I clicked my door shut, finding Pansy seated at her desk scrawling a note to I assume her mum. She one overed me as I sat on my bed with a huff.
"M?" Pansy turned towards me dropping her quill.
"Mmm?" I sounded, my eyes staying glued to the ceiling.
"Why did you do that?" Her voice came out soft, not accusatory or harsh, in fact, she seemed kind of concerned and I only assumed that Draco in his blind rage would have told Blaise and Pansy what I did.
"He started it P." I said shortly.
"I understand what he did, but you kissed Hal, his best friend, and shoved it in his face."
I turned towards her to see her gentle stare at the ground, her hands in her lap.
"He said we were just friends Pansy." I breathed. "To Lola."
"I'm not saying what he did was right M. But you have to remember, this is the first time he's been exclusive with anyone, he doesn't know what he's doing or how to act. He doesn't know any better." She began in a motherly tone. "But you do. The whole school knows that he doesn't deserve you. That's no secret. But he didn't deserve that either Macy."
Her words stung in my chest, for Pansy nearly almost always defended me with whatever quarrel happened to be occurring with Draco. Which meant that this time, she really meant what she was saying, and that stung in my chest a little more. I had been an idiot all day, I had stopped to his level and worse, maybe done something he never would have done. But his words still circled my head and the way he treated me like I was nothing and that pain and anger wasn't something I could feel escaping my head any time soon.

I pulled my jacket in a little tighter as Pansy, Blaise and Malfoy's cronies found a spot on a landing to watch slytherin vs Ravenclaw. It was frosty out today, and I had just about had it with Crabbe and Goyle being on my tail, only what I could assume was Draco's orders.
Feelings from yesterday had settled somewhat, but I hadn't seen Draco all morning. He seemed to have skipped breakfast, and was now probably in Slytherins tent hyping up for the game. Contrary to what Leyton had said, Draco was back on the team, on account that I wasn't allowed to play Quidditch anymore and Snape believed he was the best chance we had. I was in a flat mood and wanted nothing more than to lounge in the common room and bury my head in a book with the fire blanketing my body. But what kind of...whatever I was, would I be if I didn't support his extracurricular activities. Not to mention a sport I was in love with. My eyes scanned the crowd, noticing the heavy amount of Slytherin supporters waving flags and cheering in the stands. They had become more full lately since semi finals were around the corner.
"You have got to be joking." I groaned as my eyes narrowed in on the stands 2 away from us.
"What?! What!" Pansy darted her eyes back and forth.
"Over there." I pointed and Pansy followed my gaze to the bright blonde head, slightly covered by the large sign that she was holding up in the air.
"Is that Lola?" Pansy scoffed, and I nodded rolling my eyes at her 'Slytherins seeker is such a keeper.' Sign and retired my head back into my hands. My emotions were on overdrive and watching someone as annoyingly fun and gorgeous as Lola was driving me insane. I had heard her name 7 times at breakfast from various different mouths, all complimenting and maintaining that her return was the greatest thing to happen all year. I guess being kidnapped doesn't a yeAr and escaping doesn't get you in the popular books.
(SONG: BEGGIN - MANESKIN)
The game was at play before I realised, Pansy squealing next to me just for me to realise that Slytherin scored. My eyes searched the skies, spotting Draco hovering above everyone watching and waiting for the snitch to appear. It always kind of amazed me how many eyes were on you were you were up there playing, and how little you notice any given person at a time. Here I was staring up at that torturous boy and praying for him to snatch the snitch up, but I was just another face in the crowd. Dissolving into the stands full of green and just becoming another supporter. It was a real treat that the school had now installed a large charmed screen on the main stand so we could see better and ditch the omnioculars for good.
The crowds hurrahed as the quaffle sailed through Slytherins rings, our side sighing in disappointment. Ravenclaw had some amazing beaters, and I winced as I watched Draco narrowly miss a bludger heading his way as he dived from the top of the pitch.
"It's rough out there today." Blaise yelled over the crowd with a frown. "He seems on it though." He continued and I followed his gaze to where Draco was miles ahead of Ravenclaws seeker chasing after the snitch. I glanced over to Lola, the sign hanging over the edge of the stand as she cheered. Just when I thought I had gotten rid of one love sick Draco Malfoy heart eater, another one spawns in its place. This time with history.
I frowned as Ravenclaw scored again, the face of slytherin twisting in disgust. Ravenclaw didn't seem to be pulling their punches today, and id chalk that up to their long lasting hatred for our house for the torment we put them through.
"Our chasers are getting slammed." I mumbled to Pansy. "If Ravenclaw continue to score, Slytherin will resort to misconduct and we'll be fouled."
I could see the play ahead, the hot headed and determined house that would stoop to unsportsmanlike manner to win. Or disqualified before we could.
"We need the snitch." She said back, and we both scanned the crowd for Draco.
I pointed up in the air as I spotted him high in the depths of the sky, Ravenclaws seeker on his tail.
"He's going too high. The weather is too harsh up there." My hands gripped the railing as I leaned over to watch Draco dissapear into the angry clouds. I could feel my body hold its breath waiting for him to dive back down from the sky. I could be a raging bull, furious at him for our mishaps, but the lovesick girl inside me was anxious for him to get down safely. I had seen Harry knocked off his broom several times as he fell to what should have been death. He was lucky. I wouldn't call Draco Malfoy the most luck attracting person.
"Where is he?" Blaises voice became concerned as we watched Ravenclaws seeker descend in disappointment with no sign of Draco.
My knuckles went white with how hard I was gripping the railing and my throat became dry and irritated with all the deep breathes I was inhaling. Only to make it worse by the running commentary over the speakers.
"Now it's been a while since we have seen Slytherins seeker, Draco Malfoy and judging by Ravenclaws Calder Yernsti, it looked like rough terrain up there."
I hurried my face in my hands, too afraid to look up and find Draco falling to the depths of his demise. The Slytherin stands had gone awfully quiet which only let the chaos in my mind grow louder.
"It's okay M," Pansy breathed although she did not sound convincing at all with the way she was tapping her foot on the ground.
"It's almost been 10 minutes P, what seeker can stay in that atmosphere for that long without suffocating in that weather." I shot back, knowing I was being temperamental. I had never known what it had felt like to worry about some one to this extent, someone I was furious with, someone I really cared about.
She blinked at me with a nod and gripped my hand.
"And Ravenclaw scores another goal with an easy shot past Slytherins keeper." The commentary sounded.
I groaned internally as Slytherin became still in the stands, all heads tilted towards the sky, waiting for the worst. I was going to be sick. Worse. I was going to faint.
"Macy?" Blaise bent his head down. "Are you okay? You don't look too good?" He frowned, and I gripped the railing again looking towards the ground in hope I didn't catch the sight of Draco's lifeless body.
"What's that!" My head shot up at the sound of the speaker, our house letting out a gasp as the flap of a green uniform poked out from the clouds.
"Oh god." I let out and sunk my head.
"HE'S DONE IT FOLKS!" The speaker boomed in my ears as our house erupted. "DRACO MALFOY HAS CAUGHR GOLDEN SNITCH, SECURING 2nd PLACE FOR THE SEMI FINALS!"
I let out an audible gasp as relief filled my body, our stands running wild with screams as Draco descended from the sky, holding out the snitch in his fist with a cheer of victory. I grasped my chest pulling Pansy and Blaise into a hug. All over yesterday's emotions washed over me and locked themselves in bay as I began to cheer for Draco and our houses victory.
"Congratulations to Slytherin for making such a come back. Looks like Draco has earned his spot back on the team."
I could feel the smile grow on my face as he circled the crowd with the snitch plush in his hand. Last time I doubted his skills.
"He did it!" I let out to Pansy and she let out an unusual squeal. We watched on the big screen at the smile spread across Draco's face. The joy of victory.
"-and what's this, no team celebration, it seems Draco Malfoy has...other plans."
I jumped in my spot, as the ground beneath me shook, my mouth falling open at the sight of Draco dismounting his broom on the landing feet before me, the railing the only thing between us. I glanced around to my friends who has quickly stepped feet back, my face glowing red, as I watched myself blush on the big screen.
His heavy shoes stomped down the space between us as he crossed over to me with his messy hair and adrenaline filled body. My mouth became dry with all the words I couldn't get out.
"Shaws." He got out, between ragged breaths.
"Draco, what are you doing?" I said softly, my eyes wide with confusion.
He stepped closer, dropping his broom on the ground and crossing over to me.
"Now I know it's not the astronomy tower." He paused and glanced at the crowd that had fallen silent. "But I think this is better."
A smile grew on his face, and he reached forward wrapping a hand around my waist and pressed his lips to mine. The crowd erupted again as he laced a hand through my hair and pulled me closer. Through the shock and confusion I finally found some relief and it that moment my heart screamed with delight as I continued to kiss him.
"Looks like Malfoy has had more than one win today sharing a celebratory kiss with Macy Shaws folks!"
I pulled apart with a smile, his hands still resting on me as he reflected my expression.
"Now the whole school knows." He breathed and stepped back to pick up his broom. "You're all mine." He threw a wink at me, mounting his broom and zooming away leaving my heart in a puddle of euphoria.
