Just a small side story, about what the rest of the Yuiga family are doing while Nariyuki is at Mafuyu's place, kinda like my attempt to write one of those small ending pictures, we see at the end of each chapter, in the Mangas.
The Snowy Dilemma Side Story
Hanae Yuiga, was presently playing Shogi with her oldest daughter Mizuki, her two youngest children Hakuzki and Kazuki were outside playing in the snow, she was a little worried about them being out there in the heavy snow storm without supervision, but they had promised her not to leave the yard under any circumstances.
Reaching out Hanae picked up a Shogi piece, then quickly moved it to another spot on the board, then glanced up at her second-oldest child, yet instead of looking at the board, Mizuki was staring off into space, her face, as white as a ghost's.
"What's wrong sweetheart?" The mother asked concerned, glancing around the small living room to try and figure out what could be bothering her girl.
Slamming both her hands down into the table, knocking away a few Shogi pieces in the process, Mizuki slowly raised her light crimson gaze, looking straight at her mother.
"It's... It's big brother mom, he is...is giving his first kiss to... to another woman, he is kissing that pink haired woman who visited us a while back..." the girl replied, sounding almost like a robot, or a prerecorded message on an answering machine.
Hearing Mizuki response, almost send Hanae into full-blown romance mode, could it really be true, was her son, her oldest child really kissing Mafuyu, his teacher right at this very second. The single mother had known for a while now that Nariyuki was very much in-love with Mafuyu Kirisu, that she was the most important person in the world to him, but he had just been so afraid to express those feelings, in fear that Mafuyu might reject him.
But if they really were kissing like Mizuki claimed, it meant, meant that Mafuyu was reciprocating his feelings, which meant that Mafuyu Kirisu, her husband's former student, could very well end up becoming her future daughter-in-law. Oh, what a delight that was, she could hardly wait for Nariyuki to get home, so she could grill him none stop about how his first kiss had been.
Yet as Hanae, turned her attention back towards her daughter sitting across from her, she of course immediately noticed the blank look in her eyes and the zombie like expression on her face, she might be imagining it, but she was relatively certain that the girl was turning more and more transparent, it was like her soul was barely tether to her body.
"Big brother... you... I told you to be careful with older women, they are dangerous..." Mizuki mumbled almost in complete despair.
Seeing the increasingly crazy look on her daughter's face, Hanae let out a deep sigh and rolled her eyes a single time. 'Ohh, good God, will she ever get over that brother complex of her's, maybe I need to seriously consider scraping some money together, so I can get her into therapy. It's not like she can run after her brother, for the rest of her life, I want Mizuki to find a good husband, someday' the single mother thought, then reached out and picked up the TV remote, knowing full well that Shogi game was over, there were only one thing, on Mizuki's mind right now, and that was her ever important older brother.
But despite however much Hanae worried about her second child's well-being, especially her mental health, she soon found herself ever so slowly disappearing into her happy daydream about what Nariyuki and Mafuyu's future relationship would content, she wondered if the two of them would permit her to name their first child, she had always liked the name, Kasumi.
Hanae and Mizuki were still totally caught up in their own thoughts, when Hazuki and Kazuki entered the house after finishing playing outside, seeing that neither their mother nor older sister was paying any attention to them, the twins glance over at each other.
"What's with them?" Kazuki asked in utter bewilderment.
"No idea, mom seems to be in romance mode for some reason and Mizuki seems ready to go into shock. Knowing her, she is likely sensing something happening between big bro and Mafuyu-chan, you know what that means don't you? Big bro might really end up marrying Mafuyu-chan, one day" Hazuki told her little brother with a cheerful grin on her lips.
"That's totally awesome! I can not wait to go to big bro and Mafuyu-chan's wedding, I wonder how many pieces of wedding cake I can eat" the youngest of the twins said, as the two of them entered the kitchen to get something warm to drink, both now talking cheerfully about what Mafuyu-chan's wedding dress was going to look like.
