Okay first things first, this story is Villain Izuku/Deku. If you don't like that then please exit the page now.

Okay now concerning why I wrote this story. I love the stories where a character suddenly gets the power to live life like they were in an RPG, I love the BNHA/MHA ones the most though but there was one thing missing that kept niggling at the back of my mind.

There were no stories of Izuku/Deku taking that power and deciding to be a villain with it instead of a hero. I think that he would be one of the most feared villains of all time with a quirk like this.

After I got the idea of a Villain Izuku with the powers of the Gamer then I looked for other stories, trying to find some that featured my idea. I did happen to find one story, it's named Operator: Villain Gamer Izuku.

Sadly, it only has one chapter and was uploaded over a year ago so it didn't really fill my need for a Gaming Villain Izuku.

So the idea to make my own story about it popped in my head, I tried to push it away since I already have 3 other stories going but as you can tell, that didn't really work.

If any of you plan to write your own stories where a player/character gets the powers of a gamer be prepared for how much you need to research and how much math will go into it, trust me most of the time I spent working on this story was me looking up things or doing the math to make sure I got everything right for this story.

I'll probably update this one less than my other stories, I managed to finish two chapters for each of my other stories before I finished one chapter for this one thanks to double-checking everything.

Anyways enough rambling, onto the actual story.

Izuku stared up at the words that were floating above him, he had no clue where they had come from but they were there since he had woken up. He has spent the last five minutes staring in disbelief.

Congrats, you slept in a bed

HP and MP Maxed

Izuku slowly got up and touched the screen making it shatter into light and then disappear. He shook his head confused, this was so weird. It had to be someone playing a prank on him right?

Shaking his head again, he walked to his dresser and got dressed in his uniform for his job.

His name was Izuku Midoriya and his life was awful.

80% of the earth's population had a superpower called a quirk, 20% of the population were quirkless and were treated worse than garbage. For as long as Izuku could remember he had wanted to be a hero with all his might, he wanted to save people with a smile, but there was only one problem.

He was quirkless.

Everyone looked down on him and told him that he could never be a hero, even his idol, All Might had told him that without a quirk he could never make it. That was the day he gave up his dream, sadly the world decided that he hadn't suffered enough and two months later his mother was killed in a villain attack.

It wasn't the villain that killed her though, it was the Hero. It was said that it was an accident, that the Hero had no clue that his mother was in the range of his attack but that didn't make Izuku feel better. The hero murdered his mother, what made it worse was that it was the villain that tried to save her life. It was supposed to be a simple robbery, no one was meant to die according to the villain.

Izuku didn't blame the villain for his mom's death, no, he blamed the hero. The hero had been more focused on trying to get publicity instead of protecting the civilians.

What was worse was that the Hero didn't even get in trouble. Sure he had to give Izuku some money so he could live by himself from now on but that was it. Izuku didn't even get much so all he could afford after moving out of the apartment he and his mon had lived in was a crappy one-bedroom/bath apartment on the shadier side of town.

Sighing he grabbed the things needed and started making himself a simple breakfast, he just when another screen popped up in front of him.

A new skill has been created! By cooking your own food you have unlocked the skill 'Cooking'

Cooking (Active)

Level 4

Izuku stared before shakily tapping the screen causing it to disappear again. He finished cooking before he sat down at his table and stared at his food in shock.

Was this real? Was this his quirk? Did he have a quirk? He was in shock, all this time he had a quirk after all? Could he use it to be a hero-No he would never be a hero, quirk or no quirk? He had finally seen the awful side of hero society and decided he wanted nothing to do with it.

He sat thinking for a bit, his quirk seemed to be like a game so maybe that meant he had a menu too? Hesitantly he called out, "Menu?" He jumped when another screen popped up, he had not been expecting that to work if he was being honest. He stared at the screen.

Izuku slowly reached out and tapped the status screen, eyes lighting up when it changed.

Name: Izuku Midoriya

Title: The Gamer

Level: 3

HP: 250/250

MP: 200/200

STR: 4

VIT: 6

DEX: 3

INT: 16

WIS: 8

LUCK: 2

POINTS: 0

MONEY: 100 Yen

He frowned when he saw his stats, he would need to figure out to raise them. Why was his INT so much higher than the others though? Why did he have no points? Did his quirk put the points for leveling up into INT thanks to him being smarter than normal? If that was the case then it sucked, he could have chosen better.

His jaw dropped when he saw how low his luck level was, a 2? Was that why so many bad things happened to him so often? He clicked each of his stats to see if they were what they thought they were.

He first clicked on STR.

STR means strength. Strength affects how strong a character is and how hard a weapon hits. It helps you swing slow/heavy weapons faster and harder.

He hummed and nodded, that made sense though he wondered where he would ever get a weapon.

He then clicked on VIT

VIT means Vitality, this affects how much health a character has.

He thought this made sense too, he would need to make sure he leveled this up as much as he could. Clicking on DEX next he was rewarded with another screen.

DEX means Dexterity. Dexterity is how fast your character is. It helps when attacking with fast and semi-light weapons as well.

So STR affected his strength while DEX affected his speed, both would be very important to level up. Even though he had a feeling that he knew what INT was he clicked on it anyways and was pleasantly surprised.

Int means Intelligence, This affects a character's IQ and how much mana they have (MP) The higher the INT the more Mana you can use before you run out.

Now he just needed to figure out how to use Mana in the first place. He knew that if he could figure it out it would be useful in the future. He clicked WIS next.

WIS means Wisdom, the more you have the better you understand the world around you and can make logical choices.

Izuku once again thought this made sense, he would need to level up this too, in fact, he needed to level up all of his stats unless he wanted to continue to be weak.

He clicked the LUCK stat next.

Luck is just what it sounds like, it helps determine if you get good or bad luck at any given time. (Hint: You can raise this by winning at luck-based games.)

He was pleased with the hint, he already had a few ideas on how to raise that stat. He clicked Points next.

Points, these are how many attribute points you have, you can use these to raise your attributes (Hint: Try saving these for later on, you never know when you will need them.)

He snorted at the hint, that was kind of hypocritical of his quirk now wasn't it? Considering it placed all the points he got into INT. He clicked the money thing just to see what it would say.

Money, This shows you how much money you have on you. You can place money in your inventory and it will show how much you have here.

You currently have 100 Yen, you can earn money by doing odd jobs, beating bosses in dungeons, completing quests, and more.

He was actually pretty pleased with that description, it just told him that he could find dungeons and earn money from quests. Hopefully, this would help him earn enough money for a better place to live.

He shook his head and closed out of the Status screen, he opened the menu again and went right to the Title option.

Titles

Here you can change out titles for different status effects. You need to earn the titles though but don't worry we gave you one for free!

The Gamer: Gives the Player 15% more EXP when completing quests and a 5% stat/skill increase when working on leveling up.

He smiled widely, that was an awesome title, he wondered what the other titles would be like? He went back to the Menu and went to the next tab, which was the SKill list.

Skill List

Gamer's mind (Passive) maxed out

Allows the user to calmly think things through. Allows peace of mind. Grants immunity to psychological status effects.

Makes it so the player no longer needs sleep unless injured.

Gamer's body (Passive) maxed out

Grants a body that allows the user to live life as a game. Makes it so the Players body does not take damage unless in low health. Will make it so no bruises, scratches, or cuts will appear on the player's body unless in low health.

Cooking (Active) Level 4

Allows the player to cook their own meals, meals can then be used to heal physical problems the player has sustained. (Note, the amount the player's cooking heals depends on the level the 'cooking' skill is at.)

He frowned slightly when noticing that he didn't have many skills. He was pleased with the Gamer's mind and Body skills, those were probably why he was so calm at the moment. He was also pleased to know that his cooking could be able to heal him later on. It reminded him of that character from that new Disney movie that came out a couple of months ago, Encanto.

He went to the Inventory tab next and was greeted by a text box explaining its uses for it.

Inventory

Has a couple of slots for clothes so the user can switch between outfits on the go!

Has a slot for weapons so the user can switch between weapons on the go!

Has unlimited inventory, and can basically carry anything as long as it's not alive, useful, and very broken.

Has a search bar to help the user find things they need if they have too many things.

Food or drinks will not go bad when placed in the Player's inventory.

He was ecstatic when finding out that there was no limit to how many things he could carry. His mind was already whirling with ideas on how to use that to his advantage as he closed out and went to the next tab.

Party Options

Invite someone to join your party. This will allow them to see their skills/status and get several perks that the user enjoys. (Please note that you do not need to invite anyone, this is just an option.)

Has a party chat to keep in touch with Party members at any time.

He rolled his eyes at this feature, he doubted he would ever invite anyone to a party. He knew if anyone figured out about this feature when he revealed he had a quirk then they would bug him to make a party with them, just so they could use him to level their own skills much faster than normal.

He knew that Bakugou would have no problems with abusing Izuku's quirk so get stronger, he already abused Izuku himself whenever they met, why not his quirk too.

Growling at the thought he quickly went to the next tab.

Map

A map of your surrounding areas, you can enable an option to show you where others are at any given time. You can also enable a mini-map that will show up right out of the corner of your eye. (Note: This will not affect your vision, it will act just like your health bar and Mana Bar at the upper left corner of your screen)

Izuku was already trying to figure out how to activate the mini-map, that would be so useful!

The next tab was named quests but it was grayed out at the moment, he guessed that since he didn't have a quest then he couldn't open the tab so he moved on to the next one.

Options

This screen will show you all options.

Minimap: Off

Health/Mana Bar: Off

Closed Captions: Off

Third Person: Off

Controller Controls: Off

Desktop controls: Off

Background Music: Off

Particle effects: Off

Perfect Vision: off

Izuku frowned and decided to mess with a few of the options to get them to what he wanted. After he was done he smiled.

Minimap: On

Health/Mana Bar: On

Closed Captions: On

Third Person: Off

Controller Controls: Off

Desktop controls: Off

Background Music: Off

Particle effects: On

Perfect Vision: on

He wasn't sure if he would keep the Particle effects on for long but until he got annoyed he would see what it does. Looking at the time he jumped up, Shit he was going to be late for work. Just when he thought that another screen popped up.

QUEST

Get to work on time

If you get to work on time you will be rewarded 50$, 60exp and ?.

Fail and you will be fired from your job.

Accept quest?

Yes?No?

Quickly pushing yes he ran out of his apartment with his bag and booked it to his job, he took several shortcuts, using his new mini-map to help guide him and he got there with a couple of minutes to spare.

Izuku quickly told his boss he was there and got changed into his uniform, when he was going to leave the backrooms he was stopped by his boss.

"Midoriya I have got to say, you are the best employie that I have, you always do your best to be on time and never miss a day! Thanks to this I'll be giving you a raise of an extra 6 dollars an hour for a total of 19 dollars an hour! Keep up the good work. Got to say, I should have hired someone quirkless ages ago if they're so useful!" His boss then walked away leaving Izuku standing there in shock until another screen popping up snapped him out of it.

He wasn't sure how to feel about his bosses comment on hiring someone quirkless sooner.

QUEST COMPLETE

You got to work on time and managed to impress your boss!

Rewarded with 50$, 60exp, and a 6 dollar raise!

Izuku smiled widely, he closed the window and quickly went to work. Throughout the day whenever he went to the backrooms to grab things to restock he snuck objects into his inventory. For some reason, there were no cameras in the backrooms. Izuku was glad that his inventory didn't give off any sign of being used when he put something in, this way even if there were cameras they would never be able to pin the theft on him.

One time when he was sneaking something into his Inventory he got another message.

A new skill has been created! By stealing objects without getting caught you have unlocked the skill, "Stealing".

Stealing (Active)

Level 1

He clicked the screen before continuing his day. As soon as he got home he went to his skills tab to see what he got from this skill.

Stealing (Active) Level 1

Steal objects without getting caught. It's exactly what it means, steal more objects to level this skill up, but be careful. The Player has a 97% chance to be caught when stealing when others are around. (Note, the higher the level the lower the risk of being caught.)

Izuku just knew that he would be leveling up that skill a lot, after all with the new goal he just knew he would need it.

If he couldn't be a hero then he would be a villain and get revenge against everyone who treated him wrong. He would also get revenge for his mother's death.

Izuku walked home after work deep in thought, he was planning on ways to level up his stats and skills. Cooking would probably need him to cook a lot to level up and stealing would probably just be him stealing without being caught.

He would have to be careful when leveling his stealing skill, he did not want to get caught.

He wished that he could have stolen more at work though, or things other than what he did steal. He knew that it was better to start off small with the things that got overlooked when restocking the store anyways. He also only stole a couple of things so he didn't need to spend any money on food for a bit.

When he got home he opened his inventory and smiled slightly at his hall.

Inventory

1 Loaf of bread. (Unopened)

1 carton of milk (Unopened)

8 carrots

4 apples

1 stick of butter

3 eggs

1 jar of peanut butter. (Unopened)

1 pack of paper plates (Unopened)

1 pack of plastic silverware (Unopened)

He stole the paper plates and the silverware because using those would lower his use of water when cleaning dishes, which would help lower his water bill in return.

Shaking his head he grabbed a quarter and tossed it in the air, "Heads." he caught it and looked at it, he cursed softly. "Shit tails, okay lets get trying this. This should hopefully level up my luck stat."

He jumped when he got a notification, he didn't know if he would ever get used to this quirk but he did love it.

He smiled when reading the notification he got and cheered softly.

On coming to a logical conclusion you get 1+Wis, congratulations!

That meant he had 9 wisdom now. He was still happy several minutes later when he realized that the game had just confirmed his theory that the coin thing would level up his luck, he just had to guess right a lot of times.

He spent the rest of his time until bed working on leveling up his luck, he only managed to guess right less than half the time but he could tell he was close. He paused when he was getting ready for bed and realized that he didn't really need sleep anymore.

He chuckled sheepishly, habits died hard. He decided to use this time he would normally sleep to meditate and think about what happened today, it had been a crazy day after all.

Five minutes after he started to meditate he heard a noise he was coming to realize meant he had a notification so he opened his eyes.

When new skills appear the screen says

A new skill has been created! By Meditating you have unlocked the skill Meditate.

Meditate (Active)

Level 1

He quickly opened his skills tab to look at the new skill.

Skill List

Gamer's mind (Passive) maxed out

Allows the user to calmly think things through. Allows peace of mind. Grants immunity to psychological status effects.

Makes it so the player no longer needs sleep unless injured.

Gamer's body (Passive) maxed out

Meditate (Active) Level 1

Meditating can help the player clear their mind.

Increases HP recovery per minute by WIS while Meditating

Increases MP recovery per minute by WIS while Meditating.

WIS can be trained through Meditating.

(2 HP recovery per minute)

(2 MP recovery per minute)

Izuku's mind whirled as he mentally did the calculations needed to figure out how long it would take him to refill his health if it ever reached 2%.

He frowned when he realized that it would take exactly 2 hours and 4 minutes to get back up to 250 health if he ever reached 2%. If he ever managed to get down to half his health it would take him around 1 hour and 2 and a half minutes to get back up to full health.

He spent the rest of the night grinding Meditate, trying to use it to get his WIS higher, he managed to get 4 extra WIS throughout the night. Not as much as he hoped he would get.

He stretched when his alarm went off before he went to go make himself some toast with his new bread and butter he got yesterday.
