Welcome, new user. You are the new host of The System. A tutorial has been provided for new users. New users, please press start to initiate Tutorial.
[Start]
The words hung in front of the young wiry black haired boy's bewildered face as he tried to figure out what had appeared before him as he woke up. After reading the text several times the young boy slowly raised a shaky hand towards the start button before gently tapping it, flinching back after touching it and watching the words change.
The System was created to aid its host in any task the host desires. The System does this in several ways and you shall be introduced to them all during this tutorial. The first function I will introduce is the Quests System. To access Quests the host must think "Quests."
The child wonders how such a thing could be possible, but even with doubt clouding his mind he scrunches up his face and closes his eyes waiting for something to happen. After a period of waiting for something and nothing seeming to change, he gingerly opens his eyes only to discover the words in front of him have changed.
Quests
Congratulations host for accessing the questing menu! Here you can find information on quests that you have undertaken. There is no limit on how many quests the host can have active at the same time. All quests provide rewards for successfully completing them, though some may incur penalties if you fail to complete them.
-Quest Tutorial-
Information: You have been tasked to complete the Tutorial, to figure out how to use the system to its full potential.

Confused but almost entranced the young boy follows the commands of The System without much thought and soon the previous text has changed in front of him.
Status
Name (Your Name): Harry James Potter
Title: (A title is gained by doing certain quests or actions. They often provide special bonuses): NONE
Level: 1 (0/83 Exp)
Levels determine how many Health Points (HP) and Mana (M) you have. Each level up also provides 5 free stat points. Experience Points (EXP) are points gained for completing quests or defeating foes. When you gather enough EXP, you automatically level up.

Unallocated Stat Points: 1
Effects (here you will find listed effects you are currently experiencing):
- Mind of a Gamer: You are the Gamer. You will always think with clarity and cannot be confused by magical means or have your mind read.
- Body of the Gamer: Your body is that of a video game character, allowing you to do such things as eat to recover health and to not feel tired, except when your Mana is depleted.
To allocate a stat point think of the stat you want to spend points on and allocate another point to its total.
After thinking and second guessing himself several times, the boy now named Harry decides to add the stat to Strength as it was the lowest. He watches as the Strength stat number flickers and changes to 3, then suddenly feels his muscles flex and twist in an almost massage before the stop, leaving them feeling much stronger then before. After marvelling and examining his arms and legs to check if it worked, a small smile never seen before on his face appears before he looks back up.
To continue the tutorial, please dismiss the stat menu and think "Skills."
As quick as he could he follows the instructions with a new found sense of wonder as what he will learn next.
Skills
A skill is something you can do. Here you will find a list of all skills you have available for use, what those skills do, and how proficient you are at using that skill. You gain skills by performing actions, reading skill books, learning them from other people, or as a reward for completing quests.
[NO CURRENT SKILLS.]
Dismiss the Skills menu and think "Inventory" to continue.
With a small huff and a pout at the thought he was unskilled after all the work done for his family the Dursleys, he reluctantly complies and a grid appears in the air along with some text.
Inventory
Here you can store any items you acquire as long as you yourself have the ability to carry the item. There is no size or weight limit other than you need to be physically capable of lifting the item yourself.
No living creatures can be placed in the inventory and time does not pass for things while in the inventory.
This concludes the tutorial.
Would you like to claim your rewards now or later?
[Now] [Later]
No hesitation was needed as he thought, "Now!" Immediately, he felt the changes of the +1 hit his body and roll over him. He checked his stats, pleased to see that they have all gone up by one, before he turns his eyes onto the Skills menu to see what skill he had gained.
Skills
-Observe Level 1-
Active Skill (Cost 1 MP): By carefully observing and studying a target, this skill allows the user to gain knowledge and helpful information about it.
Excited to try his first skill he looks at the door and wonders how to use Observe, before trying to use it the same way he navigated the system. Then, suddenly feeling a small drain on his energy as he expends a single mana point in activating the skill, a text box appears before him.
Old Wooden Door: It's an old wooden door that is deceptively sturdy for its age.
Just as he decides to look at other items around his cupboard under the stairs, the door violently thuds as someone pounds on it.
"Get up, you lazy boy!" A loud voice booms. "Breakfast isn't going to make its self!"
Discouraged that he couldn't play with his skills any more, he slips his glasses on with a sigh before climbing out of the cramped cupboard, only to stop as new text box appears in front of him.
[New Quest: Feeding Time]
Information: Your relatives, the Dursleys, need breakfast. You have been tasked with making it. To complete this quest, successfully cook breakfast for yourself and the Dursleys.
Rewards: Breakfast; 10 exp
Penalties for Failure: You receive the belt
A small sigh escapes Harry's mouth at the thought of having to cook for the Dursleys. He slowly gets out of bed. before a little smile appears on his mouth at the thought of being able to have breakfast if the system is right. He dons his clothes, and with a barely noticeable skip in his step, he opens the cupboard door and makes his way to the kitchen, thinking of what the system would give him for breakfast if he completes the quest.
