Hi everyone. Thank you all for your patience, I know you have all been waiting a long, long, time for this, and now we are here. We're finally about to begin Season 2 for my Avengers of the Multiverse series! We'll kick it off with a "special" (something akin to a movie for a tv series), which is slightly longer than a typical episode, and this is one I've been waiting to write for a while.
Now, with all that being said, let's begin.

Disclaimer: all characters and plot elements from the series of "Danny Phantom", "Kim Possible", "Ben 10", "Sym-Bionic Titan", "Generator Rex", "Secret Saturdays", and "American Dragon: Jake Long" all belong to Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and Disney.

Avengers of the Multiverse

Night of the Beyond

New York – Magus Bazaar

The marketplace for all magical creatures of New York in this Earth was in a buzz, even during the night, but not one of its typical business, but rather one of complete and total anarchy as trolls, unicorns, leprechauns, fairies, and other magical creatures lashed out at each other, fighting with fists, claws, and whatever kind of appendages they had. Any that weren't fighting and snarling at one another were screaming and running away.

Suddenly, a series of fire streams were shot down to create walls of fire and separate many of the magical creatures from one another; the source being Jake Long alongside his sister Haley, his grandfather Lao-Shi, and ally Sun, each in their respective dragon forms.

"Yo, everyone cool it!" Jake exclaimed as he and his fellow dragons set down on the ground. "Look whatever you guys are doing, it's gotta…" Jake was suddenly struck in the face by a troll with a club before flying away to avoid another strike.

"Jake, wait…!" Hayley tried to aid her brother, only to get tackled by a pair if leprechauns. "Get off me!" She spun her body around to knock the leprechauns off her as she saw her grandfather and dragon teacher in a similar predicament. Lao-Shi and Sun were back-to-back, using whatever defensive tactics they had to disarm the magical creatures assaulting them, while also avoiding any serious injuries. She flew up to help her brother as several people were throwing rocks and whatever pieces of junk they could find.

"What the hell is going on with everyone!? This is crazy!" Jake exclaimed as he beat away an incoming rock with his tail.

"You tell me! It's like they're in a total frenzy!" Hayley said as she covered Jake's rear with a fire-stream from her mouth to incarnate a wooden plank thrown in their direction.

"Get out of here you damn Huntsmen! You're supposed to be instinct!" One werewolf exclaimed in a state of fury and fear, which got both siblings' attention.

"They just say 'Huntsmen'?" Jake questioned as a goblin climbed up from the top of a nearby building and leapt down to tackle both dragons from behind, pinning them to the ground and allowing every other magical creature to pile on them.

"Jake, Hayley, hold on!" Lao-Shi flew out and smacked his tail to snap off several creatures that were piling on his grandchildren; with Sun coming in to provide aid by grabbing and throwing the remaining creatures off and allowing the younger dragons to stand up.

"They think we're Huntsmen!" Hayley told the elder dragons.

"We know, they've been doing the same thing with us, and each other." Sun said as all four circled up to see the mob not only surrounding them, but also attacking one another.

"What the heck is going on? Some kind of magic illusion? Cause I'm not hallucinating." Jake said.

"Whatever the case, we must put an end to this insanity now!" Lao-Shi stated. "Do what it takes to immobilize these people, but do not harm them!"

"You got it, G." Jake nodded as all four dragons flew up to avoid the mob gaining up on them before flying back down to deal with the mob. Jake landed in the middle of a group of magical creatures and lashed out with gut punches to knock the wind out of each of them before jumping up to grab a clothesline that hung from above and used it to tie all the creatures together.

Lao-Shi moved with such agility and grace as he slipped behind each and every magical creature he came across, striking precise chops to the back of each of their necks, causing them to fall over and be rendered immobile. A large troll came up to him to swing its club down toward him, but Lao-Shi avoided it before flying up and over, tangling his tail around the neck of the troll before coming down and flipping the troll over to land smack on his face on the ground.

Hayley was virtually impossible to grab or hit due to her size and speed, which she used to her advantage as she flew under and around the legs of all the magical creatures around her, causing them to trip up or smack into each other. Any that wasn't knocked down from their confused and maddened states was distracted enough for Sun to come in from above and strike with enough force to knock them down, but holding back to avoid causing any serious injuries.

After a few moments; the entire Magus Bazaar was calmed down as the four dragons had every injured magical creature gathered together while trying to find out what exactly happened.

"Hey, sorry to go rough on you guys; but you were all going crazy!" Jake said, looking towards a leprechaun, who blinked several times, almost as if he were waking up from a dream. For a brief moment, he saw the blurry form of a Huntsmen standing in the place of Jake, but as vision cleared he saw the red American Dragon in his true form.

"Wha… what? Y-You're the… American Dragon…"

"Yeah, that's me." Jake confirmed as he, Hayley, Lao-Shi, and Sun turned back into their human forms.

"I… I thought I saw the Huntsmen… and everyone around me was a Huntsmen…"

"Do you know how this happened?" Lao-Shi asked.

"I… I don't…" The leprechaun tried to recall. "I was just minding my own business… when I heard screaming and then… Oh no… did… did I…?" He looked to his own hands to see they had blood on them, but what was most horrifying was that it wasn't his blood.

All the other magical creatures around them appeared in a similar state, coming out of whatever they were under, and realized to their great horror and regret they had been attacking their own friends and neighbors. Though there were no casualties, it did little to comfort them.

Jake looked towards his sister, grandfather, and Sun with a concerned and serious expression, something weird was definitely going on here.

Amity Park

A truck driver was driving along the road near the side of a mountain not too far from the city. The night seemed relatively peaceful as the cars around the truck continued along their normal routine.

"Yeah, pretty crazy, huh?" The truck driver said over the radio. "Ghost Kid here's apparently got some new pals and I don't think they're ghost. Yeah, real weird stuff. Things are getting…"

However, the man gave gasp as he saw the car next to him burst into flames and transform into some sort of lizard-like monster with a skull face as it snarled at him. He looked in front to see all the other cars had undergone similar transformations; ranging from giant spiders to dinosaur-like monsters and even dragons, all snarled and roared at the man.

The truck driver gave a scream as he slammed on the gas pedal, causing his truck to accelerate as he ran drove past each of the monsters, knocking down and bashing through several that were in front of him, while also trying to get away from all the others that appeared to be chasing him from behind. He desperately scrambled for his radio, which fumbled out of his hands before grabbing it with both his hands, letting go of the steering wheel in the process.

"HELP! SOMEBODY CALL THE COPS! THERE ARE MONSTERS ON THE HIGHWAY! MONSTERS ON THE…!" His cries of distress were interrupted by a large thud and crash as his truck drove off the road and through the steel rail that separated the road from the water down below. He gave a scream as he was about to fall with his truck.

However, the truck was caught underneath by something, which halted its fall before it was brought back up to the road and set down on the ground. The door was forced open to reveal that the one who saved the driver was none other than Amity Park's own hero.

"What the hell's going on here!? Have you lost your mind?!" Danny Phantom exclaimed.

"D-Danny Phantom!" The terrified driver leapt out to wrap his arms around him. "Please! Help me! There are monsters are everywhere!"

"What monsters?!" Danny questioned.

"Those monsters!" The driver pointed to the road, only to gasp in shock and horror to see that there were no monsters there; just the wreckage of several cars that he had run off the road. Danny had already created three copies of himself that were helping as many as the injured people out as they could with their ghost powers.

The police were already arriving on the scene to provide aid as Danny looked to the driver in concern.

"What have you done?" He asked, hoping the driver would at least have some kind of answer or explanation; but he had none. All the driver had was the weight of horrifying guilt at what he just did.

Bellwood

The entire downtown area was in absolute chaos as several buildings were set on fire by ordinary men and women, who also lashed out at each other with fists and whatever handy object they could get their hands on. People were kicking and screaming as if they were fighting some sort of horrific monsters. In fact, that's exactly what they were seeing. Every person in the area saw the people next to them as hideous monsters of all shapes and sizes; they even saw cars and buildings as larger monsters as people tried to beat the cars down with rods and axes, while also throwing flaming bottles into the buildings, beginning to set them on fire.

Even police officers and firefighters who had been called in to try and restore order had also been swept up in the chaos, seeing the people around them as monsters themselves. Firefighters grabbed their axes and whatever blunt objects they had just as the police officers pulled their guns and were about to shoot.

Suddenly, a strong and magnetic force began to wrench the guns, hatches, metal rods, and whatever metallic objects the rampaging people had on them and pulled them into the air. This was the work of Ben Tennyson, in the form of one of his many alien forms, Lodestar.

"Alright, that's enough!" Lodestar stated as he removed all the metallic weapons from the area, placing them on top of a nearby building, that wasn't on fire, so that nobody could get to them before Lodestar set himself down in the middle of the crowd. "Why don't we all take a break and cool off before…"

Suddenly the crowd roared as all the people ran up to try and attack Lodestar. "Whoa! Guys! Try and calm down!" He tried to shake them off as they grabbed on to him, but they all quickly piled on top of him and tried to beat him down with their bare fists. That is until a green flash of light erupted from underneath before something fast shot up into the air from below, revealed to be Jetray.

"Okay, this has to stop now." Jetray set down on an overturned van and pressed the Omnitrix symbol on his chest to transform into one of his newest aliens: Gutrot.

"Alright, a little anesthesia outta calm things down a bit." Gutrot said. After finding the right chemical mixture inside him, the holes on his arms, shoulders, and head opened to release the anesthetic gas, which began to quickly spread throughout the entire area. The second people inhaled the gas, they all felt dizzy and began to lose all feeling throughout their body before succumbing to the anesthetic, falling to the ground in a sleep-like state.

"That takes care of the people, now for the fires." He pressed the Omnitrix again and turned into Big Chill to fly toward the nearest burning building, phase into it and begin using his ice-powers to extinguish the flames. He made sure to move quickly and check every room and floor to see there were no people or pets left inside that building before moving to the next one once all its flames were extinguished.

After some time, Big Chill had successfully put out all the fires. Some of the buildings still had a few kids and pets inside, but he was able to get them out with only minor injuries at worst. Once it was all set and done, Big Chill set down on the ground as the people begin to slowly come to. He transformed back to his human form before walking to the nearest police officer.

"B-Ben… Tennyson…"

"That's me. You wanna tell me what in the world was going on here?" Ben requested as he offered the officer a hand to get up, which he accepted.

"We got a call about a riot downtown and… that's when I began to see monsters everywhere." He explained. "What happened to them?"

"There weren't any monsters." Ben revealed, much to the officer's shock.

"What?!"

"All the people here… they were attacking each other." Ben tried to explain as best he could. "And if you're any indication, they probably saw each other as monsters too."

"Oh god…" The man breathed in horror. "Did… Did I…?"

"You didn't shoot anyone." Ben quickly said, trying to assure him. "Nobody died here, I promise, I made sure of that."

"B-But… I still… aimed my gun at… innocent people…" He fell to his knees, clutching to his head like he was having a panic attack. "My god… what have I done…?"

"It wasn't your fault." Ben told him, looking around to see everyone was in a similar state; looking toward one another in shock and shame, probably realizing they were attacking their own friends, neighbors, even family members. Clearly someone was responsible for this, and Ben was going to find out who it was no matter what it took.

Sherman, Illinois – Avengers Mansion

The entire team of young heroes consisting of Danny Fenton, Kim Possible, Ben Tennyson, Rex Salazar, Jake Long, Zak Saturday, Ron Stoppable, with Rufus on his shoulder, along with Illana, Octus in his Newton disguise, and Lance all sat together at their table in the Assembly Hall as they compared notes to what had only happened rather recently.

"Amity Park, Bellwood, the Magus Bazaar in Jake's New York, all three of these places exist in separate universes but they have one thing in common." Danny began.

"People going crazy." Ben continued for him. "They all reported the exact same thing…"

"Seeing monsters, huh?" Kim asked before turning to Jake. "You said this affected the magical creatures, but what about the humans in New York?"

"Not as far as I can tell." Jake replied. "But all those creatures said they saw the Huntsclan."

"The people in Bellwood all described seeing different kinds of monsters, but none that I recognized." Ben said.

"Same here, but a few people said they were seeing ghosts even though there weren't any there." Danny added as he looked toward Illana and Rex. "Has anything happened with you guys?"

"Nope, nothing crazy in my world… anymore, anyway." Rex said. "Well, nothing this crazy."

"Things have been pretty quiet here too." Illana added.

"We haven't heard anything from Wade about people losing it either." Ron also put in. "I mean, we live in the same world with Jake and I'm still worried, but I'm glad Middleton isn't going through this. No offense, man." He quickly said to Jake.

"It's cool, I'm glad your home is still okay." Jake assured, to which Rufus gave a squeak and a nod.

"Even if it's only contained to three locations, the fact that these similar events took place roughly at the same time, and in three different Earths, shows it's not a coincidence." Lance said. "And I can think of a group of people who might be able to pull it off."

Everyone had gravely serious expressions as they knew what Lance was implying. "Are you suggesting the Cabal would be involved in this, Lance?" Newton asked.

"I wouldn't put it past them." Lance said. "Three of our hometowns have been targeted; and while the rest of our homes have been unaffected, that could change."

"I don't know about that, Lance." Zak countered. "I mean, I can definitely see more than a few of them hitting our homes like that to get to us personally, but don't you think they would have already if New York, Bellwood, and Amity Park were all hit, roughly at the same time?"

"So even if the Cabal is involved in this, they're not attacking just to spite us." Illana deduced. "There has to be some sort of reason for it."

"Um, maybe it's because they're just really bad people?" Ron suggested. "I mean we got two mad scientists, two alien warlords, a psycho yeti with mind powers, a self-absorbed half-ghost, and an evil dragon… yeah they're bad men."

"Very bad men." Rufus squeaked in agreement.

"They're evil, but they're not chaotic evil." Danny said. "Even as narcissistic and self-absorbed as Vlad can be, he always does things for a reason; same thing with the other Cabal members."

"But what could they get from messing with people's heads like that?" Kim wondered.

"Maybe something involving magic?" Rex asked, causing everyone to look at him. "I mean, my world doesn't have any magic, except those lame-stage magicians, and it's the same thing for this Earth too." Rex pointed to the ground for emphasis. "But the rest of you guys.." He gestured toward Ben, Danny, Kim, Jake, Zak, Ron, and even Rufus. "You've all handled magic stuff before; heck half you guys got magic powers!"

"Ya know, you might be onto something, Rex." Zak said. "Pretty much all those spots have something to do with magic."

"Magas Bazaar filled magical creatures. Yeah, no introduction there." Jake said.

"I wouldn't say I have magic powers, but many of the ghosts I fought did have powers that seemed like magic." Danny thought.

"I can't even count the number of times I've had to deal with somebody using magic." Ben added.

"I am no expert when it comes to magic but based on what I've seen from past experiences; magic is another form of energy." Newton said, following their train of thought. "It would have to be something rather tremendous in size and strength in order to affect three separate worlds; but more importantly, energy does not simply vanish once it dissipates…"

"It leaves a trail!" Zak exclaimed, going along with Newton. "Even magic leaves traces behind, and we can use that to track it to its source and find out whoever or whatever's responsible!"

"Booyah! So, let's get to magic-tracing!" Ron pumped his fist as he exchanged a high-five with Rufus.

"Hold on a sec, guys." Kim told everyone. "If magic's really involved with this, and it's as big as we think it is, we might need some help. I mean, a few of us have magic powers, but none of us are real magic experts." A smirk fell on her face. "Luckily, we know somebody who is."

"You mean your friend Max, right?" Danny asked. "That guy who helped us take on the Dark Dragon and the Leviathan?"

"Yep." Kim confirmed with a nod. "He is the reincarnation of Merlin after all."

"Well, if we're talking about getting magical-back up, I can reach out to my cousin." Ben said. "Gwen's really good when it comes to all the magic stuff herself, not to mention really smart, she'd definitely be helpful with cracking this."

"I'll see if I can get my parents in too." Zak offered. "My mom's not a sorceress or a witch or anything, but she knows magic too. My dad's not in the magic-department, but he can probably figure something out too, he's just as smart as she is."

"I'll see if I can reach out to any of my allies in the Ghost Zone to see if anything's going on there too." Danny said. "If this thing can affect magical creatures as well as humans, I don't want to think what it can do to ghosts. Might even get a few people who can help too."

"Then it looks like we got a plan." Illana said. "Danny will go to the Ghost Zone; Ben will get his cousin; Kim and Ron will get Max; Zak will get his parents."

"I'll go with you guys, too." Jake said to Kim and Ron. "We can swing by and pick up Grandpa and Fu on the way."

"Good, the more the merrier." Kim agreed.

"Lance, Octus, Rex, and I will stay here at the Mansion and keep an eye out for anything unusual here." Illana continued. "Just because something didn't happen, doesn't mean it won't."

"Yeah, good idea." Rex nodded.

"Before, we talked about expanding the Avengers to combat the Cabal." Newton said. "Perhaps we can use this as a chance to re-establish some of those connections and even bring in more of our friends and families on the team."

"We should hurry." Lance said as they all stood up. "If the Cabal is behind this, then they're planning something big. The question is, what?"

"I've got a sinking feeling we'll find out… probably when it blows up in our faces." Ron said with a wince.

"Boom!" Rufus squeaked for emphasis.

Ben had arrived at a small cottage not too far from Friedkin University around his hometown of Bellwood before knocking on the front door. It wasn't long before the door opened to reveal the owner of the Cot and his best pal.

"Kevin, hey man! How ya doing?" Ben greeted with a grin.

"Not complaining." Kevin Levin smiled back as he and Ben exchanged a handclasp. "You?"

"Been busy, saving the universe and/or multiverse." Ben replied. "Is Gwen here?"

"Yeah, come on in buddy." Kevin let Ben into his cottage. It was relatively small, but quite homy. Just shortly after Ben walked in a few barks were heard as a certain alien dog entered the main room to see who was visiting.

"Zed, hey girl. Did ya miss me?" Ben was about to pet her, but Zed gave an angry growl and a bark, forcing Ben to pull his hand back with a yelp.

"Take it easy girl, he's a friend." Kevin told his dog as he scratched her behind the neck. "Sorry about that." He said to Ben.

"Yeah… she's probably still used to fighting me." Ben said with reluctance, remembering how this dog once belonged to Khyber and had been sent to hunt and kill him numerous times.

"Ben!" He heard his name being called and saw his cousin enter the room with a smile. The two wasted no time in hugging each other. "So good to see you! We don't hear from you too often!"

"Well, you're busy with college and I've got my whole thing going on, so it's cool." Ben said as they broke off. "You doing okay? How are you're classes?"

Gwen gave an annoyed sigh. "It's pretty much like saving the world. Just replace Vilgax with a pompous art history professor. What about you? Heard you've been working with a new team."

"Yeah. That Rex guy I told you about a while back, him and a bunch of other guys from different dimensions." Ben explained. "We call ourselves the Avengers…"

"Avengers?" Kevin questioned with a slight smirk. "That's a bit on the nose."

"Yeah, yeah." Ben rolled his eyes slightly. "Anyway, we got a serious problem."

"What's going on?" Gwen asked, getting serious along with Kevin.

"Did you guys hear what happened in Bellwood?" Ben asked.

"Yeah, some kind of big riot or something?" Kevin asked, taking out his smartphone. "It's all over the web."

"Well, I was there." Ben revealed, getting their attention. "Pretty much everyone was lashing out at each other, including all the police that tried to calm things down. I had to knock everyone out. Once they came too, they all said the exact same thing. They were seeing people as monsters."

"Monsters?" Gwen questioned. "Think maybe they were drugged?"

"No." Ben answered immediately. "Because the exact same thing happened in two different dimensions, at the same time." That caught Gwen and Kevin by surprise. "And it's not limited to just humans. One of my teammates is a dragon that guards his magical world… long story… and it affected them too. Apparently, trolls, goblins, you name it."

"Definitely sounds pretty crazy, even by our standards." Kevin commented.

"A lot of the team is thinking magic is involved." Ben added.

"And you need my help to find out who's causing it." Gwen was able to figure it out.

"Sorry Gwen, I know you're busy with school and all…" Ben tried to apologize, but Gwen held her hand up and smiled in reassurance.

"Ben, it's okay. Lives are at stake, and if this thing is apparently happening across several different worlds at once, it's gotta be big. So of course I'm gonna help." She said.

"Count me in too." Kevin stepped up. "I'm no magic expert, but you could still use the extra muscle."

"Thanks guys." Ben smiled. "The old team's back together again, huh?"

"Sure looks that way." Kevin smirked as he and Ben exchanged a fist-bump.

"What about your new partner, Rook? Gonna get him in on this?" Gwen asked.

"No, Rook and the rest of the Plumbers are gonna be looking over Bellwood while we're working." Ben explained. "I'll tell you guys everything you need to…"

Suddenly, a loud crashing noise was heard from outside; getting all their attention as Zed barked up a storm toward the front door.

"What the heck was that!?" Ben questioned.

"I swear, if someone messed up my ride again…!" Kevin growled as the three of them, and even Zed, all ran outside to look in surprise at the ground on the street shaking and moving around before it finally exploded upward.

Before either of them could react, the rocks and debris from the area began to roll back towards the hole as something emerged from it and began to take shape as the rocks materialized themselves to them. The result was a massive beast made entirely out of stone; it had a long serpent-like lower body coming out of the hole that was blasted out from the street, with a large muscular stone-like build to it, four large clawed arms, and reptilian-like face that gave a gravel-like roar as it set its eyes on the gang.

"Welp, looks like we're back to it." Kevin commented as he reached down to touch the sidewalk and absorb the concrete around his body like armor, while Gwen materialized glowing pink orbs in her hands, and Ben readied his Omnitrix.

Meanwhile, on the same Earth, Zak had returned to his family's compound and was briefing his parents, as well as Fiskerton, Komodo, and Zon on what had been happening.

"So, let me get this straight." Doc tried to sum up as they sat together in the building's laboratory. "There are cases of mass hallucinations taking place in three separate worlds and you suspect magic's involved?"

"I know you don't believe in that stuff Dad, but trust me, this is real and it's very serious." Zak said. "I mean come, between me being Kur and everything else, can you really chalk it up to superstition?"

"He's got you there, Doc." Drew smirked to her husband.

"I believe you, Zak." He was quick to assure his son. "If what you say is true, something bad is going on. I'm no expert at magic or anything, but lives are at stake, so of course we'll help."

"All of us." Drew added as Fiskerton, Komodo, and Zon all nodded to Zak and gave their own affirmative chirps or growls to assure Zak that they were on-board as well.

"Thanks guys." Zak smiled. "I know I can count on you."

"We're gonna need to know everything that's been happening though." Drew said. "Despite what your dad thinks, even magic has some form of logic to it. And it's best we know all the details before we make a plan."

"It's not all that much to go on, all we got our theories." Zak tried to explain.

"Hmm, perhaps if we were to take a closer look at the victims in question, we could…" Doc's theory was interrupted as the alarms around the entire house began to sound.

"What's going on?!" Zak questioned.

"Perimeter alarm!" Doc was quick to access the console, typing in a few key commands to bring up security footage on the main screen and reveal what was attacking the compound.

The screen focused on the ocean just below the cliffside of which the Saturday compound was built on. The water had begun to form a massive whirlpool before it extended upward, almost like a tornado made from water itself. Soon, the water-twister began to take a more semi-shape, resembling a massive four-armed beast made out of the water from the ocean below. Based on first look from the monitor, it was already the size of the entire building, and growing larger by the second.

Fiskerton gave a shrill scream at the sight of the water monster as everyone else looked in alarm.

"Got a scientific explanation for that?" Drew questioned her husband.

"I might find one… after we take it down!" Doc stated.

At the same time; Kim, Ron, and Jake had picked up Lao-Shi as well as Fu Dog and paid a visit to Maxmillion Ambro at his apartment loft in Go City and had brought him up on the situation as well.

"So… to sum up…" Max began as he sat in his casual clothes in his living room, a cup of tea in his hands and his cane in the other. "You got people in three worlds suffering hallucinations, magical creatures included, and you think there's a strong force of magic behind it and you need my help to find out who's responsible."

"Pretty much." Kim replied as she, Ron, Jake, and Lao-Shi all sat in the living room alongside him, with Rufus on Ron's shoulder.

"Dude, you're pretty much the biggest wizard in the world…" Ron told him.

"I wouldn't say the biggest, but I am a pretty big deal." Max interrupted with a slight smirk of pride.

"…But you gotta know something crazy is going on around here!" Ron continued while Kim and Lao-Shi simply rolled their eyes.

"Yeah, I definitely felt it." Max said, getting their attention. "A great disturbance in the Force."

"You seriously quoting movies right now, man?" Jake questioned.

"Oh, like you haven't done that in a crisis." Max shot back, causing Jake to shrug in partial defeat. "But seriously, I did feel something."

"What exactly did you feel?" Lao-Shi asked.

"Well… it's hard to put to words." Max tried his best to describe. "Some kind of energy that somehow leaked into our world. I haven't felt anything like it before, in any of my past incarnations. I don't know what it was exactly, but it seriously gave me chills. Whatever it is, it's pretty bad news."

"So… you're saying this thing 'leaked' into our world? Like when someone has to use the can?" Fu Dog asked.

"Ew! Gross, Fu!" Kim cringed along with even Ron and Jake.

"Yuck!" Rufus spat.

"What? It's a thing, like when people say they gotta take a leak? Get it?" Fu joked around with a slight chuckle but stopped when everyone else glared at him. "Alright, sue a dog for having a little fun."

"Ahem." Max coughed, getting everyone's attention. "I'm thinking more like a leak in the roof when rain comes in." He stood up slightly and waved his cane around to create a projection of two galactic spirals as he began to explain as best as he could. "Okay, this here is two different universes. And I'm just trying to explain as best as I can, I know a thing or two about dimensions, but entire realities and timelines might be a bit of an overstep even for me. But back to the main point. When it comes to alternate universes or dimensions, there's always some kind of barrier that keeps the two realties separate, like a wall."

"Is that what helps keep the magical world and everything else separated in our world?" Kim asked Lao-Shi.

"That is correct." The elder dragon confirmed. "But like any wall, there are doors and windows for which other beings can cross through, such as how dragons can live in both worlds."

"Right, well that's not the case here." Max continued. "See, these walls that separate realities and timelines are a lot tougher and don't usually have any openings unless someone really knows their way. But, in this case, whatever this energy I felt is, it's not from our universe." That got their attention again. The projection of the two universes shown a barrier in-between; but a crack appeared in the barrier as a cluster of lights began to seep through one end and out the other "Somehow, it caused it a crack in the barrier between universes and entered ours."

"And it's messing with people's heads?" Jake asked.

"I can't say for certain if it's intentional or just a side effect of something." Max snapped his fingers and caused the projection to vanish. "But based on what I felt from it… this energy is pretty bad."

"Like dark magic?" Kim asked.

"Something like that… but like I said, I've never felt it before." Max said with grave concern.

As they continued to talk, Rufus picked up an odd whiff in the air and hopped from Ron's shoulder, catching Fu Dog's attention as he saw the naked mole rat scurry across the floor and toward the window-door that led to the balcony outside. Rufus followed the odd scent and looked up through the window and saw something that made him gasp in terror.

"What is it, little guy? See some…" Fu followed Rufus' line of vision and saw what made him look so terrified. The clouds in the sky had become pitch black and began to swirl together just outside the apartment. "Hey guys, looks the weather report just came in! A hundred percent chance of bad!"

The five of them came running, with Max up front as he opened the window-door, and all entered the balcony to look up towards the shifting and swirling clouds. A dark whirlwind began to blow through the area as a dark tornado descended from the clouds. However, this tornado made no attempt to touch the ground as a cluster of smokey-wind arms emerged from its sides and even a lizard-like face could be seen from the fierce whirlwinds before giving a moan-like howl upon setting its eyes on the group.

"Tornado monster! We got a tornado monster!" Ron exclaimed.

"Okay, so straight to the action, huh?" Max smirked as he twirled his cane, spreading a cloud of sparkling dust around himself. The dust quickly cleared to reveal his mission clothes, complete with his sunglasses as he smirked. Jake and Lao-Shi followed his lead as they transformed into their dragon modes, with Kim making a martial arts stance as even Ron fired up his Mystic Monkey aura.

"Let's get this party started." Max said with eagerness.

Meanwhile; Danny Phantom had arrived in the Realm of the Far Frozen with his girlfriend, Sam Manson, currently in her ghost-form as Sam Tasma, with Tucker Foley, and even Danielle Phantom, were speaking to Frostbite about the situation.

"I see…" Frostbite said. "Very disturbing indeed."

"It might be only three worlds right now, but how long before even more are affected? Even the Ghost Zone could be in serious trouble!" Danny pointed out.

"Has anything weird been going on here recently? Heard from Dora or Clockwork or anyone?" Sam asked.

"I'm afraid not." Frostbite shook his head as he turned around and motioned for the group to follow him as they made their way deeper into his realm. "Most ghosts tend to keep to their own realms; though I am on good terms with Clockwork and Dora, I have heard nothing of any disturbances in the Ghost Zone as of yet, but as you say, that is bound to change. And I believe it may be sooner than you think."

"What do you mean? Something going on?" Tucker asked.

"Yes something… unusual." Frostbite said as he led the group into a cave and a certain tressure room, showing a familiar, glowing, chest in the center on an ice pedestal. Frostbite placed his hands on the lock that held a handprint on it, causing the chest to open and reveal a certain map that Danny recognized.

"The Infi-Map!"

"Precisely. As you all know, the Infi-Map is a near-complete map of the entire Ghost Zone. It even allows users to locate the many shifting entrances and exits from the Ghost Zone to Earth, including the man-made entrances like your family's portal. But take a look here." Frostbite said as he rolled out the map and pressed his finger on it, causing the map to light up as several holographic purple doors appeared around the group. However, several of those doors were changing from purple to a dark-red color and were beginning to shift as cracks appeared on the doors.

"Okay… I've never seen this thing before, but I'm sure that's not supposed to happen." Dani pointed out.

"You are correct, young one." Frostbite confirmed. "Several doors between the realms have become unstable, as if something has passed through that wasn't meant to."

"Something not meant to pass through?" Danny asked. "But I thought anyone can pass between the realms. Any human or ghost"

"Precisely, anyone human or ghost." Frostbite continued. "The Infi-Map has been reacting to a foreign presence that has somehow made its way through the Ghost Zone. I have attempted to investigate it and find the source, though I have yet to discover what it is, there is one thing I can confirm. This presence, is neither human nor ghost; it's not from either world."

That caught them all by surprise.

"Wait, seriously?!" Sam questioned. "It's not human or ghost?!"

"Are aliens a thing for the Ghost Zone?" Tucker asked.

"If it's not from Earth, or the Ghost Zone… Are there any other worlds between the two?" Danny asked Frostbite.

"The only one that comes to mind is the Unworld." Frostbite explained. "It is a limbo-like dimension between the two, however I do not believe this force came from there. Because nothing ever originates from the Unworld. Once something enters that realm, it is almost impossible to escape; you are trapped there forever until you inevitably fade away to nothingness."

"Well, that's not terrifying." Dani commented.

"However, while I don't know for certain what this presence is, or where it came from, there is one thing I am certain of." Frostbite said. "If it forced its way into our worlds and has caused the effects of people's minds as you have described... then this force is entirely malevolent in nature."

Before anyone else could respond, one of the yetis quickly entered the chambers. "Frostbite! Great one!" He exclaimed to them. "Something…. Outside…!"

Immediately put on alert; the group was led outside the cavern and into the icy tundra of the Far Frozen as they, along with the other inhabitants of the realm, looked in shock and even horror to see a giant mound of ice and snow coming together with a massive blizzard swirling around it.

A large serpentine-like lower body appeared stuck to the frozen ground as four massive, clawed arms appeared on the sides of the beast as a lizard-like face and head formed from the ice and snow. The monster gave an ear-splitting roar as it set its sights on the inhabitants before going on a rampage.

"Yeah… that sure looks malevolent, alright." Danny commented.

Meanwhile, back at the Avengers' Mansion, Rex sat casually on the sofa in the living room, surfing through various channels on the television with a bored expression on his face.

"You know, if you're bored with TV, you could go out on patrol." Lance commented as he walked over and stood behind Rex.

"Why? You heard the guys." Rex told him. "This world is fine, no crazy magic stuff going on. And even if there were, it's not like I know anything about magic."

"Even if there's nothing magical going on here, there might still be a crisis and we're the only ones still here." Lance told him.

"I have to go with Lance on this, Rex." Illana also walked forward. "I get you're bored, and I'm a little on edge myself with nothing to do, but we still gotta be on our toes. Anything can happen."

Rex gave a sigh as he turned off the television. "Of course, you're right." He said, standing up. "I've just never been the planning-type guy. I'm the type of guy you call when there's a bad guy who needs smashing."

"Maybe you should try planning." Lance said in a somewhat critical tone of voice. "It might help you stand out as more than just a living weapon."

"Oh right, like I'm gonna be taking advice from Mr. Loose Canon right here." Rex criticized, resulting in Lance glaring; but before an argument could start, Illana was quick to push them both away from the other, standing in-between them.

"Okay, okay, that's enough out of both of you!" She broke up. "We're here, and we're together. So instead of fighting or criticizing each other, we should focus on working together."

"For what though?" Rex questioned. "It's not like anything's happening right now…"

"Guys!" Newton suddenly appeared in front of them, using his super speed, causing a powerful draft to blow past them. "Something is happening right now!"

The three just stared at him for a moment in bewilderment before responding. "What's going on?" Lance questioned.

"There are multiple explosions just outside the mansion!" Newton revealed.

In less than a second, all four of them ran out the front door of the mansion and through the main gate to see several parked cars in the street were suddenly exploding, the remains catching fire that seemed to burn brighter and brighter with each passing second.

"Octus, were there anyone inside those cars?!" Illana exclaimed with worry.

"No, they were all empty. And the streets are clear, so there are no casualties at the moment." Newton replied, causing Illana to breathe a sigh of relief.

"So, why'd they all blow up?" Rex questioned.

"I'm uncertain." Newton used his robotic vision to scan the dozens of cars that were still burning after the explosions stopped. "I am not detecting any incendiary devices in the vehicles, nor any malfunctions… although there is an unusual energy signature being emitted by the flames."

Suddenly, the fires from the burning cars began to rise and grow before streams from the flames moved through the air and combined together in the middle, forming a large sphere of fire, almost like a miniature sun was forming in the middle of the street. The flames from the cars had all died down as they traveled through the streams and toward the sphere, which then began to take shape. A series of arms, four in total, appeared along the sides of the sphere as the flames touched the ground, almost like a robe of sorts as the phenomena grew to be about twenty feet tall. At the top, a mound of flame formed and molded itself, taking a more distinct shape of a reptilian like head before roaring into the air.

"Well Rex, still bored?" Lance questioned as he activated his Manus armor, with Illana doing the same for her Corus armor, and Newton dropping is disguise to reveal his true form as Octus.

"No, cause things are about to get hot around here." Rex stated as he formed his Smack Hands.

Done.

I'm sure many of you have noticed that I borrowed heavily from the intro to "Justice League Dark" here but let me make it clear that while this story has a similar theme to it with mystery and magic, it's not going to be a copy of the movie or comics as the main cast is taking action here with some additional help. (We're even finally introduced to Gwen and Kevin, and I've been waiting forever to bring them into this story). I want all my stories to be unique in their own way, so they don't seem like a carbon copy of either DC or Marvel.

So, the Avengers have noticed something sinister and magical affecting three of their worlds. But just before they could take action and gather their allies; they are attacked by some form of elemental monsters (Ben, Gwen, and Kevin are fighting an Earth creature; Zak and the Saturday family are about to face off with a Water monster; Kim, Ron, Jake, Lao-Shi, and Max are confronted by a beast made from Air; Danny, Sam, Tucker, Dani, and the Far Frozen are now fighting an Ice monster; and of course, Rex, Illana, Lance, and Octus are about to square off with a Fire beast)

Note: These elemental monsters are my own original creations. And the character Maxmillion Ambro belongs to Aaron12's KP fics.

I hope you guys enjoyed the first chapter of this Avengers special, as there is plenty more action, mystery, and surprises to come.
