Uzume Tsuki: Okay I am aware that this is most likely against the rules of this site, but I felt the need to do this. I realized that I did not make it clear on WHAT I was trying to be historically accurate with. To Ok (): First off I would like to thank you for not being rude in your criticism of the content of my story. You have no idea how happy and how much of a breath of fresh air for me to see something other than 'I LOVE YOUR STORY!' or 'It sucks and you are setting her up to get raped.' Second I do understand what you have stated. It is sad to say but I know very little about Japanese customs and mannerism. I do not know if you have read any of my other stories, but when I write Inuyasha fanfics I rarely if ever write Kagome as she appears in the Manga/Anime. Call it a quirk but she annoys me in the anime. I would however like to stress to EVERYONE who reads my stories that these are just that; STORIES written by me not the original creator. It seems that I should start putting that in my disclaimer as to not offend anyone. What I was trying to get across with this story is that she has spent so much time with her "family" in the Feudal Era that life in her own time has become what life in the Feudal Era used to be. She has basically become frustrated by the fact that people in the Feudal Era respect her because of her status as warrior and miko; yet at home she is still considered a child. She has come to the point that she doesn't care what society thinks of her in her original time. If that wasn't made clear in my story I'm sorry I did mean to make it clear. In reality I definitely would try and find out why my parents were behaving in a similar manner. I was raised to respect my parents as well. HOWEVER, lol like I stated above this is a fanfic, written by an American who sadly knows very little of Japanese culture. And I will be sure to state in my disclaimer from now on that it will only be certain things that will be historically accurate (if those things were wrong please tell me and I will correct them). I know that with the way she is written, Kagome would never behave in this manner. Just as I know that Inuyasha is not truly the prick that many writers portray him as. He loves Kagome, he would never do half of the things we writers say that he does.
