Thalia and Luke didn't try to approach Annabeth again. She saw the sad glances the girl sent her direction at lunch, along with the questioning looks from the rest of her peers - clearly confused about the situation. They darted their eyes between her and Luke all day, trying to figure out what was going on.

She was thankful no one had approached her to ask. It was obvious that they were no longer together, he had been walking round holding Thalia's hand all day, but no one knew why. She heard rumours about why she ran out the party on Friday, and it seemed people were slowly putting together the pieces, but Annabeth showed no interest in explaining.

She didn't even know what to say if someone did ask. Yes, she was mad at Luke and Thalia, but she didn't want everyone to start being horrible to them.

In all honesty, all she wanted right now was to leave this place. The walls of the school felt like they were closing and she was suffocating in all the attention. So, you can imagine her happiness when Piper made the suggestion of ditching.

'Are you serious? What if we get caught!'

Hazel glanced around nervously from where she was sat in Pipers passenger seat, causing her to roll her eyes.

'Hazel, my dear friend, what are they going to do, hm? Detention? Im already supposed to have detention this week because of the explosion Leo caused in physics. If I'm going to do time it might as well be for something i actually did wrong!'

Hazel bit her lip nervously, and Annabeth could see the girl shooting nervous glances to her through the mirror. Her eyes seemed to soften upon seeing the tear stains on Annabeth's face, and she slumped in her chair slightly, fastening her seat belt.

'Fine. But only because its drastic circumstances. And as long as i get a Starbucks.'

Piper cheered in success and began driving out of the parking lot.

They talked about what happened in the morning, and both Piper and Hazel showed their disgust about how Luke handled the situation. When retelling the part about Percy's punch, the two girls gasped.

'Oh hell yeah Percy!'

Hazel glared at Piper.

'You shouldn't be praising him for violence Piper!'

Annabeth smirked slightly as Piper rolled her eyes.

'But Luke deserved it!'

Hazel hesitated for a second, looking back at Annabeth.

'Was it at least a good punch?'

Annabeth grinned back at the girl.

'Best right hook I've ever seen.'

The girls laughed as Piper pulled into the parking lot.

Turns out, Sally's cooking is somehow even better than Annabeth imagined. She didn't think the woman could get anymore amazing.

Piper dropped Annabeth off around 6ish, after a long day of gossiping in Starbucks and window shopping for Jasons birthday gift. She had the best day, and she knew she was so lucky that the universe sent Piper her way. God knows where she'd be without her.

Percy eagerly opened the door and her heart melted at the sight. He had a wide smile plastered on his face, and was wearing pj bottoms and a sweatshirt. His hair was all messy and it looked like he had just woken up from a nap, but Annabeth thought he looked adorable.

'Hey you,' he said adoringly, leaning down to give her a hug.

She smiled up at the boy and welcomed his embrace. As he pulled back, she shot up on her tip toes and pressed a kiss to his lips.

Shock overtook him, before he smiled and kissed her back, hand cradling her face.

'Hey,' she replied, love in her eyes.

He pressed another kiss to her cheek and grinned down at her.

'So, are you ready for dinner? She's been stressing ever since i told her you were coming, trying to decide what to make for the past two hours.'

Annabeth giggled and followed him into the hallway, kicking off her shoes in the process.

'Im sure whatever she makes will be really good.'

Percy tugged her hand and led her to the kitchen, where Sally was stirring something on the stove and Paul looked on hungrily. She glanced up at the pair, smile lighting up her face.

'Annabeth dear! How are you!' She rushed over the kitchen and threw her arms around Annabeth, which she eagerly accepted.

'Im okay, it smells good in here.'

Sally grinned at the girl as she moved back over to the oven.

'You like chicken right?'

Annabeth nodded and Sally let out a breath a relief, before Paul began talking and asking the teens about their day. They made small talk until dinner was ready, and continued chatting throughout dinner. Percy held her hand reassuringly the entire time, giving her little squeezes every now and again.

Annabeth felt so at home.

Her and Percy offered to do the dishes but were quickly shooed off by Paul, claiming it was his job, and the pair made their way upstairs into Percy room. He flopped onto the bed and grinned up at her.

She laughed and gently sat down next to him, but he grabbed her waist and pulled her closer until she was lying beside him, face to face.

'Hi,' Percy spoke lovingly, brushing a piece of hair from her face.

'Hi,' she replied, smiling softly at the boy.

'I still can't believe this is real you know. You're way too good for me, you're insane.'

Annabeth frowned and laid her hand over his heart.

'Thats not true.'

Percy scoffed but Annabeth continued,

'No really Percy, i think you are amazing. I really like you.'

She could hear his breath catch as she rubbed her nose against his. He leaned forward and pressed a slow soft kiss to her lips, pulling back after a few seconds.

'Annabeth, i really want to be your boyfriend.'

Annabeth grinned against his lips.

'Okay then.'

He opened his eyes and stared at her in disbelief.

'Wait really?'

Annabeth laughed against his lips and ran her hands through his hair.

'Yes really, now shut up and kiss me.'

She didn't need to ask him twice.
