Here's chapter 4!

She breaths in a long, drawn out breath, letting the fresh sent of morning dew fill her. How long she has been out here, she's not sure. After waking in a cold sweat in the middle of the night due to a nightmare she now can't remember, she couldn't go back to sleep. So, Azula went to the one place she has felt the slightest bit of comfort at. She wasn't sure why the training platform calmed her so much. It just did. She tried not to think about it too much. Too many things have escaped her understanding lately and she didn't want to dwell on it. At least not right now. She just wanted to enjoy the sun rise.

She pulls her knees into her stomach, hugging them tightly, as she waits for the pink and orange sky to change into blue. Chirping of crickets slowly begins to die out and are replaced with the songs of birds. Closing her eyes, she lets the first rays of the sun warm her. Soaking them in, she can feel her core heat up. Almost immediately, something is waking inside her. If she was cold at all before, she isn't anymore. Her entire body in on fire. And she likes it.

"Azula?" A familiar voice pulls her from her trance. Opening her eyes, she swings her head around and greets a pair of grey eyes walking toward her.

"Good morning Aang," She beams as she stands up. He pauses for a moment and a soft smile reaches his face.

"Good morning Azula," He greets in return. "You look like you're in a good mood,"

And she is. She doesn't know why, but she feels.. empowered. Like she could do anything. Her whole being felt bright as the sun.

Realizing she hasn't answered him, she nods, her face growing brighter.

He just chuckles slightly before asking, "So what were you doing out here?"

"Watching the sun rise,"

He nods as he begins stretching his arms, pulling them over his head. It's at that moment she realizes he doesn't have a shirt on.
His well defined stomach giving off a slight glow in the morning light.

"Azula?"

"Huh?" She looks up to see Aang's raised brow. Her cheeks turn a bright shade of red as she realizes she has been caught staring.

"I was just saying that breakfast is inside if you're hungry," He smirks. She nods before heading towards the door.

When she realizes he isn't following her though, she stops. "Aren't you coming?"

"You go ahead I'll be there in a minute," He says before turning back to his stretching.

She begins to continue inside, but stops as something catches her eye. A scar placed in the middle of Aang's back.

There's that feeling again. Like she should know something she doesn't. The more she stares at the pink scarred flesh the weirder she feels. Like it holds some sort of significance to her. It's obvious to her that something bad had to have happened in order for him to get it. Thinking about what could have happened to leave him with such a mark causes her chest to tighten. A feeling she recognizes as guilt washes over her. But why should she feel guilty? It's not like she did that to him. Right?

She shakes her thoughts away and heads inside to the kitchen. Upon reaching the dining table, she sees her breakfast is already laid out for her.
Azula also notices Chio nibbling on a bowl of fruit while going over some papers. Nervously tugging at the ends of her hair, Azula takes her seat across from her. Chio had made it clear that she wasn't too fond of her. Not that Azula was too fond of her either.

By the time Aang finally joins the two girls, Chio is finishing up her breakfast, while Azula has barely touched hers. Nearly two bites in, she realized she wasn't that hungry. So, she began to push her food around, taking a sip of her juice here and there.

As Aang starts on his breakfast, Chio goes over the documents she had been looking at. They get in deep conversation, talking about stuff that might as well be a foreign language to Azula. She knew that Aang was an important person by know, though she still had no idea what it was he did or what his status was.

Knowing she wouldn't be able to follow their discussion, she went back to playing with her food.

As some sort of animal takes shape on her plate, she hears Aang, "Azula?"

Looking up from her creation, she sees an amused look on his face.

"Hmm?"

"Ya know, if you're not hungry, you don't have to eat," He says, slight laughter in his voice. Feeling her cheeks grow crimson, she stops messing with her food and folds her hands in her lap, nodding at him in acknowledgement. There's a pause in the air that causes Azula's stomach to flare up in a frenzy, and it's a long moment before anyone speaks.

Finally, Chio clears her throat, "Um, Avatar Aang, shouldn't you be heading out now?"

"Oh, yes, I almost forgot," He says as he rises.

"Where are you going?" Azula asks, almost a little too quickly.

"I have some errands I need to run. I'll be back later today. Chio, you can stay here,"

Azula notices the slight fall of Chio's expression as he turns to leave, clearly disappointed in having to stay behind. And Azula was fairly sure she knew why too. One, Chio had a crush on Aang. Two, Chio, for whatever reason, hated Azula. Now, maybe hate was a strong word, but Azula was sure it wasn't that far off by the way Chio was discreetly, or so she thought, glaring at her.

"Um, Aang?" Azula calls out. He stops at looks at her, a smile on his face. "Do, you think it would be okay if I came along?" She had no idea what Aang's errands were or how fun they would be, but regardless, Azula would rather be with Aang, the one person who was nice to her, than alone in the house all day while Chio glared at her.

Aang's smile falters a little. It takes a moment before he responds, clearly thinking about whether it was a good idea or not.

He forces the smile back as he responds, "Sure, why not,"

Azula smiles as she quickly gets up from her seat, noticing that Chio is no longer attempting to hide her anger with her. Not wanting to have as bad a day as yesterday, Azula does her best to ignore Chio, shakes off that strange feeling she has in her gut, and follows Aang.
