Amnesia

Cyborg, Superman, Captain Marvel, Rocket, Fire, Ice and Zatanna were in space helping Thanagar with a Apokoliptian invasion. Two weeks in space fighting pretty much back-to-back against many parademons and other Darkseid's pawn. But a week ago they got a transmission from Batman. Nightwing got heavily injured while fighting Deathstroke, Lady Vic and KGBeast; he will recover from his injuries, but he got amnesia from various hits in the head. Zatanna wanted to go back to her lover as soon as she heard the news, but she couldn't leave Thanagar, the League was trying to build more alliances and was running out of members to sent to missions. After being calm down by the women with her, knowing that his life wasn't a risk, she calmed herself and gave her everything to be back with him as soon as possible, once the fight was over, she demanded transportation to earth.

"Cyborg! I need a boom tube, NOW!" -Zatanna asked, no, demanded to her co-leaguer. Vic did as he was told and before she leaves, everyone gave her their best wishes.

Vic didn't care much about their rule about no boom tubing inside of an hospital, this was an emergency, and he knew that if he didn't put her as close as possible of him, he will be the one in the hospital. Zatanna was running inside the hospital until she spotted Leslie and talk with her.

"Zatanna. It's nice to see you."

"How is it? How is Dick?" -Normally she would ask her how she's doing and everything but right now she didn't have time for that.

"He's out of danger. A few broken bones, the usual with this family…but sadly he got hit in the head and when he woke up, he didn't remember anything or anyone besides, who he was…he even didn't recognize Bruce or Alfred…" -Zatanna was feeling the tear forming in her eyes. "You can see him, but I must warn you that he might not know who you are." -The magician sadly nodded and open the door slowly. And there he was, a few bandages in the head and around his body. The nurse was checking his vitals when he turned to see who entered his room. Zee froze for a moment "Will he recognized me?" As soon as their eyes meet, Dick's heart skipped several beats freaking out the nurse.

"Mr. Grayson. Are you alright?" -Richard got back to earth and inhaled deeply, yes, I am. The raven haired wanted to run to his arm and kiss him but she didn't want to hurt him or herself…

"Dick, how are you?" -Zee spoke as she got closer to him, once she got in range, she holds his hand. A deep blush appears on the man's face.

"G-g-great. I mean as g-g-good as someone could be." -Zee let a tender smile grace her face, he was acting like when they first meet but frowned realizing the awkward attitude from her boyfriend.

"Do you…do you remember me?" -She couldn't help herself from asking the question.

"Sorry, I don't." -Dick didn't knew why but as soon as the most beautiful woman he has ever seen touch his hand and hear her voice, he automatically started to feel better. Tears fell from the magician eyes. "He doesn't know me". But her thoughts were stopped when he wiped her tear from her cheek and a tender smile. "I don't remember you and I don't know why but with you here I feel a lot better, starting to feel the aster, if that makes sense." -Upon realizing what he just said he became crimson red, he didn't know who she was, for all he know she was just his friend, nothing more. In the other hand Zatanna was beaming, he might not know her, but they still have a connection.

"Dick. You may go to your home now. All your result came back clean, and you are free to go." -Leslie loved to see both together and even if he didn't remember her, Leslie could tell that the boy was madly in love with her. He fell for her again at first sight.

"Thank you, Doctor. No offense but I could use my bed and the comfiness of my home."

"Being in your home make help you with your memory loss, the more you start doing your routine the faster you might get your memory back, but I must warn you that you might not remember at all." -Zatanna was happy to get back at home with Dick but the thought of him no remembering her and everything they went through was killing her. "What if he doesn't fall in love with me again."

"Don't worry doc. I'm sure that I will get back in track. But one question…Where do I live?"

"Don't worry. Mr. Wayne sent you a car to take you home, it's waiting for you, and he told me that he would visit you tomorrow after you get some rest in your flat."

Dick and Zatanna went to the limo that was waiting for them to take them home. Richard now wasn't sure why this Zatanna girl was going to his place. "She must be making sure that I'm ok." -He wasn't complaining, he wanted to spend as much time as possible with this amazing girl.

"Sir, Miss Zatanna, we have arrived" -The chauffeur told them but upon hearing the name Zatara, a distant memory got triggered.

"Zatanna, this is the team. The team, my daughter, Zatanna" - The season magician introduced the most beautiful raven-haired girl with most amazing eyes he has ever seen.

Dick raises his hand to his head; the memory came with a headache. "Dick, are you alright?" -The woman put her hand in his cheek as he asked in concern.

"I'm fine Zee, don't worry." -Zatanna grasped in surprise upon hearing her pet-name that he gave her.

"What did you call me?"

"Huh?"

"Just now, what do you call me?"

"I call you Zee. Why? Don't you like it?" -He got red with embarrassment, he wanted to give her a nickname, maybe he overstepped.

"No, it's not that. I love it, that's how you usually call me." -Sadness and melancholy in her voice. They decide to enter the building. Once they reached their apartment Dick looked confused at Zatanna.

"I don't have any keys with me." -Great Grayson, how are you supposed to get in?

"Don't worry I have my key." -Z opened the door and both settling in.

"Sorry that I'm asking you this but why do you have a key?" -Zatanna got flustered and bite her lower lip. This action didn't past unnoticed, Nightwing found that expression so adorable and cute.

"Because we live together." -Dick jaw dropped to the floor. The tension grew between them.

"Let's get a shower. I haven't had the chance to clean up after my mission and I bet you'd like a shower as well." -Zatanna commented, usually they will shower together but now wasn't the time for that. After the shower Zee was lightly in clothes, she was always hot and usually was just in her underwear while in their apartment but since he wasn't her boyfriend just yet, she opted to put on one of his shirts. Dick was already in shorts and white tank in the living room, once Zee approached him, he left him speechless seeing her like that.

"How are you feeling?" -Zatanna was happy at least she still has that effect on him…if only he could remember her.

"Mmm…huh? Better, the shower really helped me a lot. What about ya?" -He was trying to ignore how sexy and beautiful she looked.

"Same. I'm feeling a lot better." -She bites her lower lip. She looks at him deeply in his eyes, she could tell that he was but turned on by her and that he has something in his mind. "Something wrong?"

He stands up from the couch and came closer to her. "Look, heh, I'm trying to be all nonchalant here." -He was getting more nervous as each word left his mouth.

"Why? Be as chalant as you like." -Zatanna gave him her best smile, those words after all this year came back to her. Meanwhile, Dick after hearing those words, as if chalant was his trigger word, everything related to her, and their relationship came back to her.

Dick got closer to her and cupped her face with his hands and kissed her tenderly. "I miss you so much, Zee" -The sorceress let a few tears drop, smile and throw herself to him a gave him a heated kiss, after a few moments they broke off by the lack of air.

"You're an asshole. You know that, right? Don't you dare to scare like that again."

"I'll try but this just proves my point…no matter what, I will always come back to you and fall in love with you every time." -Dick remembered something else. "Wait a sec. I just remembered something else." -He run to their room and look for something, he returned to her rather quickly.

"Zee, I got this for you the day you left for you mission with League." -He opens the box to show her a diamond ring with a "Z" shape. "I wanted…" -Dick couldn't finish his words as she throws herself to him and both fell on the floor.
