It's a brand new day on the Boiling Island, birds are singing, flowers are blooming, and a giant creature waving at you. But not all places on the island were this nice.

In the sky, a blue raven hover around the sky as it fly towards a small hill, around it was a thick forest where two lines of armies charged into one another. On one side were people wearing different kinds of fur clothing, some even have marks on their faces or masks made by the animal skull and some even have blue aura shape like animals spread around them. While the other army has more disciplined, wearing mostly white and red outline on their clothing, their helmets was a deer with horns on both sides, some have a big cloak covering half of their bodies.

Both sides were fighting ferociously like wild animals who haven't been needed for months. There were screams, weapons clashing, and spell casting, it was a bloodbath for both sides.

"Begone Emperor dogs, your kind aren't welcome here." said out loud a man wearing a wolf mask with his claws weapon stuck inside a soldier.

"Said a delusional savage." A deer horn soldier screamed as he aim his magic staff at the wolfman.

As the raven flies through the battle doing every attack from both sides until it takes to the sky once again as if it were there just to observe the battle. As it increases its height to the sky suddenly another group of fur clothing people appears out of the thick forest surrounding the other army.

"It' s a trap !?" Said a deer soldier in terror. As he said the circle of people began to get smaller by the minute until there was nothing left but deer soldiers' corpses on the ground. Afterward, we can hear the howls and cheers of the victors so loud that the forest leaves began to shake as a wind passed by.

Now the raven flies toward a forest where a small wood house that is shaped like a coffee shop you see in every corner. On top of it was a sign that said "Here to heal your soul".

As the raven began to descend from the sky toward a teenager who standing at the front door of the shop while raising his arm as a landing pad for the raven. The birds land and began to whisper words into the teen's ear.

The teen has dust brown hair, a one-sided cut, and behind his hair was a ponytail with many knots. His eyes were black and his skin tone is a little tan. On him is a long shirt cover to his knees, and for pants is a pair of what seems to be jeans.

Teen: "Everything is according to plan, they fell for it once again. Those dogs never learned don't they." Smirking as the teen said.

I'm Ingram Wulffar, shaman, a Nightgale Scout for the Northern Tribal Unity. My job was simple spying on the enemies, gathering info about them, and giving it back to elders. And for the past 4 years, I have flawed many attempts of the emperor army's whose trying to bring orders to the land. To the Northern, it means the end of our culture and traditions that have been preserved for generations. So if we don't fight then there won't be a tomorrow for us, For the motherland.

Those were the words Ingram still care for 2 years ago but now he just wondering when will the witches would surrender and accept Northern as a civil and respectful kingdom. While this was going on in his head something popped into his mind, as he looked around everything was pitch black then a blue mist appeared behind him the teen turn his head around to see a tall adult who seems to be in his 60's wearing a bear mask with red markings on it, his clothing was heavy with fur surrounding it, this makes him look a bear towering over the boy.

As Ingram turned around he greeted him with his arms crossed behind him:" Chieftain Bloodclaws, it is honorary to meet you, what is it that you need."

Blood claws: "Clam down young one. First I here to congratulate you on another successful job without your clans we won't be this successful against our enemies."

Ingram:" You too kind sir. Just doing my jobs." Smile.

Blood claws:" Moreover your success at this age has drawn many to question about us using children for warfare whether it is good or not." He said in a disappointed tone.

Ingram:" What do you mean sir. The spirits have been guiding us for years and they haven't been wrong."

Blood claws:" Even though I have the same thought as you do right now. However, the elders and the spirits of the land have concluded." He started to pull out a paper note and put his glasses on and begin his speech: "By the will spirits of the land and the wisdom of the elders, we are now to inform you all that any person who hasn't reached 17 Winters yet, can't join in this war until then they will be a return to their respective clan for further training and those stay in the Boiling Island please wait for further notice, this is for the safety for the next generation."

Ingram:" Ok,...look... one I have passed all my trials with flying colors, two why there some rules like that pop out from nowhere and finally waiting for further instructions... how long was that going to get here... until I was captured by the enemy's?." Said in a furious tone

Blood claws:" I did have the same reaction as you have right now but we can't afford more families lost for our cause. Do you want them to grow up in war forever, Ingram? It's time for a change we can't keep fighting like this. There won't be a future for our kind if we keep doing this. ... We are offering them a peace treaty, I hope you understand. ... Also we will try to find a way to get you back as soon ... Your mentor would be wanted this to happen..."

Ingram:" Enough. I had enough we were on the verge of victory and all of the sudden a ceasefire!" Said loudly.

Ingram:" After all those losses and sacrifices we just gonna... Give up? Does Farseer Syrus want this? You lying!" He then closes his eyes hastily and when he opens them again he sees his shop. Inside him now is a mess of conflict and questions about his accomplishments were all for nothing he thought to himself. He then returns to the house and does what he knows is the best cleaning.

Ingram while cleaning his house angrily, he begins to throw 3 of his rune stones from his pocket to the ground. As he looked at it his face started to frowner every second.

Ingram: " How odd, the spirit tells me there will be troubled coming to me which involved with a HUMAN."

Ingram: " Human, that is ridiculous they have never been heard again after who knows how long right teacher?" Looking at a picture of a man wearing fur clothing and on his face was a goat's skull mask except his mask has two bigger horns on the bar counter.

After the talk, came a silent pause of sadness. " Why did you leave me like this mentor? Where do I go from here? Answer me !?" Ingram thinks to himself and quenching his fist.

As far as Ingram remembers, it has been 2 years since his teacher, Syrus, the farseer, has disappeared from his life. Not a word, not even a goodbye was given to him. He had tried to search for his mentor on this island every day but with no luck.

Ingram sighed in sadness as a tear begin to drop from his eye.

The shaman out of frustration changes his clothing into his travel clothing and started to go for a walk to clear his head from all of these negative emotions.

Little does he know far away two figures were walking towards his house one short and one looking like a teenager.

While Ingram was away, two figures, one looked at a dog with black fur, on top of his head was a small skull covering most of its head his name was King. The other one was a human female named Lux carrying a pouch of potions on her back.

Luz:" So we just have to deliver this one and we get home right, King?" She asked.

King:" If it is written on the paper then you have to deliver it, Luz."

They walk forward until they reach their destination. In front was a small house with 2 floors the ground floor was much like a coffee shop in the human world, the second floor is much smaller and there was a sign on top of it "Here to heal your soul"

Luz's eyes widened as she saw something like this would appear in this magical world.

Luz:" Uhm King, do you guys happen to have a literary coffee shop in the middle of the forest like this?".

King:" Nah we call this place a potion house, they usually sell all kinds of weird potions."

Luz:" Why does Eda want to sell her potion to ... Well ... another potion maker. Isn't that strange?"

King:" Here they give us the Blood apple juice that Eda drinks every day. Oh, they also sell much sweet stuff here too." His eyes started to shine and drop of saliva on his mouth as he imagined the taste of the sweet.

Luz:" Even though I don't know anything about this place but I can see ...Ooh I wondered what they have cookies and apple pie." She then runs straight to the shop.

"Hey, no fair!" King shout and run to Luz.

When they both arrive at the door, Luz knocks on the door once, no answer, she knocks again but this time the door creeks open slowly.

Luz:" I guess they want us to come in right?". She looks at King and carefully walks in.

Without hesitation, King rushed in like a puppy who wanted to explore a new home and he sniffed everything inside the house looking for a sweet treat. On the other hand, Luz was very interested in the decoration there was 5 set of 4 people table near the window on the right. To the left was a bar counter behind it was a shelf with many strange magic items she had never seen before some look like a skull of a dead animal some look a cup but around it was engraved with a language she never read or even heard off.

King: "Hey Luz dip on these cookies I found. Nom."

King raised his hand to show her what seem to be gray sweet with blue enchanted engraved on it, there were 3 of them. When his teeth connect, the cookies cracks, and a strange blue light appears zapping the poor thing which makes him jump up a bit and release the gray cookies. However, the madness doesn't end as the cookies fall they unleashed a huge amount of blue lighting striking everything around them.

Luz:" King!" She then ducks under a nearby table. "Mamá." As she screams out for help.

Meanwhile, the owner is still wandering in the forest and angrily punching trees.

Walking around in the forest Ingram began to hit trees along his way out of frustration.

" Why did they allow this to happen unless..." Think to himself. Then he pulls out a stone with a raven symbol on it from the bag on his waist.

Ingram: "Spirits of the raven come!" A blue raven appears next to his shoulder.

Ingram:" Do you know about this, oh great raven?" He asked the raven next to him, in response the bird just shake his head.

The shaman let out a big sigh in disappointment:" I guess not all spirits get to sit in the elder's Circle huh?".

Then the raven whisper more words into the shaman's ear which made his eyes widen

Ingram:" Oh no the delivery! Right, I should be heading back now. Raven return." After that Ingram rush back to his home.

A few seconds later

Ingram came out of the forest and to his surprise, his house's front door was wide open. Not only that there is a light show happening inside it too and it was blue mainly.

Ingram:" Holy Mother of Ravens. Give me a break, I just finished cleaning it up today." Said out loud.

He then rushes in trying to stop the disaster in his home. While running he pulls out a small stone in his bag on his waist:" Spirit of the WildClaw aid me!" As he said a blue mist, shaped like a saber tooth tiger but much bigger and had thicker fur, surrounded him and infused him with the power which increases his agility to an incredible amount.

He passes through the door, jumps over the bar counter, and grabs two bowls at once. After that, he dashes towards where the power was unleashed, by using the bowls he captured the crack stones and runs outside to throw them far away.

Ingram:" Yeeet!" Then the stone explodes mid-air making quite astonishing fireworks.

"WildClaw return!". Ingram turns around and pulls out a knife from his other waist while he was searching for the trouble marker who cause this mess.

Meanwhile, Luz was poking her head out wondering if the storm has pass by. However, when she stood up she was pinned down on the neck by a teenager who was somewhat of her age the personal expression was full of anger and in the person's hand was a knife sticking near her neck.

Ingram: "Ok what did you do? Who sent you and why? You have 30 seconds to talk or this is bye-bye!".

Luz's mind was filled with fearful emotions she don't know what to do, and tears were coming out of her eyes. Her mind was blank, words can't come through her mouth as she struggles to find ways to explain what happened. She wanted to be a witch but a dead person she haven't thought about it.

As she thought this is it. King returns to his senses:" Ouch my head feels like..." He then turn around to find Luz but found her in danger threatened by someone who holding her hostage. "Luz!" He screams.

King rushes over and punches the person's huge leg for his size but does no harm. Feeling not threatened the knife-holding person slowly forces his knife into Luz's neck. At the last second before the knife connect, Luz using the last bit of her strength shouted:" Eda sent me to deliver some potions that it!"

Ingram:" Wait you mean Eda the Owl Lady?" Pull his knife back

Luz:" Yes..." Said sheepishly

Ingram frees her from the situation and looks under his feet where King is still trying to punch the shaman's legs. Ingram picks Kings up and takes a closer look.

Ingram:" Ah I remember you. You are that hungry demon who always eats my mentor cookies. Who is a good boy?! Yes, you are." Ingram said while petting King.

King:" Help me Luz this guy making me feel weird!"

Meanwhile, Luz regain her breath after the near-death experience, and on her neck was an Ingram hand mark. The shaman turns to find the Intruder, dropping King down, and walking towards her.

Ingram: "I am sorry for what I did back there. I thought you were some Thief trying to rob my house." He then pull out another stone and put it near her neck this Luz freaked out a little bit.

Luz: "Ek..."

Ingram:" Calm down I'm not gonna hurt you." He closes his eye and begins his spell:" Spirits of the Boar heal her." Just like that, a green light emits from the stone making the girl feel a little better as time goes by. When the wound and the marks are gone the shaman put his stone away.

Luz:" Wow… That was amazing where did you learn that, you gotta teach me !" She moves her face closer to Ingram with excitement in her eyes.

Ingram notice her ear was much rounder than anyone else on this Island and he became curious.

Ingram:" Your ears look so circular,.. different. Are you a human?"

Luz:" Yes. I'm Luz Noceda, the only human on this Boiling Island. Ta-Da." Spreading her hand out as if something was expected to appear.

Ingram:" A Human? I haven't heard from your kind after many years." "How did you get to here anyway?".

Luz:" It's a long story...". She said checking her neck.

Ingram:" A story you said. Wait here just a moment I promise won't belong." Finish the sentence the shaman rush to the bar counter and start to make something.

King stand back up and was trying to climb on Luz's head and said:" Should we get out of here Luz? This guy is a mad man, do you see how he was with that knife."

Luz:" I know but he has magic too but different I felt somewhat warm around my neck when he you his magic, unlike that wizard we met before. Plus we haven't delivered our potion to him yet."

"The potion!". Luz looks onto the ground looking for her pouch but only to see it got turned into black ashes. "Oh no Eda gonna be mad." She groaned.

King:" Well all went into the drain I guess."

Then something smell familiar came to her nose it was the smell of bitter "coffee" coming out from the counter. Ingram came out with two hot steamy cups, follow by another cup floating in the air this one doesn't have steam coming out of it, he put all of them on the table where Luz was and he sit on the opposite side of Luz.

Luz:" Is that what I think it is?".

Ingram:" I don't know what you are thinking but whatever you humans have it isn't the same thing."

Luz: "Oh..."

Ingram:" Don't worry if I can drink it then I guess you can too. I hope." Biting his lip.

Luz sits down in front of Ingram, picking up the drink she can smell something like coffee that her mom has every morning before going to work. However when she takes the first sip it tastes oddly strange, it has a little kick of bitterness but overall has some sweet taste to it.

Luz:" Wow this is less strong than the one in my world. What do you call this."

Ingram:" Dark beans. Mostly found in the wild but I have a farm at the back of my house to reproduce them."

Luz: "Dark beans that a funny thing to call coffee beans in our world. But do you have something to reduce this bitter taste I can't get used to this?"

Ingram:" Really? You should try adding goat milk to it, taste much better here let me help you." He then twirled his finger making the not steamy cup pour into Luz's cup. After pouring, he put his hand down and the cup steadily return to its original position.

Luz tastes the drink again, this time it feels like she was eating a cake mixed with the sense of lightness of cotton candy but the taste of bitterness has gone in the drink entirely.

Luz:" THIS IS AMAZING! How did you make a taste like that." She showed the cup to Ingram.

King:" Give it to me now mortals your King demand it." He then grabs Luz's cup and quickly chucks it all down.

Ingram:" Thanks for the comment. My mentor never likes what I make he usually just takes one sip and throws it away if he doesn't like it." He sigh.

Luz's eyes widened after hearing that:" What!? This is like a masterpiece, your teaching taste has to be a malfunction or something."

Ingram:" Yeah probably... Anyway, let's talk about you first how did you get here." He points to her.

Luz:" Oh about that."

Some explanation later

Ingram:" Wow that's quite a first day you got there." Finished his drink.

Luz:" Yeah and I thought to myself was all this got to be a dream but here I am now." She sigh.

Then Luz looks outside and remembers her mission for today. She then stands up and said:" Uhm look I'm very sorry but I accidentally destroy your potion maybe could you..."

Ingram:" Not to worry I will come to Owl Lady's house later for that potion. It is just some ingredients to make blood apple juice. You free to go before that Eda came looking for you."

The human suddenly feels like all her weight was gone and then she turns around and walks out with King on her back. Then her poster she got before she got here fall out of her pocket. The shaman walks and picks it up, he looks at it a little bit.

Ingram:" Hey human you drop something!" He said out loud.

Luz turns around:" Oops sorry my bad and thank you."

Ingram:" You believe in this stuff?" His face showed a confused face because all his time on this island no one had ever heard of "Celestial Lake".

Luz: "Err. Yeah, a wizard gave me this." Said proudly.

Ingram burst out a laugh as he had never laughed before. Luz stands there in confusion about what is so funny she said recently. After calming down, Ingram his laughing tears off his eyes and speak.

Ingram:" Hate to break it to you but that is the funniest thing I ever heard for a long time. A wizard? Anyone who claims to be a wizard is just a scammer."

Luz:" What?" Said confusingly

Ingram explains to Luz that there are only two types of magic users on this Boiling Island the witches who take most of the port and the shaman of the Everlasting Winter Land of the North who take up most of the land. They once stood united but due to differences in point of view, they became distant and become enemies.

Ingram:" So that's why we don't have such a thing called wizard, human. I can see why humankind just disappeared for believing in a wizard like this. Oh, look at me I'm the chosen one, I'm so important because a wizard send me on a quest." He laughs.

Luz couldn't stand or even believe what Ingram just said and immediately take the poster in the shaman's hand quickly and run off into the distance with King on her back.

Ingram couldn't believe what just happened. Before he could react the raven stone in his bag started emitting blue light. Afterward, the blue raven appears in front of the shaman it then whispers words into his ear once again.

Ingram:" What I just tell her the truth."

The birds change their whisper tone into a more dissatisfied with what Ingram did.

Ingram:" I just have a bad day can I have a little laugh... What do you mean that is not an excuse… Fine I will go and said sorry to her later."

The raven then starts to peck on Ingram's head repeatedly. Every peck is like a bullet punching through his head and its pain is increasing with every hit. With no other way around this pain, Ingram chased after the human female but not before locking his house door behind him.

Ingram:" I swear your spirits are the worst. Ouch, stop it."

After a moment of an intense bird pecking later.

Ingram found himself in front of the Owl Lady's house and it was afternoon.

Ingram:" You can stop now you crazy bird. I know what I did wasn't the best thing to do but I will fix it." The raven returns to its stone not pecking the shaman anymore.

The shaman knock on Eda's front door, to his surprise a serif bird creature came out and said:" Hello there stranger, do I know you."

Ingram:" Knock it off Hooty we know each other. I came here and stuff those blood apple juice in your mouth for the last 2 years." He sighed "Is Eda home?". He added.

Then suddenly Eda appears at the second-floor window of her house and asks Hooty where the human girl was. Hooty then points out that the girl was running towards Bonesrorough city. Without any hesitation, Ingram brings out his raven stone: "Spirits of the Raven, guide me" as done summoning his clothe appears to have more feature like more black feather which makes him look like a crow from the outside. Then he began to fly up to the sky rushing to look for the human and Eda was not far behind.

Eda and Ingram have been searching for clues whereabouts Luz was. The more they searched they realize that they are facing a puppeteer demon who can manipulate its tentacles to become anything they desire and lure their prey into a death trap.

Arrive in front of a foggy forest both Eda and Ingram stop to discuss a plan but to Eda fashion planning is dumb so she rushes forward to look for the human. While Ingram flies above the tree to have a better view.

After a few searches later Ingram spotted Luz was being tied by the monster with magic, even the demon revealed its true self. It arrogantly laugh as if it was winning but not for long. Ingram landed on a nearby tree branch, and pull out one of his feathers on his clothing as a weapon.

Ingram:" Alright, this is bye-bye you demon scum." He smirks.

All the sudden Eda was revealed to be captured and she has blocked the view of Y/n good shot on the demon

Ingram:" Eda, I told you already why didn't you plan." He sighed.

Ingram pulls out two knives one long, one short, and jumps down from the branch preparing for a backstab. As he lurked around he noticed the human has snapped out of demon illusion gas and began to destroy some of the tentacle puppets. He throws his short knife to where Eda was captured to release her from her captive. With Eda being free, she and Luz begin to rampage all the rest of the puppets.

The demon sensing its defeat pulls out its final trick using King as a meat shield, like a coward, this forcing both of them to put down their weapons to the ground. However their back was exposed, and without taking any chances Ingram run as fast as he can and stab the demon in the back. The demon screams in pain as its body begin to shrink down by the second until it ends up becoming a small octopus as if it was someone's pet.

Eda walks toward and picks the cute demon and swallows its hold. This makes Ingram shake a little bit.

Ingram:" You eat that alive. You witches are weird." He looks at Eda disgustingly.

Eda:" So what you want some apple boy?". She smirks.

Ingram: "No thanks. I'm good."

Ingram looks at Luz who is now very sad and confused about what just happened to her as if her entire world was broken down completely in one day. This made Ingram feel he was the one that triggers the entire event and it was what he thinks to himself.

Ingram:" Human."

Luz:" Yes you were right about everything, I should have listened to you back then. What was I thinking, just because I am a HUMAN that doesn't mean I'm special." She sighed.

Ingram:" Human stop this isn't your fault. This one is mine, to begin with." He looks down

Luz:" What do you mean by that I was the one that get you guys into this mess if I wasn't that..." Before she could finish her sentence, Ingram put his hand up in front of her telling her to stop.

Ingram:" I know you wanted to do all this just to prove me wrong. Ok!? I don't know what came over me, make me spoke those hurtful words to you. I never wanted to hurt anyone but living with myself for the past 2 years has changed me a lot. Instead of being caring, I act like a Jerk. I'm sorry."

Before Luz could open her mouth to say anything, Eda speak up

Eda:" Ok you two we don't have time for you to keep feeling sorry for what you did. Look on the bright side you both accept each other own responsibilities for your action and that all matters." Puts her hand on both teenagers' shoulders.

Ingram: "Hey Eda about your daily blood apple..."

Eda:" Yeah?" Raise her eyebrows

Ingram:" I broke the potion you sent me today could you send me another one."

Eda:" Sure kid, but first let's turn this sad face upside down shall we?" Turn to Luz while smiling at her.

Ingram:" Ok then I'm off to my house." Walking away from Eda and Luz.

Eda:" You not coming?"

Ingram:" Nah I have a house to clean. Farewell Human and Owl Lady my house needed me." As he said he spread his wings and take to the sky to fly back to his home.

At evening

When the sun has gone down under the sea, Ingram Wulffar still working his best to clean up all the mess that was caused in the afternoon. As he was working someone knocked at the door, he went to check out to his surprise it was Luz holding a small red potion in front of her.

Luz:" Hi... So Eda sent me to give you this potion, she really can't live without it."

Ingram looks at her and then behind her to see how did she get to here as a human. As predicted Eda was standing far behind Luz waving at them.

Ingram:" Right. Appreciating." Take the red potion.

Luz:" Are you still thinking about that."

Ingram:" Look human whatever in the past stay in the past. It's better to move on instead of trying to repeat the past it's very boring if you keep bringing that up."

Luz:" So are we friends now."

Ingram:" Not quite I'm still mad at you for breaking into my house, breaking 3 of my magic stone. I could sue you for that but I won't since you are a potential customer."

Luz:" What do you mean by that."

Ingram:" Well after my teacher's disappearance, this place has a lot of dead air to it. By the way, I need to pay for the land and it ain't cheap. So come on by if you have the time." He rolled his eyes

Luz:" For real. Ohhh. Thank you so much I always wanted to taste that drink again it's so amazing." She grabs his hand and shakes rapidly.

Ingram:" Your welcome now get out here before the night got colder you might get sick." Said annoyingly.

Luz turns around to return to Eda who still waiting there for her. But before that, she turns around and asks.

Luz:" Oh I almost forgot what your name was, I didn't ask you back then."

Ingram thinks a little bit then responds: " Ingram Wulffar ", this is just a lie since he knows he is a scout fighting against his enemies revealing his real would be disastrous but since she is with Eda he has a feeling he can trust her enough to tell his true name.

Luz:" Noted. Goodbye, see you around." Wave her hand to Ingram.

Ingram stands and waves back at them until they leave. He went back in and thought to himself: " I guess the spirits were right about that." He then turns to his teacher's picture.

Ingram:" I should move on to huh?!."
