{Chapter 5}
Author Notes: My last chapter was rushed, I admit, I even found that I made it seem like Naruto was a part of team 7. He is not, it's just me rushing the chapter and not thinking it out properly. This chapter will hopefully be way better as I'll be thinking it out as much as I can. Thank you for continuing to read this fanfiction.
ARFitS: Yes, I'll admit, I did kind of rush the beginning but that's because I really didn't want to spend too much time between The beginning – The Land of Wave arc, but I do get where you're coming from and I'm hoping on fleshing out the chapters and showing each motive from each character (Some won't change from canon) and how they ultimately join Naruto in his plan. The chapters are more planned out and each character is as well and will
We begin this chapter one day after the previous chapter. We cut to Naruto who is flying to the gate of the village and when he arrives, he is surprised to see his whole team there, especially Kakashi. Naruto drops down to meet them.
"This kid can fly?" Tazuna, the client, asked. Everyone nodded with envy of his abilities.
"Anyways. We'll move in a diamond formation to provide maximum protection for Tazuna. Hinata at the back, Sasuke at his east and Naruto at his West, I'll be at the front. To be honest it really doesn't matter where anyone is since we are powerful enough to cover any role but... formality." Kakashi explained with a nonchalant shrug as Hinata shook her head and activated her byakugan to scout. Tazuna hoped his words were true as they began their journey.
SCENE CHANGE
It has been one hour since team 7 and Naruto left the village, one hour of walking at civilian pace to accommodate Tazuna, one hour of silence. Hinata, albeit used to silence since the two people she trained with barely talked at all, decided to learn more about the outside of Konoha.
"Mr. Tazuna?" Hinata called out.
"Yes." Tazuna responded.
"What's the wave like?" Hinata asked.
"It's a very beautiful country with ever-flowing rivers, great climate and the people there are the nicest people you'll ever meet." Tazuna said aloud with a big grin, his hands in this sky to show emphasis to his words. Although as soon as his happiness came, it was replaced with a solemn expression.
"At-least that's what I would've said before HE came along." Tazuna finished, anger now evident in his voice.
"Who?" Hinata asked.
"Gato, one of the richest people in the world. But even with all his money he set his sights on our small land." Tazuna said.
"I see." Hinata said with her head down. Guess there more people suffering than she thought.
"How will the bridge help?" Hinata asked.
"Since Gato monopolized our shipping from and to the other lands the bridge will connect us to the mainland where we can trade without Gato doing anything about it. This is our last hope in fixing the mess he made." Tazuna explained, as Hinata nodded.
Ten minutes later as they were travelling Hinata with her Byakugan noticed two chakra signatures in the distance on the east and west behind the trees hidden using an invisibility genjutsu. Naruto and Sasuke, with their sharingan activated, saw it a few minutes later. The trio looked and each other and nodded which Tazuna noticed and wondered what was happening. The three did nothing but wait to see what would happen.
A few more minutes later, just before Kakashi had passed the two signatures two identical people came out, (Demon brothers' description). The two ninjas rushed to Kakashi as he looked up to his book to see himself wrapped with a chain, before he could say anything he body in ripped into pieces.
Tazuna, seeing the brutal death of the man immediately vomited on the ground but the others knew better. The two brothers rush towards Tazuna who was on the ground.
"Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm!" Hinata shouted as she thrust her hand above Tazuna. A wave of compressed chakra, which looked like air, hit the middle of the chain that connected to the opponents' gauntlets which sent them flying. As the two were midair Hinata quickly appeared beside them as one by one she closed the chakra points in both the brothers' arms and legs, making them immobile. By the time she was done they both landed on the ground and just as fast as she left, she was behind to Naruto and Sasuke.
"Your speed is impressive." Sasuke said, the time Hinata disappeared and reappeared beside them was only a second.
"Thank you." Hinata said with a small bow.
"You can come out now." Sasuke said, as soon as he said that the chopped up Kakashi came out of the forest looking like nothing happened. Tazuna looked to the man in shock, he quickly looked where the man had been cut only to see a small log in a few pieces.
"Well, that was interesting." Kakashi said putting his book into his pocket. He walked up to Tazuna who looked a bit nervous with a bead of sweat running down his forehead.
"Those two.", Kakashi pointed at the two fallen opponents, "Are the demon brothers, rouge ninja of the Hidden Mist village and as far as I'm concerned, they are Jonin level shinobi. The mission description said we'd be facing Chunin level shinobi at best making it a B-rank mission. The inclusion of Jonin upgrade the mission to an A-rank, making this mission outside of our paygrade." Kakashi finished.
Tazuna looked at the four who also started at him with a piecing stare, especially Naruto and Sasuke who looked at him with a face that held no emotion. To be honest that was worse than the girl who at least looked upset, the straight face creeped him out a bit.
"Uh..." Tazuna said, looking for a lie. After a few more seconds he looked down, slumped his shoulder and sighed.
"Alright, I guess no other option. To be honest the rank I paid for was the most I could afford. The village collected as much money as they could behind Gato's back and gave me the money to hire protection from the Hidden Leaf. So, I'm sorry I lied to you all but I had no other choice." Tazuna said.
"Well after that story I think we would be monsters if we just left and abandoned you here now would we. Next time just inform the Hokage of your situation, he will understand." Kakashi said to which Tazuna looked at him with pure happiness in his eyes.
"Thank you, thank you so much. You have no idea what this means for me and my country." Tazuna said with a tear in his eye. He was truly lucky to have gotten such a considerate team.
"Naruto do you mind taking care of those two?" Kakashi asked, pointing to the two demon brothers. Naruto shook his head and activated his mangekyo sharingan.
"Kamui!" Naruto said as the two brothers disappeared in a vortex. Tazuna was shocked, could this kid make Gato disappear like that? Sasuke wondered if that ability was connected to the phasing ability Naruto displayed against him while Hinata just wondered what that was.
"Back to the unnecessary formation." Kakashi said disturbing them out of their thoughts as they continued.
SCENE CHANGE
The team continued on to the route to the Wave, after a few another hour they approached a river that was separating the Land of Waves with the mainland. They approached a small hut just before the water.
"Let me do the talking." Tazuna said as he knocked on the door, after a few minutes a middle-aged bearded man came out.
"Tazuna? You already came back from the Hidden Leaf?" The man said as Tazuna nodded.
"Yeah, and I got the best team I could've gotten right here." Tazuna said as he stepped aside to present the team. The man was impressed.
"Well, I hope they can do the job and end Gato's tyranny. On the other hand, there must be a reason as to why you're here. I'm assuming you want a ride?" The man asked, Tazuna nodded.
"Alright my friend, but this is the last ride I can give you without making Gato suspicious of what is happening." The man said.
"And I thank you for risking your life doing this, but this seems like the last moments of us living under Gato. I trust them." Tazuna said, the man nodded and went to the back of his shed and took out a paddle boat that could fit them all. He set it into the water and climbed into to it, he motioned for the team to get in as they did.
"Off to the Wave!" The man shouted as he took hold of the paddles and set sail towards the land.
SCENE CHANGE
In between the two lands there was a huge unfinished bridge which was obviously the bridge to connect the two lands and the one they had to protect until completion.
"Wow, that is a very impressive bridge." Hinata pointed out as Tazuna rubbed his nose with his finger, proud of his greatest accomplishment.
"Nothing much for the super awesome bridge builder: Tazuna." He said, making the team sweat drop.
"Yeah yeah, just make sure it's finished before you start bragging." The man said, destroying his confidence as Tazuna sat down, now quiet.
After a few more minutes of silence Sasuke spoke up, "Hey Naruto?". Naruto looked at him, indicating he was listening.
"That move you used on the demon brothers, what is it?" Sasuke asked. Hinata and Tazuna listened in as well.
"To put it simply it is a mangekyo ability called Kamui, it allows me to teleport people and myself from here to another dimension that is only accessible by the users of this ability. It also allows me to put parts of my body in that dimension while I remain here, this explained me phasing during the fight we had two days ago." Naruto explained, though there was one more thing on Sasuke's mind.
"Who's sharingan possessed the ability?" Sasuke asked.
"I'll tell you once this mission is over." Naruto said as Sasuke nodded. The crew went silent up until they reached their destination.
SCENE CHANGE
After a total of now 3 hours of travel they finally stepped foot in the Land of Waves. The man prepared to row back to the other side.
"Remember this is the last time, make sure Gato is dead when this is all done!" The man said as Tazuna gave him a thumbs up as the team resumed formation.
After a few minutes of walking a mist slowly started to approach them, Naruto sensed chakra from this mist whilst Hinata, with her Byakugan still activated, saw chakra within this mist.
"Kakashi sensei, there's chakra in this mist." Hinata pointed out as Kakashi immediately closed his book and put it in his pouch as he also stopped in his tracks, which prompted the others to do so.
"The Hidden Mist Jutsu." Kakashi pointed out, "If that means what I think it means then we are going to face a very dangerous enemy." Kakashi finished as a whirling sound could slowly be heard approaching. This confirmed Kakashi's suspicions.
"Everybody get down!" Kakashi yelled as they all went down, Hinata grabbing Tazuna and taking him down with her. As soon as they did a massive blade went straight past where their heads should be, the sword stuck itself to a tree as a man appeared on top of it.
"Damn, I missed my target." The man said as the group stood up. The man was a tall and muscular man with light grayish skin, short spiky black hair, dark brown eyes, and small eyebrows. He wore bandages like a mask over the bottom half of his face. He wore his forehead protector sideways on his head. He was shirtless, with his chest only covered by a belt to which he attached his sword. He wore baggy pants with the striped pattern typical of the Hidden Mist and mimetic wrist-warmers extending up to his elbows, with matching leg-warmers.'
His sword was called the Executioner's blade, it is a large broadsword, as tall as a full-grown man, shaped like a butcher knife. The blade itself has two cut outs, a circle close to the top and a semi-circular one nearer to the handle, the former of which is aptly fitting the sword's purpose of decapitation. The latter notch allows a strap to be wrapped around the weapon, making it easier for the user to carry. Its extremely long handle is also detachable to further aid transportation and then reattached when required for combat.
"Zabuza Momochi, Demon of the Mist, former member of the seven ninja swordsmen. A very powerful shinobi S-rank shinobi." Kakashi pointed out.
"Well, if it isn't Kakashi of the sharingan, as well as Naruto Uzumaki, the ninja who's never lost a fight. Fighting two S-rank shinobi" Zabuza said.
Sasuke and Hinata looked at Naruto, even with their strength Naruto had never told them of his ventures on the outside and sometimes it was hard to remember that Naruto was an Elite Jonin. They also have not taken a look at a bingo book yet.
"Hinata, there's another chakra signature nearby, do you see them?" Naruto asked, Hinata focused and locked on to another chakra signature. It was behind where the sword was thrown, in the forest.
"In the direction from where sword was thrown, in the forest!" Hinata said, Naruto nodded.
"I guess my secret is out. Haku show yourself!" Zabuza said as he disappeared and reappeared in front of the group where another person appeared next to him. The person had long black hair, pale skin and a slender frame. The person wore a standard Hidden Mist pinstriped outfit which stopped at their knees. Over this they wore a green haori with white trimmings, and around their waist a brown sash with a fringed trail wrapped around their waist twice. They also wore light-brown platoon sandals with straps in the same color as their kimono and nail polish on their fingernails and toenails in matching blue green color. When wearing this outfit, Haku's long hair was gathered in a white bun holder, while two locks of their hair fell loose framing their face, bound with metal hair cuffs at the ends. The ninja also wore a hunter-nin mask on top of their forehead protector, which was white with thin, curved eye-holes and a red wavy design in place of the mouth, as well as the Hidden Mist symbol etched in the top.
"Seems like you're not as sneaky as we thought Haku." Zabuza said, displeased at his sub-ordinate.
"Forgive me Master Zabuza." Haku said with a feminine voice.
"No matter, also take off that mask our trick won't work now." Zabuza said as Haku took off her, the group assumed, mask. As she did, she revealed her very beautiful face with her dark-brown eyes. The group had no reaction unlike Kakashi who cursed the fact that he had to fight such a beautiful girl.
Sasuke and Kakashi stepped up to fight, Kakashi facing Zabuza while Sasuke faced Haku.
Kakashi immediately pulled up the headband covering his other eye to reveal a three tomoe sharingan, shocking Sasuke but he had no time to dwell on it.
"Don't kill them." Naruto said as he performed a seal-less wind breakthrough, just powerful enough to blow away the mist.
"Tch, I hate wind users." Zabuza said, as soon as he said that Kakashi and Sasuke approached towards their opponents.
Kakashi vs Zabuza
Kakashi rushed towards Zabuza with a kunai in hand, he quickly went for a stab towards his heart as it connected. As he did Zabuza turned into water, indicating he was a clone. Kakashi sensed a presence behind him as he turned to see Zabuza with his sword above him ready to slash through Kakashi. The sword cut Kakashi in half as he too turned into a water clone, he reappeared a few meters away from Zabuza.
"You copied my jutsu as soon as I performed it, quite impressive copy ninja." Zabuza said although Kakashi found it ironic he was being called a copy ninja while he had a literal copy ninja on the team.
Kakashi and Zabuza rushed towards each other as they engaged in a hand to sword battle. Zabuza had the advantage as even though his sword was as big as him, he had no noticeable decrease in speed. This meant Kakashi had to play defense. As Kakashi was dodging Zabuza slashed his sword down and Kakashi dodged it once again, but in an incredible feat of strength Zabuza flipped the sword around and slashed it towards Kakashi who just barely dodged it thanks to his sharingan but it cut a bit of Kakashi's hair in the process. Kakashi jumped back a few meters on to a small lake to regain his composure.
'Damn, he's faster than I thought. I have to change my approach.' Kakashi said, panting.
"I'm a little disappointed Kakashi, I expected more from you." He said as he slowly approached Kakashi, his sword held on his shoulder. He rushed towards Kakashi who weaved 3 hand seals.
"Water style: Water Spikes." Kakashi said, slamming his hands on the ground. As Zabuza approached the lake Kakashi was standing on multiple water spikes rushed to stab Zabuza. Zabuza had to dodge the multiple spikes rushing towards him, as he did Kakashi weaved a snake hand seal.
"Fire style: Fireball Jutsu." Kakashi said as he shot the fireball at the lake instead of Zabuza which confused the man. His confusion turned into worry as the large fireball collided with the water, a large body of mist formed around them. This being a natural mist meant Zabuza cannot detect anyone within it but Kakashi can see him with his sharingan.
'My own move used against me, clever move Kakashi.' Zabuza thought as his eyes darted about in every direction.
'Now that he's standing still this should be easier to do.' Kakashi said as his eye morphed into the mangekyo.
"Kamui!" Kakashi shouted as a small black hole formed in the middle of the sword.
'What the-.' Zabuza thought as he saw a small center in the middle of his sword which pull his sword within it in a vortex. He pulled as hard as he could but the force was too strong and eventually the sword was gone.
"Wha-, what happened. What did you do to my sword!" Zabuza shouted to the unseen Kakashi.
"Just be thankful I didn't take you long with it, although knowing Naruto you'll probably going there anyway." Kakashi said to the now confused Zabuza. Taken off-guard by the unusual move Zabuza didn't notice the water clone forming behind him.
"No matter, I'll just beat it out of you until you tell me where it is." Zabuza said as he tried to rush towards Kakashi. Zabuza though felt himself not being able to move.
"What's...happening!" Zabuza shouted, still in anger as he tried to move. He looked down and saw water forming around him in the shape of a sphere.
'Damn it, water prison.' Zabuza though before he was fully encased in the sphere of water, unable to move and unable to breathe. Kakashi slowly walked towards Zabuza and as he approached, he encased his left hand in lightning chakra, enough to not to kill him but only knock him out.
Kakashi stopped in front of the water prison and looked Zabuza in the eye, and without a word he put his lightning-encased hand against the water sphere and discharged.
"AHHHHHHH!" Zabuza shouted in the pain of being electrocuted, smoke emitting from the sphere as a result and in just a few seconds Zabuza was out cold. Kakashi's water clone dispersed along with the water prison as Zabuza began to fall in to the water before Kakashi caught him, carrying him over his shoulder over to Naruto.
Naruto saw Kakashi approaching, smiled and nodded. "Good job", was what the nod usually meant. 'It's odd, even though I'm older than him sometimes it feels like he is my superior.' Kakashi thought as he dropped Zabuza's body in front of Naruto. Naruto activated his Mangekyo as he used Kamui, transporting Zabuza to the dimension.
"How's Sasuke doing?" Kakashi asked as he put his headband over his eye and turned his attention to Sasuke's fight. Kakashi saw what seemed to be an ice dome made of multiple ice mirrors.
"He's doing fine, he should be done soon." Naruto said
Sasuke Vs Haku
We cut to a few minutes ago as we see Sasuke walking up to Haku, he unsheathed his sword as he decided to attack first. Haku predicted this and threw a few senbon towards Sasuke to which he had to deflect using his sword. As soon as he did, he saw Haku was right in front of him.
'Fast' Sasuke thought as he and Haku engaged into a sword to fist fight. As they fought Sasuke noticed that Haku didn't have much strength but she was fast, very fast. Sasuke used his sharingan to predict her attacks and counter but Haku would be fast enough to avoid his attacks, it would be a rinse and repeat for a few seconds before Sasuke decided to up the ante.
Sasuke increased his speed as he was about to attack Haku, Haku- being caught off-guard with the sudden increase in speed – was slashed diagonally across the chest. The now bleeding Haku jumped back a few feet but rushed towards Sasuke once again but this time at full speed. Sasuke and Haku now moved at even greater speeds; In the bout Haku managed to get ahold of Sasuke's sword hand and tightly interlocked it with her own hand, preventing Sasuke from using his sword. Haku proceeded to kick Sasuke in the stomach and in the face, sending him stumbling backwards. Haku backflipped and landed with hand in a tiger hand seal.
"Ice style: Ten Thousand Ice Petals." Haku said as without a body of water, thousands of mini-ice shards formed and flew towards Sasuke
Sasuke sheathed his sword and inhaled deeply, "Fire style: Wall of Flames." Sasuke said, no hand seals required as out of his mouth, aimed at the floor, came out a stream of fire and as it hit the floor it expanded into a tornado like wall of flame. The tornado melted all ice shards that touched or came near it, soon enough both the jutsu's subsided.
Sasuke rushed once again to Haku but halted once he saw her weave specific hand seals. "Ice style: Demonic Ice Mirrors." Haku said as a dome of ice mirrors formed around Sasuke and Haku. Sasuke looked around curiously as Haku stepped into one of the mirrors, as soon as she did a imagine of Haku appeared in all of the mirrors.
"With this jutsu, I am faster than ever before." Haku said as she stepped out of one of the mirrors to throw a bunch of senbons towards Sasuke.
"Fire style: Fireball Jutsu." Sasuke said in the direction of Haku. The fireball melted the senbons to ashes and exploded when it hit the mirror. The smoke dispersed and Sasuke saw the ice didn't even melt but he didn't ponder long on it as he felt a presence behind him. Sasuke turned around and saw even more senbons heading towards him, Sasuke quickly unsheathed his sword and deflected all the senbons but as he did that even more senbons came besides him as Sasuke continued to deflect them
The battle soon turned into Sasuke continuously deflecting the senbons Haku threw at him, his sharingan however were moving at a rapid pace looking at the senbons and the movement of Haku. During the fight Sasuke noticed that Haku moved in a linear pattern, she kept moving in a circular anti-clockwise direction and if Sasuke could time it correctly, he could the her out in one blow.
Sasuke followed Haku's movements until she was right in front of him, when she appeared in front of him Sasuke's right hand pointed towards Haku.
"Lightning style: Thunderclap Arrow!" Sasuke said as a huge lightning arrow shot towards Haku, Haku saw the lightning approaching her but wasn't fast enough to dodge as the arrow connected.
The jutsu connecting with Haku also shattered the glass as Haku flew in the air and landed right in front of Naruto, half her body had burns and had smoke coming out of it. The rest of the ice mirrors slowly melted as Sasuke sheathed his sword and started to walk towards Naruto and the others.
Naruto and the others saw Haku there are Haku smiled, she was badly injured but alive. Naruto put his right palm on Haku's head as he healed her, she looked like she was before the fight, Naruto proceeded to Kamui her into his dimension as Sasuke arrived next to them.
"Nice work." Naruto said as Sasuke nodded. Naruto looked towards Tazuna who was now really happy he got this team.
"Tazuna, how far is your house from here?" Naruto asked.
"Not far, it should take us one more hour or so of travel." Tazuna said as Naruto nodded and started to walk towards in their direction of Tazuna's house, the rest followed.
SCENE CHANGE
One hour of travel later the team arrived at the Wave village, as they were walking through the village the team saw the state the village was in: The houses were in terrible condition as they looked like they were about to break down any moment, uneven roads and the worst part was the many people living on the streets, some adults but mostly children. Gato had ruined the lives of many just for his greed.
"Welcome to the Land of Waves." Tazuna said in a sad voice, looking at the state the village was in.
Kakashi and Hinata looked at the village with a grim expression while Sasuke remained expressionless., they wanted to kill Gato even more now. Naruto had a similar expression to Sasuke however he was angry, the situation the people were in hit too close to home for him as it reminded him of what he went through before he was gifted; if he ever sees Gato, he will be a dead man.
As they were walking the adults looked at them in curiosity as some of the recognized the head bands that symbolized that they were shinobi. People began to be excited seeing shinobi of the leaf walking with the bridge builder, they now had hope that Gato could be beaten and hope that the Wave would return to the way it was before.
A few minutes later the team arrived at the house with the directions of Tazuna. Tazuna knocked on the door as few seconds later someone opened the door, said person was a woman who has long blue-colored hair. She wears a short-sleeved pink shirt with the end of the sleeves and the collar being red in color. She also wears a long blue skirt.
"Father? You're back!" The woman said in shock as she ran out to hug Tazuna who returned the hug.
"Of course I am, and I have the best team Konoha can offer." Tazuna said as he broke the hug and introduced the team.
"Thank you for returning my father home safely." The woman said with a bow. Kakashi scratched the back of his head, after putting his book away.
"No problem mam." Kakashi said
"Oh, where are my manners, my name is Tsunami." The now named Tsunami said.
"I'm Kakashi Hatake." Kakashi said with a wave.
"My name is Hinata Hyūga. Pleasure to meet you Tsunami." Hinata said politely with a bow.
"Sasuke Uchiha." Sasuke said expressionlessly
"Naruto Uzumaki." Naruto said similar to Sasuke.
"Nice to meet you all please get in." Tsunami said as she opened the door and let them in as they all entered. Tsunami got them quickly situated and sat them in the living room.
"About where you'll sleep; there are only 3 bedrooms so we'll have to share. Me and Hinata could share my bedroom, my father and my son share a room and the three of you could share the guest room, it is big enough for all of you." Tsunami said, no one had a problem as they nodded in agreeance. Once the group made themselves comfortable Tsunami proceeded to make dinner for everyone as they ate and soon went upstairs to their respective rooms.
SCENE CHANGE
We cut to the morning as the team woke up and head downstairs to eat breakfast. As the group was eating Kakashi decided to address them about what to do for the day.
"Well team 7, normally I'd train you in the time we have until the bridge is completed but there's currently nothing I can teach you except a few jutsu's. Other than that, I'll need one of you to help me protect Tazuna and the others while the bridge is being built. We'll rotate guarding duty starting with Sasuke, Hinata and then Naruto." Kakashi said as they all agreed.
After breakfast Kakashi and Sasuke headed out with Tazuna to the bridge while Naruto and Hinata went into the forest to train
SCENE CHANGE
After a few minutes of walking Tazuna with Kakashi and Sasuke arrived at the bridge where they saw multiple people who already began to work on the bridge. Tazuna joined them in the building while Sasuke and Kakashi leaned on the side of the bridge.
"Sasuke." Kakashi called out, Sasuke looked at him.
"From what I've seen your main affinity seems to be lightning, am I correct?" Kakashi asked as Sasuke nodded.
"I guess that's something I can train you in. Your control over it seems to be good so I'll only teach you a few jutsu, for example." Kakashi said as he grabbed his left wrist with his right hand, as he did that lightning gathered into his hand. The high concentration of lightning sounded like a thousand birds chirping which had people look over at the sound but they soon got back to work.
"This is my own jutsu is called Chidori, it's an A-rank assassination jutsu that I'm sure will be perfect for you." Kakashi explained. Sasuke looked at the jutsu in interest and him being the master in lightning quickly figured out how the jutsu worked, seems easy enough.
He did the same action as Kakashi and grabbed his left wrist with his right hand as in a second, lightning similarly gathered into his hand. The same chirping sound was heard on Sasuke's side although his own Chidori quickly dispersed, Kakashi's dispersed his as well.
Sasuke looked at his hand as he saw some of the skin on his hand was peeled off as his hand had smoldered slightly. 'This'll need more work, guess Kakashi actually does have something useful to train me in' Sasuke thought
"Impressive, you were able to understand most of the jutsu by a mere glace at it. Your control over lightning is truly remarkable." Kakashi said in surprise.
"About the jutsu, when using it apply a small layer of chakra over your hand to protect it from the burns. Another thing is that the jutsu also has a massive drawback; due to the speed at which you move at when using the jutsu it provides a tunnel vision-like effect for the user additionally because of the linear movement when using the jutsu it makes it easy for the opponent to attack, the tunnel vision makes it difficult to see the attacks coming." Kakashi explained as Sasuke began to think this jutsu may not be worth using due to the risks.
"But the sharingan overcomes all these drawbacks as its heightened visual perception prevents the tunnel vision from occurring and the predictive capabilities makes it easier for the user to avoid counterattacks. Making this jutsu perfect for sharingan users." Kakashi explained, Sasuke only listening intently.
"How did you come up with this jutsu?" Sasuke asked.
"The Chidori is basically a product of a failed experiment." Kakashi answered to which Sasuke nodded, asking no further questions.
SCENE CHANGE
Naruto and Hinata arrive in a clearing of a forest after a few minutes of walking, Naruto decides to take care of something before training begins.
"Give me a second." Naruto says to Hinata who nods. Naruto took up the usual meditating pose and closed his eyes as in a few seconds his moon seal began to glow.
"Wasn't this supposed to happen as you received your moon seal?" Kurama asked
'Yes, but the author forgot once again.' Naruto thought.
"He always does. Also let me out once in a while, I'm getting bored in here." Kurama says.
'No offense but aren't you a bit too big to be casually strolling around with me?' Naruto thought
"You're a seal master thanks to Hagoromo so find a way through there." Kurama suggests as Naruto nods.
"When I'm not busy then sure." Naruto says as his left eye changes, that was his que to leave. On the outside Naruto's seal glowed after assuming his meditative stanc and after a few more seconds the seal's glow dimmed as Naruto stood up and opened his eyes.
Hinata was shocked at what she saw, more specifically Naruto's left eye, his eye had transformed into his usual rinnegan with tomoe whilst his right eye had remained a three tomoe sharingan.
"What happened to your eye?" Hinata asked
"To put it simply, this dojutsu is called the rinnegan, a further evolution above the mangekyo sharingan. It's possibly the most powerful dojutsu to exist to date. The problem I can't use my mangekyo and rinnegan at the same time, what I just did is combine the two without decreasing the power. My left eye containing one rinnegan with the power of two while my right eye containing one mangekyo with the power of two" Naruto explains, Hinata was intrigued at the eye.
"What can the rinnegan do?" Hinata asked
"Rinnegan of different users have different abilities but they also have similarities, every rinnegan has base abilities which consist of: Deva Path – which allows me to control attractive and repulsive forces, Asura Path – which causes mechanization of the user's limbs, Human Path – which allows me to read someone's mind and extract their souls, Animal Path – allows me to summon of various creatures, Preta Path – which allows me to absorb chakra, Naraka Path – allows me to access the King of Hell who can repair any damage. Those abilities are consistent withing every rinnegan." Naruto explained. Hinata was shocked at the versatility and sheer power of the dojutsu, what else could it have.
"What can your rinnegan do that others can't?" Hinata asks
"Well, mine gives me three abilities: Limbo – which creates clones in another dimension, the clones are as powerful as I am and the only way to see them is if you have the rinnegan. My other ability is called Amenotejikara – which allows me to switch places with anyone and anything, I can also switch two objects or people." Naruto explains, Hinata wonders if it's even possible to defeat Naruto as the more she learns about him the more undefeatable he becomes. She chuckles to herself.
Naruto raises an eyebrow, "What's funny?" Naruto asks as Hinata's chuckles come to an eventual stop.
"Nothing, I just realized how many times I've heard the Hyūga call the byakugan the strongest dojutsu but after learning that the sharingan has 2 evolutions beyond the three tomoe makes impossible for me to believe that the byakugan even stands a chance." Hinata says as Naruto nods in understanding.
"I see what you mean, but to be fair the more power you gain from the sharingan the more trauma you have, the more darkness you obtain and the more likelihood that you'll go insane. Also, to awaken the rinnegan requires really specific conditions. At least the byakugan is simple... well pre-evolution is simple." Naruto says to which Hinata becomes intrigued.
"Pre-evolution?" Hinata asks, was there another stage to the Byakugan?
"That I'll explain another day. I do have something to tell you though." Naruto said as Hinata listened on.
"You and Sasuke have asked me what my goal is, and I think it's time I tell you." Naruto said as Hinata was all ears now. She and Sasuke have been wanting to know ever since the first year they trained together, maybe this'll answer the question of why he trained them specifically.
"My goal is to bring peace to the elemental nations, but not the way most would think. Bringing peace by understanding and working together didn't work and bringing peace by ruling with an iron fist didn't work so I decided to do both, rule the world by bringing the all the lands together by understanding that I am above all." Naruto said, most people would call it cockiness but to him, this was confidence. Hinata was speechless, she often wondered what Naruto's goals are but this was not even close to her guesses.
"I don't know what to say... Is that why you trained us?" Hinata asks. Naruto nods.
"Yes; You, Sasuke, Kakashi and others I need in my plan, and I'm hoping you will join me in creating a world where everyone can live a life they always wanted to live." Naruto said.
"What would you do if I decline?" Hinata asked, a little fearful of the answer she may receive.
"Nothing, I'll just leave you to live in a world where wars are sparked by a mere misunderstanding, where the people you love can die in an instant, a world that is not even a guarantee for the future generation, and a world where your family will continue its internal hatred towards each other." Naruto explained. Hinata looked down, contemplating on what Naruto said. If she agrees she will go against the world but with her friends by her side, but if she dis-agrees she will have to go up against Naruto. It was an easy decision.
"I'll join you Naruto." Hinata said as Naruto smiled.
"Good. You won't regret this." Naruto said as he unsealed his swords from a scroll.
"Now that we've established that, how about a spar? I need to test out my eye after all." Naruto says as he gets ready for battle.
Hinata nods as she activates her byakugan and gets into a taijutsu stance, without another word they charge at each other.
SCENE CHANGE
After spending the day guarding Tazuna, the three arrived to Tazuna's home an as the opened the door they saw Tsunami, Naruto, Hinata and another child on the table eating dinner.
"Welcome back you three, please sit down and I'll get your food." Tsunami said, she gets up to get their food as they sit down.
"So how was your day?" Hinata asks.
"Boring, you?" Sasuke answers, following up with a question.
"It was interesting." Hinata says
"Interesting? What made it interesting?" Sasuke asked
"Well, you'll know eventually." Hinata says as Sasuke and Kakashi look at each other in confusion and just shrugged their shoulders. Kakashi noticed the change in Naruto's eyes.
"Naruto, what happened to your eye?" Kakashi asked, Sasuke now noticed Naruto's left eye and wondered, 'Another dojutsu?'.
"I'll tell you in the next few days." Naruto says as they nod, at least he didn't say soon as he usually did. Though his eye, it looked very familiar to Kakashi, he was sure he's heard a description of that eye before, he'll ask the Hokage when he returns to the village.
At this time Tsunami came back with the food as she served the three and they began to eat.
It was a few minutes after they began eating the kid who was at the table began to look around at the team who were just having a conversation, the kid's facial features grew angry.
"So what you're just going to keep acting like you know our struggles huh?!" The kid shouts angrily. The kid had spiky black hair and dark-colored eyes, he wore a green jumpsuit with a yellow shirt and a simple pair of sandals. He also wore a blue and white striped hat.
"Inari!" Tsunami shouts out in surprise.
"No mom, these people should leave and go back to their comfortable village and their comfortable lives and leave us to deal with their own problems!" Inari shouts as he sees the people, he was shouting at continuing to eat, not really caring.
Sasuke puts down his utensil as he looks at the kid, "Look, Inari, was it? We are here to fulfill our mission and nothing else. Your own personal problems are yours and we honestly don't care. Instead of being annoying why don't you try doing something about your problems instead of whining about them." Sasuke says as he begins to eat once again.
Inari storms off angrily as Tsunami sighs, "What's his problem?" Kakashi asks.
"He doesn't exactly have trust in anyone to help him after Gato killed his father figure." Tsunami says as they keep silent, wanting to know if there was more.
"Well, his father died shortly after his birth and after a few years his father figure, Kaiza, came into his life. They bonded easily and got attached to one another like father like son, but after Gato arrived Kaiza opposed his rule and as a result he was killed. That's when Inari promised himself to never reply and attach himself to someone anymore." Tsunami explained.
"I see, as Sasuke said he went through a lot but moping around and doing nothing won't help him. Rather he does something about it than complain cause complaining won't benefit anyone." Naruto said as the group agreed. Tsunami and Tazuna also agreed although they knew that it'll be hard to try and get Inari to come to terms with the situation.
The group ate and proceeded to go to sleep. They all woke up and did the same morning routines as the previous day except this time it was Hinata's turn to guard the builders as they build the bridge. Before they left Naruto approached Kakashi and Hinata.
"Kakashi, I need to talk to you for a minute. I won't take too much of your time." Naruto said as Kakashi, while curious, nodded.
"Call Sasuke and meet me in the forest." Naruto said as he left. Kakashi remained unmoving for a second, wondering what Naruto had to say. He shook his head as he left to call Sasuke.
Kakashi and Sasuke travelled in the forest looking for Naruto. Sasuke wondered what Naruto wanted to talk to them about, seeing the seriousness in Naruto's and Hinata's face. They travelled for a bit until they found Naruto, leaning against a tree waiting for them. They landed on the ground as they slowly walked towards Naruto, Naruto got off the tree and did the same. They now stood across each other as silence filled the air. Sasuke and Kakashi were nervous but they didn't show it as Naruto's face showed nothing but seriousness unalike to his usually stoic face.
"Kakashi, Sasuke glad you could make it here on short notice. Now to what I have called you for, I want to tell you my goals, my plans for what I want to do in this world." Naruto said. The two were shocked, after so long they thought Naruto would never tell them about his plans, they just accepted that he'll stay a mystery.
"Before that, what happened to your eye?" Kakashi asked, Sasuke wondered as well.
"That'll come later. Anyway, my plan is simple; I want to rule the world by bringing the five nations together in understanding that I am above all. Separately those plans did not work as the people who dreamed of such were weak, but I am more than strong enough to achieve anything. Call it being cocky but with power like mine it's anything but that. Now, the reason I'm telling you thing is because I want both of you to join me, join me in making a world where events like the Uchiha massacre won't even dream of happening, a world where comrades won't die in pointless wars. A perfect world." Naruto says as he puts out his hands for them to take.
Sasuke was intrigued, a world where no child can ever go through what he went through, one where the future generation could live happily. Sasuke almost wanted to agree but he had a question.
"Does Hinata know about this?" Sasuke asked as Naruto nods.
"She agreed to join me, I won't hate you if do not join me but know that you will be going against me and Hinata, especially me." Naruto said.
"I'll join you, but I'm still going to kill Itachi." Sasuke said, taking Naruto's hand.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." Naruto said. Kakashi was shocked, he just watched Sasuke join hands with someone who just told them he's going to change the ninja world as they know it. Kakashi was at a cross roads, the images of his fallen friends Rin and Obito appearing to him as silhouettes. He had become depressed after the death of the two and the world Naruto promised seemed intriguing indeed, but joining him would mean betraying the leaf and he was not sure of that, he fought in a war for the sake of the village, but he also knew that Naruto was far stronger than any enemy he faced during the war and the he hadn't even seen Naruto go all out.
Naruto saw his internal struggle, "Think carefully Kakashi cause the decision you make now will determine your life in the future. Will you join me and live in a new world or will you die with the old one?" Naruto asked.
"I'll join you, seems like I have no other option." Kakashi said. He hoped he made the right decision.
"Good choice, you may go to our post, but know this Kakashi." Naruto said as he got close to Kakashi's face.
"I like you Kakashi, but if you cause me any trouble, I will not hesitate to kill you." Naruto said with a menacing glare, his rinnegan glowing purple while his Sharingan turned Mangekyo glowed red.
Kakashi nodded as he turned and left to meet Hinata at the bridge. Naruto turned to look at Sasuke, who was still in a bit of shock at Naruto's plans.
"Sasuke, how do you feel about being a Kage?" Naruto asked.
SCENE CHANGE
It had been a week since they have arrived and the wave has never been happier. The thugs that used to come and terrorize them were no longer as the ninja from Hidden Leaf had chased them out. The bridge was nearly done and the builders were sure that by the end of today it'll be complete. Kakashi knew something was going to happen as they hadn't seen Gato once during the mission so he asked the whole team to head to the bridge today to see its completion.
Team 7, and were currently standing guard at the bridge, watching as their mission slowly but surely became complete. Naruto however knew something was going to happen, having sensed hundreds of men arriving towards the bridge.
"Be ready, we have visitors." Naruto said as Team 7 looked at the same direction as Naruto. A minute later they saw hundreds upon hundreds of bandits arrive at the bridge, with a midget who wore glasses leading them.
"I'm assuming the short one is Gato." Naruto asked as Tazuna nodded, although not in fear this time knowing the ninjas were more than enough.
"Well well bridge builder seems like your little rebellion ends today, I've had enough it and today you will all die." Gato said as he turned to his men, "Make sure to bring the girl to me, she'll sell well in the market, after I've had my fun with her of course." Gato says as his men cheer.
"Bring out those two!" Gato commanded as out of the crowd; two men came out carrying two tied out bodies. The two victims were Inari and Tsunami, Tazuna's family. As soon as Tazuna saw this he was enraged, he marched on over to Gato but he felt a hand on his shoulder stop him. He turned around to shout at whoever dared to stop him but froze at what he saw.
Naruto with his hand on Tazuna's shoulder had his right eye closed as out of his rinnegan came out a single tear, not just any tear, a tear of blood. Tazuna look at the tear slowly fall from Naruto's face and as it hit the ground Naruto uttered one word.
"Amaterasu." He said, a silence filled the area for a second, but as that second passed. Gato who was now encased in black flames screamed, screamed as he was burned alive by a color of flames no one has seen before. His goons stepped away from him, Tsunami and Inari who were close to him feared the flames would affect them but as they thought that they felt a pull towards the direction of Naruto
"Universal Pull." Naruto said with his arm stretched out, Tsunami and Inari flew towards Naruto who easily caught them with both hands.
"Are you both okay?" Naruto asked as Tsunami nodded, as she did Naruto put both of them down in front of Tazuna and untied them. After their binds came off, they family of three embraced each other, happy that they were safe.
Naruto turned back to Gato as his rinnegan glowed a brighter purple, as that happened the flames on Gato burned and burned, his screams echoing in a non-hollow space but soon enough screams settled as he went quiet. The blood coming off of Naruto's eye ceases as it seemed to have reversed back into his eye, as that happened the flames that burned the billionaire disappeared, the scorch mark and ashes currently being the only evidence of Gato's existence.
Everyone looked on in shock as Gato was burned alive right in front of their eyes, the bandits who were with Gato slowly backed up from the ninja but as they turned away to run, they saw a figure forming from the ground. This figure was Naruto as a wood clone formed right in front of the bandits who were about to run. This quickly stopped them in their tracks as the clone.
I'm sorry to inform you of this but unfortunately you won't be leaving here alive." Naruto said, unsheathing his swords. The bandits looked on in fear as Naruto rushed towards them. One by one they all fell by Naruto's hand, a diagonal sword slash across the chest, a sword slashing across one's neck as it beheads him, a sword slash right in the middle of a body as it cuts him in half, a Universal Pull on to the sword as it stabs his heart. This continues on for a minute as they eventually all fall, the blood that sprayed everywhere and the sounds of metal clashing against flesh cease as Naruto, who is now in the middle of the bandits, stands alone in the pile of now dead bodies, not a drop of blood on him.
Naruto walks back to his group as he stands in front of Inari and his mother. "See? Gato and his goons are dead now, the Wave is free." Naruto says and as soon as he says that he is glomped by Inari and his mother. Who shed tears of happiness knowing the cause of all their pain is now dead.
"Thank you, thank you so much." Tsunami said as Naruto hugged them back although awkwardly, not knowing exactly how to respond to this.
The bridge builders cheered Gato's death as the villagers soon arrived at the scene, having seen Gato's men come through the village. As they saw the scene, they all cheered along with the builders, knowing now that the Wave village is free from his tyranny.
SCENE CHANGE
A few hours later the bridge was completed and the Wave village had a celebration that went on for the entire day and continue on to the next. Naruto was a bit uncomfortable as many people thanked him and praised him as if he was their hero, to them though he was; his teammates found amusement in Naruto's un-comfortability as it's rare to see him in this state.
Inari also seems to have forgotten his previous depression and became a happy child he once was before Gato arrived. He played with the kids who were also now happy with the recent events. Naruto and Team 7 were now in Tazuna's house as a day passed since the completion of the bridge. They were packing up as they prepared to leave, Naruto although wasn't not joining them this time.
"Kakashi, Sasuke, Hinata." Naruto called out as the three gathered.
"The real reason I'm on this mission is because I have another objective, one that was given to me by the Hokage himself. My true objective here is to head to the Hidden Mist village and end the civil war that is currently occurring." Naruto announced, the team was not really shocked but wondered what helping in the war would help them with.
"Hiruzen thinks I'm going there to get an alliance for the Leaf village but my true goal is to get the leader of the rebellion on my side since the leader of the rebel will undoubtedly become the next Mizukage once the current one falls." Naruto said as the three nodded.
"You three have a simple mission. Ino, Shikamaru, Choji, Neji, Tenten, Rock Lee, Kiba, Shino. I want you to try and convince them to join me and my cause. Some, like Neji, will need to be shown their place before they join.
"Why only our generation?" Sasuke asked.
"Because I want the leaders of the new world to be young and lead for a long time, plus they are easier to convince than the others." Naruto answered to which Sasuke nodded.
"Kakashi, try and get Gai on our side, someone of his caliber will be very useful." Naruto said as Kakashi agreed.
"You'll decide on who gets to convince you, I'll be gone for a month or so dealing with the war. I should be back in time for the Chunin exams where you two will most likely become Jonin afterwards." Naruto explains as he stands up to leave.
"Later." Naruto says as he flies off, leaving the team wondering what they signed up for. However, one thing that they were sure of is that whoever stands against Naruto will die.
