Day 30- Fives and Ahsoka Sparring
Fives bragged. A lot. Sometimes what he said was a joke; other times he was serious about it.
One day when Ahsoka was down in the barracks with the men, Fives was claiming he could defeat them all in a sparring match. When he said this, he hadn't been talking to the Commander, just his brothers. But, nonetheless, she responded.
"Even me?" Ahsoka asked innocently.
Fives stopped talking and looked at her in shock. "What?"
"Even me, Fives?" she asked again.
Fives furrowed his brow, feeling like this was somehow a trick. "Well, yeah, probably. I mean, I've been doing this far longer than you have, and you're significantly…smaller than I am, so I'd imagine so."
"Well, if you're so confident in your ability, why don't we find out?" Ahsoka smirked.
Fives snorted. "Alright, if you're sure. But don't go complaining when you get whooped."
"Of course not," she smiled back.
A lot of excitement followed them as they made their way to the training room. Fives took off his armor to give her a better chance.
Clones lined the sides of the pad they were on, and Rex stood with a datapad in hand, the only one of the troops not smiling.
The two contestants fell into a starting position. Ahsoka relaxed her face and dropped her smile. Fives continued to smirk.
"You may begin when ready!" Echo called out.
"Are you sure about this, Commander?" Fives smirked. "I don't want to hurt you-"
He had barely finished talking when he felt his feet leave the ground. He heard his brothers cheering and shouting and the next thing he knew, he was flat on his back.
Things were blurry for a moment, and as his vision returned to normal, Fives saw an orange circle appear over him.
"What was that about not hurting me, Fives?" Ahsoka said. "Well, I'm sure your don't have to worry about it."
Fives huffed and sat up, rubbing the back of his head. "That hardly counts as sparring!"
Ahsoka shrugged. "I won fair and square. You shouldn't have been so cocky."
Fives hung his mouth open in indignation. He looked around the room for support and defense, but none came. Just snickers. Even Rex was smirking at the scene.
Fives groaned and laid back down. That was the last time he challenged the Commander to a sparring match.
