Angel Wings

Amy: Oh ma gawd, I've been gone for so long my faithful reviewers!

Dusk: Ignore her. Her parents grounded her for getting a C+ in Biology. In fact, she's typing this in secret, and updates may be few and far between now and Christmas.

Amy: Literally. Like Dusk said, screwed up, got grounded, and now I haven't been as faithful as I could've been to you all. So, please forgive me, I'll try to update as quickly as possible as soon as I can get the chance too.

Eleanor: And now for the disclaimer~! Amy47101 does not own pokèmon!

"I'm not sure why, b-but our boss ordered us to change them back over to Angels, even his son, Devlin!" exclaimed the first scientist.

"Then what was the point of placing Demon blood in us if you were just going to change us back?" I asked, leaning casually against the wall, as if I was discussing the weather with them. Neither took their eyes off my hand, in which my weapons stood, shining like the face of death.

"B-because the scientists in charge of that experiment were never instructed to put Demon blood in all of you!" said one scientist. "Only the one who was the Angel of Death. But they leader went mad with discoveries, and wanted to put Demon Blood in every child to see if they would survive to Demons."

"So all those children...?" I asked, trailing off, demanding they finish my hypothesis.

"They say young children have the purest form of innocence. If they were injected with just the Angel Blood, then they would have possibly grown into the heavenly beings you were, minus the crazy powers." he paused and took a shaky breath. "But since the lead scientist went mad and mixed the Demon Blood in with the Angel Blood..." he trailed off. I socked him in the face.

"You're telling me I watched hundreds of children die for no apparent reason whatsoever?" I demanded. "Did you know I still have nightmares about that? Did you know that I've met grieving families who lost their loved ones? Did you know that?!" I lowered my voice, and calmed myself. I couldn't afford to get discovered now.

"I didn't know! I wasn't there! I was trying to come up with ways to inject pokèmon genes into normal children!" I socked him again.

"Wrong answer." I growled. "My friend Eleanor's little brother has Meowth ears now. Is that your fault? 'Cause I'm already pissed off as it is, and I will kill you." They gulped. "I want the antidote. Give it to me."

"I have some on me. Our Boss told us to keep it on us."

"Which pocket?" I demanded.

"Lab coat pockets. They should be enough for the rest of you."

"Are you lying?" I demanded. He shook his head vigorously.

"I swear I'm not!" he exclaimed. Once again reaching through the shadows, I felt a small package, and brought it out. I glanced at it, and turned to my partner Pokémon.

"Raven? Is it legit, or do I need to punch that son of a bitch again?" Raven sniffed at it, and grinned.

"(A hundred percent legit.)" she grinned. I looked at the viles in my hand. There were eleven. Some were empty, which I supposed they gave to my friends along with Devlin/Gabriel. They were tinted different colors. I turned towards the scientist.

"Which one is for the Angel of Shadows?"

"The gray one." he answered immediately. I didn't respond, simply took the vile, uncorked it, and tilted my head back to drink it. Once it was down, I didn't feel any different. I glanced at him from behind my hair.

"Are the effects immediate, or will it take a while?"

"It'll take a while, about an hour or so." he said.

"Raven, take this back to the others. Tell them to drink it, and then meet me here."

"(Roger!)" she exclaimed before taking the case in her mouth, and running off. Slowly, I turned back towards the two scientists, and with one quick karate chop to the neck, they were unconscious.

"Now to store them somewhere..." I muttered to myself. I dragged them over to a closet, opened it up, and shoved them inside. Totally cliché, I know, but I suppose it would work for now.

I was flying, flying through the air, without a care in the world. Wynter, the real Wynter, was beside me, flying next to me. She was laughing. The sound was beautiful. I was sure we were either dead or on the verge of being dead. Who cares? She broke through that Demon thing, and now we're together again.

Suddenly, we were in a valley, under a cherry tree in full bloom. The blossoms fell lightly around us, landing like pink snow. Wynter was in my lap, her head resting on my chest, my arms around her waist.

"We should cherish this time together, I don't know how much we'll have left." she whispered quietly. I nodded slowly, burying my nose into her hair. Cranberries.

"I missed you." I said.

"We should cherish this time together, I don't know how much we'll have left." she repeated. I stared at her curiously.

"Wynter, you already said that." I smiled. "Are you messing with me or something?"

"We should cherish this time together," she said, looking up at me. My mouth fell open, seeing that she was once again Demon Wynter. Crimson eyes of malice stared up at me, a sick smirk on her face. Slowly, blood began to dribble from her mouth. "I don't know how much we'll have left!" she spat, the blood coming from her mouth, all over my face.

In a rush of panic, I pushed her off me, wiping the blood away from my face, staring at her in panic. Suddenly, the tree we were sitting under was ablaze, the grass brown, the sky blood red. The cherry petals fell as ashes instead of flowers, this dream becoming a nightmare.

I whirled back around to Wynter, and saw that she was gone.

I was breathing heavily. Was I asleep? How? Why? Where was I?

I looked around the dark void, and saw statues. At first, I thought they were the statues in Cocona ruins, but no. They were wearing ranger uniforms, they were gold, and finally, they were in a perfect circle. They were... them. Wynter and Dawn and Forrest and Eleanor... was that Devlin?

They were standing separate of each other, nameplates and titles under each of them. I looked at Devlins. Gabriel Sun, Angel of Death. Sun? Carters last name was Sun... was Devlin related to him in some way? And is what Tori and Eleanor said about 'Gabriel'... was that true?

I noticed a strange glass orb in an indent near his form, black aura going through some sort of clear wire attached to the item. This must've been the Angel of Deaths' freaky weapon.

I looked at the one next to it. Eleanor Moon, Angel of Healing. Her sword was also in an perfect indent, silver aur running through it. The next plate had Carters name, then Dash, then Aqua, then Flare. My name... And then Dawn, a frozen statue. Dawn Ford, Angel of Psychics, her spellbook in a perfect nook, purple aura running through it. Dusks name, no statue, Forrest Brooks, Angel of Nature, like the others, his flute was in a perfect nook, green aura was flowing through wires. Finally, I came to the final statue, and my heart sank.

Wynter Rose, Angel of Ice

I cried, seeing that she was standing there, frozen solid like a statue. Her eyes held no life, only frozen orbs staring straight ahead, hand outstretched. I placed my own hand against hers' feeling just cold metal. But it was her. They turned her into some statue, for it was to perfect for it to be a copy. No one could ever copy someone as perfect as her.

I turned, looking up at the machine that the clear wires were attached to. It was relatively simple, a glass dome over a plate that seemed to shine with each color of the angel in each statue form. I wanted to instantly beat the thing to a pulp.

Suddenly, Dusk burst into the room, fury in his eyes. I glanced at him.

"Hey Dusk!" I exclaimed. He ignored me. "Dusky boy!" I said. No response. Was he purposefully ignoring me?

I watched as he looked at the machine, and then turned back to Dawn. He didn't seem forlorn over the fact that his girlfriend was a statue like I was. He looked her book, and ripped it from the indent. The golden stuff that made the intelligent girl a statue suddenly broke, and she fell to her knees.

Taking shaky breaths, she looked up, and I think nearly had a heart attack seeing Dusk. She was crying, and Dusk slowly brought her up into a hug. I think he was crying too. I smirked. Totally using this as blackmail.

Wait a second... if all I had to do to bring Wynter back to normal was to get the weapon out of the indent... why aren't I doing that too?!

I whirled around from Dusk and Dawns little make-out session(more blackmail!), and reached down to put my hands on the staff. I nearly died when my hands went through it. I tried again. My hands passed through it again. Was I seriously dreaming?! Or am I dead?!

Shouts of exclamations stopped my train of thoughts. I whirled around and saw Dusk single-handedly fighting off demons and scientists. It was amazing how quickly he and Dawn were subdued. The grabbed for Dawn first, which distracted Dusk just long enough to disarm him and get him on his respective platform. Demons held him and Dawn in place as both tried to get to each other.

"Hey, knock it off!" I exclaimed, trying to punch a demon holding onto Dusk. My hand passed through him once again, and I began panicking. With their fingers just inches of each other, the Demons pressed their weapons back into the indents, turning the Angel of Psychics and Angel of Shadows into statues, freezing the looks of desperation and determination to get with their significant other in place.

I was gasping, hearing a crazy erratic beeping. I looked around. A hospital room. I noticed the Ranger Union emblem on the door. I was back in the ranger union. Something was over my mouth. I looked around. Aqua was sleeping on a bed next to me, breathing deeply. She must've been sick. Dash was next to her, asleep sitting up on a chair. That looked uncomfortable.

I remembered the events that I saw. Was it a dream? Then Wynter isn't gone... right? Isn't this the part where the girl is sitting by the guys bedside, crying with relief to know he's still alive? That's how it worked in the movies.

Then where was Wynter?

"You're awake! Finally!" I turned my head and saw Flare. She seemed to be tired, emotionally drained.

"What happened?" I asked.

"Oh, you know. Aqua and Dash were attacked by Dawn in the middle of an underwater mission. Both almost drowned, but survived. Dash cracked a few ribs, and Aquas pretty sick, but resting it off. He won't leave her side. I've been taking pictures all day." she smirked. "I went to pick up the two, and we all got attacked by Forrest..." she swallowed.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to. It must've been tough." I said. She nodded. I could tell she was trying not to cry.

"A-And then Devlin sent Dawn and Wynter over to attack the Union. Then they blackmailed Eleanor into going with them in exchange for her dad..."

"Wait, her Dad?"

"Yeah, he apparently died from drowning during a mission, but didn't, was Team Hellions captive in an magic induced ten year coma, and woke up here. Eleanor gave herself over for her dad to return to her family."

"So Eleanor...?"

"Gone."

"Wynter?" I asked. She shook her head, and looked down.

"Gone." she whispered. Flare whispered. Flare never whispers unless its for a mischievous prank. I kinda stared at her in shock for a moment. So perhaps the end of that dream... with Dawn and Dusk... could that have possibly been real?

"Then why are we sitting here?!" I exclaimed. "My girl is gone and I'm just sitting in a hospital bed!"

"Surge, we can't just barge in." Flare said. "I'm all for going in and getting them back, but I just got word that Dusk is gone. Which means that five out of ten of us is probably demon captives. On top of that, two out of the remaining five of us aren't in Warrior level yet,"

"Uh-uh!" I said childishly. "I gained my warrior form in my dream state thing. I remember Storm being there training me!"

"I suppose Dawn said that could work, but lets think about this, Surge. So what if you have your warrior form? Carter doesn't, you just woke from a two month coma, Dash has cracked ribs, and Aquas' sick as a dog. Really, on a lucky chance, I'm the only one who can go into the castle and fight against a horde of Demons without something putting me in immediate danger of getting killed on the first blow."

"Wait, castle?" I asked. She face palmed.

"And we still have to fill you in on what happened." she muttered.

"I'm well enough to walk! Let me up, I'm going to see." I exclaimed, swinging my legs over the edge of the bed. "Where's Carter?"

"Beating the shit outta something in the workout room." Flare shrugged. "You sure you can walk? You've been asleep for two months."

"Yeah, I'm fine." I assured her. "Better stop worrying about me, or Forrest may think you're cheating on him!" Flare went red at this, and refused to look me in the eye. I grinned, and got up. I groaned at the stiffness in my legs and back, but stretched, trying to get the kinks out of my back.

"You sound like an old man." Flare smirked.

"You try sleeping for two months after falling from the Almia castle and tell me how you feel when you wake up."

"Oh my (insert appropriate word here) Acreus." Surge said, back in his ranger uniform, staring up at the castle of doom, the earth around him, through the gaping hole Team Hellion left us with in shock. "Is this only here or...?"

"It's spreading. Like a virus." I answered bluntly.

"Joy." He muttered. "I thought it was only a dream. Does that mean...?"

"Dream?" I asked. He blinked, and blushed for a moment.

"Yeah, I dreamed of Wynter. She was normal, and we were flying around having fun," something told me he wasn't telling the whole truth, but I'm not gonna pry my way into the dream. I can do that at a time where there is less stress. "Then the world turned into this," he gestured to the brown grass, smoldering trees, and reddened sky. "And she was gone."

"I'm sorry." I immediately said. Those nightmares were something awful. I would never admit it, but I've been having the same sort of thing with Forrest with me...

"Then I was in a lab room or something, and I saw them Flare. Eleanor, Dawn, Forrest, Wynter, and... and Gabriel."

"Gabriel?" I asked. "As in, Devlin?"

"Yeah! But he wasn't a Demon, he was an Angel! All of them were frozen, like golden statues or something." he said.

"You saw Gabriel." I confirmed. He nodded.

"Golden statue, just left of Eleanor." he said. I nodded again.

"Go on."

"There were nameplates under them all, like Eleanors'. Hers had her name then her title, Angel of there were indents for our weapons, you know? And then there was some sort of clear wiring that attached itself to the platforms they were on and the weapons indents. And they each had a different color of, I don't know, aura? Magic? Whatever it was, it was the same color as their eyes." he paused. "You might call me a wuss, but I felt really disturbed, seeing my name there, like they were waiting for me." when I didn't respond, he continued.

"A-Anyway, the wiring was attached to some sort of larger, glass capsule, lit up by the colors of the magicy-aura stuff coming from them."

"Did you find out what it was for?" I asked.

"No. I didn't get the point of it." he answered. "Later, Dusk came in-"

"Wait, Dusk? As in, normal, Angel Dusk?" I exclaimed.

"Yup. He ranger uniform and all. I think he was in his warrior form... but transformed back to normal. I'm not sure why." he paused, and continued. "So he barged in, freed Dawn, had a tiny little make-out session... Oh! Dusk cried a little bit. It was to perfect, I wish that I caught it on camera."

He laughed, and I snickered too. It was good to think like this, think like we're normal and planning to blackmail Dusk into doing something ridiculously. Like when we were in ranger school.

"Anyways... after that, Demons came in and captured them both. Then I woke up."

"Sounds like you could use a hand." I turned, and did a double take at who I saw. Perfectly curled red hair, snake-like green eyes. Skinny jeans, converses, and a white, off one shoulder T-shirt. Pink tinted wings sprouted from her back. In her arms was Raven, Dusks Eevee partner. She smiled, a genuine smile. "Miss me?"

"T-Tori?" I asked. "Why are you here? I thought you were on the run."

"I was." she said, sitting next to us. "But I heard what happened. Then I saw that," she nodded towards the castle. "And knew I had to come and talk to Eleanor."

"Well, Eleanor isn't here." I spat. "Captured by the Demons."

"Oh." she said.

"How'd you even get in? And on this floor?" Surge asked.

"Uh, there's a gaping hole in the wall." Tori said. An Eevee looked curiously from behind her legs. It was completely pink with white accents, a small butterfly wing mark on its forehead. Another Eevee was next to the pink one. This one was black with red accents, with a star on its forehead, I nodded towards them.

"Friends of yours?" I asked. Tori blinked, and nodded.

"Her name's Breena. Bre-Bre for short. She's great." Tori said, gesturing towards the pink one. "This one is Seth."

"Both yours?" Surge asked. Tori shook her head.

"No. Bre-Bres' mine. Seth belongs to Gabriel." she said. Tori paused, her voice dropping to a whisper. "Have you heard from him lately?"

"Nope, only when he's Devlin and he wants to kill us." I shrugged. Tori seemed slightly taken aback, but nodded.

"Oh." was all she said. There was a pause.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

"I can understand why you would hate me." she started. "I was a real bitch back in Ranger School. Truthfully, I can't say I'm sorry for it, but I can say I regret it. I regret that I couldn't see what wonderful people you all were. But I'm alone now." she paused, looking up to make sure we were listening. "My family wanted nothing to do with me and I haven't heard from Lexi or Ray in over a year. All I really have is Bre-Bre and the hope of finding Gabriel and reuniting him with Seth." she paused. "So you have to understand. I'm not here to hurt you guys anymore. I'm here to help."

"How could you help us? Care to explain?" I demanded. Surge stood awkwardly off to the side.

"The experiment..." she swallowed. "During the experiment, they put the bird serum in me. You can call me as crazy as you want, but I had a dream a little after I left the ship. I was floating, and a voice told me I was the only one who could help Gabriel. Then... he told me I was now known as Victoria Palmer, Angel of Fairies."

"A new Angel?" I asked in utter shock. Tori nodded.

"I woke up with my wings white and pink and Bre-Bre next to me. Bre-Bre was training me, told me I had to earn a Warrior Form, and then we came across Seth."

"So what exactly can you do?" Surge asked.

"Well, remember when they had a huge announcement about the new Fairy-Type in the Kalos region?" I nodded, remembering the hype about that. "I can use a few Fairy-Type moves. Misty Terrain, Fairy Wind, Dazzling Gleam, and Moonlight." she smiled. "Strangely, my Moonlight attack can heal other people, although nowhere near as good as Eleanor can heal. See, it takes me a few hours just to heal a tiny sickness."

"But you can heal, right?" Surge asked. She blinked.

"Yeah. Bre-Bre and I have been practicing like crazy." Surge glanced at me, and I nodded.

"Listen, Aqua's sick and Dash broke some ribs. We need someone to heal them, and without Eleanor, we can't attack until we heal." she nodded. "Can you transform into your Warrior Form?" Tori smirked arrogantly.

"What do you think I did while I wandered around the world."

"Transform, now." Surge said. Tori nodded, and grinned, surrounded in an almost blinding pink light. As the light faded away, it revealed the new Angel in her Warrior form.

Her red hair was still curled, the sides pulled back into braids, tying with a long pink ribbon. As I now think about it, she looked a lot like Fairy Asuna from the anime Sword Art Online, minus the pointy ears and dragonfly like wings. Light pink accented with gold and white, she was wearing a long, flowing skirt that flowed much like waves on the ocean, gathering in some places. Her shirt, cutoff, showing her stomach(unsurprisingly) was light pink, white lining the bottom edges, a loose red bow ted in the front. Two white bands were around her upper arms, and ribbons wrapped around her feet, once around the ankle, and once around her feet. A crown of flowers wound around her head, and strangely, no armor over her marginal converts.

"So what do you think? Impressive, huh?" Tori asked, doing a little twirl.

"Carter is going to be pissed when he find out." Was all Surge had to say, leading the girl into the hospitalization room. I smirked.

"Don't be thinking of doing anything inappropriate, Surge!" I shouted after him. Surge looked over his shoulder, smirking.

"I would never cheat on Wynter, Flare, you know that!" he exclaimed before walking off.

I shook my head at our teasing before stopping to think about what was going on. Interesting turn of events. Tori turns out to be a newly blessed Angel of Acreus. How is this going to effect Team Hellions plans? Angel of Fairies. perhaps I should accept the fact that Devlin is actually Gabriel, an Angel instead of a Demon. Angel of Death and Angel of Faries. That's twelve of us now.

It really was no secret that Tori had the hots for that guy. You could read her face like a book. This must've been the first guy she actually wanted to get serious with. But then again, Forrest was the first guy I ever truly liked as someone...more than a friend. Does that mean that every time I thought about him I looked like a lovestruck schoolgirl like Tori did? I certainly hope not! I had a reputation to keep.

But Forrest was always there for me... And I guess I could say he was the only male on this earth I could actually trust with my life. Sure, I could trust the other guys with secrets, but its not like I expected them to watch my back for me. Forrest always did that, wether I wanted him too or not.

I really do hope we can change him back. Because now that I think about it, it becomes so much clearer to me. I love Forrest, and without him I'm like a Dwebble without its shell. I'm spineless, weak, and scared...

No, not scared. That was to common a word to describe this feeling. Without that nature loving pacifist, without Forrest, I was terrified.

Amy: I hope this makes up for the long wait. Like I said before, I'm not sure when the next update will be. Being grounded sucks. A lot.
