Before anyone asks like ive said I took this from a script and the book so if you don't recognize something its most likely from the book.
Something Hiccup said must have hit home because soon he was dragging him out of his hut through the snow back to where he had found him.
"Now she may already know you're here, the woods are full of her spies, even some of the trees are on her side," said Mr. Tumnus quietly though his voice was still full of panic as they ran.
"W-what will she do to you if she finds out?" asks Hiccup fearfully.
"She'll have my tail cut off and my horns sawn off, and my beard plucked out-" he started before realizing he was speaking to an 8 year old child who was staring up at him with horrified eyes.
"M-maybe you should just turn me over then," said Hiccup not wanting that to happen to his new friend, he decided to stick to the title friend because after hearing this he knew that many others would probably kidnap someone to avoid death or torture so its not really his fault.
"No no no," protested Mr. Tumnus lying, "I doubt it will be nearly as gruesome, I might just be turned to stone for a little bit until eight thrones at Cair Paravel are filled… if the prophecy is even true, Hiccup how many siblings do you have?"
"I don't have any, i'm an only child,"
Mr. Tumnus breathed a sigh half of relief, half of worry, at least this child wasn't going to participate in the war but then again when would the Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve come? When he realized that even though it was mostly assumed that they would all be siblings, nowhere in the prophecy said that they were, "Is there anyone else who knows about this place?"
"No... I intend to tell them... when I get back... though," said Hiccup running out of breath with the clearing nearly in sight.
"Them? Are there 8 of you?"
"Yes,"
" 3 Daughters of Eve and 5 sons of Adam?" he inquired more.
"Yes…" trailed off Hiccup, getting suspicious of how he knew this before Mr. Tumnus could explain though they reached the lamppost.
"Can you find your way back from here?" he asked.
"I think so,"
"All right,"
"Will you be alright?" he asked before he went into the bushes which he hoped would take him back home, Mr. Tumnus faltered at this and began dabbing his eyes again as Hiccup went to comfort him.
"Im sorry, i'm so sorry," he said before handing him the tissue again, "Here,"
"Keep it, you need it more than I do,"
"No matter what happens, Hiccup Haddock, I am glad to have met you, you've made me feel warmer than I've felt in a hundred years, now go," he urged, "Go!"
Hiccup whirled around quickly pushing through the thicket and snow which faded into soft fur coats and wooden planks under his feet.
"98, 99, 100! Ready or not here I come!" yelled Dagur from downstairs.
Hiccup burst out of the wardrobe, and ran out of the room announcing that, "It's alright! Im back! I'm alright!
"Shut up he's coming!" said Snotlout in annoyed voice as he ran past his hiding spot right as Dagur entered the room causing Snotlout to sigh in frustration and annoyance, Hiccup was the one who wanted to play the stupied game in the first place, and there he goes, giving everyone away.
"You know, I'm not sure you two have quite got the idea of this game," chuckled Dagur, finding this amusing as Snotlout looked like he wanted to explode, he hated being the first one out in games.
"You know this is why nobody likes playing games with you, Useless!" he snarled at him coming out from behind this curtain, which both Dagur and Hiccup ignored.
"Weren't you wondering where I was?" questioned Hiccup not figuring out that perhaps time worked differently, then again you don't really plan to be sucked into another dimension out of the blue.
"That's the point! That was why he was seeking you, duh!" scowled Snotlout in a condescending voice before sticking his tongue out at Hiccup.
The others came out of their hiding spots soon after wanting to hear what the commotion was.
"What's going on?" questioned Astrid redoing her hair into her usual braid after it got messed up from stuffing herself into a chest.
"Useless here forgot how to play Hide and Seek,"
"He is not useless Snotrag," said Dagur with a quiet threat in his voice turning back to Hiccup, "What happened?"
"I-I've been gone for hours," said Hiccup his voice full of confusion as he shuffled his feet feeling more wary under the stares of the others as they exchanged glances as if he was crazy as he started recounting everything.
"Well Hiccup has officially gone Crazy!"
"He's not being crazy," said Dagur, sending a glare Snotlout's way.
"No we know crazy, and this is it," cackled the twins from somewhere downstairs still hiding.
"You're just making up a story for fun, aren't you Hiccup?" laughed Dagur as the others thought this was a reasonable answer, Hiccup always liked to play games that involved fairy tale creatures, especially trolls stealing socks.
"I take him hunting, and he goes hunting for trolls!" said Snotlout in a mocking tone of Hiccup's father.
"I'm not making this up! And trolls are real! They steal your socks but only your left ones!," insisted Hiccup quoting Gobber earning a snort from Snotlout, "Its- it's a magical wardrobe! There is a forest inside it and it's snowing! And there is a Faun and a Witch and it's called Narnia, come and see!"
The others exchanged glances but decided to play along since Hiccup seemed so intent on it, and because they knew that when Hiccup put his mind on something he never stopped so unless they wanted to be bothered all day about "Narnia" they better at least have a look.
They followed Hiccup as he skipped back into the room showing them the wardrobe which looked like any ordinary wardrobe, other than the cool markings on the outside though most wardrobes had some sort of engraving on it, Dagur and Astrid opened the doors and pulled the coats out of the way finding…
Nothing, absolutely nothing, Dagur knocked on the back of the wardrobe's wood just to be thorough.
"It's just an ordinary Wardrobe, the only wood in there is the back of the wardrobe,"
"One game at a time Hiccup, we don't all have your imagination," said Heather.
"A jolly good hoax though. I must admit we half believed you," added Dagur seeing Hiccup's crestfallen expression.
"Yeah, I was worried something was going to jump out," chuckled Fishlegs nervously to Hiccup looking around the empty room almost as if he expected something to jump out still.
"I didn't," laughed Snotlout haughtily.
"Shut up Snotlout," snapped Astrid never really seeing the point in Make-belief as her parents called it, if your going to play a game you might as well get some experience out of it, even Hide and Seek let you think about places to hide in a moments notice. But witches and fauns? What was the use in that fiddle fuff?
The others turned to leave the room, but Hiccup's distressed voice caused them to turn around, "But I wasn't imagining!"
"That's enough Hiccup," stated Astrid, starting to lose her patience with the younger boy.
"I wouldn't lie about this!" protested Hiccup in the same distressed voice almost in tears as the others glanced at each other uneasily, they didn't want Hiccup to cry really, but the only way to stop it would be to agree with this nonsense, and they were a stubborn reality filled lot except for Fishlegs who still looked doubtful. Besides they knew Hiccup forgave easily by tomorrow even if he did cry it would blow over.
"Well I believe you," said Snotlout as everyone turned their heads in astonishment wondering where he was going with this.
"You do?" asked Hiccup hopefully but mostly just skeptically waiting for the but.
"Yeah of course," said Snotlout seriously before switching back to his normal snotty voice as he barked out a laugh, "Didn't I tell you guys about the football field in the cupboards,"
"Oh will you just stop!" snapped Dagur with the others shaking their heads disapprovingly, "You just always have to make Everything worse, don't you!"
"It was just a joke!"
"When are you going to learn to grow up!?" scowled Astrid pushing it a bit too far considering that's what Spitelout always finished his conversations with him.
"S-Shut up! You take that back! You think you're such the grownup being a-all p-perfect and all that crap but you're not!" yelled Snotlout coming close to tears too though he would never let on, on that detail before storming out pushing against everyone on his way.
"Well That was nicely handled," said Heather, going after him. She didn't like him that much, but she didn't hate him either.
"B-but... It really was there…" said Hiccup, his voice a small thing now after watching what just unfolded in front of him.
"Astrid's right Hiccup, enough is enough," said Dagur as he was the last to leave the room, leaving Hiccup alone.
