33. Drinks and Complications ft YukAmo
**I like to imagine Yukari is demisexual and Minamo is asexual. And Yukari gets weak sometimes. **
**I don't own anything.**
"Yukari…" Minamo sighed and pushed away the cup of sake that her partner had in her face, "I don't want to drink tonight."
Yukari swung the cup back and downed the entire glass. She let out a satisfied breath. "Aw come on! Don't be such a stick in the mud!" She poured another drink, offering it to Minamo again.
The PE teacher resisted the urge to ground her teeth together. She had been saying no for the past ten minutes and she just wanted to read her book.
"For the last time! No, I don't want your sake!"
Yukari flinched back. She eyed Minamo angrily, "Okay, fine Miss No Fun."
She watched Yukari grumble before slouching into the couch. Minamo almost smiled at the pout. Content, Minamo shifted so she was more comfortable sitting on the floor in front of the couch. She unmarked her book, but before she could begin to read Yukari tore the book from her hands.
Somehow the English teacher was in her lap and the cup full of sake was being forced to her lips. "Dammit, Nyamo! Just drink it!" She ignored Minamo's thrashing and continued to push the cup upward. "Drink it or it'll be all over you!"
What she hadn't counted on was for Minamo to yank the cup away and send her flying backwards off of her. Yukari landed, hard, on her back. She must've hit her head because suddenly there were floating stars on Minamo's living room ceiling.
"That's it, Yukari!" Minamo slammed the glass of sake dwn onto the coffee table and stood. She grabbed her partner by the neck of her dress and jerked her, unsteadily, to her feet. "You're out tonight!"
"Out of what?" Yukari groaned, letting herself be steered towards the door.
"No, you're being kicked out!" The front door opened and Minamo pushed her rather drunk girlfriend out of the room. The door slammed shut before Yukari even landed face first on the floor.
Yukari blinked and then turned around to bang on the door. "Oh come on, Nyamo! Lemme back in! I'll be good! I promise!"
No response.
"Nyamo!"
More silence.
The eccentric woman growled and slammed a fist into the door. "Nyamo!"
A door opened down the hallway, "Hey, keep it down!" Yukari opened her mouth to retort, but the man continued, "Or I'll call the cops!"
Firmly clamping her mouth shut, she leaned against the door and hoped Minamo would let her in soon.
Yukari could only imagine what time it was. She was freezing and tired and the booze was starting to wear off. Still, instead of trying to navigate back to her parent's house, she stayed curled up in a ball, leaning on Nyamo's door.
Maybe she had messed up. Minamo had never kicked her out before.
"Hey, Nyamo." She mumbled into the wood of the door. "I gotta pee."
Somewhere in the hallway, a clock ticked. "And I'm tired, Nyamo."
"I might sleep barf too." Though she didn't feel as nauseated as she usually did. "Plus it's kinda scary out here."
And it was. Creepy men in ill lit hallways were one of her biggest fears.
"How am I supposed to sleep out here?" She muttered the question, looking for any kind of sympathy.
Nothing.
Nuzzling the cold door, she sighed. "Come on, Nyamo. Don't be mad."
She paused to put her ear to the door, hoping to hear something (even if it was Nyamo's light snoring). When there wasn't a sound, she mumbled "I thought drinking every now and then was okay…"
She moved her hand so that her fingertips pushed under the door's threshold. A brush of skin made her smile.
Her dearest Minamo had been sitting on the other side of the door the whole time.
"I guess this isn't just about drinking though, is it?" Yukari lightly rubbed her index finger against Minamo's hand.
She cleared her throat. "You know, the only time you wanna do something more than cuddle is when you're drunk."
She listened for Minamo's response. Nothing but a small rustle on the other side.
"And every once in a while, something more than cuddling would be nice…When was the last time we even kissed?"
A hand covered her fingers.
Yukari felt a wave of guilt wash over her. "I'm sorry. I know that wasn't part of the deal, but-"
"All you had to do was say something."
