Chapter Seven
So here I was, walking across the road, to the park with Logan Mitchell. Basically what I'm trying to say is that I was dying inside. I couldn't believe I was actually alone with Logan. Sure we've known each other since forever, but to be honest, I had never actually been alone with him. I know it sounds pretty cheesy and pretty sad, but its true. I looked over at him and smiled. He looked so happy, like he didn't have a care in the world.
He turned to me, met my gaze and smiled at me. My heart sped up and I could feel myself starting to blush. As cheesy as it sounds, he makes me feel on top of the world. I hadn't felt that way since Fabian and I broke up, but there was something about being with Logan that was special. More so than when I was with Fabian. Maybe Fabian and were meant to break up, maybe it was fate that brought the guys London. Who was I kidding, that stuff only happened in books and movies, though there was one thing I knew for sure and that was Logan made me happy, even if we weren't together.
"So, you wanna get some ice-cream Neens?" he asked, shooting me another smile.
"Sure, I've been craving one all day," I smiled, as he laughed at my comment.
"Which flavour do you want?" he smirked.
"Boysenberry," he and I exclaimed at the same time.
"I see your favourite flavour hasn't changed over the past couple years," he said.
"Nope," I replied, popping the 'P' as I sat down on the bench behind me.
"I'll be right back," he laughed, walking towards the ice-cream vendor.
As I waited for Logan to come back with the ice-creams, I just sat there and relaxed. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath of the fresh air, something I hadn't been able to do in long time. I let my skin soak in the sun's warm rays and the breeze brush against me. It felt nice, not having to be the chosen one or trying to solve various puzzles with Sibuna anymore, although, I did miss them. The members of Sibuna I meant, not the puzzles. Never the puzzles, I shuddered at the thought.
"You alright Neens?" Logan asked, holding two ice-creams, after he saw me shuddered.
"No, everything's fine," I gave him an eye smile, then pointed to the ice-cream cones in his hands. "Now, are you going to give me one of those or are you just gonna let them melt?"
"Oh right, here you go," he said, passing me my ice-cream cone.
I took it happily, tasted it, closed my eyes and sighed. I felt Logan looking at me and turned to see that he was watching me with amusement.
"What?" I inquired.
"I've just never seen someone so happy to eat ice-cream," he replied, raising his hands, creating the surrender gesture. I poked my tongue out at him before taking another bite of my ice-cream cone and sighed.
"I haven't had a good ice-cream in a while, especially a boysenberry one. It's so rare to find this flavour in England!" I said as I looked pointedly at the dessert in my hand. "I don't know why, but it is."
"It can't be that hard," he said, not entirely believing me.
"Fine, next time you guys are in England for a concert, you try to find a good place with good boysenberry ice-cream," I challenged.
"Fine I will," he said, taking a huge bite of his cookies and cream ice-cream cone, while looking at me triumphantly just to emphasise his point. Though, the only thing he succeeded in doing was made me laugh because he ended up only getting the edge of the ice-cream and the rest had landed on his left cheek. He blinked for a couple seconds before I burst out laughing.
"Serves you right for being so obnoxious," I said, trying to contain my giggles.
Suddenly, something creamy and cold hit me square in the face. I wiped my eyes and blinked twice. I looked at the cold substance on my hands. It was ice-cream, Cookies and cream to be exact. I flung my hands to get some of the ice-cream off my hands and looked up at an innocent looking Logan. Yeah right.
"You got a little something on your face Neens," he said, gesturing to a part of his face, while trying to sustain his laughter.
I discretely looked at the ice-cream in my hand. It was going to be a waste of ice-cream, but it was going to be worth it. I smiled at Logan; he saw that I was up to something and a look of horror crossed his face as he started to move backwards. I quickly stood up from the bench and shoved the ice-cream in his face.
He blinked twice, and then he looked down at me, arms opened wide as he moved in to hug me and get even more ice-cream all over me. Luckily, I was shorter than him. So, I ducked and moved under his arms and stopped behind him. The only person he managed to hug was himself. I laughed at the hilarious scene, until he turned around to get me, but I ran as soon as he turned around.
Still laughing, I ran around the park until we had both ran around the whole park twice and were both out of breath. While I was too busy trying to catch my breath, Logan took the chance to grab me and trap me there in his arms.
"Give up?" he asked me while I laughed and struggled to get out of his grip.
I stopped struggling and laughing for a moment, turned around and said, "Never."
"Fine, then you have left me with no other choice," he smirked a smirk I'd only seen when he wanted me to do something for him or wanted to win an argument. I knew it only meant one thing and one thing only. He was going to go for my main weakness.
I laughed hysterically as Logan tickled me while asking if I was going to give up. This went on for a good minute until I couldn't take it anymore and yelled, "Alright, alright! I give up! I surrender! I wave the white flag! Just please stop tickling me!"
I sighed in relief when he stop tickling and let go of me because my sides hurt from laughing so much. I glared at him, but he just smiled at me as if he hadn't just tickled me to death, while knowing it was my number one weakness.
"Still as ticklish as ever I see Neens," he said in amusement.
"You're such a great best friend Logan," I said, in a monotone.
"Face it, if I weren't here to do all these annoying things to and with you, you'd be really bored right now," he said.
I didn't want to admit it, but he did have a point though. If he hadn't come to hang out with me, I'd probably be sitting quietly on a bench doing nothing, but waiting for time to pass by before I went to design two dresses with Ari for the new song.
"You just don't want to admit it," he said after I kept quiet and shoved me gently with his shoulder. "Now let's go grab some napkins to clean this sticky ice-cream off."
I stuck my tongue out at his back before following him towards the ice-cream vendor to grab some napkins. I managed to get most of the ice-cream off, but I knew I definitely needed to clean up before meeting up with Ari. I could still smell the remnants of our ice-cream. I threw my dirty napkins in the closest bin and turned to Logan, who had just finished getting the last of the ice-cream off him. Well, most of the ice-cream.
I couldn't help but smile. This happened whenever I was around him. No matter what the occasion, I always smiled at the sight of him. I wondered why, though deep down inside I knew what it was. I knew that I really liked Logan Mitchell.
"So Neens, what would you like to do now?" he asked, giving me a huge smile.
"I don't know, how about we just take a walk? I haven't been on a walk in a long time," I suggested.
"Sure, I haven't been on a walk in ages too. Didn't you go on walks that have no purpose whatsoever back in London?" Logan asked.
"Not really," I replied, as we started walking. "My friends and I walked a lot everywhere, but usually we were on some errand. I never got a chance to just walk and take everything in, you know?"
"Yeah, I understand. The guys and I are always so busy that I haven't had a chance to just walk either. It's really nice that I finally get to do this, better because I'm here enjoying the sunshine with one of my best friends ever," he replied, once again smiling at me.
My smile faltered a little when I heard that he called me a friend, but that was better than nothing, so I put on another smile and said, "Aww Logan, you're my best friend too."
We walked around a bit and joked around a bit more before I checked the time. It was almost 5:30 and I still needed to meet up with Ari to plan our dresses and before I did that I still needed to clean up and get all the ice-cream off of me.
"Hey Logan, I need to go because I still need to clean up before I meet up with Ari to plan our dresses. It's nice to hang out with you again. See you tomorrow?" I said.
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow. Hey, before you go, do you want to um...," Logan asked, blushing. He seemed to be having trouble speaking. "Do you want to go to the movies tomorrow? You know, just us two?"
"Sure, I'd love to," I exclaimed as I smiled widely.
"Really?" he asked, looking really surprised.
"Yep, so I'll see you tomorrow. We'll leave at around 6?" I asked.
"Sure, bye Neens," he said, before I walked off happily.
I walked back to the hotel with, what I could tell, was a goofy smile. I just hung out with Logan all afternoon, plus he asked me to the movies tomorrow, so I was really, super happy. I was so happy that I totally forgot about Camille. I walked through the doors and was about to walk towards the elevator when Camille stepped in front of me, blocking my way. My smile faltered. She had her hands on her hips with a serious expression on her face.
"We need to talk," she said, not smiling whatsoever.
Uh oh
So what do you think? Pretty bad right? I already know its bad. Its not even close to 2,000 words ㅠ_ㅠ how depressing and sorry if the date-ish thing isn't realistic or something enough. I haven't actually... been on...uh...date before... O_O I know almost 17 and never been on a date, how sad and depressing...
Oh well, also if I start randomly spazzing sometime when (if) I update next month it's because my all time favourite group U-KISS made a comeback ^^ Non Kpoppers won't get this, maybe XD
