This is a fan base parody. I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V or anything related to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Series.
Hello, I've been reading a lot of stories on this website with my favorite ones coming from the ARC-V series. My favorite ones have been Bonds of the Pendulum by Frost190, Pendulum of Connections by Imagine97, and Altered Destiny by B-baller125. Those stories are incredible and it inspired me to make an ARC-V fanfiction myself.
This is gonna be a remake of the ARC-V series and it will be divided into five parts. If you want to spoil yourself and see what the other parts are about, check out my DeviantArt profile under mpena24.
Before reading the story though, let me point some things out.
I will be using the Japanese names of both the characters and the cards. They will follow the anime effects and I will include some original cards. But I won't make a list of them as that takes too much time away from the story.
The story is mainly about Yuya and will focus mostly on Yuya. He will be more involved in the story in the beginning instead of being left out until halfway like in the anime.
If you're a Reiji, Shun or even a Sawatari fan, I'm sorry, they won't be getting much writing time. They will be part of the story, but they won't have much impact as this is mostly a Yuya-centric story.
There will be more legacy characters coming into this story, but I won't reveal who they are until part 2.
Finally, I don't have a set schedule. I will release the chapters when I feel that it is ready.
This is my first fanfiction so I understand that there are gonna be haters and critics. But if you do like this story, then thank you.

Chapter 1: The Birth of Pendulum
Maiami City
Maiami City, home to the birth of Action Duels. A new way of Dueling that allows both the Duelists and their monsters to fight side by side. It was created by the Leo Corporation, who also owns the Leo Duel School, or LDS for short. They were home to the best Duelists and have the highest percentage of title championships under their belt.
But our story doesn't take place there. It takes place right in a small, residential school by the canal named You Show Duel School. Right now, it was calm and peaceful and people were casually walking by it…
*Explosion*
Well, it was calm.
You Show Duel School – Control Room
Sparks and smoke were coming out of the control console for the Real Solid Vision machine and Yuzu Hiiragi was panicking.
"What are you doing, Yuzu?!" Shuzo Hiiragi, Yuzu's father burst into the control room, looking confused.
"I didn't do anything! Honestly!" Yuzu insisted.
"If this breaks, I can't teach with passion! The Solid Vision will vanish!" Shuzo panicked.
The door to the control room flew open and Yuya ran inside. "Come on." Yuya took Yuzu's hand, making her blush a bit. They ran out and closed the door.
"H-Hey, wait for me!" Shuzo ran to the door but he couldn't open it. "Why won't it open! Hey, someone! Open the door!" Shuzo banged on the door as the controls continue to go haywire. "It's gonna blow!" Shuzo screamed like a girl and the machine exploded filling the room with smoke.
A fair distance away Yuya and Yuzu crouched while covering their ears as they felt the explosion shake the ground. When the shaking ended, they turned around and went back to the control room where the door opened to reveal Shuzo, covered in soot and ash and his hair was like an afro.
Shuzo coughed. "Pull…not push…" Shuzo fell forward and passed out.
You Show Duel School – Commons Area
"I can't teach with passion!" Shuzo cried loudly. His hair was back to normal and most of the ash and soot were gone.
"The Solid Vision System broke and we had to cancel for the student who wanted to apply to our school. At this rate, You Show School will go bankrupt!" Shuzo panicked.
"I told you before that we would have to get a new system, but you insisted on using the school money for team uniforms." Yuya crossed his arms.
"Which no one is gonna wear." Yuzu cringed as the uniforms were just smaller versions of Shuzo's tracksuit. Shuzo felt an arrow hit him in the heart.
Yuya sighed. "I guess there's no other way." Yuya reached into his pocket and pulled out a calling card. "I'll call and accept…"
"No, Yuya! You don't have to do that!" Yuzu said.
"She's right, Yuya." Gongenzaka approached the two. "You don't have to do this for the school. You don't have to burden yourself more than you have to."
Gongenzaka looked at the picture of Yusho Sakaki. "I, the man Gongenzaka, know how much responsibility you've taken when your father disappeared. You took it upon yourself to pay off the contracts while quitting Dueling to work for You Show's expenses."
It was true. When Yusho disappeared from his Championship Match against Strong Ishijima, he had broken the terms of his contract, creating many outstanding debts that were pushed onto his family.
Even though Yuya's mom, Yoko, tried to be strong, she was grieving the disappearance of her husband, so Yuya decided to take matters into his own hands. He got a job at a card shop and studied really hard in school, drastically improving in math and science which he was mediocre in.
But as a cost, Yuya rarely attended You Show anymore, which affected his Dueling. Due to taking care of the debt, as well as doing well in school, and keeping up with his job, there just wasn't time for Duel Monsters anymore.
But then a few days ago, Nico Smiley, Strong Ishijima's manager/promoter approached Yuya and asked for him to Duel Ishijima at his fan appreciation day. In exchange, Leo Corporation would donate the latest Real Solid Vision System to You Show, free of charge.
"I know this is a publicity stunt and I'll be humiliated. But if ignore this, I'll just be proving Strong Ishijima right." Yuya stood up. "I'd rather be a loser than a coward like my old man." Yuya walked out of the commons area.
"Yuya…" Yuzu put her hand on her heart. She was very concerned about Yuya. He rarely smiles anymore and doesn't spend much time with her and Gongenzaka. Sure, he had responsibilities, but she wished he didn't have to take it all by himself.
Yuya's Bedroom
Yuya looked through his cards, trying his best to balance them out. "This isn't just a regular opponent. This guy is a pro." He saw one card and picked it up.
It was the very first card he ever had. In fact, he had it the day he was born, Odd-Eyes Dragon. Yuya didn't know why, but he felt a special connection to this card. He wouldn't trade it for anything.
"I'm sorry I locked you away. I can understand if you don't want to fight by my side." Yuya apologized. "But…maybe…if you'll give me a chance, I promise to do better."
"Heh, here I am, talking to a card." Yuya chuckled at himself. "Guess this is my way of coping."
He looked at the clock on his desk and noticed that it was getting late. "Rest up guys." Yuya placed his finished deck on his desk and went to bed.
Little did he know that the Odd-Eyes card glowed for a bit.
The Next Day - LDS Center Court
Yuzu, Gongenzaka and Shuzo ran into the stadium, where the audience was cheering for the upcoming event.
"It's finally time for today's main event!" Nico announced. "Strong Ishijima's challenger is the legendary dueling star Yusho Sakaki's son, Yuya Sakaki!" Screens showed the matchup between Strong and Yuya.
"Yuya…" Yuzu uttered.
"He's really gonna do it." Gongenzaka still has doubts about this Duel, but he must respect his friend's wishes.
"Hooray! I'll get the Solid Vis—" Shuzo was instantly smacked by Yuzu's fan.
"This special match will use the official Action Duel rules. I activate the Field Magic: Frontier Fang Castle!" The Real Solid Vision machine activated and started producing a field with a forest, rock pillars and a lone castle in the center.
"Behold! It's so realistic that it can be mistaken for the real thing! This is the Solid Vision System developed by LDS!"
A man made his appearance at the top of the castle. "Whoa! Standing at the top of that castle is the Action Duel champion for the past three years! Strong Ishijima!" Strong let out a battle cry and the audience cheered for him.
"Facing the mighty champion is the young challenger, Yuya Sakaki!" Nico pointed to the entrance of the arena, where Yuya stood with his arms crossed.
Instantly, the crowd jeered Yuya, sending insults and even throwing garbage at him.
"Get lost, coward!"
"Run away like your father!"
"Champion, beat him to a pulp!"
"Hey!" Yuzu was getting upset and wanted to confront the people saying those mean things about Yuya.
"Stop, Yuzu." Gongenzaka stopped her.
"But!" Yuzu really disliked people hating Yuya despite Yusho's disappearance not being his fault.
"I thought you would run away like your father." Strong said. "While I admire your courage in coming here, I have no business with you. You were just bait to draw out Yusho Sakaki."
"Well, I have business with you Ishijima." Yuya spoke. "You claim that my father was a coward, but I disagree. The coward is you!"
"What did you say, brat?!" Strong exclaimed as a vein popped on his head.
"You never faced my father before, so you had no idea of his strength, so when he didn't show up, you used words to make yourself feel better, to hide your insecurities, to hide how scared you are!" Yuya continued.
"I'm warning you boy!" Strong was on the edge.
"If you really are a champion, then stop fighting with your words." Yuya activated his Duel Disk. "Fight with your cards! Or are you scared, Coward Ishijima?!"
"You little brat! I will show you the skills of a pro!" Strong activated his Duel Disk.
"The words have been exchanged and now it is time to battle! Duelists, draw your five cards!" Yuya and Strong drew their cards.
"Duelists locked in battle! Kicking against the earth and dancing in the air with their monsters! They storm through the field! Behold! This is the newest and greatest evolution of Dueling! Action…" Nico snapped his fingers.
"Duel!" Yuya and Strong declared.

Strong LP: 4000, Hand: 5
"The first turn is given to Yuya Sakaki! Begin the battle!" Nico announced.
"Here we go. My turn, draw!" Yuya drew his card. He placed it in his hand and picked another card. "I Summon Odd-Eyes Pegasus (ATK: 1400, LV: 3) in Attack Position!" A beautiful white Pegasus with blue mane appeared and its eyes were different colors, one red and the other green.
Yuya jumped on Pegasus' back. "Let's fly, buddy." Pegasus took off into the air and flew towards the castle where Strong was at. He grabbed one more card from his hand. "I set one card and end my turn!"
Pegasus began to circle the castle, with Yuya not taking his eyes of Strong.
"You think you and your pony can beat the champion?!"
"Champion, knock that brat to the ground!"
The audience continued to jeer at Yuya.
"I hope Yuya knows what he's doing." Yuzu watched.
"It is his first Duel in a long time." Gongenzaka nodded his head.

Strong LP: 4000, Hand: 5
"Time to put you in your place. My turn, draw!" Strong drew his card. "I activate the Magic Card: Feast of the Wild Level 5! This allows me to Special Summon two Level 5 Warrior-type monsters from my hand with their effects negated! Come forth! Barbarian #1 (ATK: 1550, LV: 5) and Barbarian #2 (ATK: 1800, LV: 5)!"
The red and green barbarian appeared in the air and dropped down the castle. "Next, I release these two monsters to Advance Summon!" The barbarians disappeared and a light shined in the forest, making the birds fly away.
"From the depths of the dense forest, throw down the giant trees and show yourself! The barbarian king that rules the savage kingdom! Barbarian King (ATK: 3000, LV: 8)!" A large barbarian wearing the armor of a king appeared.
"There it is! Ishijima's ace monster has arrived!" Nico commentated and the audience cheered.
"You'll pay for accusing me to be a coward! Battle! Barbarian King, attack Odd-Eyes Pegasus!" Barbarian King jumped to attack Pegasus.
"I activate Odd-Eyes Pegasus's effect!" Yuya said. "When this monster is attacked while in Attack Position, I can switch it to Defense Position and negate the attack! Somersault!" Pegasus somersaulted over Barbarian King and avoided the attack.
"He dodged the attack but he can't win like that. He needs to go on the offensive." Gongenzaka observed.
"He is on the offensive, Gongenzaka." Yuzu, Gongenzaka and Shuzo turned to see a woman with blonde hair, green shirt and jeans approach them.
"Yoko." Shuzo said, acknowledging her as Yuya's mother.
"Yuya is fighting to remake himself." Yoko smiled at her son.
"So, you managed to dodge my attack? But what will you do about the second one?" Strong raised his right arm. "Since I released Barbarians to Advance Summon Barbarian King, it can attack twice per turn!"
"A second attack." Yuya narrowed his eyes.
"Attack Pegasus again!" Barbarian King raised its club and went to strike.
"I activate the Trap Card: Perfect Vision! When an Odd-Eyes Monster is targeted for an attack, this card negates all battle damage and prevents my monster's destruction!" Pegasus's eyes glowed and a barrier was created, protecting both it and Yuya from Barbarian King's club.
"Whoa, he's incredible!"
"He's actually fighting equal with the champion!"
Some members of the audience started to change their attitude towards Yuya.
"Fine. I set one card and end my turn." Strong finished his turn.

"Yuya is fighting to remake himself? What do you mean?" Yuzu asked. Yoko closed her eyes and smiled.
Flashback - Sakaki Residence (A few months ago)
"During these three years, Yuya took on the numerous responsibilities of an adult. Between his school work and his job, there was little to no time to practice Dueling. He might as well as given up the game." Yoko saw her son enter the house and collapse on the couch.
Yoko grabbed a blanket and put it over her son as he gave in to his exhaustion. She went to pick up his school bag but a notebook fell out of it and it opened. Yoko picked it up but noticed the notes on there and smiled. She rubbed her hand on Yuya's hair.
"But he didn't give up. Whenever he had a chance, he would prepare strategies against any Duelists. That includes Strong Ishijima…and his father." There was a note on Odd-Eyes defeating Sky Magician.
Present Time – Center Court
"He doesn't want to be known as the son of Yusho Sakaki, he wants to be known as Yuya Sakaki. A Duelist free from the shadows of a legacy. And this Duel is the first step on that path." Yoko watched her son jump off Pegasus and land on the castle roof above Strong.
"It's my turn! Draw!" Yuya drew his card and smiled. "I Summon Odd-Eyes Lion (ATK: 1600, LV: 4) in Attack Position!" A lion with yellow fur and red mane appeared. It had the same red and green eyes as Pegasus.
"Next, I activate the Magic Card: Dual Summon! This card allows me to Normal Summon once more this turn! I release Odd-Eyes Pegasus and Odd-Eyes Lion! Advance Summon!" Yuya slammed a card on his Duel Disk.
Pegasus and Lion jumped in the air and they both disappeared and a large red dragon appeared. "Come forth, dragon with dual-colored eyes! The heart and soul of my Dueling! Odd-Eyes Dragon (ATK: 2500, LV: 7)!"
The red dragon with red and green eyes landed on the clearing of the forest and Yuya jumped from the tower and landed on its back. "The counterattack starts now!"
In the audience, a kid with blue hair looked at Yuya with awe.
"This is your moment, Yuya. Show him your power." Yoko smiled.
"The counterattack? Your dragon's only got 2500 Attack Points! It doesn't stand a chance against my Barbarian King with 3000 Attack Points!" Strong argued.
"Is that so? I activate the Action Field's effect!" Yuya raised his arm and a wall of cards appeared in front of him, all of them having an A on the cover.
"By sending a random card from my deck to the Graveyard…" A card popped out of Yuya's deck and he sent it to the Graveyard. "I can add a random Action Magic to my hand!"
"Category: Statistics!" The wall of cards got narrowed down to 10 cards. Yuya then picked the fourth card on the left. He looked at it and smiled.
"I activate the Action Magic: Zero Penalty! One monster my opponent controls has its Attack Points reduced to 0!" A beam from the Action Card hit Barbarian King and it fell to its knees.
Barbarian King (ATK: 3000→0)
"Incredible! The tables have completely turned!" The audience now started to cheer for Yuya.
"Damn it, what luck." Strong cursed.
"It wasn't luck." Yuya argued. "The cards answered to my will. If you believe in the cards, you can create miracles!"
"What?" Strong was taken aback. "Cards are just cards! Quit spouting nonsense!"
"It's not nonsense! I'll prove it right now! Battle! Odd-Eyes Dragon, attack Barbarian King!" The blue gem in Odd-Eyes chest glowed.
"When Odd-Eyes Dragon destroys a Level 5 or higher monster, the opponent takes damage equal to half of the destroyed monsters Attack Points!" Yuya revealed.
Strong gasped. "Barbarian King's original Attack Points halved is 1500. Combined with the 2500 points of battle damage the total will be 4000!"
"Go, Odd-Eyes! Spiral Flame!" Odd-Eyes unleashed a fiery roar and it created an explosion!
"He did it!" Shuzo cheered for his student.
"Yuya!" Yuzu and Gongenzaka cheered for their friend. The whole arena cheered for the battle but when the smoke from the explosion cleared, Barbarian King was still on the field.
"Why?" Yuzu was confused.
Strong revealed an Action Card. "I used the Action Field's effect!" Strong said. "I sent a random card from my deck to the Graveyard and picked an Action Card from the Battle Category!"
"Action Magic: Miracle." Yuya narrowed his eyes. "That card is like my Perfect Vision Trap Card. It negates the destruction of a monster, but the damage is cut in half."
Strong LP: 4000→2750
"That's the Champion for you! He obtained the right Action Card to continue the Duel!" Nico commentated.
"In the end, you're nothing more than an amateur!" Strong jumped down from the castle. "I activate my Continuous Trap: Barbarian Rage! Whenever I receive Battle Damage, a Barbarian Monster's Attack Points increase by 2000!"
Barbarian King (ATK: 0→2000)
Yuya looked at his hand but there was nothing he could do. "I end my turn."
Yuya LP: 4000, Hand: 2
Strong LP: 2750, Hand: 1
"At the end of the turn, the Action Magic: Zero Penalty's effect ends and Barbarian King's Attack Points return to normal!" Nico announced as Barbarian King felt his power return to him.
Barbarian King (ATK: 2000→5000)
"It's stronger than what it was before!" Yuzu got worried.
"Yuya's strategy was perfect, it was just unlucky that the opponent got the right Action Card to save himself." Gongenzaka hated to admit it. Action Cards were a double-edged sword. It could help you, but it could also help you.
"Now, to put you in your place. My turn, draw!" Strong drew his card. "Battle! Barbarian King, attack Odd-Eyes Dragon!" Yuya barely managed to jump off Odd-Eyes when the attack connected, but the shockwave still sent him skidding back.
Yuya LP: 4000→1500
Barbarian King towered over Yuya while holding Strong in his hand. "Due to Barbarian Rage's effect, the monster I destroyed goes back to your hand instead of going to the Graveyard." Yuya added the Odd-Eyes Dragon card to his hand.
"Next, I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Barbarian Magic! This lets met gain Life Points equal to half of the Attack Points of the Odd-Eyes Dragon card that was sent back to your hand!"
Strong LP: 2750→4000
"He gained all of his Life Points back." Yuzu started to sweat.
"Barbarian King can only attack monsters a second time. You managed to survive. I set one card and end my turn!" Strong mocked Yuya.
Yuya LP: 1500, Hand: 3
Strong LP: 4000, Hand: 0
"Now it's your turn! Draw already! Or would you rather surrender? Like your old ma—" Strong was silenced when Yuya punched the ground hard, creating cracks. Even the crowd was silenced.
"I'm nothing like him…" Yuya got to his feet. "…I may be his son, but I have my own path." As if it had a will of his own, Yuya's pendant started to swing on its own.
"Yuya…" Yuzu put her hand towards her heart. Shuzo and Gongenzaka were looking at Yuya with concern. Yoko seemed unfazed but she still believed that her son would pull through, his own way.
"I won't run away! I won't give up! I'll fight to the end! My turn! Draw!" Yuya drew his card and his pendant swung further and further. "I activate the Magic Card: Pot of Greed! I draw two cards!"
Yuya put his fingers on his Deck. "This is my Destiny Draw!" Yuya drew his cards hard and his pendant released a light.
Yuya gasped as he felt great power swell within him. He then started seeing visions. He saw a futuristic metropolis being burned in flames. He saw a man wielding powerful dragons with one looking familiar. Yuya couldn't see the man's face but he saw that he was commanding the dragons to destroy everything.
Yuya was brought out of his vision and noticed the cards in his hand changed. "Wh-What is this?" His cards looked like they were half monster and half magic. "Odd-Eyes?" Yuya saw that his ace monster changed too. It was bigger and looked more ferocious.
"I…I believe you!" Yuya trusted his cards. He listened to them and took two of them and showed them to Strong. "With the Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and the Scale 8 Timegazer Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Yuya placed the cards on the far sides of his Duel Disk and the word Pendulum appeared across the blade.
A magician in white robes and a magician in black robes appeared in columns of light beside Yuya and floated up to the sky. The numbers 1 and 8 appeared underneath Stargazer and Timegazer respectively and a giant pendulum appeared between them.
"With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters from Levels 2 to 7!" Yuya revealed.
"What is going on?" Strong was confused and started to sweat.
"Swing, pendulum of souls! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Come out! My monster servants!" The giant pendulum swung back and forth and created a portal and three lights came out.
"Trickster Magician (ATK: 1900, LV: 5)! Power Magician (ATK: 2300, LV: 6, PS: 3)! And the dragon with dual-colored eyes, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon (ATK: 2500, LV: 7, PS: 4)!"
Trickster Magician was a female with long orange hair tied in a ponytail and she wore orange and black robes. She had a deck of cards that vanished as soon as she shuffled them. Power Magician was also female with short red hair and she wore red and white robes. She wielded a staff that had a red gem. And finally Odd-Eyes appeared, but like the card, its appearance changed to make it bigger and more powerful.
"What…" Yuzu was shocked by what happened.
"…is this?" Gongenzaka didn't know how to make of this. Everyone in the audience was so lost by what just happened.
Dark aura surrounded Yuya and he showed a confident smile.
Leo Corporation
In a monitoring room, screens showed a map of Maiami City and it detected an energy reaction.
"We're detecting high levels of summoning activity from the seafront of the city!" A man reported.
"Hurry up with the analysis!" The man at the center ordered
"We have the results! The summoning method is Pendulum!" A woman reported.
"Pendulum Summon?" This summoning method was never heard of before. He had to report it to the boss.
Center Court
"Three monsters at the same time? And all of them are above Level 4! He shouldn't be able to summon high level monsters without releasing!" Strong argued.
"But since the system isn't signaling an error…" Nico sweated.
"That means his summon…is legal?!" Strong couldn't believe it.
Yuya jumped on Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's back and pointed to Trickster Magician. "Trickster Magician's effect! Once per turn, I can select one monster on the field and have its Attack and Defense Points switched!"
Trickster Magician made her deck of cards reappeared and she shuffled them before sending them at Barbarian King and he fell to his knees.
Barbarian King (ATK: 5000→1100)
"Barbarian King's Attack Points is…" Strong was shocked that his monster was now very weak despite its powerups.
"Next, I activate Power Magician's effect! Once per turn, I can select one monster I control and have it gain 1000 Attack Points until the end of the turn!" Power Magician raised her staff and shot a red beam at Odd-Eyes, giving him more power.
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon (ATK: 2500→3500)
"The tables have turned! Now Odd-Eyes is the strongest monster while Barbarian King is the weakest!" Nico shouted.
"Let's go, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon! Unleash the power that resides in you and attack Barbarian King!" Yuya ordered. The orbs on Odd-Eyes started to glow.
"I won't let you! I activate my Trap Card: Barbarian Howling! It returns an attacking monster to the hand, and inflicts its Attack Points to you as damage!" Strong activated his Trap.
"Timegazer Magician, ruler of Time itself! Use your powers to protect your friends! Timegazer Magician's Pendulum Effect! Once per turn, it can negate the activation of a Trap Card that targets a Pendulum Monster! Inverse Gears!" Timegazer Magician expanded the device on his wrist and he reversed time so Strong's Trap Card never activated.
"Damn it! Then, I activate the effect of the Action Field!" Strong discarded a random card from his deck. "Category: Battle!" This time 9 cards appeared as he used Miracle before. He grabbed one of them.
"I activate the Action Magic: Evasion! I target then attacking monster and have its attack negated!" Strong played the Action Card.
"Stargazer Magician, ruler of Space itself! Seal the power of our enemies! Stargazer Magician's Pendulum Effect! Once per turn, during the Battle Phase, it negates the effects and activation of a Magic Card that targets a Pendulum Monster! Horoscope Divination!" Stargazer Magician used its magic to negate the Action Magic.
"Damn it! I can only use the Action Field effect once per turn!" Strong sweated. There was nothing else he could do.
"Odd-Eyes reducing everything you see with your dual-colored eyes!" Odd-Eyes jumped in the air. "Spiral Strike Burst!" Odd-Eyes unleashed a breath attack that connected to Barbarian King who tried to hold it back.
"Damn it…if he attacks with the other monsters…" Strong tried to shield himself.
"At this moment, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon's effect activates! When it battles a Level 5 or higher monster, all Battle Damage is doubled! Reaction Force!" Yuya revealed as Odd-Eyes used more power to attack.
"D-Doubled?!" Strong panicked. Barbarian King was destroyed and Strong was sent flying and crashed on the ground.

Odd-Eyes landed back on the ground and Yuya smiled. "I win…Coward."

The Action Field disappeared and the entire arena was silent at what they just witnessed.
"Did he win?" Yuzu asked.
"Y-Yeah." Gongenzaka answered.
Nico was shocked but soon composed himself and raised his mike. "T-The winner is…Yuya Sakaki!"
The audience snapped out of their shock and began to cheer for Yuya as his monsters disappeared, leaving Yuya as the last man standing.
With this, the first chapter is done. I hope you all enjoyed it. As I'm sure you're aware, I changed the rules of the Action Duel. I found it kind of annoying that in ARC-V, they could just spam these whenever they wanted, that's why I changed the rules.
Now, a Duelist must discard a random card from their deck and pick only one Action Card to use once per turn. If they don't use it, however, they have to pay 500 Life Point penalty. There are four categories.
Battle: Action Cards that can affect the Battle Phase.
Statistics: Action Cards that can affect the Attack and Defense Points of a monster.
Treasure: Action Cards that can allow you or the opponent to draw outside the Draw Phase.
Token: Action Cards that can summon a Token to either your field or the opponent's.
I hope you guys like the changes, but I'm gonna try and not make the Action Cards give a big impact. Also, the Duels will be following the old-school format, such as being allowed to draw on the first turn, summon monsters in faceup defense position, etc.
Like I said before, I don't have a schedule to release another chapter, I write when I have time and it's more of a hobby.
