Just as a warning, this chapter gets racy and really shouldn't be read by anyone underage after Waige returns to the Garage:
Paige had already been impressed with Walter at the Garage but once they had arrived at Richard's he just totally amazed her. He bantered with people a bit and they seemed to completely accept him. Walter's normal brusque personality when people either couldn't keep up with him or when they did something he considered stupid never came out. He was almost patient, he guided and made sensible recommendations to help the person so they wouldn't be as confused next time.
He picked up immediately when one of the women hit on him and he quickly shut them down as he pulled Paige over to him and put his arm around her.
"This is the love of my life, Paige." He introduced her firmly and with love. And it squelched every advance made.
She was further impressed that while she got a goodly number of looks from everyone they met, not one of them seemed interested in offending Walter by hitting on her.
The job hadn't been a normal Scorpion job which surprised Paige. She didn't know that Walter had sold two processes to Richard and Walter had to provide tech support when things went wrong. And thankfully it turned out not to be as bad as Richard had explained to Walter. It didn't take him long to handle some rather creative mistakes and then he reset everything. He made sure the people understood why what they had done was wrong, but he did it with almost a kind of kindness and humor. He stood behind them for thirty minutes while they worked and watched. He finally nodded and gave them a thumbs up.
Paige went to the restroom while Walter got Richard's supervisor to sign off the paperwork. Walter called Homeland and got them to give him permission for a detour with the helicopter so he could take Paige down by the beach. Walter smiled as Paige came back out. They shared a tender kiss and then they made their way out to the helicopter.
"Since this job didn't take as long as I thought and our reservation is a couple of hours from now, I want to take you someplace." Walter told her after lifting off.
"That's fine with me Walter." Paige told him sweetly. "I've got to be honest with you Walter, back there. It was just so impressive how you dealt with everything. I doubt if I could have handled things that well." She reached over and they held hands for a moment. "And I still can't believe this, riding around in a helicopter with you. It is such an amazing experience."
Walter grinned and nodded.
"Back in April when I was working on a job for Richard, Cabe had to leave to go to Homeland. Richard decided to have his pilot take me home rather than have a driver take me in a car. The difference of riding in the co-pilot's seat as compared to the passenger area is remarkable. I had to try it, it has been so amazing. Maybe one day we can sit down and I can teach you the basics." Walter grinned at her. "On one of the jobs as part of my compensation Richard used his clout to help me buy this. Saved almost thirty-five percent." Walter told her.
"I'd imagine the biggest cost is in upkeep and fuel." Paige smiled.
Walter nodded.
"Thankfully Ted is a master mechanic and engineer. Like Happy, he does impeccable work. So that cost is minimal." Walter smiled.
"Are we going to the beach?" Paige asked as she was puzzled at their direction.
"The cliffs to the south of where we launched Megan's rocket. I thought it would be nice to sit and enjoy the ocean view for a little while before dinner." Walter told her.
Paige grinned and nodded.
Their time on the cliff was magical. Walter connected to the internet with his phone and had it playing soft romantic music. They danced about in the grass for nearly an hour before his alarm went off. They both smiled but sighed a little. It was time to go to the restaurant for dinner. Paige had really enjoyed being out in the real sun and feeling the fresh salt air on her skin.
Dinner had been a complete surprise. It was the most exclusive restaurant. It sat on top of the US Bank Tower. The 71Above sky lounge was magnificent. The panoramic view from seventy one stories above LA was breathtaking. Richard had used his clout for the reservations. And to ensure Walter could use their helipad on top of the restaurant so they didn't have to switch to a car.
Paige enjoyed two glasses of wine while they were there and Walter got the bottle to take with them.
As they left the rooftop Paige frowned.
"Are we not going home?" Paige asked.
"Not yet, I got a surprise for you." Walter told her with a smile at her calling the Garage home.
Paige grinned.
"You've surprised me a lot already Walter." Paige told him as she reached over and rubbed his arm.
"Well for this one, I had done some work for a client and normally they are closed at 5 pm, but as a favor to me, we are getting a special time to enjoy the place." Walter told her.
Paige looked curious.
"Well, where are we going?" Paige asked, a little anxious.
Walter chuckled.
"You'll have to wait and see." Walter told her.
Paige pouted a little but Walter kept quiet.
Paige looked where they seemed to be headed and her eyes got big.
"Are you kidding me? We're going to the Huntington Library?" Paige asked excitedly.
Walter nodded even as they came in to land in the vacant parking lot.
They saw a young woman standing outside waiting. She waved as they came down. She moved down the steps as the engine began shutting down.
Paige was quick to get out of the helicopter.
"Mr O'Brien, we're so happy to extend this time to you and your date. Please, enjoy the facility. If you need anything just use this phone, press zero and you'll be connected to me." She told them.
Walter thanked her even as they moved on up the steps.
The Huntington Library was one of Paige's favorite museums and they indulged in every exhibit. Walked the landscape, enjoying it, the statues and architecture until just before midnight. Paige had taken the wine with them when they went in and she had finished the other three glasses of wine the bottle held while sitting in the garden. The young woman met them as they came back in to leave. She smiled as she saw them lift off.
They came down to the Loft as quietly as they could and they found Cabe and Allie standing in the living room waiting for them.
"Well, from the smile on your face I'm guessing the date was a hit?" Cabe teased Paige.
Paige nodded enthusiastically.
"It was wonderful from start to finish. Even the time at Richard's was amazing. Walter just impressed and surprised me so much." Paige told him as they hugged. "How is Ralph?"
"Wore out and asleep, finally." Cabe laughed.
"Wore out?" Paige frowned.
"He wanted to know more about the weight room so I took him down and showed him how to work all of the machines. I think he might have someone special he wants to impress." Cabe told her.
"You guys sleep well, we'll see you in the morning." Allie told them as she kissed Paige's cheek and they left.
Paige turned and excused herself while she went to her bathroom to freshen up. She returned wearing her short robe. She smiled as she stepped into Walter's arms and they hugged tightly.
"Thank you for an amazing evening Walter." Paige said softly into his ear.
"You're very welcome Paige. Thank you for making it so wonderful for me." Walter told her softly as he pulled her tighter against him.
"Does the date have to end now?" Paige asked even as she licked and then bit Walter's neck.
Walter inhaled sharply. He hadn't factored this into their date.
"I-I, I don't know. I don't think it has too. If you don't want it too." Walter stuttered which brought a grin to Paige's face. Her nerd was still in there. Her grin turned mischievous as she felt a certain change in Walter's body.
Paige pulled back and looked up to Walter's face.
"You've really been dressing a lot nicer. How much did this shirt cost you?" Paige asked as she ran her finger down his tie.
"I-I, I'm not sure, I believe about three hundred dollars." Walter told her, puzzled. The shift from her ministrations on his neck to his wardrobe was a mystery.
"Oh, that's too bad." Paige told him. Using her fingers from both hands she grabbed hold of his shirt on both sides of his tie. With a hard yank She felt the shirt give. Walter's mouth opened in disbelief as he watched the buttons fly off.
"Paige?" Walter said, a bit alarmed. But then moaned in pleasure as her lips pressed into his chest, just above where the v in the t-shirt ended.
This hadn't been part of his plan but Paige obviously decided it needed to be added. Walter's bedroom was much closer and they stumbled their way towards the door as their fingers caressed and felt their way about the other's body.
Walter wasn't sure Dr Evans would be happy about this, but that thought died as Paige shoved him against the back of his door. Walter swallowed hard as Paige leaped to close the distance between them. Her lips crashed into his and soon their tongues were caressing each other.
Paige quickly undid his tie and pulled it off from around his neck. She smiled as she felt his hands grip the cheeks of her arse. Her hands returned to his shirt and she forced the shirt and jacket back and off his shoulders. She yanked firmly on the sleeves and pulled them over his hands despite the cufflinks.
Walter's hands moved back over and down to slip under her short robe. He dragged his hands back up the short distance of her thighs and his eyes went wide not feeling any form of panties. Walter gripped her arse tightly and pulled Paige up. Paige let out an excited yelp and brought her legs around his hips and locked her ankles around each other.
Walter took four steps and bent forward. Laying Paige down on top of his bed. He had gone down with her. As if he had any other choice in the matter with her legs locked around him. Their lips once again locked as their tongues spoke their love of the other.
Paige was pulling his t-shirt out of his pants even as Walter yanked on Paige's robe sash and then pulled her robe open.
Six long months of absence poured out of the lovers. Walter started by kissing his way down Paige's body. He paid homage to her in every single way he remembered she loved. After her first orgasm they fought a bit as Paige wanted him buried inside of her but Walter wasn't ready to stop pleasuring her and so they tussled a while longer as Walter continued.
Paige growled after she recovered from her second orgasm and made her desire known undeniably to Walter.
Walter grinned but acquiesced to her desire and he moved back up kissing along her body only to be caught by her legs as they locked about his waist.
They grinned at each other and it turned into a long moan as Walter slipped slowly between her soft folds and up deep inside of her.
From that point on, if he had been forced to give an accounting of what happened after, he would have failed. There were flashes of the things they did, but it all flowed in such an animalistic way that beyond feeling such love and passion for and from Paige it was a blur, even to his eidetic memory.
They'd barely been asleep an hour when Walter's alarm went off. They both nearly bolted from the bed in shock. After looking about and realizing that it hadn't been a dream Paige moved quickly into his arms.
"I suppose I better go back to my room before Ralph wakes up. I want to be sure he's okay with us trying this again before he finds out we are together again." Paige sighed.
Walter smiled whole heartedly. He had been very worried that once the passion ran its course that Paige would change her mind.
Ralph knocked gently on the door of his Mom's room.
"Mom? Are you awake?" Ralph called quietly as he listened.
Not hearing anything he gently turned the knob and since it wasn't locked, he opened the door a little. He frowned seeing her bed was already made. His head turned quickly as he heard his Dad's door knob jiggle. He shot down the hall and around the corner to where the exit for the roof was. He carefully looked around the corner and he saw his Mom step backwards out of his Dad's room. She was wearing her short robe and he smiled. She only wore it when she spent time with Walter before they broke up.
He watched his Mom walk dreamily down the hall and enter her room. As the door closed behind her he grinned as he doubled up his fist.
"Yes." He said quietly in triumph. He counted to twenty before carefully moving back down the hallway to the front room. Ralph paused as he saw something on the floor. He bent over and found it was a dark blue button. He frowned and then he saw another and another. He counted six of them in total. He grinned as he remembered the shirt his Dad had worn when he left with his Mom. He turned and sat down on the loveseat as he began playing his video game and waited.
"Good morning Ralph." Walter said as he finally came out of his bedroom after a shower and getting dressed.
"Good morning Dad. Is Mom okay? I knocked but she didn't answer." Ralph teased innocently. "I needed a permission slip signed for school."
"Oh, uh, yes, I'm sure she is fine. We got home late last night, probably just tired. Since I'm your Dad, I suppose it is okay if I sign it." Walter said nervously.
"Thanks Dad. I sat it on the dining table." Ralph told him.
Walter nodded and stepped over to the table. He read it as his fingers finished hooking the cufflinks in his shirt.
"Job fair?" Walter questioned as he looked to the front room at Ralph.
"Yeah, they want to be sure the kids have some idea of all the possible jobs available. I mean, I'm not trying to brag, but I already know what I'm going to do for a living." Ralph said as he continued his assault on the vampire's castle.
Walter grabbed his pen and signed his name and relationship to Ralph.
"And what is that?" Walter finally asked as he stood back up.
"Your research partner of course. You were going to pay me right?" Ralph joked.
Walter grinned.
"Oh, I thought maybe we'd work out room and board for it." Walter teased back.
Ralph grinned looking back over his shoulder.
"Throw in medical, dental and vision and you got a deal." Ralph told him.
Walter laughed.
"You drive a hard bargain Ralph. But I accept your offer." Walter told him as he walked over and grabbed Ralph into a hug.
"So when are we going to tell Grandma and Grandpa?" Ralph asked.
"Oh wow, that is a good question. I hadn't even considered that these last two weeks. I'll tell you what. I'll call Mom later and tell her we need to talk to them together on the computer. And when you get home from school we'll call them. How about that?" Walter asked.
"Sounds good to me Dad. What about when we can go visit them?" Ralph pushed.
Walter laughed.
"Well we got a lot of work lined up for a while. Let me work on that and talk to your Mom. Deal?" Walter asked.
"Deal." Ralph told him as they bumped fists.
Greetings! I hope this finds you all well! I will say this story seems to be doing so much better in the metrics! Each chapter is getting more hits the first day than the one before so I'm really happy about that! Just one more chapter to bring this leg of the story to a close.
Guest - Thank you! Sorry, your comment came in while I was getting last chapter ready to post and missed it. The rooftop was too much too soon for Walter. While he does have social time up there with employees he still sees it as his personal space. And he wasn't ready to share it with them. Or more accurately with Toby and Sly. The health center is on the Garage floor and if they were to come over he could simply disappear either into his office/research area or up in the Loft. Yes, I wasn't too sure about the sharing of the profits with them, but since they were technically employees he had too. Or at least that is what he said.
Railman - So glad you liked Carol! hehe I based her on a friend of the wife and I. She's a very no nonsense type woman when it comes to business, our friend was also trained in sword fighting and Karate. In real life she once worked as a trainer for actors in using swords in their roles. So Toby better watch his P's and Q's! lol A new story I am working on is, in part, going to try tackling Toby's behavior on the show, shining a different light on to it. Just finished the chapter where it really comes out and sent it to one of my test readers to get input. *nervous* Psychology isn't my forte.
Lucy - Thank you! Yep, I was worried about this story but it finally comes around. lol I'm updating the tag now to show Walter and Paige in a relationship. I honestly didn't think they would come back together. hehe Seems a lot of you enjoyed Toby's reception. LOL Okay, I did too!
Marti - Thank you, so glad you are enjoying this version of Walter! I keep wanting to write a "good" story for Toby, but with all the things he did in the show it just makes it hard. At least for a fix it. We'll see!
Margaret - Thank you! Glad you are enjoying it! Yep, Carol definite got Toby's attention! lol Paige said she isn't really obsessing with Florence, it is a work in progress of getting past all the things she has felt thanks to others in her life. But she says she is fully committed to restoring their relationship.
Supergirl - Walter really was, well except for the one mistake with the dark web. hehe Looks like things between Walter and Paige are going very well! hehe You are welcome and thank you for doing this! I'm still a rock when it comes to other languages. At one time I was very mediocre with Japanese. But after transferring from my ship back to the States and then getting out of the service I didn't have much need for it. I still remember a few words but that is about it.
2LawDog - Thank you! Carol says thank you too! hehe Toby said not to encourage her. lololol Funny thing is that is what Walter said about Cabe. lol
LouBe - Hrmm...I can see if I can sketch up a floor plan if you want! lol Sometimes on the show you didn't know if you are looking at the Loft or the Garage. But the floor was quite big in reality. It was probably 30 feet from the front wall with the door to the stairs up to the loft. There was another 30 feet that the kitchen was part of and close to another 30 feet before the back wall. And was probably pretty close to 90 feet or more across the other dimension...so 90'x90' with some variations.
To the Adventure! -Tim
