Luz, Amity, Hunter, Willow, and Gus wait at the front door of Camila's house, shattered and fearful of what will happen back at the Boiling Isles now that The Collector is in control.

Luz is still trying to process everything that happened and can't help but think it's all her fault for helping Phillip. The guilt is eating away at her, but she doesn't have time to worry about that. She needs to get her friends out of the rain.

Luz knocks on the door and waits patiently for her Mom.

Camila opens the door, shocked to see Luz and her friends so broken down.

"Hey Mom, I'm back." Luz said, tears in her eyes while she tries to hide her pain with a slight smile.

Camila hugs Luz, so relieved to have her daughter back home and in her arms again. Luz freezes for a moment from the sudden contact, but hugs her back. Her friends join in the hug, being there for each other during this hopeless time.

Camila lets them all inside and has them gather around in the living room to explain what happened. The kids all look at one another, too shaken up to relive those horrifying events.

Amity looks at Luz and can tell she's struggling, so she puts her hand on her shoulder. Then Amity takes a deep breath and explains what happened.

"We had to fight Belos while he was a horrifying monster. We almost didn't make it, but then an even more terrifying kid with dangerous powers destroyed Belos with a flick of his finger." Amity said.

"The Collector." Hunter said.

"Who?" Amity asked.

"They're called The Collector. A child from the stars that isn't a witch or demon. They're basically just a child with unlimited powers. A deadly combination. I've heard stories of the horrible things they've done. And now that they're free...I don't know if anyone's going to survive back at the Boiling Isles." Hunter explained in a despondent tone.

Everyone stares at Hunter shocked. They can't believe this is happening. Their home is most likely being destroyed, they're loved ones might not survive, and there's nothing they can do about it.

Luz just stares at the floor blankly, a hopeless expression across her face as tears well up in her eyes. She believes this is all her fault and the weight of that heavy realization crashes down on her.

Suddenly, Luz sees images flashing before her eyes. The moment The Collector came and started causing chaos and destruction. When she tried to hold the portal open to save everyone while trying to stay behind and go back for Eda. And finally when King used his powers to save her, pushing her through the portal door and back into the human realm.

Luz is crushed by the realization that there's no way they can go back and help Eda, King, Lilith, and everyone else she's grown to love on the Boiling Isles. Her found family's gone and it's tearing her up inside. But she tries to be strong for everyone else, subconsciously blocking her feelings as a response to all of the trauma she endured.

Amity notices Luz's distressed state and puts her arm around her.

"Luz, are you okay?" Amity asked.

"I'm fine. We just need to focus on finding a way back to the Boiling Isles so we can save our friends and family." Luz replied, in a stoic tone.

Amity's never seen Luz like this before. Her once happy and optimistic girlfriend is slowly becoming cold and distant and that scares her. She's about to say something, but is interrupted by Hunter.

"Luz is right, we need to focus on finding a way back. There's no time to dwell on what happened if we want to save our home." Hunter said.

Willow and Gus nod in agreement, still shaken up by everything that's happened, but they're doing their best to be strong.

Amity looks at her friends' beaten down appearances and knows she needs to be the voice of reason in this situation. Then she looks at Luz's hopeless yet angry expression and can't help but feel incredibly sad for her girlfriend. So she speaks up.

"Look at us, we're all exhausted. We need to rest and recover from everything that just happened before we start making plans. Let's get some sleep and recharge. We can get to work in the morning." Amity replied, in a calm but firm tone.

"I agree, you all need medical attention, food, and sleep. I'll go get my medical supplies and some food. You're safe now, and you need to rest." Camila added.

With that, Camila leaves and quickly returns with bowls of soup for everyone. Vee hands them out while Camila uses her first aid kit to patch the kids up one by one. Then she gets to Luz and starts patching up the cut on her eyebrow.

"Mija, are you doing okay?" Camila asked, concerned.

Luz keeps her brave face on, holding back tears. She wants to cry and let herself feel comforted by her Mom, but she can't let herself be vulnerable. Not after everything that happened and how much it hurt her.

Luz looks around and notices everyone staring at her with concern.

"I'm fine. Would everybody stop worrying about me? We have bigger problems." Luz said.

"That's true, but we've all been through a lot. And we need to support each other." Amity replied.

Amity does her best to put on a hopeful smile and tries to hold Luz's hand, but Luz pulls away.

"I just need to be alone right now." Luz said.

Luz starts walking upstairs to her room while Amity reaches out her hand, but pulls back and decides to give Luz some space. Then she looks back to her friends.

"It's been a long night. We should all get some rest." Amity said.

The kids all nod in agreement and Camila gets some sleeping bags for them. Once they're all patched up, fed, and ready for bed, they lie down in the dark trying their best to fall asleep.

Amity looks up at the stairs and wonders what Luz is doing. She hopes Luz is getting some sleep, but she knows her girlfriend too well. She knows Luz will selflessly think about ways to save the people she loves instead of taking care of herself. It's what Amitly loves about her, but it's also what concerns her.

Back in Luz's room, she lies in her bed staring up at the ceiling with an angry yet sad expression, blaming herself for everything that's happened. Tears well up in her eyes and fall down her cheeks as she thinks about all of the deaths she's responsible for. All of the people she loves, suffering because of her mistake.

It's all my fault…I need to find a way to get back. I need to build a new portal. I'm responsible for this and I need to do everything in my power to fix the mess I've made.

Luz sits up, wiping her tears away with a determined yet sad look on her face as she gets out of bed. She walks over to her window and opens it as she climbs out into the pouring rain and starts running away from home. She's cold and scared, but she doesn't let that stop her.

Luz arrives at the abandoned house where the portal door once was. She takes a deep breath and opens it, disappointed once again to find there's no Boiling Isles on the other side. So she walks inside and closes the door, sitting on the floor in defeat.

I deserve this. To be alone and suffering in this creepy abandoned house. I'm a horrible person.

Luz curls up in a fetal position and starts crying alone. She lets herself feel all of the intense emotions she's been holding in. It's terrifying and painful, but she can't hold back any longer.

Suddenly, Luz hears an ominous creaking sound. She looks around the house in fear and stands up. Getting into a fighting stance, ready to defend herself.

"Who's there?" Luz asked, desperately trying to stay strong.

No answer. Just the lonely silence Luz has found herself in. Then, she hears a familiar voice just outside the front door.

"Running away from home. That's exactly what I would have done in the past, but I've changed for the better. Let's hope you haven't changed for the worse." Hunter said.
