Hey guys! Hope you're having a great day!

Leo

"PIPER!" Jason's eyes shot open as Piper's body slipped from his grip and fell to the ground. Shaking the sleepiness her charm speak caused away, he dove towards her. Gaea fell limp on the deck, and the vines that had entangled the rest of the crew fell, completely useless.

Leo pulled them off of him and got to his feet. Annabeth readied the cannon and shot it at Gaea. She disintegrated immediately. Annabeth and Leo locked eyes, clear words traveling between their gazes. Was that it? Was it over?

Jason caught Piper before she hit the ground and sat on the rocks, cradling her head in his hands. He continuously screamed her name over and over. He shook her shoulders, hoping against hope that she would show any signs of life.

"Frank." Leo called from behind him. He ran towards the side and hurtled over the railing. Franks talons caught him on the way down, giving him a smooth landing. Leo ran the rest of the way over to Jason and baseball slid next to him.

"Piper! Wake up, please please please. Come on, please. Piper? PIPER?" Jason was near hysteria. Piper's head shook limply. Her eyes were closed and loosing color.

"PIPER?!" Jason screamed again. Leo bent down and felt for a pulse. There wasn't one. Leo's body went numb. No, not Piper. Not Beauty Queen. His best friend, his sister. They had been through so much together, this couldn't be the end.

"She doesn't have a pulse." The words buzzed in Leo's ears. They didn't seem true. Nothing seemed true. Time seemed to freeze earlier in the day. Nothing that happened after was real. Percy, Orion, Gaea, now Piper? Leo closed his eyes, feeling his body shake. No amount of jokes could fix this.

"NO!" Jason yelled. Hazel, who had followed everyone else down to the ground, starting crying. She went to Frank and buried herself in his hug. He bent his head down and hid his face in her shoulder. Percy and Annabeth knelt down by Piper. Annabeth seemed pale and terrified. It was her plan and this was the result. Another added guilt onto her already scarred mind.

"I know CPR." She swallowed. She shifted and laced one hand on top of the other. She started doing compressions in a rhythmic beat. Her hands were steady. Jason sat and watched, tears swimming in his eyes.

"Piper? Piper please! Please don't do this. You- you can't-" Jason held her hand between his two shaky ones. Annabeth, gritting her teeth, continued.

"Come on. Come on, Piper." Annabeth muttered under her breath. Nothing was happening. A single tear slipped down Annabeth's face. Leo watched, but after a while, closed his eyes.

Piper was the heart of the group. They couldn't loose her.

"I-I'm sorry." Annabeth was sobbing now, but refused to stop. Jason shakily stood up, unable to believe it.

"No. NO. She can't be. I-I-" Jason's face crossed with unimaginable grief. He clenched his hands at his side. The sky started to darken, clouds rolling through the bright blue. Thunder echoed through the cave. Jason barely seemed to notice, instead he was just staring at Piper. Percy wordlessly grabbed Annabeth's arm and pulled her away from Piper. Everyone slowly backed up.

Jason let out a scream and lighting tore through the sky and hit Piper right in the chest. Jason dropped to his knees, the air buzzing with electricity. Leo blinked in surprise, then bent over Piper. He felt her neck and let out a laugh of relief. He felt a weak heartbeat, but weak was at least apparent.

Leo was laughing hysterically. "You did it man. You did it." He put his hands over his face, trying to compose himself. Jason crawled over to Piper and felt her pulse for himself. He started crying harder than ever, relief washing over him. Everyone else was hugging each other, relief making them almost dizzy.

"We-we have to get out of here." Hazel finally said. Jason nodded and picked Piper up, bridal style. He flew her to the ship. Landing on the deck, he took her downstairs to the med bay, kissing her forehead as he went.

Several hours later

Annabeth stumbled to Akhlys and drove a sword straight through her side. She screamed and exploded into dust. Percy shot up, looking incredibly scared. He coughed a couple times and looked around, fear written all over his face.

"Did- did you swallow any?" Annabeth looked in pain. She gingerly touched her bleeding head. Percy was breathing raggedly and seemed too scared to answer. Annabeth looked up at him and dread filled her face.

"I- I couldn't stop her. She was sh-shoving it down my throat. W-what's going to happen to me?" Percy sounded downright terrified.

"We-we can find a cure when we get out. Are-are you okay now?" Annabeth seemed to be trying to convince herself more than Percy.

"Yeah I-I feel completely fine. Completely. Are you okay?" Of course Percy was concerned about her.

"We're going to be okay Percy. I promise." Annabeth looked at him and he nodded.

Leo woke with a start. It was haunting watching Percy and Annabeth in Tartarus. The fear on Percy's face and the fact that Leo knew what happened afterwards. How Percy nearly died. Slumped against the wall in Athens, eyes rolling in his head. Leo opened his eyes.

After coming back to the ship, everyone knew they needed sleep, but were unwilling to go sit in a dark room alone. So, their solution was to drag all the mattresses up to the main room and have a big "slumber party". They also brought up the unconscious Piper to keep an eye on her.

Piper had shown zero signs of life since they got here other than her heartbeat, but that was enough. After feeding her too much nectar and ambrosia, they decided that there was not much else they could do. Jason refused to leave her side and slept next to her.

Leo slept in between Hazel and Annabeth. Frank was on Hazel's other side and through Leo's closed eyes, he could hear their deep breathing. Percy and Annabeth were sharing a mattress, and seemed to dare anyone to tell them not to. No one said a word about it.

Opening his eyes and sitting up, Leo quickly realized it was roughly three in the morning. He rubbed his eyes and looked around. Jason had his arm around Piper. Hazel and Frank were facing each other. And Annabeth was sleeping alone. Wait, WHAT?

Where was Percy? Leo stood up, heart suddenly beating quickly. Leo felt no more side effects of sleep. Did something happen to him? Did the cure wear off or something and he ran off? Was it not safe and he died? Panicking, Leo walked out of the room and into the kitchen where he stopped dead.

Percy was sitting at the kitchen table, drinking a glass of blue liquid. He looked up startled when Leo entered, then relaxed.

"I thought I was the only one up." Percy took a drink. "Want some?" He slid a glass across the table and it lost it's momentum within arms reach of Leo. Leo grabbed it and sat down, feeling numb. He still could not believe that Percy was actually here acting normally.

"Crazy day, huh." Percy leaned back in his chair.

"You could say that." Leo inspected the glass.

"You know what's funny. This morning, I was in Tartarus. Except, I wasn't. It's so weird to be here right now." He shook his head as if he couldn't figure out the words to express his thoughts.

"You really don't remember anything?" Leo side glanced at him, thinking of all the things Percy said and did over the last couple of weeks. And he had no idea.

"Nope. Last thing I remember was Akhlys right over me, then that's it. I was just in a random room under a table. I didn't even blink or anything. I was just there. And Orion showed me that vision of what happened on the cliff, but it's not like a memory. It was like I was watching a movie about a different person. I can't believe I actually did that." Percy seemed ashamed. He set the glass back down on the table.

"So you remember Akhlys being over you, but not you actually being poisoned?" Leo watched Percy's reaction and wondered vaguely if Percy could read his face. He thought of the vision Keres showed him of that moment. The choking, the screams.

"No. Do you know what happened?" Percy leaned forward, almost excitedly. He seemed extremely curious about what happened. But, of course, so would anyone.

"Well, yeah, yeah I do. Keres showed me part of it at least. And I had a dream about it." Leo shifted uncomfortably.

Percy looked at him expectantly. Leo sighed and continued. "I don't really know how to explain it. She just kinda forced it down your throat and Annabeth killed her. She asked you if you were okay and you said you were."

Percy looked down. "And what happened after that?"

Leo started drumming his fingers, morse code for I love you. "Annabeth doesn't really talk about Tartarus much. It's a touchy subject, obviously. I mean, when she came back, we all thought you were dead. It's not like she was really opening up then. Then when you came back, we were just kinda focused on the cure, not what happened."

Percy nodded and was silent for a second. "But I closed the doors?" He seemed like he couldn't believe that he would do something like that.

"Yeah. We didn't see that either. When we showed up, the doors were closed, you were gone, and Annabeth was all alone crying. And of course we have no idea what you did after that. The next time we saw you was on that cliff." Leo sighed.

"After that, we pretty much just kept you locked up in the med bay most of the time. Until we got to Athens of course. Then we all got separated and Annabeth found the cure." Leo's voice shook slightly. His mind screamed the moment he left out.

"Hazel told me something." Percy shifted.

"She told you I saw you die?" Leo gave up on trying to keep the secret. It was a fruitless battle.

"Yeah."

"I really thought you were dead, Percy." Leo looked at him. "I mean, you were unconscious. It didn't look like you were breathing. You weren't moving or anything. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left, but monsters were coming. I freaked out. I'm sorry."

"Dude, it doesn't matter anymore. The point is I didn't die." Percy put down his cup. Leo looked at him gratefully and nodded.

"You know, the thing I'm curious about is the whole Tartarus thing. Like, what happened down there?" Leo leaned forward.

"Well I only remember half of it. The only person who knows the other part is-" Percy said.

"Me." Annabeth stepped into the room.

"You owe me." She said pointing a finger at Percy.

"What? Why?" Percy genuinely seemed shocked.

"You just left me in the middle of the night. You freaked me out." She took the seat next to him.

"Sorry." He muttered. Annabeth just rolled her eyes and turned to Leo.

"Listen, Leo, if I'm going to tell the story, I'd rather have everyone in here. I don't want to tell it twice." Annabeth scowled.

"Yeah, okay." Leo nodded.

"I'll wait for everyone to wake up." Annabeth crossed her arms. "Including Piper."

"You think she's going to be okay?" Percy asked.

"She better be." Annabeth sighed.

And the night went on like that. None of them wanted to go to sleep, so they stayed up, talking. Leo thought they were all just glad to have someone there. Hazel woke up next and joined them, followed soon by Frank. Jason woke up and popped his head in to see them all, then went back to Piper.

Leo looked over at the consul by Festus's head. It was set for Camp Half-Blood. Leo smiled for the first time in a long time. They were going home.

Please reivew!

Wow that was long.
