AN: And this is the last chapter of this fiction.
60 years later***
The years had passed quicker than many would have thought and suddenly it was over a half century later. Invitations had arrived to everyone respectively. It was the 111th birthday of their dear Bilbo Baggins. Sweet little Frodo Baggins had sent out the lavish invitations to all of Bilbo's friends. The invitations had gone far and wide throughout Middle Earth. At Erebor there was a jubilant noise upon seeing the invitation arrive. Young little Auriel had been watching for the letterman. She was always excited about letters. Her Auntie Harry had told her about the fascinating letters that her world had. She especially loved the Howlers.
"Young Lady Auriel, here is the letters for the royal family." the Letterman said and handed her the letters when he noticed her approaching him.
The young little half elf/half dwarrowdam accepted the letters graciously and asked him about his day. They conversed lightly and the letterman had to move on to continue his rounds. The red headed child scampered quickly away to the royal wing. No sooner did she enter was she scooped up by her father.
"Little Auriel where have you been?" Kili's voice asked her.
"Papa, I got the letters." she said and waved around the post.
"I see. Should have known." Her mother, Tauriel's voice flowed around her senses.
"Mama!" Auriel said excitedly and held up a letter.
Tauriel took the post from her young daughter. She rifled through them and pulled a couple out addressed to herself and Kili. Then she found the one addressed to them all. She showed Kili and he nodded as she opened it. She read it aloud.
"Ah, it will be good to see Bilbo again. It's been... what? 20 years? Frodo was a little lad when we last went to the Shire." Kili mused.
"I believe so. It would be good to travel to the Shire." Tauriel mentioned.
They moved off further into the royal wing and came upon the sitting room. Walking inside there was Dis and Fili and Fili's son, Ferrin. Fili barely smiled after his Lady had passed. Sigrid had been human and had passed after she gave birth to Fili and her set of twins. She had given him three sons and a daughter. It had been Ferrin, first, then followed his daughter, Gilda. Then she became pregnant very shortly after Gilda had been born. The night she had went into labor with the twins had destroyed Fili. He held Sigrid as she passed. He stayed with her through it all. Harry and Dis had done everything they could to save her, but it was not meant to be. Fili had become a shadow of himself. They all prayed that somehow, he would awake with a new soul mark.
"Mother. Brother." Kili greeted as they entered.
"Grandma!" Auriel squealed when she saw Dis, she was her grandmother's sweet baby.
Dis gathered the small child into her arms and set her on her lap. She bounced the small child on her knee as Tauriel mentioned the invitation. Dis was happy to hear from Bilbo but she voiced her amazement that a hobbit had lived over a century. It was odd for Hobbit's to live that long. The other's agreed but chalked it up to the Valar gifting him long life for the part he played in helping the Dwarrow of Erebor. As the continued their discussion Harry and Thorin came in with a whole passel of children of varying ages with them. Some were their children, and some were nieces and nephews. Dis smiled at her brother and then at Harry. She held up the invitation for Thorin to take.
Thorin accepted the ornate envelope from his younger sister. Thorin read it aloud to Harry and she smile graciously. She had missed Bilbo. It had been too many years since they had all went to see their dear friend. At that thought a wave of sadness came through Harry's mind. She dearly missed her friends from Hogwarts. What had happened to Ron? Hermione? The Weasley's? What happened to Hogwarts? Did everyone have a happy life like she had? Did they have children and families?
Thorin grabbing her hand pulled her from her reverie. He handed her an envelope with her name scrawled in beautiful Sindarin. It was from her other mate. She would split her time between Greenwood and Erebor. But both men would write letters to their beloved Lady when she was with the other. It was not ideal, but they had their own Kingdom's to run. It would end soon enough though. Thorin was stepping down and Fili was coming up. Thorin wanted to raise his children and be with Harry. Even if that meant he had to live in Greenwood. He and Thranduil actually formed a friendship and were very amenable to each other. For that Harry was grateful. She smiled as she read the letter. Her sweet stepchildren had also added pieces to the letter. Harry was so happy to have such a large and wonderful family. Now her only wish was to have the Weasley's there with her. They had been a family to her when she did not have one.
"Mama?" her youngest child pulled on her skirt.
She reached down to pick up the beautiful dwarrow child. He was just so beautiful and cherubic to her. He looked just like his father, Thorin, only with her eyes.
"Eldred, my precious boy." She said to him and held him close as he yawned.
"He is ready for bed, my dear." Thorin said and stroked the curly head of his child, "I'll take him."
"Thank you." Harry said and handed the boy over to his father.
Harry watched him go with the boy and she moved over to sit with Dis. Harry was grateful to get off her swollen feet. She was 7 months pregnant and was more than ready to get the little elfling out of her. Thranduil had been so pleased when she told him that she was expecting again. Thranduil loved children. Adored them. Legolas had told her that he was actually a very doting and loving father; yes, he was strict, but he was caring. Harry had been terrified when she found herself expecting for the first time and it was Thranduil that had quelled her fears. Thorin had not been far behind him in that regard. She was more than happy to give them as many children as they desired. She was sure that eventually that she would put a stop to it. She would like to travel more so she was sure that this one would the last one in a long time. It would be hard though. Both her kings were very ardent lovers and knew how to make her beg. And it was not fair.
"Harry, dear, how are you feeling?" Dis asked pulling her attention to the room.
"Ready to be unpregnant." Harry retorted and rubbed her bulging belly as Drago made himself known from her hair.
Dis and Tauriel laughed. They both knew her plight. Tauriel was also pregnant but only in the first trimester. Kili rubbed her hand and kissed it lightly with a mischievous grin on his face. A set of twin boys were crowded around Fili and were informing their father of the events they had shared of the day with Dwalin. When speaking to his children was when Fili came alive. He was a wonderful father. He was animated with his children and doted heavily on his only daughter. She looked so like her departed mother and Fili was quite protective of her. The door opening signaled that Thorin had returned.
Thorin's return was made known by his and Harry's children gathering around their papa. They wished for a story and Thorin was a great storyteller. It was getting close to bedtime, and they wished to have good dreams from an adventurous story. They all listened as Thorin told them the story of a baby boy that defeated an evil wizard. Harry had told Thorin her past story. He and Thranduil was quite accepting of everything she had told them, and she had been glad they were. Harry yawned and looked over at Fili as Thorin told the story. Fili was stroking his daughter's hair as she raptly paid attention to Thorin. Harry just happened to look at his hand just as words in Westron appeared in curvy script. Her sudden gasp brought all attention to her.
"Fili, your hand." she said and pointed to his hand.
Everyone looked towards him. There on his hand was a name. One that Harry knew very well. Her emerald eyes pooled with tears. There on her nephew's hand was the name of her best friend. Hermione Jean Granger.
