It looked like him that had come down, but human! If that made sense. It didn't feel like anything made sense now.
They had the same skin tone, the same hair, the same eyes, the same freckles, roughly the same body shape, the same everything except for the outfit! The human him opted to wear a t-shirt and jeans instead of a suit and his hair didn't seem to be purposely styled like his, and his copies, and yet it was. Somehow... It was all so damn.. unnerving.
The human him, as he had deicded to refer to them for now, had their eye caught on the strange sight of two identical ventriloquist dummies at a pink plastic table quickly. And it was only after they were at the bottom of the stairs that they even bothered glancing at the rest of the room.
Though nothing else in the room manged to hold their attenton for long, shocker. So they came over to the table instead. They, at first, had kneeled down and just looked at both of the dummies inquisitively. But after a minute they picked up both Slappy and his identical counterpart, one in each hand, before standing back up to further inspect them.
Though, so far, this consisted of them just looking dumbly down at them baffled. Yet he didn't say anything. Slappy could guess his train of thought though, oh my god, these both look exactly like me, what the actual hell?!? Or likely something close to that.
But anyway, during the whole "stand and stare state" both Slappy's stayed limp, and at least one was in a state of confusion. Trying to study him back. At keast until someone else was coming down the stairs and the human Slappy lowered his arms to turn his head and see who was there.
Slappy couldn't read his facial expression at the moment, as his eyes were still facing forward, at the other Slappy, and he was dangling in his (the human Slappys) hand at about his hip. But he felt his surprise as the human version of him clutched him and, seemingly, his counterpart harder.
When he did so the human Slappy's hand went into dummy Slappy's back. He gave what was almost a yelp and he loosened his grip significantly but somehow he also still managed to hold onto the dummy Slappy. The footsteps on the stairs stopped dead at the sound.
But Human Slappy barely seemed to notice now, instead he set the unmoving puppet Slappy down on the table and lifted the seemingly only sentient one back up to face him. He turned him over in his, now, hands (plural) and saw his ventriloquist dummy back.
Then it seemed to click as he gave a sigh of relief. Faintly the Slappy currently having his back looked in, and the one not being particularly ecstatic about it, heard the human Slappy say,
"Thank god, I thought I broke it." The human version of him thought he was a stupid doll? He didn't even know he was a ventriloquist dummy?! Slappy felt insulted! How could anyone, especially someone who looks so much like him, mistake his magnificence as the look of a doll!?
"Broke it? ..Broke what?" A female voice asked tentatively from the direction of the stairs. Slappy didn't recognize the voice so he didn't acknowledge it much at first. But when Human Slappy turned to face the stairs he turned his whole body.
So now, since Slappy had been facing out when he was turned, he was also able to see. And he wasn't honestly sure if he was grateful or not. At the stairs was, for a lack of any better phrasing, a genderbend of the Human Slappy. They looked like identical twins! All except for the makeup and outfit. Are they twins..?
The guy sported generic causal clothing but the girl was dressed like she was about about to attend a ball in the 1800's, with her poofy dress and bright makeup. The makeup style wasn't old and they didn't heavily pile it on, even attempting to make it look natural, but the colors on the lipstick and blush were incredably vibrant and the eyebrows were pencil thin and pitch black.
It somehow managed to just look so old fashioned. The girl herself might be considered an antique in the wrong light. This was getting ridiculous! Slappy thought. What else was he to think? Other than maybe,What the hell is actually happening right now?!
And then, just when Slappy thought that she was the most outrageous thing he would have to face today she turns to the side a bit to reveal a ventriloquist dummy of her own, currently being carried on her hip like a toddler. And, instantly, Slappy could tell three things. One, that dummy was magic. Two, it was alive or "awake" currently. And three, the damned thing stole Jillian's beautiful face and made it into an ugly wooden male dummy.
The dummy looked like Jullian. Down to, well, everything! It stole her face, her skin color, her faces every beauty mark, her body's build, it was unsettling! And then it wrapped it all up in an ugly brown suit, it looked antiqued too. How, the hell.. Slappy was pissed. No, none of that "for lack of a batter phrasing" here. Slappy was fucking pissed. It was gone too far, all of this and now Jullian was brought into this and her image was fucking massaced. No, he didn't think so.
Oh, and also, something more to add. The other dummy, the ugly as fuck Jullian face stealer, knew Slappy was awake too. They could both feel the magic presence, and how strong it was, in each other. For the other Slappy that hasn't proven it's sentience yet though, the weaker magic presense managed to reach the other puppet, it just wasn't enough for the ugly dummy to immediately count the other Slappy as a threat. Meaning the ugly mug's whole, undivided attention, went to Slappy. Fucking wonderful.
So now, what was Slappy going to do? He was being held by this weird warped version of him that seemed to be human. And on the stairs was an offense to nature and another warped human looking version of Slappy. Seriously, how was it even possible to mess up my image so much anyway? And Jullians? No, I can't allow this. But what all could he do in that moment?
He assessed the other dummy, trying to figure out how much of a problem they would or could pose. Their magic power was strong, but it seemed to be overflowing and uncontrolled. It seemed possible that the one with he ugly mug didn't have refined magic control. This could be a good thing. But something still felt off. He kept probing for more. There had to be more.
Slappy almost jumped in surprise and to avoid doing so he had to go more limp instead. Relaxing his entire body instead of tensing it. Now he was facing the floor, how lovely. He had almost jumped because of what he had discovered. The other human him, the one in a dress, had a magic presense. And it was strong. Incredibly strong. And well trained.
When he tried to probe the surronding magic to get a better feel for what he was up against he was shot with a warning mark of magic from the girly one. That was how he knew. Only someone with great magic control would be able to hide their magic, especially with it being that strong, for so long and then selectively choose to hit someone with it. They targeted only him specifically, the precision in itself impressive, and before that he hadn't even been aware of their magic presense.
Slappy was only able to discover the magical presense when they allowed him to. She might pose a problem.. Slappy narrowed his eyes while he faced down and he fell into some deeper thought. What can he even do in this situation?
Meanwhile, the two humans were talking. The one holding Slappy was mostly ignoring him now that he was engaged in conversation and the one in a dress was both having conversation and watching over everything in the room like a hawk. Multitasking at it's finest..
