Next morning, they met again at the dining room which was decorated with a few jars and wooden furniture and what's so special about this room was the left side of the wall, made up with entire glass that you can enjoy the scenery to heart's content (only floating rock, rocky mountain and puppet vehicles). They had separated since getting out of the temple after her constant jab on forbidden topics and Sakura had no chance to see him in person throughout yesterday.

Deliberately, she had planned something in order to persuade him to stop the destruction of the earth and see the beauty of current life with the hope that someone like him could change..like the certain Uchiha. Thinking about him granted her the mixed feeling.

Focusing on her task, Sakura had prepared breakfast for them before morning. Seasoning grilled fish with mushroom and asparagus, miso soup, a slightly-burnt egg roll and normal fried pork - normal breakfast set that you could find at a convenient store in front of the school or office area. All were struggling as she rarely got into the kitchen and thanks to him then she had to force herself into the kitchen! She inevitably had to use the kitchen and cook something for him per his request that he wanted to eat something from her cooking. Hoping, it could rekindle them again after a little quarrel.

Sakura grimaced inwardly as there's no word left in his mouth since he sat on the chair and began to eat quietly like it's a natural thing to do every morning. At least, give her the compliment! she hoped silently.

"Good" He let out finally.

"Your cook is delicious" that's a big relief for her to hear but..hey why should I have to feel glad by his acceptance? her jaw slacked from her flow of emotion from his praise.

Chewing and drinking the water "It's homey and fresh. It made me feel like I had breakfast with all of my family and clan again" He said after putting his chopsticks into the empty bowl of rice and gave her a smile of gratitude, maybe for her service.

Sakura nodded and finished her portion as well. She played with a rim of her cloth as she still had no idea what's he thinking about her from previous day- she intentionally and stupidly announced about to destroy his treasure, Tenseigun and asked him to stall his plan. It seemed like she asked the tiger to not eat meat.

"That makes me complete one of your demands right?" Sakura started and earned a nod from him.

"Can you do it again tomorrow? Whatever menu is okay. Breakfast, lunch or dinner whatever you can choose" oi oi oi it's getting too much now, she inwardly scowled and frowned that was noticed by him.

"I can but make it a second demand? I'm also a woman of a word. I don't want to break a promise after you got me in that temple" her last sentence was faded quietly.

Toneri chewed his lip in thought and crossed his chest "…nope it's still the first one" her jaw dropped slightly at his capricious request. Her brain still worked on the option if she refused what would happen afterward as she's the one causing trouble for herself.

Toneri chuckled at her inner conflicted and said "you can deny"

It made her thin brows rise and eyes widening in expectant of his calculation - she looked kind of goofy but still pretty.

"Why?"

"I will find a counter argument to win over you and that's hilarious" he paused and then continued what he found would be the most indulgent action in his life. "So that we can have something to chat together..you know it's kind of fun to have someone talk to you", putting his elbow on the table and resting his chin on one of his palms, looking straight at her even though he closed his eyes.

Toneri sipped tea and huffed at the aromatic scent. "It's actually been a long time since I can be stubborn to someone. And that person's you Sakura" finished with his soft smile but for her it's a deeply subtle sad smile that tried to hide. He should have been so lonely to stay alone without any humans. Living in a distant area with the puppets, no friends, no family. How could he survive? which made her heart arch.

Sakura cleared her throat "I can cook for you. No need to argue with each others" she felt sorry enough for his life.

"But I love arguing with you. When you're angry, it's very funny"

Sakura pounded on the table that made every plate and silver wears shook "what! I'm not a joker, you know!"

"I really mean it! When you're angry, you don't look fearful at all! You look kind of funny and cute" that's uncalled for but still called a blush over her cheek - her fire earlier faded by his frank and innocent action. She felt like she's talking with another version of Naruto but this man also possessed a mysterious element like Uchiha.

"Baka! Stop it!" Sputtering on her words, Sakura tried her best to keep her action down.

Toneri snickered in amusement "by the way, perhaps you consider your stay here?"

It's like a hard drop of rock into calm water. Blinking in disbelief on her ears and shaking her head to call for her conscious, "What do you mean?" Sakura asked in flabergashing.

"I really meant what I said. You should consider staying here and forget about going back on earth" then his demeanor changed suddenly from childish to serious mode. "Earth has been twisted in bad shape by the exploitation of chakra for its own needs. It should be cleansed" his voice was determined in what he said and planned while it gave her a goosebump on how far Toneri could go. Yeah probably far..no absolutely far for sure. She knew exactly this man meant the real business on the earth.

Sakura came up with the soft smile as she managed to give him, there's still a frown over her brows. "I know what you mean but my life's on the earth. My family, my friends, my teammates, my teacher and everyone in Konoha. They're precious to me"

Toneri hissed in a mild frustration because of how much he could achieve to convince her. "Forget about them and start a new life here" He just said it's like you push a button of 'a new game' and she didn't find it amusing at all for his thought and offer.

"I can't!"

"Yes you can" Toneri insisted with a plain face and firm voice to show he meant no joke this time in his words.

"If we're going to talk about this, okay Toneri..please reconsider this option. I don't want you to destroy the earth. You can live a normal life and you can visit the earth as you pleased. We can hang out sometimes, I will introduce you to my teammates. See this option sounds way more promising and better?"

Toneri huffed in response "then Sakura considered this option as well. Forgot all of them on the earth and start a new life with me"

Sakura was taken aback at his words. She never thought he would say something like this but she still wanted to be a brake to put an end to his plan no matter what she would take on.

"Fine if I choose to stay here, you should stop destroying the earth. It's my home" Sakura tried to bail him out as much as she could but thought of sacrificing herself in exchange for the earth. It's quite good tho… , however, what's about her mom and dad? What about her friends? Naruto and..Sasuke? Thinking of him, it constricted her heart tightly. Did he know where she's now?

Sakura shook her head as she heard his snort. "Y-you have to respect my decision too if we have to stay here together! You can't take all things on your own demands" It sounded weird for a man asking a woman to live with him, like they're going to live together before getting a marriage but for her perspective, she wasn't happy at all - like she's on the edge to determine what should she do to stall his plan and put an end to this BS.

Toneri gritted his teeth because his patient's running low. "Only your family are allowed here"

Sakura tsk inwardly because it's not all what she wanted, she wanted him to stop.

"And..-" she's cut by his holding hand to put a halt on her speaking.

"Enough for this matter" Holding his hand up, Toneri smoothed his cloth when he's standing from a chair.

Sakura felt she's so small when his commanding tone was loud and clear. The worrisome still painted on her face clearly and noticed He's not good at handling the flux of emotions all at once and so did she.

"You're really talkative today, Sakura"

Toneri let out a sigh when didn't hear her response "you're so annoying sometimes"

This twisted her stomach in many knots. This sentence raised many emotions to her even more and Toneri also caught her sensitivity because she shook her head, looked fidgeted and faltered at the same time.

Sasuke-kun…come and help me..

Even though they were distant, something still reminded her of him in a strange way. What Toneri said to her triggered her pandora's box of Uchiha Sasuke. Grimence, she didn't want to ask for his help - scream in fear, close her eyes then he would protect her like genin day, she wanted to be strong but for somehow, she wanted him to be here and took her out of this place. She knew that she may not be able to handle this situation as well as she imagined because she's too cooped up in the most emotional and sensitive way with Toneri.

It's her flaw that's why she couldn't put her punch straight to the problem directly. Dilemma, she learnt more about him, she also wanted to save Toneri from his past as well.

"Oi woman, you seem off" she snapped to reality once. The white haired man flicked her forehead softly but it raised the sleeping butterflies in her stomach because it's Sasuke's action. Up until now, Sakura also realized she still had feelings for Sasuke.

"Hey don't do that to me like that" Sakura hissed back.

"Why then?"

She grunted, tried to calm herself "it's what my teammate said and did to me and..I want it to be only from him. At least let me keep this memory"

Toneri sucked his breath into a snort "hmph… woman.. emotional.."

"..I admit I sometimes am emotional on this matter" Sakura confessed the truth.

"Your teammate? Naruto or Sasuke? If I'm not wrong, Naruto's not the option because I saw him having a bonding with princess Hinata so..it left you with Sasuke" Sakura's heart dropped to her ankle from his harsh words, Damn…like opening a new wound the she sighed at his memory and how he reasoned. She couldn't say anything as she's agape at her words

"So where's he?" Toneri pretended to look around "introduce him to me" and a big lie.

"I don't know.." her voice was unstable and not confident like it used to be.

Toneri used this chance to push it further as he wanted to dominate over her. "Doesn't he concern about your being and safety"

"…I don't know" Pink haired girl shook her head and lowered her green sea-formed eyes at the ground in dull.

"Have he thought about you? Do you know what his opinion on you?"

Sakura shook her head more violently "I don't know!" Her voice nearly was a scream and the hit tear coming over the corner of her eyes.

Right at the moment, a pair of hands cupped hers together "But you know I am concerned about you and you know what I am thinking about you" surprised, Sakura slowly lifted her face to meet him. "Forgot about all these and live in this land..at the moon with me" Otsutsuki young leader gently wiped her tears with his slender finger. This sole action with his deep baritone voice sent a shiver to every bone in her body and shattered her concentration on the goal. Maybe he's right? Who knows?

However, did he flirt with me?

Sakura ,in fact, possessed the element of a decent woman, her knowledge and attitude were also the shine;even though she never had a confidence about getting to date any men as she mostly invested for the certain Uchiha.

"Are you…for real?" Toneri lifted his brows in her question. "I mean…the way you act is like you're trying to flirt with me"

Then his serious demeanor was replaced with the brat one. With a smirk, he said "who know? we will find out and meet me at my room after dinner okay?"

"Why? What do you want me to do?" Sakura asked, a bit of frustration as this man got under her weakness about man: she's a confident and capable kunoichi but as a normal girl, Sakura's not confident about man at all - she never know what man think and dare not to reveal her feeling or else it would end up with Uchiha's curse again. She just wanted a man to show her his true intention first before she could act and comply. Sasuke never showed as well as this man and also acted in mysterious ways. How much they would disturb her head and make it run around in the endless circle of uncertainty.

"My second wish" Sakura waited for him to speak.

"I want to try sleeping with you. I want to know how it feel to have someone sleep beside you and wake up with"

It's beyond her ability to analyze the way to weasel out.

Naruto…Sasuke-kun…help me…I think I created another problem that I unintentionally did and it returned me into another knot.

Sasuke-kun…

"Sa..ugh…." At another portal, a group of Konoha shinobi were using one of old building to be their temporal hideout because of the previous incident when Sasuke crashed with Toneri resulting that he's injured and unconscious a few days so the team agreed to wait and plan for their next move until the sole survival of Uchiha prodigy regained his strength as they all didn't know the basic of medical jutsu to cure him. Until a moment ago, the raven haired man gained his consciousness, coughing out loud before elbowing him up to meet every eye.

"Teme..are you feeling better?" It's Naruto who broke the eerie silence among them, holding a worried look on his face.

Sasuke push himself up from the sleeping bag of someone "how long I'm unconscious"

"one night" his answer received a big wide eyes from Sasuke. Grunting, Sasuke still felt a sore on his body and eye sockets but he can't wait anymore, trying to stand up while the team tried to stop him because he almost crumpled down.

Frowning, Naruto tried to search for the words while the leader of the team began, "Sasuke, are you sure you're able to stand up and go on a journey?" Shkamaru said with a seriousness over his face "you should take a rest to fully recover or else you'll put us in a bad position. I don't mean to blame you, don't get me wrong but I can't lose any team members from reckless actions" He sighed and put his hands over his neck, resting on the nearby tree "we also don't have medic so take a good care by yourself" and he lighted his last cigarette, release a white smoke out of his mouth. Grunting, Sasuke didn't like this decision but it can't be undone for what happened to him that almost lost his life to the sneaking attack, plus he didn't want to be a burden to the team as well that caused his unsatisfactory.

"Mnn" Sasuke nodded and rested himself over a wall and adjusted for a better seating position.

Shikamaru didn't want to prod any further as he accidentally spilled about the lack of medic, which may have raised his concern over Sakura. Glancing over the raven haired man with stoic face, Shikamaru couldn't tell what he was thinking. They rarely had a talk since academy, just had some conversations about his report but it's about work-base dialogue.

However, one thing Shikamaru knew was that Sasuke must be disturbed because of his brow furrowing and straining. He can't keep it well sometimes.

"Sasuke"

"What?" and he sat, crossed legs on the floor after deciding to comply with what Shikamaru said. He must be in a perfect condition to fight Otsutsuki.

"Sakura's definitely a strong kunoichi. Don't worry she will find a way out of the difficult situation" He paused and looked for the response. Sasuke just gave a faint nod so he continued "then you have to regain your health and chakra as fast as you can. If you go and help her with you bad shape, she might be troubled by it..nah…I just assumed from her behavior"

"I know" Sasuke replied and met with the blond's gaze.

"Teme, sorry to cause you trouble" Naruto finally let out what's in his mind for a few days as he's the one trapped in between the collateral damage in the fight but it's a ruse of Toneri to make a sneaking move behind Sasuke's back.

"Ah"

Not so long, the large shadow lingered above them before it descended downward and it's the ink hawk. Sai jumped down and released his jutsu, splashing into nothingness, with Hinata behind his back, however she looked determined and focused.

"Everyone, me and Hinata discovered the portal to another area. Hinata found it covered with the massive barrier and there're abundance of puppet troops around there" they both came up with the interesting topic for the team and gained morale in another new level.

Hinata began to explain with the urge to help her friend that's why she gained her confidence in reporting among the group and earned a respectful smile from Naruto.

She told them about the chakra barrier at one portal that she couldn't see through with her Byukugan until Sai took her near that particular portals and release a faint chakra to block the genjutsu particle at her eyes and it worked because Hinata could see massive chakra at the opposite site of one channel from a ruined village, many puppets and the large castle.

It all concluded they will reach that portal at the end of a ruined village where Hinata described to them tomorrow.

"Thank you" after their conclusion, it's from Sasuke and earned a startle reaction from each of them. He shrugged it off easily and moved toward the back of one building because he still had much to learn on his jutsu and this time he's gonna get that bastard for sure.

He couldn't be weak.

He couldn't afford the mistake.

But it all happened to him in the past.

That's why he knew the taste of them well so he chose to be a lone wolf to correct himself by seeing the whole world. To know his befall and to adjust it properly.

But he'd changed now, he'd prefered protecting Konoha in his own way from a shadow.

If he can't protect one person, how can he protect the whole village?

New day. New peak of sunlight climbing up and slipping past through each layer of dense cloud to welcome the new morning.

Sakura got up from bed, dressed herself up quickly and slipped through the door as quietly as she could to not wake the man in the room who still slept like a log.

Agitated and uncomfortable, last night, she complied with his request because Sakura wanted to buy him the trust. Sleep with me, anyone heard it and would think it like having a sexual intercourse but for her, it happened literally. In a literal way.

They just laid down on his bed. Sakura admitted her heart nearly exploded because she never had a chance to be in this close proximity with a man in the private bedroom. Leave aside Naruto who traveled a lot with her on mission and shared a bed spot together, okay it sounded weird but that baka slept faster than you think like his head touched the pillow, talked nonsense for a few minutes then you could hear his snoring.

She and Toneri just had conversations on many topics; life, philosophy, natural science or literature. Before she realized, she had an abundant engagement in conversation with him. Sometimes, their hands grazed together accidentally. It ended up with him holding her hand tight, putting it on his chest and falling asleep. Sakura still remembered in detail, he looked relaxed, boyish and so natural.

Let bygones be bygones, something either good or bad..or even worse should have happened today and right now. Mysteriously, the white orb of energy flew over the room where Tenseiga was and also where she's standing like it tried to shoo her away and behaved herself in a decent way, however, Sakura rejected that fear totally. Smirking, she's a stubborn girl and also injecting the boisterous and unpredictable element of her close friend Naruto into her blood as it boosted her confidence on this mission

She possessed Ino's mind to play a mind game to build trust over the target and lure the insight. Plus she camouflaged herself like Sai, what would Sai think? Do? Process? while he's on a spying mission. She had mapped many paths around the castle and the temple. Plus she psyed herself up that the Kanoha 11 would cheer her up behind her back.

Finally, it came to the hardest part of her stream of consciousness to formulate the best morole of her.

Sasuke. About Sasuke.

What would he be to her?

The picture of him in black apparel and dark cloak turned her head to her and looked at her from the sideline with his signature look: stoic, mismatched eyes in which you couldn't tell exactly what he was thinking.

Warmly, the last but recent poke on her forehead before he left the village played on her mind while her legs led her to get closer to the gigantic orb in the center of the dimly dark room.

Sakura finally decided about Sasuke.

Her heart beat loud at her chest, heard even clearly as the silence prevailed through the room. Gulping, Sakura coated herself with a sheer chakra to not let the white energy perturbed her intrusion. However, her heart galloped like a horse in juxtaposition of a certain raven haired man materializing in front of her.

Sasuke-kun

Sasuke has been her first puppy love which made her everyday interesting, her confidence as he's the early person recognized her ability and praised on her analytical skill on genin test, her source of power after he left the village - it drove her to improve her skills and became who she is now, her medal (how silly of me to think this point) as she can brag in academy that she's in the same team with the famous Sasuke-kun and later on she always had wanted him to notice her and accepted her and finally her hope as one day, he would come back to village and at very least, they could have gone for a little walk, small chat, a snack or a bowl of ramen.

Sasuke from her imagination nodded to her and looked at the tenseiga. She knew what she should do, looking at his conjured image, smiling at him with a toothy grin and pulling her glove up to both of her palms, channeling her chakra to the max into her right palm.

"Hope I'm safe and sound, Sasuke-kun.. I still want to get back and see you..I just realize how hard it is to decide something on your own..how can you take a journey alone?..." the Sasuke on her mind just nodded. If he could have spoken back, it would have been better to hear his deep and baritone voice. Whatever it was, Sakura was ready for the one punch.

And there she goes. The moment of her massively concentrated-chakra knuckle hit the tenseiga. The clashing sound was loud and clear, sending the headwind throughout the room which her pink-haired sprayed backward unruly. Likely, its surface tried to parry her attack.

Sakura gritted her teeth and let out Shannaro with the full grin and released her next left punch on hit again.

The impact of her punch created the magnitude of seismic waves throughout this floating land - she could hear the crumbling sound outside this building, notwithstanding, the tenseiga still in one piece to her surprise. What Sakura did left enough effect on this land as the massive barrier was shattered as her punch disrupted its core of power.

Later on, she could hear the sound of many vehicles and engines gliding outside the temple actively, as if something must have happened. Sakura put a smirk on her work even though the tenseiga still looked fine and unbroken.

On the other side, the aftereffect of Sakura's punch was able to let a group of intruders sneak into this floating land successfully after they failed multiple times and endlessly had to evade the fight with a troop of puppets.

"Don't know what happened but everyone! Let's get going!"

"Oi! Naruto no need to be loud or else you will call them atten..tion..damn not until my last word of warning"

"For the best, I can rasengan them at the same time!"

"Naruto it's not a party! Damn it" a group of intruders began to clash with the puppets inevitably.

Sasuke knew it must have been her doing and it was a coincidence of their need to infiltrate this land. That's why she's strong and useful. The corner of his lip smirked up slightly before it resumed in the same stoic flat lip.

On her side, there's no puppets coming to get her or check their tenseiga, however, she met with their supreme lord instead.

How come he appeared behind her and when, there's no slight reaction from him a brief minute but it seemed to long and tortured for her as the silance seemingly consumed her existance.

"Sakura…"

"Toneri listen! I decided to do it for everyone and for you as well! You don't have to live under the malice of the past"

"Sakura…"

"I meant well so please understand me and start a new life or establish your own clan without the tremor or conflict. This supposes to be the thing you should have the most"

"Sakura…" his voice dropped low in a dangerous way like a feline animal trying to prey on you and she could'n see his expression as well .

"Toneri..I.."

"Sakura! Why do you do this? It must be your plan right? Your plan to destroy me, my life goal and my clan pride! You the nasty whore! I's not have to believe in any words from you, it's hollow and meaningless! I should have known that. You're a bastard!"

"Toneri! You don't understand me! Listen!"

"I don't and I won't!" He flashed in front of her and grabbed her neck and lifted her up in ease, looking at the petile konoha kunoichi struggling to get away from the grip and listening to the broken, huffing and suffocating sound from her. It earned him a dangerous smile and evil laugh.

"See if I want to kill you, I can do it easily like breaking a stick but I now know there's one reason to use you in an efficient way" his words pierced through her skin and Sakera felt threatened to the unexplainable point when he let out the maniac laugh. He's insane now. She regretted giving him what he wanted because she thought it would buy her trust for being a good companion. "Now it's time for you" while trying to pry his grip out of her neck, Sakura realized his right hand moved directly to her face. Last picture she remembered was his five fingers at her right eye before it plucked into her sockets and invaded her vision.

Sakura didn't remember how painful it was as it happened so fast but still remembered the feeling of an optic nerve pulling out like pulling a string out of something. She can't hear her voice anymore because she screamed to the point that her throat was sore and painful so she stopped the vain action in order to survive upon his tight grip. Later on she felt the dip of a sticky substance with a copper smell over her face. That's blood. His grip never ceased the action and she tried harder to scratch or pounded his left hand but it's in vain again.

Her left eyes gazed timidly at him and heard his laugh. Toneri placed her eyes on his socket and looked into her left eyes in a mocking way, his smirking smug told he's beyond ecstasy to cause her the pain, the loss of her sight and the hopelessness. Sakura felt dizzy and nearly out of consciousness as the air couldn't get to her lungs properly. Toneri tightened his grip as if trying to wake her up and not allow her to have a good and calm pass out.

He did it again on her left eye with a fast manner, earning a shudder and a wince from this small leaf kunoichi. Her lip was agap and closed several times as if she had something to say while her tears ran down and mixed with her blood so messy. She looked degraded but good in a strange way. He felt pleased to see her fall to despair after what she did betray him. He snorted and opened both of his sea-fomed green eyes to look at her face and body. Both of her hands stopped doing kitten scratching things on his hand, falling beside her body effortlessly.

"Now I have your eyes and your life" Toneri spatted, pulling her face close to his face. His hot breath ghosted over her face and his nose trail along her jawline, with the satisfied devil smirk. Toneri also licked a drop of her blood, smearing and painting her face with his tongue and trailed his mouth lower to the crook of her neck and paused.

"Tell me how you want to die..oh change my mind, I will keep you and see you rotting away"

Sakura tried to not sob and said "whatever..but please let it end with me. You can have my eyes or my life…these all I have…you have it now and please don't destroy the earth" her voice faded away and screamed as she felt his teeth dove into her neck mercilessly and bit her neck hard enough to leave an unforgiven mark as well as rewarding her with a bruise mark.

"Give me a reason"

Beyond the hell, Sakura felt threatened and shuddered. "There are precious people to me there" Sakura gave a breathy wince as it's hard for her to breathe. Only thing she could see was the darkness. She didn't know where he moved her to as he started walking, still holding her like a broken and ragged doll. If she showed resistance, she would have died by his hand in that second. He's gone insane now and she was the one who caused it. Served your right…Sakura…how in the world you think you could reach your hands out to help someone's in need of help and support.

"My family, my teacher.." Sakura shuddered when her back touched the wall.

"Is that all?"

"Naruto and Sasuke-kun..all of my frie-" Toneri hissed and pushed her to the wall harder that took away all the air in her system, her voice's huffing and cracking before uttering it out. The boiling angry point reached his limit after hearing the disturbing and forbidden name of those duo who irritated him so much. In particular, Sasuke. Damn one.

"I will destroy them here and you.. wait for their corpse"

"Please no..Toneri…no I beg you" Sakura huffed and touched his hand in a pleading manner. "Please no….."

There's a footstep running to him "Toneri-sama. We have an emergency"

Toneri held his free hand upward to stop the puppet. "Take care of her and put her in the robe"

Sakura was moved to the puppet arm effortlessly with no defiance from her as the dizziness kicked off her system. How much blood she lost to the point she felt cold and her body seemed to protest her will in seconds.

Toneri departed from the room, leaving his subordinate to run an errand for him by taking care of her. The smirk appeared on his face before it morphed into the innocent smile in contrast of the blood smearing on his cheek and hand, thinking how to greet them and how to bury them in the grave because this time he's gonna get serious for those who looked down on him, pointed out of his meaningless existence or tried to teach him a life lesson. He hated them to the back of his bones.

What Sasuke expressed, implied or spoke to him made him feel like his existence was hollow, empty and dull. It's like he was just born into the world and lived indirectly, breathing in and out, eating, sleeping without the attempt to add the meaning into your own life by choosing your own path instead of following what your ancestors told him so- that's all and it's personal. He didn't like it.

Toneri gritted his teeth and hissed in anger. Those who looked down on him should be eradicated with the might and name of Otsutsuki.
