Tuesday, ten am

The shrill sound of the icelark outside her window woke up the sleeping young woman. The day before was one hell of a celebration and for the first time, she had gotten quite drunk. Crystal was, by Dragon standards, officially an adult at the age of just twenty seven human years.

The silver haired woman sat up in bed, bleary eyed she blinked and looked around her room, she remembered her mom had been busy and left her with some friends, did Lizzy get her the room she was asleep in ? The woman stumbled from the bed, face-planting briefly on the floor before getting firmly to her feet. Stumbling to the bathroom she took a look in the mirror,

And chuckled at what she saw. She saw herself, with severe bedhead. Nothing a quick magic shift couldn't fix! Though the thought made her dizzy, Crystal instead acted like a human and did her best to comb her hair. By the time she was presentable there was a knock at the door.

"Who is it ?" Crystal called out

"Room service" Came the unmistakable voice of nobody else but her beloved mother. "Are you up girl ? Liz said you were dead-weight last night and your friends couldn't carry you, so they gave me the room key" Diamond was in the main part of the two room suite

"I'm awake yeah, presentable is debatable. Anyone seen Grandma yet ?" Light had been missing now for three years, and it worried Diamond a little, so she had promised her daughter that when she came of age. In this case once she turned twenty seven years old and had her first Dragonspire Whiskey Marmolo on the rocks. She'd tell the whole story to her daughter.

"That's why I'm here dear" Diamond replied, "Your father would have come, but Lady Waterlight asked him to help train some more of the Light Legionnaires." Diamond sighed as Crystal came out of the bathroom, a towel rubbing the water out of her ears. "So I will give you the summary." Diamond explained then "Mom is missing. Nobody, not even my sister, Xeir, knows where she is, or where she went or what she does in her spare time when alone."

"I thought Aunt Xeir said Grandma likes to make more kids ?" Crystal asked her mother, earning a chirp of laughter from the older Silver.

"If only that were true." Diamond replied as she looked at her daughter, born of a Silver Dragon and a Force Dragon, Crystal was, neither, but a fusion somehow of both, a Crystal Dragon, an incredibly rare type of dragon.

Her cousin Lizzy, was a Light Dragon, like her grandmother was, born of Two Silvers apparently, but nobody had seen her uncle, Kaldas body in generations, not since he left to fight the Shadowblack, Kethend, the Queen of Shadows, the one responsible for the death opf Xeir in the first place

But now her aunt, Crystal had to remember, was quite alive, and things were going to get along just fine now that they were all safe and sound in their true realm, the Mythic Realm when compared t othe Mortal Realm, was so much more fun to explore.

It was actually funny now that Crystal remembered it, when she first met her aunt Xeir, it was a rather entertaining meeting, mostly because of the fact that Lizzy was there, and recently recovered from a dire issue with her frail body. So that meant that the three year old Crystal and the sixteen year old Lizzy met, traded names, and then the very first thing they did as cousins was fight over who got the turkey leg first.

Naturally it went to of all people, a human, but was he really human ? Sure didnt feel like it to Crystal, the Man was named Mark Wolfe. Diamond supplied both girls with another turkey leg each however and also scolded Mark for the theft of the original leg.

Mark of course had insisted that him taking the leg meant no broken bodies between both girls, that and Lizzy outweighed Crystal by like, five tons anyway.

Crystal however was instantly taken with the technology minded Cheetah-Snow Leopard hybrid named Tamond. Whose nickname, Loo Brush made Crystal giggle. So for the first five years since they had met, Tamond had been known as "Loo-Loo" much to his disliking the name, he found it endearing and decided that only Crystal could call him that, even going so far as to forbid Umi from calling him that nickname. Mostly because he logically used technology and was the only one aside from their mother who could fix their shit quickly when they needed it done fast. So that extent, Umi grudgingly agreed to her tiny brothers terms and continued to call him Loo Brush, to which Tamond just chose to go with because correcting Umi regardless of him taking care of her tech, was just not possible.

But he never bothered to correct Crystal or Lizzy for the nicknames when both girls were younger than he.

Crystal set the towel in the hamper. "So whats wrong, mom ? You're normally not this brow beaten, normally you're hyper, like dad and I" Crystal said, it earned a smile from her mother.

"Sweetie, you and your cousin Lizzy are going to do this empire a huge favor." She said, she presented her daughter with a set of keys.

"Keys" Crystal said in thought as she looked at them. "Keys are good"

"Yes, keys are indeed good, you'll see when you use these keys on your new ship at Hangar One Five Three on the Crystal Palace where we live, you can find exactly why I am giving you these keys." Diamond told her

"Wait, One five three ? Momma, that's the Royal Dockyards! Why would I go there ?" Crystal asked, she wasnt allowed at the royal dockyards without either her mother or father. But to go there with a set of keys to a cruiser that could go into space was unlike anything Crystal had dreamed of.

"Because that is where your mision begins" Diamond went onto explain that finding her grandmother was the main task, but the other task was to ensure Xeir and Diamond could eliminate TheDragonWatch, and then there was the third task, find Uncle Kaldas body.

"Oh … Okay ?" Crystal said in thought, clearly confused of her mission.

"Dont worry, Elizabeth got the same chat from Xeir, I'm doing it just vertabatim with you. You go to the Royal Docks, level one five three, and you show those keys to the dock master. He will then lead you to the ship, you'll meet Lizzy there. You'll have to get yourself a crew for it. So your dad took care of some of that for now. But I'll let you travel the stars with Liz to find your Grandmother, and your uncles body." Diamond smiled at her daughter. "Can you do that ? Can you do that for your aunt and I ?" She asked

Crystal was thoughtful for a moment, then she nodded. "Yeah, Momma, I can do that. I'll head for the Royal Dockyards now." She said, the two women hugged then and Crystal tied back her hair.

"Before you leave on your venture, talk to your father, I'm sure he'll have some advice for you. And if you want to, I'd recommend it, at least take the Twins along" Diamond meant Marks older twin sisters, the Elisar twins of Serena and Serenity. The twin daughters of Snowfeather. The Tigris girls could be a huge help and they doted on Lizzy and Crystal as it was.

Sure both women were in their fourties, but they acted like a bunch of teenagers half their age! Almost constantly tacklehugging their brother and all but flattening the poor guy. Just thinking of having the two women along for the adventure made Crystal smile

Crystal nodded to her mother. "Alright mom, I'll talk to Dad and see what he knows." Crystal said, she smiled however and continued "I think the Twins would be great to have along. They've only been on Earth their whole lives, while you and Dad have been with Aunt Xeir to different worlds."

"Hopefully they'll keep their manners, last thing you'll want is bail them out of jail or have half the galaxy searching for them" Diamond smirked, it made boith women laugh and then Crystal went off on her own as Diamond headed back to the Crystal Palace.

The Royal Dockyards

"Ah, so you're the other one huh ?" Asked a guard on duty, the Light Legionarre on duty would have much rather been training with his peers on the ground instead of watching the dockyard. But then again, the Royal Docks were an important location in all of the Crystal City, just one step below the personal chambers of Light and her family, which was then one step below the throneroom.

"You met up with someone else with a key like me already ?" Crystal asked the soldier. He nodded. If Lizzy had come by that way it meant she was already waiting for Crystal to join her so they could get underway. "Other then princess Lizzy, my cousin, have any others requesting to see me been through here ?"

"Aye, a young lady, called herself Princess Elizabeth, said she had a key for the Gainasi, a Lightsparrow class cruiser. There were two women with her" The soldier replied, he rubbed his forhead. "For someone like her to have a control key to a Lightsparrow class cruiser means something big is going down." He then realised that Crystal mentioned Lizzy by her nickname and straightened up. He didnt want to let the All-Mother down by loafing at his post

"In what way ?" Crystal asked as he allowed her to pass through the guardpost gate.

"Well, the All-Mother is still missing, all anyone knows of where she went is because of her journal your... I suppose I could call him your uncle ? The guy named Mark Wolfe. He's in possession of it." The soldeir replied as he lead her towards a gangway gantry.

"So uncle Mark has grandmas journal ? Why ?" Crystal wondered aloud.

"Couldnt hope to tell you my lady, please watch your step, its a long way down" The soldier allowed Crystal to head off after informing her of where the dock for the Gainasi was located.

A few minutes later and Crystal spotted her father, admiring the cruiser. "Dad ?" Crystal said as she stepped up next to him.

"Ah, Crystal, Been wondering when you were gonna show up" Nara said to her, "Lizzy is already inside, the Twins too, but before you get aboard, I have a few things I need to tell you in regards to your mission."

"What ?" Crystal turned to her father, confusion in her voice. "My mission ?"

"Yes, you and Lizzy were given this ship because of Waterlights orders, apparently your Grandma made sure this ship and its initial crew were to be yours at the right time, now is the right time." Nara told her.

"Meaning ?" Crystal had just turned twenty seven years old, she still had a killer hangover. "What exactly is my mission, dad ?"

"Three main things are on your list of TO DO" Nara said, while holding up four fingers, then lowering one. Her fathers antics made her smile. "Number one, you need to find your grandmother. Wherever she may be, you must remember though that the Outer Reaches is like the Carribean sea back on Earth. So you and your crew will have to acte like it, you can be privateers or pirates, up to you." He told her.

"Find Grandma, got it." Crystal said writing in a note pad she produced from a pocket of her fathers coat. She looked at her father. "What are the other two missions ?" she asked him.

Nara held up two fingers, "The second mission is even harder, you need to find your uncle, Kaldas, body, or at least his buial place. Nobody knows where Grandma did it, we only know she went somewhere alone. One day we had Kaldas remains here in the palace laying in state, next thing we know, he's gone and Grandma with him, shortly after going berzerk trying to find her, she showed up in her throne room as if nothing was wrong. Never told anyone what she did with his body" Nara said, which meant that Nara didnt even know where his friend was buried. "Look, sweetheart, my dear child, all I know is, your Uncle Kalda's soul is inside your Uncle Marks braincase, and Mark didnt take too well to your Aunt Xeir killing his wife when she took her soul."

"What ?" That was the kind of info not many told her about. If at all

Nara realised what he just said and put a hand to his temple. "Now Im gonna have to explain all this to you, which itself is an insanely complcated and long story so I will sum it up. Kethend mortally wounded your Aunt, your aunt cast out her soul onto a mortal woman, that soul became the queen of Arendelle, the Nothing, Elsa, with me so far dear ?" Nara explained, Crystal nodded, he went on "However, DiT had resurrected Xeir by merging Elsa with Xeirs body, body and soul reunited as one being, end result, Elsa died when she rejoined with your aunt" Nara explained as best he could

"So it is Aunt Xeir, not Queen Elsa ?" Crystal asked as Nara nodded "That is Lizzys mom ?" That was confusing "What about Aunt Tiri ?"

"Thats right" Nara nodded, "Your aunt Xeir, not queen Elsa, is Lizzy's mother, Lizzy's father, Kaldakava, we need his remains, the journal your Uncle Mark has details the exact needs to resurrect a deceased body. So long as the original soul is next to it. In the case of Tiri though, she made a deal with DiT that whatever remains that were used to rebuild Xeirs destroyed draconic body did not belong to Tiri, allowing the Icewrath to survive xeirs resurrection"

"But about the last mission, you said I had three ?" Crystal looked at her dad in waiting for his big reveal.

"Ah yes the third mission!" Nara said extravagantly holding up three fingers, "Missons uno and dose have been detailed, but Mission Tres still needs the big gotta tell all!" It made Crystal chuckle at her fathers antics. "The fact of the matter is" Nara got series, "It concerns TheDragonWatch, and their splinter group, Shadow Mist Sect"

"You mean the guy Lizzy and I met a few months ago ? What was his name, Calm Mind or such ?" Crystal asked him

"Exactly! Calm Mind is only one of several key members of Shadow Mist Sect, but TheDragonWatch doesnt know about them... yet. Take this" Nara handed her a item, a packet of information, and a clear box with some vials of blood in it. "This belonged to a defector in TheDragonWatch by name of Lady Isabella Crystalis, she had planned to join Shadow Mist Sect, but shes dead now" Nara said to his daughter, seemingly bored as he picked at his teeth.

"You didnt eat her, did you, dad ?" Crystal asked him sternly, as if pouting at him for being bad and eating a human.

"Now why in the world does the Mortal Realm think Dragons eat people ? Its not like we stick 'em on a spit and roast them over a open fire! Nah, we take them to dinner and then eat our fill of whatevers left of the buffet..." Nara then realised what he said and smacked himself in the forehead. "That sounded so much better in my head"

"So my task is to find Grandma, infiltrate TheDragonWatch or Shadow Mist whichever they are at this point, and then also find Uncle Kaldas body or at least his burial mound ?" Crystal said. "Am I right so far, Dad ?"

"That is correct on all counts dear child." Nara said, He ambled towards the gangplank. "Like I mentioned, Lizzy and the Twins are already on board and more then likely waitying for you as we speak, I'd recommend to get aquanited with the crew if you are able before heading off. Its a long way to Nirvana" Nara told her.

As they stood at the gangplank, Crystal shrugged her shoulders. "My own ship and crew, just me and Lizzy, so if we go the pirate route, dont panic about the news that comes back here, alright ?"

Nara looked at his daughter, a happy smile on his face. "Oh look at you, my only daughter, all grown up. Go do your Momma and I proud girl!" He said, he gave her a hug and peck on each cheek, nearly giving her whiplash as he then stepped from the gangplank. "Good luck sweetheart. May this venture broaden your horizons, and bring home your Grandmother!"

With that said, Nara watched as Crystal climbed up the gangplank onto her ship before he himself disappeared among the dockworkers.

Once aboard her ship, Crystal took a moment to orient herself before going up to the third deck of the five deck ship, the third deck was basically in the middle, above it on deck four was t6he crew quarters, if they needed to carry passengers that was possible on the second and third deck, the third deck also held the main meeting room and dining room. It also had the bridge at the forefront of the ship.

Stepping into it the door faded open as she neared it. She spotted a few dragons, one of them a larger Amythest dragon named Art, she remembered the big guy, really sweet and gentle, always there when needed to care for Crystal, looked like he was still with her. "Art ?" Crystal said upon sight of him

The horns floating on the Amythest dragons head and back danced with his mood and at his name he brightened conmsiderably, making the colors on his scales of horns dance with joyus blues and greens "Ah, lady Crystal, When Princess Elizabeth said you were to be expected it made me wonder if she was drinking with you too much, but I am glad that she spoke truth because having you at the helm makes this so much easier."

"What exactly is your job aboard the Gainasi ?" Crystal asked him

"I am your quartermaster, I will oversee everything aboard ship and ensure your orders are carried out. I will also act as head of security aboard ship as well" Art replied

It made Crystal smile, it also made her happier, with Art aboard overseeing the needs of the crew and ensuring that everything was accounted for, it meant that Crystal as Captain, and Lizzy as firt mate, made everything smooth sailing.

"Where is my cousin now ?" Crystal asked

"She went to inspect the crews quarters, if you hurry you might find her up there, otherwise she might be overseeing stowing of remaining cargo to get us to Nirvana" Art replied

"Thank you Art, see that we're ready to cast off when the time arrives to do so" Crystal said, with Art overseeing things on the bridge, that meant she could give command to move the ship if needed, or even stop it. Crystal turned and left the way she had come.

Crystal found her cousin in the conference room one deck lower. "Ah there you are" Lizzy said upon sight of her. "You seem troubled, something on your mind cousin ?"

"I spoke with my parents before getting on board, my mom at the hotel you guys got me a room in, and my dad here at the ship. Dad never came aboard." Crystal replied

"So you got told what we're supposed to do huh ?" Lizzy asked her as they walked the ship

"Yup, Dad said I had three tasks, what about you ?" Crystal said to her

"Mom only told me to "raise hell, and if anyone tries to stop you, do what comes natural" In other words, Mom, as Grandmas daughter, has final say over what happens to us or our crew should we take to piracy on this venture." Lizzy said to her cousin.

Her cousins words made her smile. "So you are not the least bit worried that if we find Grnadma she could override Aunt Xeir ?" Crystal asked as they walked along the ships corridor.

Lizzy jerked to a halt. She raised a hand and pointed a finger at her cousin as Crystal also stopped "Wait," That made Lizzy stare at her cousin, just the mere mention of looking for their grandmother. "We're looking for Grandma Light ?" Crystal nodded, "You're kidding ?" Crystal shook her head

"Its true cousin, we're looking for Grandma Light, and also Uncle Kaldas burial mound, Its somewhere in the Outer Reaches. Dad even said we can have fun doing it as privateers or pirates, its up to us" Crystal said

"You're not kidding" Lizzy grumbled. "Ok fine, we find Grandma, then what ? If we do it as pirates she might jail us for it."

"We find Grandma, we find Uncle Kaldas burial site, and finally we have to destroy a splinter group of TheDragonwatch, some group called Shadow Mist Sect. Ever hear of them ?" Crystal explained their mission as the last of the cargo was stowed aboard. The two headed for the bridge as Crystal spoke.

"Yeah, Mom had to deal with one or two of their members. And you and I met up with that Calm Mind freak too." Lizzy replied as Crystal nodded, "so we take out Shadow Mist, find dads burial site, and find Grandma, sounds easy enough." Lizzy said as the two went to the Bridge of their ship.

Minutes later the word came that the ship was cleared to leave the dog as Crystal and Lizzy entered the bridge, Art stood at his post, the steering controls were directly at the console, there were two of them in a typical Lightsparrow class cruiser, but the Gainasi was modified for only a single user input to be done.

Crystal took the helm as Lizzy took her station as first mate near the navigation controls. "We're cleared to leave the dock, according to docking crew all moring lines have been disconnected and the gangway removed." Lizzy reported

"Perfect" Crystal said as she took the helm and gently lifted the Gainasi from the dock and into the air. Moving the ship ever quicker before getting them into space. "Its a three day trip to Nirvana, so lets study up on the location to visit no ?" With that, the Gainasi entered deep space headed for the remote planets of the Outer Reaches of the Mythic Realm.
