Day 28- Tup + Echo playing a game as Rex + Fives rest
Tup looked over his cards, pondering what he should ask for next from Echo. He rubbed the corners of the card, thinking much harder about it than he really needed to. Cards games -especially one so simply as this with Echo- shouldn't feel stressful.
As an attempt to distract himself from the unnecessary anxiety he felt, Tup looked over at Fives, who had his head in Echo's lap.
"Is he asleep?" Tup asked pointing to Fives. "He looks asleep."
Echo looked down at his resting brother. "Seems pretty asleep. Hasn't moved in a while really, and his breathing is pretty steady. However, I doubt he'll feel very comfortable when he wakes up."
"What about the Captain? Is he still there?" Echo asked.
Tup nodded and at the same time a short hum came from behind Echo.
They both smiled and laughed quietly.
"Sure is still there," Tup whispered. "But I don't know how awake he is."
Echo pursed his lips to keep too much laughter from escaping. "I guess they're really exhausted. Now, are you going to ask for something?"
Tup sighed and glanced over his cards again. "7s, I guess…"
Echo shook his head. "Go fish."
