"Destiny is no matter of chance. It is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved."

Altered Destiny

He closed his eyes. The space inside him, usually occupied, seemed deserted. His chakra was being continuosly pulled into the gap that was, until recently, filled by that irritable tenant of his.

Opening his eyes, he saw three concerned faces looking down at him.

"Dad!"

He smiled. "Hey, Boruto..." his voice seemed weak. What was going on?

Closing his eyes again, he checked on his chakra. To his horror, he found it to be gushing into some sort of void, and at a rapid pace. He understood. "So that's what Kurama meant when he said both of us would die, huh..." he thought as he recalled the warning given to him by the fox.

He opened his eyes again, and saw that by now, his son had clutched his hands, worry written all over his face.

"Dad!" he managed to blurt out despite the tears.

"It's alright Boruto, everything is okay now," he said as Sasuke took a look at him with his Sharingan and gasped "You're..."

"Yeah, Sasuke...but I think it's about time, considering everything I did, isn't it?" he grinned as the colour seemed to go out of Sasuke.

Turning toward Boruto, he cupped his cupped his cheeks "I have to go now, Boruto...take care of Mom and Hima for me, okay?"

Boruto's face went pale as he screamed something that he couldn't hear. "Guess this is it for me.." he thought as he closed his eyes once again and felt the last of his chakra go through the void.

"Goodbye, Boruto, Himawari...Goodbye, Hinata.." he braced himself as a blinding white light surrounded him, completely enveloping him. He felt his body going numb. This was it.

Suddenly, he felt a jolt. He heard something, no, someone. A familiar voice, yet he had no idea whose it was. A familiar presence, but strange nonetheless. It kept calling out to him repeatedly, and he could slowly hear what it was this voice was trying so hard to convey to him.

"NARUTO!"

Naruto woke up with a jolt, as the all too familiar voice rang in his ears. Looking upward, he couldn't help but gasp, as he saw a tick mark appear on Iruka's visage.

"Now I hope you have a satisfactory answer as to why you're sleeping in the middle of MY class, young man, or you're going to have detention for the rest of the week!"

The man fumed at the blonde as he just stared right back at him without seeming to have heard him.

"I-Iruke s-sense-i?" muttered the blonde, as revelation after revelation poured into his head.

"Who else do you think?" questioned Iruka, growing concerned since even though Naruto was known for falling asleep in class, this wasn't how he usually behaved.

But before he could answer, Naruto felt as if all the energy had been drained from him yet again, and he felt the world spinning as his head hit the desk with Iruka's voice still ringing in his head.

"Naruto!"

He didn't know what happened, but he was sure of one thing.

He was reincarnated.

Authors Message: Hey guys! Just a new author trying to kick up a series that I thought up of long ago, and I recently found the time so I was like, 'Why not do it right now?' So hear I am now, haha. I admit, this is my first series, and I'm pretty bad at this, I know, so I would really appreciate it if you guys give me some pointers, even if they're a bit (but please don't be too harsh on me, huhu). That's it for now, I know it's a small one but I'll make bigger ones as time goes on, I promise. Later!
