Jovi was standing in the wings waiting to be introduced. John and Nikki were already on set talking with Kathy Lee and Hoda. Randy was standing behind her and kissed her forehead.
"You will be fine Giovanni. " He said spinning her around.
Jovi spun around and saw He was wearing a nice pinstriped suit And had that Panty dropping smile that made her smile and forget her worries. She kissed his lips softly and wiped them off quickly since she was wearing a pink lipstick.
Randy stopped her and said "Leave it. Your my wife and i don't mind the world knowing we kiss a lot."
Jovi let out a giggle and said "We do more than that."
Randy pulled her in about to kiss her and said in a whisper only she could hear "That's for us and i didn't hear you complaining in the bathroom."
"You never will" She said with a giggle.
Nikki had taken Jovi shopping at the major label stores but it wasn't her style. So she had decided on a pair of white jean with little rips, a black long sleeve shirt that tied under her boobs to show off her abs, and a fresh pair of Louis Vuitton knee high heeled boot.
Randy spun her around and said "Glad To See Nicole hasn't change you too much. I can see wee will need a space for red bottoms though."
Jovi let out a giggle, leaning into him and said "Shoes are the only thing she could sell me on cause everything else cost way more than it should."
Randy held her close as they watched John and Nikki look so in love in talking about their engagement and the story behind the ring and such. Jovi started stressing a bit as one of the hosts started asking about her.
Kathy smiled and sipped a glass of wine and said "No i hear some other congratulations are in order. Your sister made her debut and videos went viral of her wedding after party. But You guys weren't there was that for show or was that a personal choice."
John let out a sigh watching the clip of the after party and Jovi acting just like him and listened to the question and said "Well that was very much a personal choice. I had just find out the little girl I use to watch doing flips and tricks in the back yard is a wrester. Not only is she a wrestler she is now married to my best friend. So it was personal and i regret it because i should of sucked up my pride and been there for her like she always had been for me."
Jovi could see the tears in his eyes and just held onto Randy knowing this was going to be tough.
"Now there is a rumor going around that she isn't really your sister that she is your daughter. Is there any truth to that? because you have been telling Nikki no kids and now you are ready to give it to her." Hoda sipped her wine.
John looked at Nikki who had a glass of wine in her hand. John took a sip from her glass and said "there is a lot of truth to that rumor she is my real life daughter. I had her when i was young and just starting my career and i knew i couldn't handle it so my mom took the responsibility of raising her and she was always my sister. I had been so stern with nikki on the no kids because right after my daughter Giovanni or jovi for short was born I knew if i couldn't be a man and raise her I would never and should never have another one."
"That an important choice to make at a young age. Why make it?" Kathy lee asked him.
"Because it wouldn't be fair to parent another child when you couldn't parent the first was a personal choice it was the same reason I would never get married again but Nikki made me better and want to try. But Trying is stepping up and admitting hey I have a kid out there. I wasn't ever expecting her to show up the way she did but I am glad she did." John said kissing Nikki's hand.
Nikki smiled, it felt like a nice gratification to hear the words and understand what he was dealing with and why he did what he did.
Kathy smiled and said "Well That's great. We could Tell that you were stunned to see her. But did either of you really know she was training and had this persona and was going to show up."
John shook his head no.
Nikki raised her hand and said "I Did but i didn't know when or where. She had an alternate persona though when it came to the ring and tv. She didn't want to be known as John Cena's little sister aka his daughter but i didn't know that at the time and I got that just being his girlfriend and now fiancée. So she made sure John never knew because she wanted to do it when she felt she could be as good as him because he is a lot to live up to"
Nikki took a sip of wine as Kathy said "That's a lot to keep secret. how long did you have to keep it?"
"Honestly for the last two years i had been down in Orlando with my neck surgery and training as best I could. I just happen to run into her in the locker room stunned to see her because we all thought she was in New York modeling. So i am freaking out about to get on the phone with john she begs me not to and then tells me she has been with the company for three years prior and was working Nxt and dark matches under this persona and pitched this idea that wouldn't come to light till last Monday because of creating and other timing issues." Nikki said shifting in her seat looking at john as she said this because it hurt that she has never told him.
John kissed her forehead and wiped the tears forming.
The hosts let out an awe and Hoda asks "But why do you keep this secret for you now soon to be step daughter?"
Nikki smiled looking down at her ring and said "Because like i said i knew the pain and hell she would get just for being his daughter which again had no idea at that point. But she feared that everyone would assume it was handed to her. She never wanted that. Plus John had been bringing her to events all the time and I babysat her and could see she had talent when she wanted to get in the ring with us during training and spots. So I knew she had talent and she didn't deserver that mark that says you got this because your his kid. She wanted to earn it every step of the way. even when she and randy started dating everyone pushed and pushed but she said no."
As Nikki was talking Randy and Jovi were making out behind where the hosts were. This was a typical thing for them because they would forget where they were. John can be seen going red in the face shaking his head.
Hoda asked and said "John what's wrong?"
The camera panned behind them as Kathy had looked over her shoulder seeing the newlyweds making out.
She started to fan herself and said "Wow...Is that an all the time thing?"
"If it is i need a glass of wine." John said with a smile.
The girls laughed and the two still had no idea anyone was on to them. Randy had lifted her up and she wrapped her legs around him and the fans were now more interested in the make out session as the show was at a commercial break. John just covered his face amazed at this and how they acted in public with out a care.
The fans started to whistle at them and wolf howl at them. Which got both of their attentions and they both looked completely embarrassed because they thought they couldn't be seen. Jovi was completely embarrassed hiding in Randy's chest that they saw that. Randy was smiling with his lips stained with her pink gloss and he was gonna keep it there too.
Everyone composed themselves again and they came back from commercial
Kathy was fanning himself and said "Welcome back guys and it just got a little steamy in here just a bit ago but i think it has cooled down a bit now and we can bring out John Cena's Daughter Giovanni "Jovi" Cena."
The fans cheered as Jovi came out waving and cheering for her. She took a seat between Kathy and John with a glass of Rose in front of her.
As she took a quick sip Kathy made the joke "I would want a sip of that to after kissing that man like that."
Jovi laughed it off and said "I can't help it sometimes. This is the first we have gotten to be open about us and who we were as a couple. Because we have had to leave separate lives because i get bull headed and don't want to take the easy way out of situations just because i am related to a wrestling legend like John Cena."
John smiled as she gave him a side hugs and kissed he head.
Hoda smiled and said "If that was my husband i wouldn't want to help it either."
Kathy looked at hoda and said "Why don't we Bring him Out here and ask these questions too?"
Kathy honestly just wanted to admire him. Randy came out with a smile wave kissing their cheeks and was seated behind Jovi now alongside John who was behind Nikki. The fans were shouting and hollering and loving it.
Kathy Smiled and said "Yes the Randy Orton stock is rising and any pic we see of you especially in those reception party picture you could a male model.
"I was before and still am for our private collection. But that was definitely a fun party" Randy said licking his lips making Jovi blush.
Kathy was still fanning herself and said "It looks like it. There were so many shoutouts on Instagram on and videos of the two of you. How did you pull all that off in one day for your fiancée?"
Randy kissed her head and said "Well she had been planning this wedding for a year and was having a hard time to keep it all together and she knew it was getting to be time to tell John about everything because she wanted us to be married and be a whole family. Well i was lucky that John was proposing to Nikki because i was able to get my mom and our wrestling family to set it all up because I wanted her to have one less worry on her plate because she had been preparing for the worst to come of all the secrets and such she had to keep up."
"Now how did you two first meet?" Hoda asked
Jovi laughed looking at her brother and said "Well we first met when I was sixteen I had always had a crush on him. I was in the cafeteria alone and not sure how that happened and he started to sweet talk me and just played himself up. He had no idea who i was and that i was related to John I don't think. But he asked for my number. I was shocked but its Randy orton so i slipped it to him. I told him how old i was but he swore he would hold on to it till i was 18."
"Did you Randy?" Kathy asked laughing
Randy shook his head no and said "No i was a cocky kid then and i didn't know how old she was or who she was and a mutual friend took the number from me. I wouldn't meet her till her second year in the company and wouldn't get a date a year later because she was focused on everything she had going on but We would end up being the last to at the performance center and something just started to click."
Kathy smiled and looked at john and asked "How did you feel about this watching your little girl with a friend and he is flirting with her."
John looked at Jovi and said "I didn't find out till a mutual friend told me and i made him throw it out and I saw him do it. Because back then I had to think of her as my sister because that how she was raised to be. I had no idea if she knew the truth about our relationship so I had to play big brother and step in and say hey no that's not okay."
Hoda asked "Jovi how did you end up working with WWE"
Jovi sipped her wine and said "Well I had been in New York as a model and a dancer while i was home schooling myself since I was sixteen around the time my grandparents were going through a divorce. I found out John was my dad during a fight they would have while I was finishing moving my stuff into an apartment my agency was paying for. I was 18 at this point and I told my agent I wanted to wrestle. At this point she only knew me as Jovi C Nation. Because I didn't want the instant attention of being Cena's little sister aka daughter."
"But why wouldn't you want to ride that wave and come out as his daughter if you knew." Kathy lee asked.
Jovi looked at John and said "Because he had made his career this thing and it was amazing and i didn't want to take way from that. I wouldn't start using the Cena last name till I was 18 and i stuck with what we all knew in the family i was his sister. So of course once people hear John Cena's little sister wants to be a wrestler they want to get your claws into you."
"But You eventually choose WWE but for 5 years you keep this completely secret life and you meet your husband and you balance this lie you living with john when does all this come to light. What was it like those five years of training and hiding how you were doing it?" Hoda asked.
Jovi started to tear up thinking about it and said "It was hard honestly. there were so many times I wanted to tell John but i was using a persona that is completely different from myself so I could let the emotions i was feeling out in front of the audience as this weird gothic character and no one knows I am John Cena's little sister. Everyone still thought i was a model and i was. I was booking modeling gig in any city i was in for WWE just to keep up the lie. I wouldn't meet Randy till my second year of training and he instantly knew who i was especially when i wasn't wearing the make up. Those who knew me as a kid didn't know who I was because they were use to me being this short little john cena look a like. But Randy knew and would harass me about a date and WWE pitch stories to me with him. It would be this year that WWE would realize who i was to because i had to go to the office's and Vince McMahon instantly knew who I was."
"Wow a meeting with vince how does that go?" Kathy asks her as she sips her wife.
Jovi let out a giggle readjusting herself and said "Well of course when you meet with vince its one of two things either you are being let go or you are moving up in the world. This just happen to be a moving on up. When he realized who I was he actually pitch to me at a fresh twenty years old what if John Cena was my dad. I would deny this because the fans knew he was my brother from interviews we did. Plus i couldn't do that to john knowing what we both knew. He pleaded with me to do this angle with John but I stood mt ground and said I wasn't going to do it till the time was right."
"How did you know the time was right?" Hoda asked adjusting herself in her seat invested in this story.
"Well eventually my now husband would get a date after a bet i lost when Lesner beat taker. he would propose three years later at my first Wrestlemania in a dark match. For the next year of our relationship I was planning every little detail of our wedding.
Now it was getting rough because John's my dad and its a big thing to have him apart of it. but he hasn't known anything for the last five years of my life. he honestly thought i was just modeling and doing indy shows. So when John decided to propose to Nikki at wrestelmania I had to give WWE the green light.
Now the company knew Randy and I were a thing and Maryse and miz had done this amazing program with them and now that they were official as a wedding gift I wanted to show John what I was up to for five years while he was with nikki and doing movies and being a star." Jovi said as she looked at John and Nikki both as she spoke.
Kathy looking confused asked "How do you hide a steamy relationship like that and a whole life from your own family?"
Jovi laughed wiping her eyes and said "That was hard hard work. It was a lot of being alone with just my riding partner or one of the girls barely seeing randy and when we do its ten fifteen minute of what you saw. Because i was trying to hide from John. Anytime i would see him i would duck off or just make a run for it past him.
Though I thought i was made during one of my nxt matches and my face paint wore off and he was backstage for something. I wanted to celebrate with him but I knew it wasn't time so i some how was able to keep my face covered with a towel shaking his hand as he said you were great out there kid. It was like getting praise from my dad for the first time and it was amazing but he didn't know it was me.
So it would hurt not to tell him. But Like My father i looked at the figures and the number and the fan would be invested if there was a true honest reaction."
Jovi started to cry a bit as john handed her the pocket square from his pocket.
Nikki said "And that thought right there is we all gave her the nickname baby cena. Because that thought to build something and grow something and get raw reaction is exactly how john is sometimes in the ring."
"How fitting of a nickname because The ratings were definitely boosted last night and Your social medias went viral. You went from hundreds of thousands to Millions of followers once you came onto social media. From this stunt of hiding for this lie your living you are thrown into the light what makes you change the narrative now and let john be your dad and not your brother." Hoda asked trying to be delicate with the question.
Jovi smiled and looked at Randy.
"Well My Stepdaughter came to me with was wedding gift and it was adoption papers. She was asking me to be her forever mom." Jovi started to cry looking over at Alanna who was standing in the wings with a stage hand
Alana was hiding her face in woman's neck and just wanted Jovi. Jovi could hear her cries and decided to get up mid interview and get her so she would feel better. Jovi sat back down with Alanna sitting on her lap hiding her face being shy.
Jovi looked at john and said "She had asked me that right after John and I had talked on the phone because I had sent out some questionable pictures to family and friends of my after party including my tattoo. We had agreed to go to Tampa and I had decided to tell him then because Alanna my stepdaughter had made Nikki a jersey cause she is a fan and CoCo and Cena are her favorite people. So i had a few other made and there was no real way to tell John Cena I know your my dad because he is always busy. So i had made a few matching throw backs to ones he had back in the day and put godpop on the back of one because Alanna wanted him to have a gift to because it wouldn't be fair. It was suppose to say Uncle Cena but since i was the one making them i changed it because i wanted an honest reaction."
"well an honest reaction you got obviously and then you posted a picture of you, your dad and your daughter outside of a chuckie cheese we are hearing you guys shut down for the day. " Kathy said with a laugh.
Jovi laughed and nodded her head looking at John who was just nodding his head yes as well.
"Yes we did. I was finding out that I was a godpop and little Alanna said she wanted to go to chuckie cheese. So me being me decided we needed a day out as a real family and do what normal people did forgetting I am john Cena and everything I do goes viral. The staff was gracious enough to block off the room they reserve for birthdays parties and had fun." John said laughing.
Hoda and Kathy let out a laugh
Kathy said "Well Fun you had and then Jovi ... By the way how did you get that nickname."
"Ask him?" She pointed to john as she kissed Alanna's head who was slowly poking her head out a bit.
John laughed and said "Well when she was a baby and was having a rough night all we had to do was put bon jovi on and she would calm down. So we all just started to call her Jovi because once she grew up that is all she would listen to and then it just kind of stuck."
"Well Jovi you and her daughter would take a picture that would break the internet and put some value behind Jovi Cena and start this whole frenzy not to mention you and Niki being engaged" Hoda said .
"That was unexpected but with technology and everything it goes around fast. Not To mention the reaction from Fans on everything." John said sipping his wine.
"well when we get back from commercial break will will bring out Jovi's husband Randy and ask him some juicy questions and find out more about this family dynamic."Kathy said as they had to go to commercial.
Everyone was readjusting themselves and even brought out a chair and a apple juice for Alanna. Jovi shared a nervous look back at Randy feeling she might have done wrong bring Alanna out with them. But it was her mom instincts. Kathy Lee started to admire how well behaved she was and polite she was.
"she is the sweetest thing ever guys." Kathy said as makeup came through to touch them all up a little.
Jovi smiled at Alanna who was sitting Quietly with her juice happy as she could be "Thank you so much. I am sorry for bringing her out but that was the mom instinct that said hey my kid needs me."
Kathy smiled grabbing Jovi's hand and said "Never apologize for being a mom. Not many women would do what you do and take the roll you are taking on at your age and its amazing to know biologically she isn't yours but she respects and responds to you like you were.
Jovi smiled at the comment and felt herself glowing a little bit more to know she was doing right. The producers were starting the count down back into the show as Alanna pulled on Jovi's shirt.
"I love you." Alanna whispered in her ear.
Jovi smiled kissing her head and lifting her chin and said "I love you too."
Randy rubbed her shoulders as they were counted back in and had to regain their composure.
the lights came back up and Kathy said "Welcome back guys. We are sitting here with WWE superstars John Cena, Randy Orton Nikki Bella and Jovi Cena...Is it Cena or Orton now that you two are hitched."
Randy and Jovi had never discussed this ever. It was never a thought.
Jovi looked flabbergasted and said "Well I honestly never thought about it when we went through the wedding stuff . But I am 90 percent sure on the marriage license stuff I put Giovanni Leann Marie Orton."
John looked at her and asked "How Do you forget what your legal name is?"
"Well when you have so much juicy details in this world that you are trying to make an impact around big names like all three of yours. You forget things like that. Your getting old you know about forgetting right dad." Jovi said teasing him a bit.
John looked at her scratching his head and said "I'm not to old to come around and whoop you butt for talking about my age."
"and I am still smart enough to run so." Jovi said with a smirk at him.
Kathy and Hoda were laughing and Hoda said 'You guys are amazing. But Randy you are around the same age as John. How are you feeling being the veteran now aligned with a a rookie essentially in the business? Are you guys having to train her more and get her to your level."
Randy scratched his nose and laughed looking at john and Nikki and the crowd and said "She not a rookie by any means. Yeah her age says she is a rookie. To Tell the truth she can hang with any one of us on any given night and be just as good and give you a show even when she is just training she does it like she would do it for the fans."
"Now we heard Jovi say that you were begging for a date and would give in after a bet. How long had you tried for that date and did you ever think about giving up at all?" Kathy said looking at her notes.
randy raised his eyebrow and said "Are you kidding me? There was never a thought of giving up especially when i saw her with my daughter anytime she was around. As for how long it took it took a solid year to even get her to want to say yes and that took a bet i never thought i would win."
"But you would win how would this bet come along?" Hoda asked wanting the dish.
John chimed in and said "I am intrigued too. Because I knew Randy had a thing for my daughter because he would always ask me about her . I also knew Jovi has had a crush on him since I was in OVW when Berfore the training program became what it became."
Jovi let out a laugh and looked back at John as Randy said "Well that came up during a late night ring session. It was the night before Wrestlemania and we were just in the ring in the arena with no one around. I was trying to use this as a date because i knew people in high places that knew here and how we both felt about each other. But like my friend and her father she just wanted to run the ropes and try new stuff out just incase she might be needed for anything. Finally it was late and i had a match myself the next night I told her let make a bet if i win you have to go on one date if you win ill stop and we can keep this platonic friendship for the sake of my daughter because Jovi was like her best friend when she was in Orlando with me. And I let her pick the terms of the bet."
"What made you choose taker versus leasnar.?" Hoda asked Jovi.
Jovi shrugged her shoulders and said "Because I didn't think Taker would lose to be honest i mean the man is a legend."
"But You lose and then you end up engaged and as of last night married. How do you hide that from everyone and did you tell anyone?"
Jovi looked at Nikki knowing john was going to find this all shocking and said "Well of course we told the office when we had made it official because that it what you do in our world. Then I told my Bella sisters Brie and Nicole. Sorry nikki. They had been my rocks through out this journey because they understood where i was coming form because they both were in love with co workers that had higher spots than them. I also told four other people. Stephanie and Hunter who were like the parents i needed to keep me grounded and gave me advice at every time I needed when dealing with what ever was on my plate and my two friends Alexa bliss and Carmella who were brides maid."
John was stunned what all Nikki really knew about Jovi and what he other life was.
"john you looked a little stunned." Kathy said seeing his face.
John looked at Nikki and said There are things we will talk about later. But I am stunned that some of the closest people in my life knew this secret and didn't tell me.
Jovi looked back and John grabbing his hand and said "Because it wasn't their secret to tell and though they should have. I as family as blood should have said something. I should have made a greater effort to try and tell you but we all had messy schedules and barely got to have coffee with each other unless you needed me for something big. I should have said something sooner."
John grasped her hand and said "And I am sorry I couldn't be there to walk you down the aisle."
Before it got to emotional Hodas said "I know you guys did this quick wedding. But are you guys going to have an Actual Ceremony and a real party for the family. "
Jovi smiled leaning her head back to ask randy permission. She gave him a kiss getting her response.
"See she is getting his approval take notes Nikki." John said teasing her.
"I do ask your approval just not about every little thing like they do." Nikki said in response.
Jovi sat up blushing and said "Yes we are. We as a family Me Randy and Alanna every July fourth weekend go to universal studios and as much as I wanted to get married and have a reception there as well in the great all of Hogwarts I don't have John Cena Money. So July fourth weekend this year we are doing a real ceremony at the hard rock hotel along with and outdoor reception."
"Oh I am sure after this you will be on your way to John Cena money because i usually never watch but I was apart of that vegas bet if john would propose. so i watch and then i tuned in the next night because i was hooked watching the show and of course im hooked on their love story now so when i was you come out i had so many question for my sons who are fans and watch it all the time." Kathy said
The producer was motioning them to look at the tablets in front of them of a video of john and Jovi when she was ten dancing to lets hear it for the boy and her and Alanna had recreated it on tik tok with the side by side over the weekend.
John and jovi could hear the music playing and knew what it was and both covered their faces. because they knew what they were going to have to do now. Randy and Nikki were both intrigued.
Hoda said "Okay we were gonna end it on a sappy note but we were just linked to a video that was on Alanna's tiktok of Jovi and her recreating a dance that you two did when she was ten years old."
The clip was in their moms backyard. She was in the backyard with her barbie boom box and making a routine to lets heat it for the boy and John joins in with her ending in back flips in unison.
John said "Oh god i forgot that clip existed and you recreated it."
Jovi smiled knowing what was about to be asked and said "Sorry."
"Will you guys do this dance for to to end our show today?" Kathy asked them with a smiled covering her face almost fangirling herself.
Alanna smiled watching the clip and pulled on Jovi's shirt and asked "Can i do it to mom?"
Jovi looked at her and said "Of course but you better go butter up your god pop I am not sure he can move like us anymore."
John smiled and undid his tie and took off his jacket and said "oh I bet I can come on princess let do this." as he held his hand out for Alanna.
The studio cheered for them as Jovi smirked standing up as they went to the side stage. Nikki and Randy turned to look in amazement with the rest of the world even pulling out their phones to clip this for memories.
They started playing the song and as the lyrics hit Jovi started singing forgetting she was microphoned up and it amazed everyone with her talent. John forgot her many talents and paused watching her and Alana do this dance together as Jovi sang because he had forgot the steps. The girls went in for the back flip but Jovi didn't trust her heels and landed in the splits ripping her jeans right down the middle.
Jovi's made a sudden O as she landed. Luckily for her the show was ending and just playing the final clips of her landing and the sound of the rip. Randy, Nikki, John along with Jovi herself were dying at this moment ant that was her ending to a great talk show her jeans just ripping after a split.
Alanna was so happy she landed her split she was trying to help Jovi up
"Come on mom its over." Alanna said taking her hands.
Jovi stopped laughing for a moment and said "mom isn't stuck boo. Moms pants ripped."
"I told you to wear a dress mom." Alanna said shaking her head taking Nikki's hand who was going backstage.
Nikki said "I told her to wear a dress to baby girl."
John was laughing anytime he looked at her because that was one way to make a media impact. So he decided to entertain the crowd.
"So yeah that's my daughter and ladies that why you don't show off in tight jeans that were designed already ripped in random places." John said as he grabbed his his jacket.
Randy had finally stopped laughing long enough to walk over to her and help her up as john wrapped his suit jacket around her so no one saw anything. Once on her feet Jovi did a bow as the crowd cheered for them. John stayed behind to sigh a few autographs .
Randy and Jovi rushed back to the dressing room to see what other clothing options the Nikki's stylist had on the rack for Nikki since Nikki had offered it to her too since she wasn't use to this.
The two made it to the dressing room and randy kissed her nose and said "Well That's one down and a nice pair of jeans ripped on live Tv. Now you made a fool of yourself on this one the rest will be easy."
Jovi furrowed her brown and just pushed him into the room kissing his lips.
I think she handled that well i am not sure what will be next i am think maybe fallon or maybe kelly and ryan not sure or might just jump to tv let me know what u think.
