Chapter 42
Two weeks passed.
Yuuji was resting. Suiryu had kept close to his side just in case of an emergency and Yua was always on standby along with Choso.
Yet, one afternoon, Yuuji's stomach went off.
Suiryu snapped up as Yuuji appeared to be in great pain, he was roaring aloud to it all!
"Bro! What's wrong? Tell me!"
'So… painful…' he moaned. 'My stomach… it hurts!'
Suiryu assumed it was time. He rushed out of the gazebo and shouted. "MOM!"
Despite how embarrassed he was, his call didn't go unheeded.
The clouds darkened in the domain, she came out of the pitch black sky and landed before him in her dragon form. "Where!?" she demanded of Suiryu.
He pointed to the gazebo made, she didn't hesitate to tear the thing apart and pull Yuuji out!
She did a quick inspection of him before nodding her head, then, the strangest thing happened, she placed Yuuji on his back and then… she sat on him!
Suiryu froze. "Are you not crushing him!?" he demanded of her.
She only snickered. "I've hatched eggs like this, your brother is no egg, he's stronger than that…" she then paused and glared down at Suiryu. "Why haven't you finished your training?"
He froze.
For the past two weeks he has tried to take in what remains of Ryujin's soul. But, every time he tries, it painful.
"You have until Yuuji finishes his meal to absorb Ryujin. For you two are going to be on the same path."
He swallowed his pride.
Focusing, Suiryu went into a deep meditation. He has to find a way to do this, since after all… it's a little complicated.
The moment he enters this state, he is confronted by two powers. One, Sukuna and the other is the dragon.
Yet these two energies, he cannot get to cooperate. He feels he has to abandon one to absorb the other. Every time he tries to let go of his curse energy, the dragon's soul forces it back. Each time he tries to absorb the dragon, Sukuna's soul is repelling it.
"What the hell do you want me to do!?" he shouted at the two powers. "Either one of you are allowing me to do what is needed, so… WHAT THE HELL!"
The two energies before him appeared to have stopped, they… they began to meld into one another!
"Since when the hell could it do that?!" Suiryu demanded. But then, he tried again. Slowly, he took in the soul and energy. Instantly, his body felt as if it were being torn into two. He endured it, since after all, no pain, no gain right? However, the longer it went, the more difficult it was to take in.
"No more… stop… we need… to stop… AAAHHHH!"
He woke up roaring in pain!
His body felt as if it were on the brink of shattering now. But he continued to endure. "Yuuji… where…"
Peering about, he found Yuuji, but in a very overstuffed state. It's like those horror movies where people bloat out, all you see is their face and the rest is merely a distended body with no use! "Yuuji…." He whispered as he tried to get closer to him. "Bro… are… are you okay?" he called gently.
But there was no reaction out of him.
"Give him time, he's just processing the last of the milk"
Suiryu jumped, not realizing the dragon was still here! She took a closer look at him, her eye bore into Suiryu as he felt it pierce his soul. "Hmm, just as I thought…" she said gently.
"What do you…" but he paused as he saw movement.
There was a small wiggle coming from Yuuji, his body was moving too and thou until the mouth opened.
It was a little disturbing, even for Suiryu as he saw another face come out of the mouth! But, it was Yuuji!
He continued to push, as if he were shedding his own body away, and tried time and time again until his arm broke free, from there he was pulling himself out of the flesh prison. Suiryu wanted to help him, but the dragon stopped his actions. "He has to do this himself, he has done so thus far has he not?" she asked.
Still, he wanted to help him.
It took an hour for Yuuji to break free.
He fell on to the grass, ass naked, but was quickly covered up thanks to the dragon. But now, what do they do with what he molted from?
Staring at it, it was damn disturbing to have a mound of flesh just sitting there with a face on it. However, Suiryu froze as the dragon pierced it with her talon and ate it in one gulp!
"The deed is done… now… all that remains is for the fusion to happen… I wish you both well." She vanished just like that.
And yet… he began to feel sick.
Suiryu's body began to revolt; he froze as familiar black markings started forming on Yuuji, the same marks that appeared from when the body thief blew up within him…
Worst still, Suiryu peered down and saw the same marks started to show up on his body as well…
