-Chapter Two: The Trip-
Note: I gave the transformers in my stories mecha suits for a reason. They're humans living on an extremely advanced planet called Cybertron. Though, that is not the main focus of the story.
"I love you my son..."
"I love you too..."
Optimus awoke to his buzzing alarm clock and groaned as he slapped a hand over it to shut the alarm. He had been having the same dream... again. He had been having this dream for as long as he could remember and he knew for a fact that the person inside his dream was in fact one of his parents- but everytime he had the dream- he wasn't able to make out the face of his parent and that annoyed him the most. What was the point of having these dreams if he couldn't see who was his parent in the dream?
Optimus cupped his face in his hands. Outside his mecha suit, he was a tall person, with sapphire blue eyes and dark brown hair. His hair were ruffled due to the fact that he had been sleeping. He wore a red shirt and blue trousers.
Optimus was still thinking about his dream when he suddenly remembered-
-The Senior Academy.
Optimus immediately removed his hands from his face, looking around in shock to first see his alarm clock which told him that the time was 05:15 am and then he turned around a second time to find Sentinel dozing peacefully on his bed.
Sentinel had black hair and looked just as tall as Optimus outside his mecha suit. He had light blue eyes and he was tucked under a blanket as he slept and Optimus felt kind of bad when he called out "Hey, Sentinel!"
Sentinel stirred a bit but did not wake up. Optimus walked over to his friemd and said "Sentinel?"
Sentinel groaned sleepily as he said "What's the matter Optimus? Can't you see I'm trying to... sleep?"
Optimus smiled "Hey, don't you wanna go to the Senior Academy? I thought you wanted to be a- cadet"
Sentinel stopped trying to snuggle in his blankets any further and woke up saying in shock, "Wait, it's time?!"
Optimus pointed to the alarm clock which now showed the time 05:20 am. Sentinel got up immediately and rubbed his eyes vigorously as was part of his morning routine. Now that he was out of the blankets, he was revealed to be wearing an orange shirt on top of blue trousers.
Optimus watched him rub his eyes for a moment before he went over to freshen up.
When both had freshened up, had pulled over their clothes and put on their mecha suits, they hurried over to pack their last minute stuff. They had packed most of their stuff yesterday except the alarm clock, the tooth brushes and a few other small important things.
Their packing complete, both of them held their trunks as they walked out of their room, Optimus after Sentinel. They walked down the brightly lit corridors, everyone in their year was also moving around, holding trunks or looking around for luggage they had forgotten.
It was a memorable moment and it dawned on Optimus now the fact that he was leaving this Academy for good and that fact made him sad. He halted and looked around the Academy. He was going to miss these halls... he looked around to see that Sentinel had the same look plastered on his face and he allowed him a few moments before saying "Sentinel... the cafeteria hall. We're running late"
Sentinel snpped out of his dreamy state and said "Yeah... let's go"
The cafeteria hall was packed with students going here and there to sit on their tables. Girls sat on their tables while boys sat on theirs. Optimus walked over alongside Sentinel, both of them having set their trunks in the luggage rack, and sat on the bench lining the long table.
There were many delicious things over there and Optimus and Sentinel ate them gleefully before setting down their knives and forks and wiping their face with a handkerchief. They had pulled off their mecha suits at last and were revealed to be wearing formal clothing. Optimus and Sentinel didn't much like formal but they went along with the rules anyway.
They sat, awaiting the signal that would tell them to go. Suddenly, the loud speakers buzzed.
"Students, please pick up your trunks, make sure not to forget anything, and walk towards the entrance chambers so that you could leave for the railway station. Please follow Miss Sana for instructions".
Sentinel said, shrugging his shoulders, "Well, that's our signal Optimus"
They both immediately got up, crossing the cafeteria hall to get to the entrance hall with a lot of other students. The hallway was so crowded that Optimus and Sentinel barely made out without fighting their way through the crowd.
They heaved their trunks, heading toward the entrance hall doors where Miss Sana was waiting for all the students to arrive. Once they did and Miss Sana checked her list of students (which took a very long time), she asked them to form a queue and follow her outside.
Optimus looked one last time at the Academy sadly. He was going to miss it, he knew that. It was like the day he had left the orphanage, when he had to leave Mrs. Storm behind whom he had always considered his mother. Suddenly, Optimus felt someone say his name. He looked around and saw Sentinel standing with trunk in hand, waving for Optimus to come over next to Ariel, his sister, who wore a yellow coloured mecha suit which had black and mint coloured accents on it. Optimus immediately grabbed his trunk which he had temporarily set down and hurried over, not wanting to miss his chance going to the Senior Autobot Academy.
The drive to the Railway Station was long and tedious. Optimus was exhausted by the time they reached the station though still excited. He could barely conceal his excitement as he got on the train, which was of a gold, white and sky blue colour with an Autobot sign on the middle carrige.
He watched out of the window, saying goodbye to all his old teachers with a sadness in his eyes. Sentinel did the same before they decided to find a carrige for themselves. Ariel had to sit with them due to the fact that they were in the same group. Sentinel had no problem with that of course- Ariel was his sister after all but Optimus... he couldn't but help but lose his confidence at her arrival.
Maybe he would be able to avoid her if he just looked out the window, right?
"Daddy, what's wrong? Why is everything falling?"
"Oh my son, everything is alright. There's just a very small problem in the ship which is being fixed. Right now, I want you to go to sleep. I will wake you up once the problem is solved and then we shall play together"
"Really?"
"Yes"
"Okay"...
Optimus awoke with a start as someone called out his name loudly. It was Sentinel. He had a half happy and half exasperated look on his face as he said "Finally, you're awake! We're here!"
Optimus rubbed his eyes as he registered what Sentinel had said before getting up. He wanted to tell Sentinel about his dream, he finally had had a different dream than the one he'd been having for years. He went towards Sentinel saying "Hey, Sentinel-" before Ariel came and said "What are you guys waiting for?! Come on!"
"I'm coming Ariel" said Sentinel, smiling. "You go get your luggage. We'll be there"
He then looked towards Optimus seriously, saying "Yeah?". He knew whatever Optimus had to say was important but Optimus said "No, nothing. I'll tell you later"
And together, they both headed out to get their trunks from the luggage rack.
Author's Note: This was a loooong a chapter but I managed to write it! I'm sorry I hadn't been updating this one for a while but now that I have, I hope you all read and review! Plus, I felt like I was writing a Harry Potter chapter the whole time! Anyways,
