It was a day of celebration in Almia. After dealing with news crews and reporting missions, all of us went to rest at the base of Altru Tower. Seems everyone wanted to know about us. Who we are, what happened, how we got wings, personal lives... much to stuffy for me, really. I was sitting on a bench, watching as the day fell to a clear night, and the Go Rock Quads were preparing to perform.

"Hey Wynter." Surge said, wrapping his arms around my shoulders from the other side of the bench, catching me by surprise. I tilted my head back, smiling.

"We don't have to hide anymore." I whispered. "Now everyone knows."

"Is that a bad thing?" he asked as he came around, sitting next to me.

"Maybe, maybe not." I answered as Tiffany stepped forward towards the microphone, leaving her violin in it's case.

"Just don't think about it right now." Surge said as I rested my head on his shoulder, his arm wrapped firmly around my shoulders. I sighed, listening as the rest of the band began to play a slow melodic tune. Slowly, Tiffany began to sing.

For the first time in a long time, I felt content.

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder.

You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger.

May you never take one single breath for granted.

God forbid love ever leave you empty handed.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Dawn asked, listening to the music while we stood among the crowd. I had no idea where the others went, but I was glad it was over. Everything... the long fear of loosing everything, it was over.

"I'm glad, Dawn." she looked over at me.

"Why Dusk, is that a hint of a smile on your face?" she asked. I leaned down close to her face.

"You tell me." I whispered into her ear. She brought her hands up, and brushed the hair that had always covered my face away.

"You don't have to do it all the time," she said. "But in moments like these, I would love it if I could see both of your eyes. They're beautiful, Dusk."

I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean.

Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens.

Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance.

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

I hope you dance.

I hope you dance.

I broke away from the Angel of Fairies abruptly. She looked up at me, a small pout on her face.

"Why'd you stop?" she asked. I smirked.

"Because I love that little pout of yours." I responded. Tori went as red as her hair. "Victoria," I said her full name, indicating the seriousness of the situation. I cupped my hands around her face. She brought her hands up, placing them over mine."I can't stay here."

"Wha- Why?" she demanded.

"People know. I'm guilty of so many things..."

"That wasn't you! This is you!" she exclaimed in shock.

"People will still blame me."

"You can't leave me!" she was crying now. Using my thumbs, I wiped her tears away.

"Don't cry." I said, trying to comfort her.

"You don't get it. I was disowned. My family doesn't want me anymore." I looked at her for a long time. "Take me with you." she said. "Please."

"Reveal thyself." I whispered, and watched as her pink tinted wings unfurled from her back. She looked up at me, Breena and Seth at our sides. "Lets go, Victoria, Angel of Fairies."

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance.

Never settle for the path of least resistance.

Livin' might mean taking chances, but they're worth takin'.

Lovin' might be a mistake, but it's worth makin'

Some people used lighters in events like these. I used my index finger. Soon, cellphone lights and more lighters were swaying to the tune of the music. I sat on the fence at the back of the crowd.

"Hey, uh, Flare." I turned towards Forrest, and grinned.

"Yo, Forrest, I've been meaning to talk to you." I said as I brought my hand down, snuffing out the small flame. He sat next to me.

"Yeah?" he asked.

"Yeah, remember back in Peril Cliffs incident?"

"I'm sorry." he said almost immediately.

"No, Forrest, I'm sorry." I said. His eyes looked at me curiously. "I've closed myself off for so long because of my Dad. Sometimes I think I did it subconsciously."

"So...?"

"So I'd like to open myself back up again, starting with you." I continued. "You're the only person I feel can handle me and my past relations with men. So if I'm resilient to move quickly in a relationship... I'm hoping you'll accept that."

"O-Of course!" Forrest exclaimed. "So, listen, there's this little park that just opened near the Ranger School... I was wondering...?"

"Forrest Brook, are you asking me out on a date?" I smiled mischievously. He nodded, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. I smiled, and scooted closer to him, my hand over his. He looked down, and looked back up at me again. "I think," I flashed my signature grin. "I would really like that."

Don't let some hellbent heart leave you bitter.

When you come close to sellin' out, reconsider.

Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance.

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.

I hope you dance.

"Gotcha!" I exclaimed as I splashed water over to Aqua. Sure, rock bands where fun and all, but we came back down to Nabiki beach for fun. Hell, we could see and hear the music and show from here!

Right now we were in a full out water war. Basically, it consisted of Aqua shooting water at me while I dodged all her attacks. Finally, I managed to get her wet. She whipped around and summoned a small wave that splashed me under. I popped back up again in the knee-deep water, and set a heave of water her way. She went under, but didn't come up.

My eyebrows knitted into confusion and then worry when she didn't resurface after a couple of minutes. Where the hell-?

I let out a yelp as hands wound around my ankles and pulled. I hit the water with a splash, going under, and inhaling water before coming back up spluttering, half choking on water.

"Help me, Aqua!" I exclaimed dramatically. "I'm choking! I may need CPR!" she laughed as I fell onto the shore, fake twitching, then stopped moving. I could feel her staring at me, so I cracked an eye open. "Hey, still waiting on the CPR, you know."

"You're serious?!" exclaimed Aqua.

"Sorry, can't hear you, dying because I can't breathe!" I said as I closed my eyes again. I could feel Aqua fidgeting beside me before I felt something amazingly soft press against my lips. She pulled away, still fidgety, I could tell, and I opened my eyes, sitting up.

"You're alive! It worked!" Aqua cried out gleefully.

"That was some crappy CPR." I whined. Aqua blushed, and playfully smacked my arm.

"Sh-Shut up! That was my first time!"

"First CPR or first kiss?" I asked. Aqua looked up at me and grinned, flashing the peace sign.

"Both!"

I hope you dance.

"Hey Carter," I said. Carter turned my way and smiled. I noticed a tint of red on his cheeks.

"Eleanor!" he exclaimed. "Hey."

"Hey." I mimicked, sitting next to him. "So... about Abbadon...?"

"Dead." Carter said grimly. "He drowned in the darkness of his own heart."

"I'm sorry." I responded.

"Don't be." Carter said. "I always hated him." he let out a chuckle. "Guess I'm officially an orphan, huh?"

"I don't get why you're acting so depressing." I said, smacking his arm. "Even Dusk was smiling."

"Really?! You got a picture, right?" I shook my head.

"He and Dawn were having a moment. Couldn't interrupt that."

"Oh."

"You know, Carter, I still have to thank you for saving my life." I said, placing myself next to him. "So thanks."

"Now wait a minute, that's all I get?" Carter asked. "I saved your life. Isn't this where you announce your undying love for me?" I smacked his arm playfully. "So where's your family?"

"Somewhere around here." I shrugged. "Steven came for a visit to check up on the family."

"Steven Stone?" he asked.

"Yup."

"I can't believe that your dad thought I was him. I mean, you and Cynthia are understandable since you're sisters, but we're completely opposite."

"Yeah." I said. A pause.

"So are we boyfriend-girlfriend now?" he asked suddenly, looking me in the eye.

"Well, I don't see why not, I mean-" I was cut off abruptly as he pressed his lips to mine. He pulled back and grinned.

"HEY!" I heard and looked over my shoulder. There was my dad, bounding down the fill with the rest of the family behind him. With one swift moment, he tackled Carter to the ground, practically strangling him while he had him pinned. "You keep you hands off my daughter, or so Arceus help me-!"

"Dad, it's fine, really!" I groaned while myself and my mom tried to pry him off Carter. Cynthia sighed, seeing that there was no way that Dad was going to get off my boyfriend anytime soon. She looked over at Steven, and they seemed to convey a secret message before turning back towards us.

"Daddy, I'm engaged!" Cynthia said happily. Cue the jaw drop.

"WHAAAAAAAT?!" Dad exclaimed. "To who?"

"To me, sir." Steven said. "Steven Stone." My dad seemed to eye him up for a few minutes.

"Now I can't go giving my daughter to just anybody." he mumbled. "But you look like a good man! Come, we shall discuss this over drinks!"

And like that, my dad was gone, dragging Steven by the arm. While my mom was cooing over Cynthia and the wedding plans, I notice Henry chatting it up with a blond girl close to his age. I nudged Carter.

"Isn't that Melody? Isaacs sister?" I asked. Carter glanced at the duo, and nodded.

"Seems even your ten-year-old brother found someone." Carter smirked. I smiled and laughed at this. Finally, after living hell for years upon years, I can finally say the we're free.

This is our new beginning.

I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean.
