Gilmore chapter 5
Rory Gilmore was once again staring at her computer screen, it flashed the colors of an online baby store, the clock sitting next to her said 3am.
"I gotta get this done," she said rubbing her 7th month along stomach. "The clothes will arrive in a week or two,"
"Rory, what are you doing?" Lorelai asked, "it's 3 in the morning, you need to get some sleep."
"But I need to get stuff, what if she comes early?"
"You are going to get stuff at your baby shower,"
"I have to plan a baby shower?"
"No, I will, it's this weekend,"
This weekend
Rory was sitting in her room studying when Lorelai knocked on her door.
"Hey, kiddo, wanna get some ice cream?"
"No thanks"
"Ice cream is code for your party, put on something cute and pink."
They got to the party and Rory gasped at the sheer number of gifts, big and small.
Non alcoholic drinks were laid out, the tables were covered in pink table cloths.
"Gifts!" Cheered Lorelai she lead Rory over to a human sized box next to a throne of pink paint.
"This one first," said Kirk.
"Okay," she began to unwrap the box inside was "lane!"
"Hey Rory!"
"But what about your tour?"
"One of the gigs was canceled,"Lane explained. "So, we decided to surprise you,"
Lane was the best gift Rory could have gotten but she was thankful for true pounds of diapers, bottles, baby clothes and millions of other accessories. It was just like Stars Hollow to do something like this for her.
