SOME TIME AGO
King Triton of Atlantica; a merman with a long white beard, a golden crown and a golden trident was sulking on his throne looking at a picture of his youngest daughter Ariel who was still missing and he had his forces trying to find her. He thought that he was only protecting her by discouraging her weird fascination with the human world above the sea, they were dangerous and he was worried that they would claim her like they had claimed her mother.
Realising that she had run away; he put out a search party guilt building within him wondering if he would be able to make things right with her once or if she was found. If the sight of her crying into her arms was the last he would see off her; how could he continue on... He would be in no state to rule and might as well pass the crown onto his eldest Attina...
Said eldest came into his throne roomo frantic saying that the kingdom was being attacked by dark monsters and he was put out of his stupor, at least fo rnow to swim out of the throne room to survey the carnage for himself and what he was seeing with the monsters definitely didn't put him into a better mood.
"Long time no see brother..." said a familiar voice swimming down to face him...
Some more days had passed and Sora and Jasmine were watching amused as James feeling his hunger and feeling frustrated as he pulled in his fishing net and there was only a few scattered fish. "Once again, this is all I can manage and it's all thanks to that stupid mermaid!" James ranted and then a small wave comes up with Ariel on top so that she could face him. "Ever since we got you; fishing has been more difficult than it needs to be! Talking to the fish like that..." James continued to rant and Ariel shook her head.
She wasn't exactly thrilled about the idea of catching and eating fish since she learned about it from Sora and the people on his island; but she wasn't setting out to intentionally sabotage his fishing. "I am sorry but the fish just kept coming to speak and I couldn't help but warn them about the danger and besides; if I wasn't here then you would be swimming in the ocean without your burned down ship!" Ariel retorted as Sora and Jasmine laughed with James frustrated about being reminded of the close calls of the ship being set on fire with him trying to cook the fish that he did manage to catch.
"Plus it feels like you are judging me with how you are checking the net while in the water and when I bring my catch in; as if you want to judge me or what I eat!" Hook continued on and Ariel raised an eyebrow.
"I was only making sure that no one I knew was in there or knew anyone that I know; I wouldn't be able to live with myself I could have stopped a relative of Flounder from being eaten!" Ariel continued on and Jasmine noticed something within the seas and pointed it out to Sora.
Sora looked on and saw a familiar looking island and from the direction off the map that Jasmine had showed them throughout this particualr journey, "Captain! I think that I see my home; Destiny Islands!" Sora said much to Ariel's excitement.
James looked through it and Ariel said "I think that I can direct us all to Atlantic from here!" They were excited but then James shook his head with his arms crossed.
"Don't feel like coming with us Captain?" Jasmine asked raising an eyebrow while Sora frowned and Ariel glared as if he was trying to intentionally be petty with her.
"Never liked being in the water itself and besides; someone has to look after the ship. What if the ship gets found and looted by more pirates?" James pointed out and they realised that it was a fair point.
James then began steering to a small island so that they could anchor the ship to it, Jasmine went and got the Water Jewel and then began activating it's magic. Sora then found himself in a purple shirt with purple shorts and a golden belt though he was barefooted.
"You look nice Sora." complimented Ariel looking him over and Sora went to face Jasmine...
"I think so too Sora but what do you think off how I look?" Jasmine asked and Sora's mouth was wide open to see Jasmine with her hair tied back with a golden band, a yellow top that also exposed her midriff with purple straps, purple bikini bottoms and a yellow small skirt with her also barefoot. She chuckled along with Sora as he nervous passed the Water Jewel to her to put safely on her top.
Sora and Jasmine held their breaths as they carefully went to the deck of the ship and Ariel helped pull them over and into the water.
It felt weird being underwater and soon they let go off holding their breaths and found that they could breathe, they then tried moving about in the water swimming and it felt like they needed to get used to. "Don't worry you two, I can show you how to move as I show you around... Come and swim this way!" Ariel laughed and looked like a show off as she began moving in the water and even doing flips with the two then doing their best to follow her example and instructions.
In the throne room of Atlantica; there was an obtuse light purple skinned woman with a massive grin on her face, white hair, a golden crown, black swimsuit and black octopus tentacles. She was Ursula the Sea Witch; the newly usurped Queen of Atlantic holding her brother's trident in her hands and surveyed her Heartless army who had taken the kingdom for her by force.
Managing to be strong enough to fight her brother to a stalemate but her forces had captured all but one of his daughters and in order to spare them; he was forced to surrender the trident to him and she transformed them all in polyp fishes. The youngest Ariel had been driven off by her brother and so they were on the lookout for her; to finish the set and so once her brother's humiliation by transforming his entire family was complete, she will set forth and conquer the above world as well.
However she felt the presence of a Key Bearer underwater in her kingdom through her new dark powers. "You remember right; our agreement? In exchange for the power to take the kingdom from your brother, you destroy the Key Bearer." Ursula heard a voice and saw a portal open up showing a human in a dark cloak; he was a herald of darkness who gave her even greater dark magic power than before and control over the Heartless.
The power that she had before she had found and it transformed her from a mermaid into the sea witch; it wasn't enough to oust her brother and she was banished. "I remember the agreement so don't worry and I am only taking what rightfully belongs to me..." Ursula replied as politely as she could; she was the older sibling and yet their father gave the castle and the underwater kingdom to Triton.
The fool despite being god of the sea; would rather stay in the clouds above even the humans. She should see about paying her dear old daddy a little family reunion once this world was her's.
"See that you do Ursula for you shall be seen the same mercy as you gave those who couldn't hold their end of the bargains to you." the herald replied and the portal dissapeared and Ursula glared scornfully at where the portal was.
This was not the end of making deals that she enjoyed...
Following Ariel it started getting easier to move and about and swim in the ocean for Sora and Jasmine but then they stopped near a grotto that Ariel was leading them to when there appeared Heartless floating about. "Just like the Heartless monsters on that island..." Sora muttered and Ariel thought about how she didn't recognise the Heartless on the island since these ones looked different.
Ariel went about swimming around them and trying to lead them to Sora for him to attack as Jasmine got out her scimitar with the handle turning purple and it seemed to work as well under the water. Sora was about to fight them off despite the difficulty of being underwater.
Soon they were taken care off and Ariel showed them the inside of the grotto with different items destroyed and scattered, "My collection..." Ariel muttered sadly picking something up as Sora and Jasmine looked around sadly.
"Wow, looked like you had been collecting the stuff for a long while..." Jasmine said seeing just how many broken pieces there were and was feeling angry about Ariel's father and Sora as well.
Sora then found a red crab jumping out at him, "Ariel? Is that you? I was so worried when I caught glimpses off you but fighting off the monsters but then the human boy took out the Keyblade! How is one underwater anyway?" asked the talking crab as Ariel smiled at it taking Sora and Jasmine off guard.
"The crab talked... Well if Ariel can talk to fish then that means that the Water Jewel allows us the magical power as well..." Jasmine commented.
"I am so glad to see you again Sebastian! This is my father's advisor and this is Sora and my new friend Jasmine!" Ariel explained and Sebastian looked at them while they waved.
"So this is the human boy you talked so much about and I had to keep cover for your disappearences!" Sebastian muttered as Sora giggled.
"Ariel did talk about how he was a grouch at times..." Sora whispered to Jasmine who giggled along with him.
"So this is the famous Sora huh?" asked a younger boyish voice and there was a blue and yellow fish who swam to Sora to look him in the eye as Sora waved at him again. He then went to Ariel smiling and she hugged him with a huge smile on her face. "I missed you too Ariel... I was just about to fight those monsters off heroically before your new friends took care of them first." said the fish and Ariel laughed.
"I'm sure you were Flounder; these are my human friend and new one who I brought to help fight Ursula and the monsters." Ariel said as Flounder then looked at Sora suspiciously.
"I think he sees you as a love rival Sora..." Jasmine whispered to Sora amused remembering how Ariel said that he may have a crush on her and Sora didn't know what to think of it.
"We were so worried for you Ariel girl especially when Ursula struck, all 3 of us have been hiding here!" Sebastian exclaimed and the trio then looked at him confused at him saying 3. "You can come on out now your highness!" he then yeleld and out from a pile was a nervous looking small polyp fish with a look of shame and relief on his face. "First thing the sea witch had done when she got your father's trident..." Sebastian muttered as Ariel gasped in realisation.
"Dad?" she asked with her friends being taken aback.
Who is the Herald? Wait and see. Plus Jasmine's Water Jewel form is the same off the doll I talked about in the author's note off the chapter where Ariel came in and I gave Sora a form based on the Water Jewel dolls.
