Previously on FIML:

Kim watched as her best friend walked another four blocks and to his house. She unlocked her door and stepped inside, and ran to her room. Her mother wouldn't be home for another two hours, so she had time to spare. She completed all her homework and did other nonsense, but then she opened her laptop to IM Julie. She was about to open a tab when a better idea popped into her head.

How about I go on FanFiction instead...?

Chapter 2: Addiction to FanFiction

Nobody POV

"Hey, has anybody seen Kim today?" asked Rudy.

That was the infamous question of the day. It was yet again another sunny day in California, and of course there was 3:00pm practice at the Bobby Wasabi dojo. The only problem was that it was 3:30pm now, and Kim still hadn't shown up. Kim was all about punctuality. And to see that she was half an hour late for practice was a HUGE surprise.

"Yo Jack, where's your mamacita?" Jerry pondered.

Jack, at his locker, swiveled his head around to the Latino and shot his reply. "Okay, one, Kim is not my mamacita. And two, I don't know where she is. I knocked on her door this morning but nobody answered."

"I already blew up her phone with 20 calls, 12 voice mails, and 53 text messages," chimed Eddie.

"Dude, that's crazy... She's just missing practice, she didn't go MIA," Milton said.

"Well you can never b-"

BANG

"Uh, does anybody know what that was?" Rudy wondered.

BANG

"What in the-"

BANG

"Okay seriously, what IS that?" Milton asked.

"Guys, I think it's Kim..." Julie told them,

All of their heads snapped to the door and sure enough, Kim was there with a big sweatshirt on with the hoodie over her head. She also had yoga pants on. The only problem with this situation was that she had her head down to her phone, and repeatedly hit her head on the door. Preoccupied, she didnt seem to notice that she banged her head three times on the door.

"What's wrong with her?" Milton asked.

"I don't really know..." Eddie replied.

BANG

"Maybe we should go help her..." Rudy suggested.

The whole gang headed to the door and waited for Kim to notice them. Not lifting her head from her phone, she instantly flipped them all off and shoved her way through the door.

Well, someone was just peachy today.

"Sorry I'm late guys! I was, uh, busy. Yea, that's the reason," she stuttered.

"You could have at least called. Wait, your phone is in your hands, why didn't you answer any calls or messages?" Jack wondered. He strode over to where she was standing and waved his hand in her face, between the phone and her vision. "Hello...? Kim! Kimberly!"

"Ugh what do you want?! Shut up, I'm reading!" Kim yelled.

"Oh! I love a good book, what are you reading?" Julie asked Kim. She headed over to where Kim and Jack were standing too and peered over Kim's shoulder. "Kim, you're reading fanfiction! That's crazy!"

Kim's phone read:

K: You okay?

J: I hate you.

K: What?!

J: You lied to me!

K: What do you mean? When did I ever lie?

J: You broke our promise.

K: What are you talking about?

J: Two months ago.

K: Yes...

J: You promised me that I wouldn't fall in love with you! But guess what! I did!

(Above excerpt is the sole work of themambolove, I own nothing. All praise goes to them. Thank you.)

"Eeek! Oh goodness he actually admitted it!" cried Kim.

She started dancing around, doing her happy dance that mentally scarred her friends. At that moment, her phone unfortunately flew out of her hand and landed on the other side of the training mat. Sauntering over to it, Jack gingerly took it up and read the screen. His face at first was confused, but then it morphed into one of discomfort.

"Uh, what is this you're reading?" Jack wondered aloud. "And why do these so called 'characters' have the same first name initials as us?"

Kim lowered her head, feeling the heat rise to her cheeks. Yes, she was embarrassed to say she had developed a recent infatuation with the popular website. And she was especially embarrassed to admit that she had searched up her name and Jack's name together. She had expected to find some crazy stories that she could how Jack, and they would laugh over them together. What she didn't expect was to find romantic stories and books she would never be able to put down.

"Aw, is Kimmy blushing?" teased Jack.

She lifted her head, hoping to make eye contact with one of her other friends. Surprisingly, they weren't there. Kim listened carefully and heard shuffling behind Rudy's office door and in the locker rooms.

Oh, what great friends she had.

"Im not blushing you imbecile. Im trying to control my anger from slapping you in the face right about now," Kim snarled.

"You're hot when you're mad, you know," commented Jack. "Maybe I'm starting to love you too, like this 'J' person is loving this 'K' person." He walked past her and flicked her temple while smirking. "Get ready, I'm gonna take you down in practice."

Kim stood there, shocked at what just happened no more than a minute ago. She picked up her phone that miraculously found itself on the floor and held it to her chest, promising herself to never let Jack near it again. Swiveling her head around, she glared and shouted:

"HOBKNOCKER!"

EEEEEPPPP! I actually finished the chapter! Be proud of me y'all! I decided that updates will now be once every month, because school is seriously taking a toll on my stress level. So if I have the time I will try to update but if not, expect a chapter every month.

I just wanted to say thank you guys for sticking with me for this long, coping with my sporadic updating schedule. I haven't gotten any hate mail from you guys like I know some other authors do, and I just want to say that you guys are amazing. I couldn't have asked for better followers/readers.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter! See you soon! REVIEW REVIEW REVIEW!
