AyodelePKA here with the fourth chapter of Akuma no Shinobi. Am so glad that the story is progressing well enough, am grateful for the favorites, reviews and follows. So happy that my efforts are shinning through, thanks alot guys. I also would like to apologize for not updating the story for so long, please forgive me I have been through a lot lately. "...Butterfly Bomb"

A massive explosion occurred upon impact sending up dirt and earth, creating a dust cloud. The shockwave of the attack sent gai flying off choji's shoulder while shikamaru's had an unfortunate encounter with a tree trunk.

The smoke cleared to reveal the unconscious form of cole as his bijuu chakra subsided with choji standing tall over him, but his right hand had burn marks on it. The seven tails had fired a point blank bijuudama at his head and it was only by some miracle that he had survived. He glanced at the unconscious form of shikamaru against the tree trunk. He was probably knocked out from chakra exhaustion. If it hadn't been for his kagemane no jutsu, he would have been dead by now.

'Thanks shikamaru, I owe you one' He thought before fatique and chakra exhaustion caught up to him as he fell forward only to get caught by Gai who now had the unconscious form of shikamaru on his shoulder as he surveyed the damage done by choji's attack.

"For a single attack to cause so much damage...is truly remarkable"

"Gai...se..sensei"

"Save your energy, we're leaving"

Takigakure

"Shibuki-sama" A shinobi barged into his office in a haste looking like he just ran a marathon. He was covered in sweat and grim and looked like he could die from lack of energy. He tried composing himself infront of his leader but shibuki cared little for that.

"What is it? Did you find anything? He deemanded as he looked up ftom his paperworks and at the shinobi infront of him.

"We did. But you are not gonna like what we found".

"Try me"

Now

Shibuki and the ninja arrived at the site where the battle had taken place. The once forested area now a wasteland. One of the men that he had sent out on surveillance quickly approached him immediately he saw him and bowed.

"Shibuki -sama you should see this" The ninja lead their leader to other side of the battlefield where a giant hole was made and in the laid the unconscious naked form of cole.

"Who did this?" Shibuki demanded eyes glued on the unconscious form of cole. The ninja instead of answering opted to show him an headband instead.

"That headband belongs to..."

"..Kumogakure"

"What was a kumo nin doing here in taki?" The taki nin inquired as shibuki examined cole's unconscious body while the others scout the area for clues.

"I think the real question should be..what exactly are they looking for?"

TAKE NO MURA

"What's taking the tsuchikage so long?" Ai demanded as he waited patiently for the tsuchikage to arrive. He was flanked on both sides by his bodyguards, Darui and C. He had been here for more than half an hour and he was anything but a patient man. Ai has a dark skin with a large muscular build, white air combed back, a small mustache and goatee. His face has pronounced cheekbones and tear under his eyes, and a permanent crease across his forehead. He has pointed canines and his top lip also has a darker hue than the bottom one; traits he inherited from his father. Ai often wears a white haori without a shirt underneath and occasionally the traditional raikage hat which he currently isn't wearing. He has fuma shuriken tattoos on both shoulders and originally wore large, vambraces on is wrists.

"Please be calm raikage-sama, tsuchikage-dono will probably be here any moments from now". C reassured as he tried to keep the raikage from wrecking havoc.

"I am calm!" Ai rebutted though his patience no matter how little was gradually running out. A cloud nin appeared in the room before the raikage in a shunshin with his head bowed.

"The tsuchikage has arrived" The cloud nin announced.

"Finally, dismissed!" And with that the cloud nin left the room. The tsuchikage walked into the room with her two bodyguards garbed in iwa's traditional jonin attire with the brown flak jacket, the tsuchikage dons the tsuchikage robe and hat. Ai stared at the woman standing opposite him not even bothering to welcome her.

"You are late Kurotsuchi" Darui and C facepalms at the raikage's lack of respect but the tsuchikage doesn't seem the least bothered by it instead she gained a slight smile.

"I apologize for my tardiness raikage-dono" Kurotsuchi has short, black hair and distinctly pink eyes which are accentuated by her eyelashes running upwards at the corners. She wears a red dress that is kept open on the front-right side from the waist down, revealing her right leg. It only has a sleeve on the left side. She also wears her hair shorter around the sides as well as red nail polish.

"No need to apologise Tsuchikage-dono" Ai waved off as got up to finally greet her. His bodyguards darui and C flanked both sides of him. The Raikage gestured for her to take a seat which she did while he sat back down. She looked around the dark room that laid completely bare except for six people currently occupying it. The only sign of light being the burning candle stick situate at the centre of the table in front of him. She stared at the two men that stood behind the sitted raikage and gave a slight frown before wiping it off her face.

"You sure know how to pick a crappy location"

"Well we wouldn't want any outer source listening in on our conversation now, do we?"

"So what's this meeting about?" Ai questioned deciding to get it overwith.

"Eager are we?"

"We are in a time of crisis tsuchikage. Anything could happen while am away"

"True. Well my main reason for this meeting is to propose a truce or to be more specific an alliance".

"An alliance? For what purpose? Ai questioned hoping that the tsuchikage hasn't lost it like her grandfather before his death.

"To take down konohagakure.They have proven to be more than a nuisance in this war. We will be aiding each other by getting rid of them."

"I can take down konoha by myself" Ai stubbornly refused.

"And what about the other threat?" He has proven to be more than capable of taking down a kage" She reasoned as she gestured to the stump that had once been his right hand.

"What will you do then if you are to encounter the akuma no shinobi?" At the mention of the name a massive explosion of chakra rock the room causing a minor earthquake as cracks appeared all over the walls of the room. The huge amount of KI caused the bodyguards to tremble under it pressure while the tsuchikage remained unaffected. Just as it had appeared the pressure disappeared causing the room to go silent once again. The escorts greedily inhale air immediately the pressure was lifted.

"I broke him once, and I'll do it again."

"I doubt you will be able to do that so easily now, he proved that much". Kurotsuchi stated.

"Are you mocking me tsuchikage?" Ai sent a death glare at the tsuchikage causing both his and her bodyguards to grab their weapons as the room grow tense.

"Am not. Just stating facts".

Groan*

"So what says you raikage-dono?" She questioned wanting to know where he stands in all of this before going into detains.

"What do you have in mind?"

"A full frontal attack"

"What!" Ai barked at the sheer audacity of the plan.

"You heard me raikage-dono" She interlocked her fingers on the deck in front of her as she brushed off the raikage's glare.

"You of all people should know that that is not a good idea" Ai pointed out but kurotsuchi was having none of it.

"What are you afraid of raikage?" Kurotsuchi asked all of a sudden which caused the raikage to sputter.

"Wh..what?"

"Does he scare you that much?" She pressed on holing the raikage's gaze.

"What is it about Uzumaki naruto that scares you, hmm?" She raised a delicate eyebrow before standing up and walked around the table.

"Is it his unpredictability? his courage, strength...thinking capacity...jutsu...bravery?" She questioned. Each word causing Ai's frown to deepen. She stopped behind him then lean in to whisper in his ear.

"Or is it...his power?"

"Do not be mistaken tsuchikage. The only eason i bothered to attend this meeting is because your village hasn't done anything to harm mine. Why the hell would i ally myself with a mountain dog like yourself." He glared at kurotsuchi. How dare her try to play mind games with him. C and Darui watched on unable to say a word or else they incur the wrath of their kage.

"Is that so?"

"Yes"

"You still don't see the big picture"

"And what will that be".

"We use their own ninja as bargaining for them to surrender. Don't you agree naruto-san" Kurotsuchi chuckled as the wall on the far end of the room shimmered away to reveal the form of naruto namikaze catching the others who didn't know that he was hiding there by surprise as they readied their weapon.

'Just as i thought, it's a trap. Yareyareda ze'

"How bold of you to show your face here!"

"Too loud" Naruto commented brushing off the raikage's word causing him to foam as C and darui flanked both sides of him. The tsuchikage paid no attention to the angry raikage but rather at the man that had taken everything.

"How good of you to join us, we were just talking about you".

"That much is obvious. To believe that even the card of 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend can be played' is truly fascinating." He stated causing both sides to exchange looks for a brief moment before returning their focus to the man currently standing in the middle of the room with mild curiosity though they tried their best not to show it.

'What are you playing at namikaze?' The tsuchikage couldn't help but wonder.

"From what I recall the tsuchikage was the one that had the team of newly instated genins assassinated". Ai stared at kurotsuchi in disbelief and slight anger.

"So that was you tsuchikage. How dare you do that and still have the audacity to invite me here for an alliance".

"Let's not go pointing fingers just yet raikage". Naruto calmly interfered stopping the raikage before he even make any move. He take in the stance and body languages of every ninja in the room before finally settling his emotionless gaze on the raikage.

"Last time I checked Ai, you were the one that hired the akatsuki to take down the five tail jinchuuriki, am I right?" That shut Ai up immediately but kurotsuchi showed no visible reaction already knowing what his game plan was.

"So that's your tactic huh?" She said confusing the other occupants as they stared at her quizzically but she pressed on. Her gaze unwavering as she stared her greatest enemy right in the eyes.

"You came here to stop this alliance from ever forming by trying to turn us against each other. So rather than fighting you, we will be busy fighting against each other...not bad. But I saw right through your move". Kurotsuchi stated with an ignorant smile as the raikage's eyes lit up in realization.

'Tsk. Guess it's time for plan B'.

"At least you saw it coming. The raikage's brother couldn't see it not even when it hit him in the face" He mocked but he could see the raikage's body visible trembling. In a flash he appeared before him covered in his lightning armor with his fist closing in on his face.

'Here we go'

The konoha infiltration team hide within the bamboo trees overlooking the building where the secret meeting is currently taking place. They waited with batted breath for their team leader. Sakura glanced at the other members of their team to see them fully prepared for what is to come. she still remembered their brief conversation thirty minutes ago.

"So what's the plan naruto?".

"I'll go on ahead and scout out this place, probably spy on their meeting too"

"What about the rest of us?" Kiba couldn't help but ask which lee and sakura nodded at.

"You guess will be my backup. It's probably gonna be a trap"

"Then what about the signal".

"You'll know it when you see it"

And there have been no signals since then. She would have claimed that he probably had been killed on the mission but that was the old naruto not this one. He was anything but weak now.

"Lightning straight!" A loud voiced boomed interrupting her train of thought as a explosion as the left wing of the old japanese styled building blew up as naruto jumped out of the building. He landed on the ground as he stared at the raikage with a blank facade and kunai in hand. Darui appeared before him wielder in hand covered with lightning chakra, posed to dissect naruto in half. A slight shift in the air caused him to look to his right. Time slowed down as darui comes face to face with a mean right hook that send him sailing far away. The members of team naruto appeared around him as the tsuchikage along with thier bodyguards walked out of the hole made by the raikage's jutsu.

"I guess the mission was a failure" Sakura sighed at the fact that they came all this way for nothing.

"I won't be say that. It's only just starting after all" Naruto stated not taking his eyes off the kages. She gave the raikage a quick glare before shunshing after her opponent. Her example was copied by the others leaving only naruto and the two kages behind as the three had a huge stare off competition.

'Well this doesn't seem fair'.

"I thank you for coming all the way out here to greet us naruto-san. Now we don't have to infiltrate konoha to get to you". The tsuchikage smirked as the raikage's lightning cloak burst to life.

'Guess I have no choice but to fight'.

KONOHAGAKURE

Kakashi sat down on his desk overlooking some documents. His mind in deep turmoil. He flashed back to the conversation that he had with naruto before he left on his mission.

"You look worn out hokage-sama"

"Do you know why I specifically chose you for this mission"

"Because it's a trap"

"Can you elaborate?"

"It was bad enough when it was first revealed that I am the son of the late fourth hokage. Iwa made alot of attempt to assassinate me and it was only thanks to the villages protection that they were unsuccessful. So now considering that am a double S ninja with a flee on sight, they urges to get rid of me just got motivated. Not to mention that I did kill the third tsuchikage and his granddaughter is now the new kage. She'll definitely want my head on a gold plate." Naruto pointed out as he leaned back into his chair and sighed.

'Just as I thought'

"Am sorry to say this naruto but this is actually just a decoy mission" He pursed for effect hoping to let it all sink in for effect hoping to get a reaction out of him but like always it was blank.

'sigh'

"Your real goal is to assassinate the raikage and frame it on the tsuchikage, do you understand?"

"Yes hokage-sama"

Sakura materialized a few feet away from an infuriated darui with a shunshi. Darui glared at her with enough heat to set a mountain on fire.

"You are gonna pay for that"

"Well ain't that cute" Sakura said not caring at the least which only serve to infuriate darui as he immediately appeared before her in a shunshi wielder at the ready blazing with lightning. She tilted her body to the right avoiding the vertical slash and moved in with a chakra enforced punch with the intention of taking his head off but fazed through him revealing it to be an after image.

'Fast'

"AM NOT GONNA FALL FOR THE SAME TRICK TWICE!" Darui descended from the sky like a meteor blade first. She met him head on with a superpowered raising uppercut.

"RAITON: PIASUSA NDA [lightning Style: Piercing Thunder]"

"JOSHO SURU TORA [Rising Tiger]"

"INUAZUMA DOROPPU [LIGHTNING DROP]"

A massive explosion rocked the forest plain accompanied by a mild earthquake destroying a part of the forest. Naruto jumped out of the bamboo forest into a clearing. The raikage appeared a mile away from him in a flash with the tsuhikage right behind him.

"Prepare to forfit your life uzumaki naruto" Like a crack of lightning the raikage appeared in front of him fist raised and with a reactiontime that far exceeded a normal human capability he turned his body to the left dodging the raikage completely. He materialized a rasengan and aimed it at the airborne raikage's exposed back before his instinct kicked in and he abandoned the attack to instead block a missle kick from the tsuchikage that send him flying. Naruto landed in a crounch as the force of the attack sends him slidiing across the grassy plain. He got back up to his feet to glare at the tsuchikage before he realized that the raikage is nowhere to be found. He heard the crackling sound of lightning as the raikage appeared by his right again with his fist raised, this time he met him head on with a wind enhanced rasengan resulting in a power struggle that soon lead to an explosion of power propelling both back. Kurotsuchi trying to a capitalize on the situation appeared at naruto's back with an earth enhanced punch aimed at his back.

"Doton: Kengan No Jutsu [Earth Style: Stone Fist Technique]"

'Shit'

KUSAGAKURE

TENCHI-KYO

Gai zipped pass through the treeline as he ran as fast as he could back to konoha with shikamaru and choji on his shoulders. He has been running for seven hours straight without break. Both choji and shikamaru have yet to recover from their chakra exhaustion and he is starting to run low on chakra. Gathering his with he summoned the last of his chakra as a green aura appeared around his body before he blast off at inhuman speeds shaking the trees.

'I've go to hurry'.

AMIGAKURE

(Doorbell rings)

"Welcome sir"

"Good day miss mika" A chubby looking man greeted the woman standing behind the counter as stepped out of the rain with an umbrella into the small flower shop which has a wide variety of different kinds of flowers. Miss mika the owner who looked to be in her early twenties dressed in a long black gown with a slit on both sides exposing her thighs with blacks shoes and a white apron. She has purple iris and black hair tied in a high ponytail with a beautiful smile plastered on her oval shape face. He folded up his umbrella and left it off be the door side before making his way to the counter.

"What would you like today? mr amon"

"The usual please"

"Coming right up" The usual as mr amon is fond of saying is actually a small posy bouquets that consists of calla lilies, daisies and sunflowers. Mr amon is a regular customer that frequents the store alot. Mika handed him the bouquets and he gave her a piece of paper in return before making his way out of the shop

"Nice doing business with you"

"Have a nice day". She waved enthusiastic at him with that beautiful smile on her face as he picked up his umbrella and exit the store. Once he left the shop she dropped the whole happy facade and opened the paper to reveal the content. It contained the image of a rabbit with a knife in it's chest. Mika crumbled up the paper and swallowed it. She walked up to the front door of the shop and locked the door before pulling down the curtails concealing the entrance. The curtains have been embedded with seals that makes it hard for even the byakugan to penetrate. She took off her hair as she made her way to the back of the store revealing shoulder length blonde hair showing that the black hair was actually a wig. She tossed the hair on the counter as she walked around it into the store room. She grabbed a scroll from inside a nearby vase and placed it on a desk before unsealing it content. She stared at the tanto with a bush clover and a spiral symbol.

"It's time to get to work"

author note: So I'd like to apologize for the late update, I've been busy with the real world and other project though not as busy as to abandon my first work. Am really grateful for my fan base so far and for all the love and support. Now about the story. Naruto has finally engaged the kages in what happens to be a battle of superiority while kakashi seems to be bothered about the fact that naruto has become a prime target of the most villages not allied with konoha. Meanwhile other players are acting behind the scene while battles take place on the war front.

Tenchi-kyo: The heaven and earth bridge

Amegakure: The village hidden in the rain.

Kumogakure: The village hidden in the cloud

Yukigakure: The village hidden among the snow

Konohagakure: The village hidden in the leaves

Takigakure: The village hidden in the waterfall

Take No Mura: The Bamboo Village

Lightning straight: When in their lightning release chakra mode, the user runs towards the opponent and punches them at maximum speed.

RAITON: PIASUSA NDA [lightning Style: Piercing Thunder: I actually created this jutsu and like the name states it grants it user great piercing powers as the lightning chakra is completed focused and refined. The more refined it is, the sharper it becomes.

JOSHO SURU TORA [Rising Tiger: Also a jutsu I created. It gathers a huge amount of chakra to the users' fist and takes off with a devastating uppercut. The gathered chakra is then released causing an explosion on impact.

INUAZUMA DOROPPU [LIGHTNING DROP: Just like the lightning straight. When in their lighning release chakra mode, the user attacks the opponent with a dropkick.

Doton: Kengan No Jutsu [Earth Style: Stone Fist Technique: A technique where by the user encases their fist in rock for more destructive power.

Forgive me if you feel like the chapter was too short, I couldn't wait to update the story.

The kazekage sat down behind their desk looking slightly impatient like they are waiting for someone. A little wind blows into the office as they felt a presence behind them. They turned slightly to regard the cloaked mask figure crounched on the windowsil.

"Sorry to keep you waiting kazekage-sama" The figure gives a slight bow as they regarded the kazekage who only stared imapassively at them. Teal eyes stared back at orange.

"Is the mask really necessary moegi-san?". The kazekage questioned which caused to figure to take off their mask revealing a feminine face underneath with a dominant smile.

"Not at all...temari-san"

YUGAKURE

Neji sat down back against a tree in the snow covered forest with konohamaru standing in front of him as he read through the content of the scrooll he had just received from a messenger hawk. There was signs of a battle haven taken place with weapons and frozen corpse all around the forest. He furled up the scroll once he was through reading it content. He closed his eyes and eaved a heavy sigh confusing konohamaru.

"Is something the matter senpei" He questioned snapping neji out of his thoughts as he raised his head to look at konohamaru seriously who returned the gesture with a serious expression of his own. If there was one thing he has known since his time with neji is that neji eaving a sigh before turning simply means bad news.

"We are heading out konohamaru" Neji stated as he got up to his feet and dust off the snows on his clothes.

"To where senpai?" Konohamaru questioned as neji turned to face him byakugan activated with a hard look in his eyes.

"Kumogakure"
