Pt 1: The Pinboard

Aizawa, and other staff due to scheduling, performed dorm checks weekly. It was never anything too exciting. It wasn't something he thought he'd ever be doing as a routine activity; but given his borderline insomniatic tendencies it wasn't difficult. He'd gone through all the girls' dorms first, only having to move Ashido to her bed because she'd fallen asleep at her desk. The boys' side had taken longer. He'd had to force Kaminari and Sero to get some sleep rather than play their games for another six hours. Satou had been missing from his dorm, but Aizawa wasn't going to panic just yet. Tokoyami had also fallen asleep at his desk and Aizawa had to retrieve a spare battery from the linen closet to replace in his nightlight.

He came down to the kitchen to find Satou taking some muffins out of the oven. He stood in the entryway, catching Satou's eye as he closed the oven with his hip. Satou froze the moment he saw Aizawa, and their eyes locked. He looked like he'd been caught sneaking food rather than baking it. Aizawa waited patiently for him to say anything. It was well past curfew at this point and clearly he'd have to make it known that the curfew was not, in fact, debatable unless some specific loopholes were reached. An urge to bake was not within those parameters.

"Satou."

"S-sensei…"

"Bed when you're done."

"Yes, sir…"

Aizawa turned on his heel to check the common room next. It was empty except for the lump of blankets on the couch. He knew it wasn't any of the students he'd already checked on, so that just left Midoriya. Aizawa leaned over the couch's back. Midoriya was fast asleep, curled up in the blankets as if he were trying to steal all their warmth. He probably was.

Aizawa sighed, dragging his hand down his face. The kid hadn't slept well for days now—he could see the forming bags under his eyes—and he didn't have the heart to wake him up to get him to bed. Nemuri was right. He was getting soft thanks to this class. Aizawa double checked Satou was busy trying to fit the muffins into the fridge with the growing lack of space before he turned his attention back to Midoriya. After some very brief deliberation he rounded the couch and started pulling blankets off the boy. He left the final blanket on him, scooping Midoriya up and heading for the stairs. True to the clear exhaustion he was dealing with, Midoriya hardly stirred the entire trip to his dorm.

Aizawa was grateful that Midoriya had left his door cracked open, if only because he didn't have to fumble with the knob. He laid Midoriya on the bed, a glimmer on the wall catching his eye. He glanced over to the wall space above Midoriya's desk. Hanging over the desk was a pin board. Enamel pins were scattered across it.

Amongst them, he noticed were a few official pins that were merchandise of the staff's hero identities. One of Nemuri's mask and whip. Another of Yamada's sunglasses and iconic hair. Midoriya had also somehow found the limited-edition pin of a chibi-Cementoss. A few of them he'd noticed in ads over the years, as well, particularly the All Might varieties. Then, his eyes landed on a few pins in the lower corner. One of his iconic goggles, and another of the capture weapon. They were made with great quality, he'd admit.

But this was contraband. Aizawa sighed, running his hand through his hair. He certainly had never signed off on any merchandizing, so he knew Midoriya hadn't bought this as official merch. He also knew, however, that a lot of unknown heroes had unofficial merchandise so it wasn't as if it was hard to find. He tucked Midoriya in, closing the door behind him.

"Bakubro, help me with English later?" Ashido asks. Bakugou gave her a 'tsk', shoving the last of his breakfast bowl in his mouth.

"Fine, but we're training after."

"Deal!"

Yaoyorozu and Iida were packing up the breakfast leftovers, bowls for the late-coming classmates set aside. The class was in the middle of their morning routines when frantic steps came from the staircase. Midoriya burst down at the bottom, haphazardly throwing his jacket on.

"Deku, you're not running late," Uraraka assured him.

"W-who brought me upstairs last night?" Midoriya asks. Uraraka blinked at him. She tilted her head, thinking.

"Um…. you were on the couch studying when I went up."

"I was in bed early," Yaoyorozu admitted.

"You were passed out when I went up," Tokoyami chimed in. Midoriya turned to Bakugou, desperately.

"Don't look at me, nerd," Bakugou says. Midoriya whined, turning to Satou and Kirishima next.

"Not me, bro."

"Sorry, Midoriya, I didn't take you," Satou says. He rubbed his head sheepishly. "Um, it was Dad, actually."

"What?!"

"Wait, you saw what?" Nemuri asks, smiling wide. Aizawa's eye twitched. He took a gulp of his coffee with a sigh.

"He had contraband in his room," Aizawa repeats. "But…"

"You didn't want to take it down!" Yamada sang. "That's so cute—"

"I have to report it—"

"No, you don't!" Nemuri shouted with a whine. "It's not really illegal."

"I didn't sign any rights for it."

"It was probably custom made," Nemuri reasoned. "There's loads of custom fan merch out there for loads of heroes, I'd say be happy you have a fanbase at all!"

"It's rather nice he has something for his teacher," Thirteen says sweetly. "It means he looks up to you."

"Did he have something for us all?" Snipe asks.

"At least one for each of us, actually," Aizawa says. Nemuri squealed, kicking her legs.

"He's too cute!"

"I bet he probably hasn't realized you saw, yet," Yamada sighed.

Midoriya sat, face against the dining table, in despair. "I'm doomed…"

"No, you're not," Uraraka tried to assure him. She pat his back to little success.

"He's going to kill me…"

"Now you're being dramatic," Bakugou says, smacking Midoriya's head lightly. Midoriya paid the action no mind, just continuing to bemoan into the table.

"I'm going to get detention for the rest of my life…" he groaned. He lifted his head, looking to the class at large for any help.

"…Do you think he saw the custom figure?" Shinsou asks. Midoriya's head hit the table.
