Day 1- Little 'Soka and a Tooka

Ahsoka danced happily around in the gardens at the temple, spinning in endless circles. Master Plo stood at a distance, only paying attention to the young togruta absorbed in her own world.

As Ahsoka spun something caught her eye. She paused and rocked back and forth as she refocused. She saw the thing again and it moved! Her jaw dropped and she slowly began walking forward. It looked like some sort of animal.

She gasped and chuckled at the sudden realization that she could catch it. Maybe she could keep it as a pet.

The small girl dropped to her knees then laid down on her stomach, watching as the animal, almost as big as herself, moved across the wall around the garden. Ahsoka scooted forward, inching slowly toward the animal so as not to disturb it.

As she got closer she saw more clearly that it was a tooka. She giggled again; she liked tookas.

The cat paused and looked right at her.

She froze.

Then slowly, ever so slowly, she reached out her hand. Maybe it still smelled like breakfast. "Come here," she whispered.

It titled its head and then began to stalk forward. Ahsoka could feel the excitement building up in her. She just wished that the cat would move a tad faster. Once it was close enough, she could pounce on it. That is, if it didn't pounce her first.

The wait felt like hours to her, and just when she about to go forward to pounce, it did.

She shrieked a little bit, but managed to get out of the way and roll on top of it.

"I have you, kitty!" Ahsoka cried. "Now you have to behave and be mine." She petted its head and shushed it, calming it down remarkably well.

Once it was settled down and had stopped squirming, Ahsoka grinned and stood up. She looked around to find where Master Plo was and rushed over to him.

"Master Plo!" She shouted running over to him. "Look!"

The Jedi master turned around to look at the eager togruta. "What is it, 'Soka?"

"I caught a tooka!" she said proudly. "He was sneaking around the garden and I saw him and I decided to catch him and I caught him!"

"Well," Plo chuckled. "I'm quite impressed."

"Master Plo?" Ahsoka asked her eyes widening. "Can we keep him?"

"I'm afraid not," Plo Koon sighed. "Pets aren't allowed by the Jedi. I'm afraid you'll have to release it."

Ahsoka frowned, sticking out her lower lip. "Fine," she mumbled.

She dropped the cat to her feet and he circled around her, rubbing her legs. Ahsoka giggled and petted it, making it purr, before it ran off.

She sighed and looked up at the Jedi master. "Do you think I'll ever get to have a pet, Master?"

Plo Koon shrugged and picked up the small girl. "I don't know, 'Soka. I don't know."
