PtIII Rainstorm
Author's Note: I will be including the time travel arch with the difference of the third iteration of the Akastuki being present.
Thunder boomed and clapped in Konohagakure, as rain fell down hard. Things were quiet in the Nara clan headquarters. Shikadai sighed as he leaned on the window still and looked out the window. "Man what a drag….." he groaned loudly, unaware somebody was behind him. "Did you say something?" The voice threatened. Shikadai gulped and whirled around to face his mother Temari standing there holding a plate in one hand and a rag in the other.
The lightning flashed and Temari blinked; she swore she saw two figures within the shadows. Shikadai noticed this and looked to where his mother was looking then back. "Is everything okay mom?" He asked as he tilted his head. Temari shook her head "It's fine…I thought I saw something." She said the last part quietly. Shikadai blinked and sweatdropped confusedly "Uh…okay…".
On another portion of the Nara estate
A Nara clan member fell onto the cold wet ground with a splat. His eyes rolled back into his skull as Ulquiorra stood over him. "Hmm…nothing but Trash." He said as he pulled his cloak Hood over his head as the red and white clouds lined it. Grimmjow stood off into a corner and was choking a female Nara Jōnin. "Alright bitch…..where the hell is Hidan!" He yelled around him various bodies of Nara clans members.
Zetsu popped up from the ground "This isn't necessary….We located where Hidan was buried!" Both halves said simultaneously. Grimmjow dropped the female Jōnin as she landed on the ground and tried to regain her breath. Ulquiorra stood over her and simply kicked her hand away. He then raises a hand and a glowing red bullet-like object strikes her, killing her instantly.
Ulquiorra looked away with a 'humph', "Lead the way." He said in a cold and aloof manner. Zetsu nodded as he led the trio through the forest.
Hokage's office sametime
Shikamaru felt a shiver running through his spine. "You alright?" Naruto asks "Y…yes I'm fine this rain is just a drag." The door busted open as a severely injured Nara clan kuniochi came through. Shikamaru dropped his stack of papers and ran forward. "Yuki!" He cried as he caught her. "Shikamaru-sama….I…I….I…failed….three….cough cough" she coughed up blood.
"Take it easy Yuki…" Naruto jumped up and rushed over as he sent signals to his ANBU shadows hidden all over the room. "What happened? Are you okay?" He asked. Yuki turned to the hokage and raised three fingers "T…three individuals wearing Akatsuki cloaks….one looked like Black Zetsu." Naruto and Shikamaru's eyes widened and looked at each other.
"You sure?" Naruto asked more directly. Yuki nodded "They were wandering around the Nara forest and….cough cough killed numerous members of our clan" Shikamaru eyes widened even more and he ran out the room brushing past Sakura when she and several medical-nin arrived. "Whoa….hey?!" She cried as she looked at the retreating form of the elder Nara.
She then entered the room and gasped as she spotted Yuki on the floor. She and her team moved forward and began treating Yuki. Sakura then saw Naruto instructing two ANBU and she ran over to him. "What's going on?" She whispered. Naruto turned to her and took her to the side. "Have you seen any strange individuals lately?" He asked softly, and Sakura looked confused then looked over to Yuki. "It's no good…we're losing her!" Cried one of the medical-nin's.
"N…n no." She replied slowly. "Why? What's going on?" She demanded. Naruto sighed he didn't want to say it couldn't be true but with the evidence before him. He couldn't deny that "The Akatsuki is back…three of their members are searching through the Nara Forest." Sakura looked up wide-eyed as memories of Shin Uchiha flew through her mind. "You're lying…." Naruto shook his head. "I wish I was….but they killed several Nara clan members."
On the road back to Konohagakure
Sasuke grumbled as he walked back to Konohagakure accompanied by Rukia, Ichigo, Gin, and several Amegakure shinobi. Rukia was clingy onto Sasuke and rubbed her head into his arms. {"If Sakura or Sarada sees this am dead…"} They spotted Konohagakure in the distance. Gin paused as the wind blew through the trees. He tilted his head and pulled out his sword and flipped it. "Shoot to kill…..Shinsō!" He shouted as his sword shot out and smashed into several trees.
The sound of someone being stabbed was heard and several alarmed cries were also heard. At once multiple Konohagakure ANBU appeared at once. The leader spotted Sasuke and blinked in confusion "Sasuke Uchiha?" He then noticed the other people with him. Sasuke looked away in annoyance as Rukia removed herself from him. "Greetings, my name is Rukia Kuchiki, the new leader of Amegakure. I will be staying in Konohagakure until the upcoming Kage meeting."
The ANBU blinked and looked towards Sasuke who just nodded. An injured ANBU appeared from the forest. He looked around in confusion "Ugh what happened." The lead ANBU sighed "Send a message to the Hokage at once."
Meanwhile in another location
The rain slowed to a soft crawl as a body landed in a puddle and blood mixed with the muddy water. Standing over him was a young fair skinned adult woman with a scratched out Sunagakure headband and an Akatsuki cloak. She had long black hair tied as a ponytail. She retracted her hand back as Chakra threads wiped in the area. Standing by her is a tall male individual with dull-blue, shoulder-length hair, and golden eyes. He rested his sword on his shoulder and pulled out a cigarette and an orange snake themed lighter.
"Humph this is too easy." He grumbled, "I don't like to be kept waiting…we need to find that missing shipment." His companion replied as she scanned the landscape. "Are you sure your agent was right about the intel?" He asked in response, as he turned to her. She looked at him and just walked down the road he sighed and followed after her. He looked up at the still cloudy sky and held out his hand. {"It's gonna be a rainstorm…"} He sighed and rushed forward to keep up with his companion.
Similar location a mile away
Metal Lee sighed as he rested up against a tree Iwabe and Denki sat around the base of the same tree. Iwabe groaned audibly "Man it's been a whole hour, when is Sensei Ise getting back?" Metal Lee looked around and noted their team leader was taking an extremely long time for a simple scouting run. Denki pulled out his laptop and began typing away. He blinked as he pulled up a Security footage of two individuals. "Maybe he ran into these guys?" He said as pointed at the screen. Iwabe and Metal Lee kneeled down next to him and looked at the screen.
"Yo I heard of those guys…Akatsuki I think, they were called. They were made up of S-rank missing-nin." Metal and Denkai looked at their fellow teammate and Denkai began typing away on his computer. "Huh..I can't really find anything online." He wailed in shock. Iwabe and Metal scratched their heads
Meanwhile Udon Ise jumped from tree branch to tree branch. His plan was to scout out the area while the rest of Team 5 stayed behind to protect the camp. He looked around and he had a weird feeling from the get go. For starters the villager elder was acting weird and during a conversation with his daughter Udon overhead they already hired a group of mercenary ninjas, but some in the village feared reprisals from Konohagakure so sent a mission request form to the Hokage. {"Why would they fear a reprisal from Konohagakure….smaller villagers hiring mercs or smaller villages isn't uncommon as they're usually more affordable than the larger villages."}.
Udon then almost fell when he heard a large explosion from the west. Metal Lee, Iwabe, and Denkai all jumped to their feet as the shockwave hit them. "Whoa?!" Denkai cried and Metal Lee cried in unison as they hugged each other. "What the fuck was that?!" Iwabe shouted as he grabbed his staff/sword, prepared to fight whoever or whatever it was that caused the explosion and shockwave.
Explosion site
Several bandits laid dead all over the ground as the bandit camp was turned into a barren wasteland. One stood up and he looked around in shock and he held onto his bleeding shoulder blade. Suddenly a massive rushing noise was heard as a rumbling sound occurred behind him. He hesitated to turn around when he did; he was shocked to see a massive wall of iron sand rushing towards him. It then transformed into a massive hand that was about to crush him. The bandit whimpered with fear when a shadow rushed in and grabbed him.
Udon grunted as he cartwheeled on the ground holding the Bandit close to him. He stood up and dusted himself off and hissed as he felt a cut on his wrist. He helped the Bandit stand up. "You alright?" He asked the bandit who nodded quickly "T..t..thanks…and…yes." Udon then eyed the destruction cautiously as he kept his hand on his weapons pouch. "What happened here?" He asked in a low whisper. The bandit gulped as he heard noises and rumbles "We were attacked….two mercenaries…with cloaks with the red cloud pattern" he said still looking around.
Udon's eyes widened and looked at the bandit in shock "Wait you said cloak with red cloud patterns?!" Before the bandit could respond a loud 'squelch' was heard throughout the area. As a sword was seen sticking through his stomach. The bandits' brown eyes turned lifeless after a few seconds as his body collapsed onto Udon. The sword was withdrawn and Udon had only a split second to dodge a massive square shaped obstacle that transformed Into a sea of iron.
Udon landed on a nearby tree branch as he still held onto the now deceased body of the bandit. He laid the bandit on the branch and closed his eyes. He turned to face the dust cloud. He narrowed his eyes and looked left and right cautiously. {"Cloaks with the red cloud pattern….definitely Akatsuki….but this can't be…"} his musing was cut short by a 'tch' his eyes locked on to the voice. The dust cloud slowly dissipated revealing the woman from earlier floating a cloud of Iron sand.
She held up her hand in a strange configuration that looked familiar to Udon. "I hate being kept waiting…." She said as she moved her hands almost as if she was in a captivating dance. Udon blinked and suddenly felt movement from the rear and the left and right flanks. He dodge an arrow from the flanks and behind. He turned around and found himself surrounded by the corpses of the bandits who had been killed earlier.
Meanwhile
Iwabe, Metal, and Denkai rushed toward the source of the explosion as fast as they could. "We have to hurry!" Denkai arrived "I agree it is unyouthful to leave our Sensei on his own!" Metal cried out in agreement. Iwabe and Denkai sweatdropped "uh…Okay…but hold up someone is up ahead." Iwabe said as the trio slowed down. They came to a stop in a clearing not far from the explosion. Iwabe landed first and scanned the area. {"This chakra signature….it feels familiar…almost like..Mitsu…"} his thought was cut off by the shout/activation of a jutsu from behind.
"Paralysis technique!" A long black shadow snaked its way across the clearing and connected with Iwabe's shadow. {"D…D…Damn it…he was behind me!"} Iwabe gnashed his teeth in frustration as he was instantly paralyzed. "Iwabe!" Shouted Denkai as Metal Lee gripped his knuckles and launched forward. "Dynamic entry!" He shouted as he aimed a kick toward the back of the mysterious figure's head. The figure tilted his head upward and moved slightly out the way so that Lee sailed past and dead center into a tree. Metal Lee collided with the tree and knocked himself unconscious. Denkai's jaw dropped as Iwabe wanted to facepalm.
"Hmm…so these are the Konohagakure shinobi I keep hearing about…..I must say…I'm disappointed" he said as he sat down Buddha style as Denkai sweatdropped {"He…he..he just wrote us off?!"} The mysterious shinobi looked up to where Denkai was hiding. "I take it you're gonna hide there….." he said as he performed hand seals and summoned several shadow clones and they body-flickered to where Denkai was. Denkai was forced to dodge Taijutsu from one clone and highly skilled sword strikes from the other.
He body-flickered a few feet back and got out his Kunai. He found some courage "You made a mistake in writing off Konohagakure shinobi!" The armored cloaked figure's clones both chuckled. "I may have…" began the one with the sword as he drew a second sword and got into a stance. "But…as the saying goes, action speaks louder than words!" Finished the Taijutsu clone.
Meanwhile
Udon gritted his teeth as he was thrown back. He was panting heavily and gripped two kunai as he faced down what was left of the corpse army of bandits. {"She is a puppet and iron sand user….I believe she is the daughter of the Third Kazekage and student of Sasori of the Red sand…this is bad we need reinforcements….."}.He paused and eyes widened as he felt a flare of chakra to his far left. "Wha…" "It seems my partner is keeping your students busy."
Udon's eyes widened even more and he quickly recomposed himself. "Then I will have to hurry then." He got into a stance and performed hand seals. Baja looked away from him "You're wasting my time…." She said darkly as she raised her hand and stretched out her palm. The wind picked up as the sea of sand swirled around Udon. "So….disappear…." She finished as she crushed her hand and raised it up. "Iron Sand Technique:….Rain of Heavens!" The sand suddenly flew up and transformed into multiple giant spears and one by one they came raining down crashing all around and on top of Udon's position.
