Let the sky fall
When it crumbles
We will stand tall
Face it all together
"I told you to keep quiet." Thalia groaned and threw a biscuit at Percy which he snickered and dodged.
"This was too good to not tell." Percy defended.
"It really was." Nico nodded with a grin.
"Shut up." Thalia said, threateningly pointing a liquorice candy stick at her two cousins.
"Yes ma'am." Percy and Nico saluted but they exchanged mischievous grins. They were totally going to talk about this to each other later on. Percy had rolled all over on the floor in laughter when he found out. Thalia and Percy had gone to a Trampoline Park and Percy had gone a little far off to try a new trampoline and Thalia went to another side to try another one. She had taken a step and gave a small yell of shock. Percy had run over to her and had seen that it was one of those trampolines which looked like it had ice on it and then it cracked when you stepped on it.
"But really, how did you not come to the realization that it was just a trampoline and it wasn't even snowing?" Nico wheezed
"Well genius, it looked like the trampoline ripped." Thalia retorted
"Hmm." Nico said.
Percy was finding the whole situation more amusing than the incident itself. Him, Thalia and Nico were sitting or rather fooling around in the coffee shop. Luckily, there were others so their voices were minimized.
"Hey Perce, when are your quarters going to get done by?" Nico asked
"Annabeth said that they're going to get over in about a month or so. She quite liked the ideas that I gave." Percy grinned.
"So are you two going to start living together or something?" Thalia asked. Percy shook his head.
"Most probably not but I asked her to get her quarters right next to mine. And I plan on asking her something as well. A question, I mean." He said.
"Ooh what question?" Nico grinned.
"Its not what you think it is. I'm going to ask her to rule with me. Just not as a married couple just yet but like as girlfriend-boyfriend. As partners." Percy said with a smile.
"That's good, mate." Nico nodded.
"That's nice. She's gonna say yes. Though she would have said yes to marriage too but okay." Thalia said with a grin.
"Maybe not marriage right now. We haven't even talked much about it but maybe not just yet." Percy sighed.
Just then, the Stolls came running into the coffee shop at full speed and hid behind Percy.
"Percy, help! Katie is chasing us for growing Easter bunnies on her roof…again." Connor screamed. Percy snickered.
"I honestly cannot blame them for being scared of Katie. She is just like her mother and Demeter is scary when she's angry." Nico shook his head in sympathy.
"Help." Travis squeaked. The three cousins grinned and turned their heads towards Travis with raised eyebrows.
"She's your girlfriend, dude." Thalia said
"And I'm scared of her sometimes." Travis defended.
"Hide. Hide." Connor hissed as Katie looked like she was going to come into the coffee shop. Percy looked around to see what kind of interesting reactions the others at the coffee shop must have been having but they all weren't even looking at what the Stolls were doing. Percy figured that they were already used to Apollo and Hermes' antics and just knew that the Stolls were just duplicates of them and were going to have to spend eternity with them as well. They seemed to be dealing well with that part of it. Though, they seemed quite happy with all the gods right now.
Percy took pity on the Stolls who looked like they would start squealing in terror as they saw Katie walk towards them after noticing them, and got up. He went and casually talked with Katie and tried to convince her that they were sorry and stuff.
"Come on now, Katie. Let them live. I'm sure you'll come up with a way to trick them back." Percy grinned. "I'll help." He winked. Katie smirked.
"That's a deal." She said. She and Percy shook hands and she left the coffee shop with a wink at Travis and Percy walked back with a slight smirk.
"I don't what happened but I will take it." Connor swallowed. The two of them crushed Percy in a hug and left.
"I don't get these two." Thalia shook her head.
"Can we leave too now?" Nico asked. Percy and Thalia nodded.
"I got to go." Percy said, after half an hour as he spotted Annabeth. Thalia and Nico nodded and they continued walking back to their quarters. Percy ran and gave Annabeth a surprise hug from the behind and she laughed fondly.
"Seaweed brain." She chuckled. Percy grinned at her and stood by her side.
"Oh hey guys." He said, looking at Poseidon and Amphitrite who was talking to Annabeth. They smiled at Percy.
"Hey Wise girl, wanna go for a walk?" he asked.
"Sure." Annabeth shrugged. Poseidon winked at Percy and Amphitrite winked at Annabeth and the two younger gods grinned.
"So, I know you didn't randomly ask for a walk. What's up?" Annabeth asked as she and Percy walked hand in hand on the beach. Percy blushed.
"I wanted to ask you something." He asked
"Of course." Annabeth nodded.
"So we've been together for so long, known each other for longer and we know each others' movies off the back of our hand. Its like a second instinct. Will you be my queen?" Percy asked, turning beet red.
"Are you-" Annabeth asked with wide eyes.
"No no. I'm not asking you to marry me yet but like, ruling as partners. Boyfriend- Girlfriend." Percy corrected.
"Yeah, I never imagined the marriage proposal to look like that." Annabeth chuckled. Percy nodded and then they both turned the brightest shade of red as they just got a sense of what they said.
"So? What do you think?" Percy asked shyly.
"Yes. Sure." Annabeth smiled. Percy grinned widely and gave her a kiss. They both smiled and continued walking for some time as Percy internally jumped up and down with joy.
"How do you feel, son?" Poseidon asked Percy with a smile as the younger god sat on the couch in front of him with a wide grin.
"I feel so…happy. I mean me and Annabeth were already going out and still are but this feels different. She's a queen to the whole world now and not just to me and the two of us are going to be known together by everybody and not just our friends. I-I just feel so good." Percy shook his head with a huge smile. Not one bit was a lie. Maybe just an understatement.
"That's how it is." His father smiled. "Its different." He said. Somewhere, on the bed, Amphitrite turned red. Triton chuckled.
"Interesting conversation, dad. Any more experiences with mom?" He asked
Percy snorted and chuckled.
"I doubt that they are meant for our age. Perhaps even we are too innocent for them." He said. Triton and Tyson burst out laughing. Poseidon and Amphitrite turned a bright shade of red.
"That's not true." Poseidon said, his face turning into a kaleidoscope of reds and pinks. Oh, this was fun.
"Oh, it is. I mean sure, there are probably some PG-13 incidents but when you go to experiences, it's a different matter." Percy said with a mischievous smirk.
"Ooh dude, you're dirty minded." Triton groaned.
"Just like you, brother." Percy winked.
"So you asked her?" Thalia grinned at Percy. Grover cheered. The three of them stood against the Poseidon cabin's doorframe. Percy nodded.
"Hail, Annabeth Chase and Percy Jackson, king and queen of the second council of gods." Thalia shouted. Grover followed. Percy grinned but with his mouth open. The sea gang cheered as well.
"Well, how does that sound?" Thalia winked at Percy.
"Oh, don't ask." Grover snorted.
"Hey!" Percy protested. Grover winked at Percy.
"It's the truth, mate." He grinned.
"Haha." Percy said with a pout. Thalia and Grover laughed and chuckled.
"When are you announcing it officially?" Thalia asked.
"Soon. Today night." Percy grinned. He was bursting with joy as he imagined him and Annabeth being the king and queen together.
"I'm looking forward to it. The reactions, really." Grover whistled. Thalia nodded in agreement. Percy smiled. He absolutely loved these guys. No matter the fact that Thalia and him had argued multiple times, she was still sister and he still loved her. And Grover? The guy would always be his best buddy. Nothing would change that. Now he was just looking forward for the night.
Soon night fell and no, Percy did not have anything to do with the time being sped up. He wasn't planning anything and nor was Annabeth. The two had decided to just simply break the news. Everybody had gathered in the pavilion for just hanging out.
"So guys, me and Annabeth have to tell you something." Percy grinned.
"You're getting married?!" Aphrodite squealed. Percy turned bright red and he could see Annabeth going red as well.
"Uh-um-what? No. No. Not right now. No. Its something else." Percy stammered. His friends and the other gods chuckled.
"Hmm." Aphrodite sighed.
"Percy asked me to rule alongside him as queen of the second council of gods but just as boyfriend-girlfriend right now." Annabeth announced. Everybody cheered at the top of their lungs. Most of them ran forward and clapped him and Annabeth on their shoulders and pulled him and Annabeth on their shoulders. Honestly, Percy was just wondering how they would react when they would actually get married. He grinned at just the thought of it.
They all partied the whole night and everything felt normal to Percy. And he spent every moment celebrating with his gang. Sometimes all everybody needed was a break and all of them especially but apparently the fates had something else in mind for him and all of the gods because that's the night that he had the worst dream of his entire life.
