Updated 7.4.22. Rory Scanlon and Ace Merrill made it to their senior year before their paths ever crossed. When the popular princess from the view and the cheap dime store hood's lives become unexpectedly intertwined, they both learn that reputation and perception are far from reality.

Hello Friends -

The second lockdown earlier this year prompted me to take another look at this story and as of 3.27.22 have posted a rewritten version that contains an extended first Ace chapter as well as a new Rory chapter to kick the story off among a few other edits. I'd suggest starting from the beginning (even if you've been here before) as some new detail has been added.

Story takes place in Maine

Takes the book's perspective that Ace is slightly younger during the events of "The Body." This story starts roughly a year following the Ray Brower situation and Ace is 17 going on 18.

Unlike in both the book & film, this story explores Ace's life after he had to spend a year in Juvie for his retaliation on Chris, Gordie, Vern and Teddy.

The majority of the characters are original, living in Stephen King's fictitious Castle Rock with Ace Merrill and his Cobras in the year following the events of the book/film.
