Letty furrowed her eyebrows in slight confusion as she noticed from out her window that cars were zipping fast by them. She looked over at Dom "What's going on Dom? PUNCH IT!"
"I'm driving as fast as I can."
Dom lied, because all in reality he could definitely drive faster but subconsciously Dom was driving more cautiously then what he normally would because of Letty's pregnancy. He didn't want to take the risk of crashing and flipping them over.
"No you're not!" Letty yelled. She watched at other racers easily speed past them. "Let me drive!" She demanded.
"No Letty I don't want you flipping this car over."
"Then push your foot harder down on the pedal! I don't want this slow driving bullshit Dom; I want fierce, fast, and the furious Dom!" Letty unstrapped her buckle and knelt on the passenger seat. "Dom I'll drive and you can shoot this thing." She attempted to move over to the driver side climbing over onto Dom's lap and inadvertently rubbing her ass against his crotch.
Dom gritted his teeth. "Shit Let." He sat straight up and tried to peek his head from around Letty's small figure and focused his attention onto the road.
"Move Dom." Letty demanded as she was comfortably positioning herself on his lap.
"Dammit Let no! You're distracting me. Get back into your seat and strap yourself in." Dom demanded in a growl.
"Well dang it Dom, drive faster then." Letty grunted as she moved back into her seat and strapped herself in.
Dom gritted his teeth and push down onto the pedal, dodging and skillfully maneuvering cars, while working his way up to the front.
Letty grinned and excitedly balled her hands into fists. "Woohoo! Now this is what I'm talking about!" She yelled out in a cheer. She graciously leaned over and kissed Dom's cheek.
Meanwhile Tej was being blocked by three cars that didn't give him an opening to pass. He was able to see Shaw's car in the distance. Tej shifted gears and sped up to a car to the far right that was blocking him. Tej smacked his rear causing that car to collide with the other two cars, clearing Tej's path. Hobbs popped out of the window and aimed his cannon at Shaw's vehicle. His aim was locked and he was about to pull the trigger when another mysteries car bumped Tej from behind causing Hobbs to drop the cannon on the road. "FUCK!" Hobbs screamed as he climbed back into the car. He aggressively grabbed the walkie-talkie. "I lost the shot! I repeat I lost the shot! "
Dom picked up his walkie-talkie and spoke into it. "It's all right you still got another shot at it."
"Can't, dropped the cannon." Hobbs voice muffled through his walkie-talkie.
Dom slammed down his walkie-talkie. "Shit" he muttered.
Hobbs turned his head to the side and faced Tej, Tej looked at him and shrugged noncommittally. Hobbs loaded his hand pistol. "Good thing I brought my babies with me." Tej chuckled as Hobbs pulled his big and muscular upper half figure out the window and attempted shooting at his targets.
Brian and Roman were passing every car in their way. They were easily making their way up to the front. There were a lot of hazards on the road including large blocks of concrete and mines.
From all the bumps and holes their car came in contact with, Roman's cannon fell off from his lap. "Man stop moving around so much you're making me dizzy!" Roman complained as he reached down for his weapon.
"Just let me drive!" Brian grunted.
Roman covered his mouth with the back of his hand. "I think I'm going to puke."
Brian continued steering expertly through and in between the many cars. He looked up at his rear mirror and saw a familiar pair of headlights. "Dude there's Shaw get the Shell ready." He ordered.
Roman popped out from the sunroof of the car and aimed his weapon all while Brian was dodging debris and other hazards. Roman was peering through the scope. Once he got a lock on Shaw he pulled the trigger. There was a loud bang as the Blue Shell spiraled over to Shaw's hood, but Shaw made a sharp turn and the shell ended up hitting a wall.
"Damn! I missed!" Roman exclaimed.
"We still got one more shot left. Make it count!" Brian yelled back
Meanwhile Dom and Letty were right behind Shaw's car and were also getting closer to him. Letty Popped out from the sunroof. "Hand me the Cannon!" she yelled out to Dom. Dom passed the weapon over to her. Letty began to take aim. She carefully took her time making sure she had a clear shot of Shaw's car before pulling the trigger.
But from the rear view mirror Dom saw one of the armored cars that was guarding Shaw earlier, come out from the right side and head right for Dom's car. Dom's hands instinctively reached out and grabbed Letty by the belt, pulling her down as hard as he could back onto her seat and causing her to lose her shot.
Letty was really unaware on why the hell Dom abruptly yanked her down into the car. "The fuck Dom!?" She growled when Dom roughly sat her down. And before Dom had the time to explain anything, the sudden impact of them getting hit by the armored car happened in a blink of an eye. Dom pulled his steering wheel clock-wise as hard as he could in hopes to veer back on path but the hit was so grand that it caused Dom to smash through the rail and took them speeding uncontrollably downhill deep into the dark woods.
Back at the race, Brian and Roman were also gaining closer to Shaw. Roman was prepping his Cannon for his final shot and carefully aimed it over again at Shaw's car. Brian ignited his nitro boosters in an attempt to tailgate Shaw's car, but he got distracted when he witnessed Dom's car getting hit by one of Shaw's guard trucks, causing his friends car to spin and derail off road. He frantically watched how his friend lost control of his vehicle and disappeared downhill into the dark woods. Brian immediately reached for the walkie-talkie and tried calling out for Dom and Letty, but there was no response.
Roman locked his aim on Shaw. He pulled the trigger right when another racer inconveniently slammed into Brian's car throwing Roman's aim way off and he missed Shaw's cars completely by 10 feet.
"Damn it that was our last chance! It's all up to Dom and Letty now" Roman said as he climbed back into his seat.
Brian nervously looked over at Roman and grabbed the walkie-talkie and spoke into it. "Guys I think we lost Dom and Letty."
Tej grabbed hold of his walkie-talkie. "What do you mean we lost them!?"
"One of Shaw's men hit them and pushed them off the road, they're lost somewhere in the woods" Brian's voice muffled through his walkie-talkie. Roman snatched the walkie-talkie from Brian's hands and spoke in it. "We can't get a hold of them man!"
Tej eyes widen and he immediately looked up Hobbs who had half his body out the window and was shooting at his targets front windows and/or tires.
Tej gripped onto his walkie-talkie tighter. "Dom! Letty! Do you guys copy? guys!" Tej tried to call out for them, but all Dom and Letty could hear on the other side of their walkie-talkie was pure static.
Dom and Letty's car had drifted off road where there was no reception.
There was a long silence between Dom and Letty. Dom kept his focus onto the abandon dirt road that would lead them to god knows where, while Letty sat on the passenger side with her legs on the dashboard and with arms crossed over her chest. The crash had really steered them down into the woods. Dom felt like they have been driving for a while and there wasn't a single sign of them getting back on path. The only sound that was heard was the sound of their own growling engine and the crackling of leaves as the car sped through the scenery.
Letty pursed her lips and turned her head to the side and faced Dom. She cleared her throat. "I'm…I'm sorry…for snapping at you."
Dom didn't say anything. Silence
He kept his focus straight forward. Letty softly bit onto her lower lip and nodded. She also turned her focus straight forward into the dark woods. After a good minute or so, Dom sighed. "I'm sorry that I failed on you." He spoke lowly.
Letty furrowed her eyebrows. "Fail on me?"
Dom stuttered. "I'm sorry I couldn't win this race."
Dom's usual strong and baritone voice seemed to have broken, and it definitely brought Letty to be surprised by it. "Hey don't say that." Letty spoke reassuringly. She leaned over and placed her lips onto his cheek and gently rubbed her hand on his thigh. "It doesn't matter if we win or lose, as long as we're both safe and together."
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Dom asked concerned.
"Babes I feel fine."
Dom nodded in content and relieve at her response. He sighed. "I screwed up. I let the whole team down."
"You didn't screw anything up," Letty shrugged "and who knows; maybe one of the boys actually got Shaw."
"Doubt it, Shaw was way ahead of us and the guys all ran out of blue shells." Dom angrily slammed his hands down onto the steering wheel. "I can't believe that asshole crashed into us."
"Well maybe we could make the best out of it." Letty said suggestively.
"How so? We're lost in the middle of the fucking woods, with no reception and no sort of navigation." Dom growled.
Letty unstrapped herself and knelt onto her seat. She reached over and placed her lips onto his neck. She placed small, wet and gentle kisses on his neck, trailing them up until she reached his ear. Dom tightened his grip onto the steering wheel. "Let, you gotta buckle up."
"Shh, hush papa. Just relax." Letty purred into his ear. She gently flicked her tongue around his earlobe, causing Dom to groan.
Letty smiled and softly bit onto his earlobe. "Fuck, Let." Dom grunted as his hand subconsciously looped around her petite form. When Letty felt a slight tug from him, she quickly spun her right leg over, so she would now be straddling him. She rested her hands on his shoulder. "Pull over." She whispered into his ear.
So there was no way in hell he couldn't not listen to her but at the same time (and even though they were lost) they were still technically at the race. There was really a very small slight chance to actually find the road that led back to the race and there was only a one percent chance to actually beat Shaw and win the race.
Dom enfolded an arm around her waist while with the other hand he took control of the steering wheel. Letty crashed her lips down onto his neck and began to suck and bite into it.
Dom felt himself entering a blissful state of mind as he felt Letty's warm tongue glaze against his skin. He slowed down the speed of the moving car from the orgasmic feeling of Letty's warm breath against his neck. Letty's hands traveled down onto his pants buckle and she frantically started to unstrapped them. "Seriously Let? Right here?" Dom groaned, in desire for her body .As soon as Dom heard his pants buckle jingle and heard his zipper pull down, that's when Dom knew Letty was pretty dead serious.
The unexpected growl of hungry thunderous clouds interrupted Dom's heavenly state of mind and brought Letty to pull her lips away from his neck. Both notice a massive set of clouds conquering and invading the clear blue skies, turning the whole sky into gray.
"Put on your seatbelt Let." Dom demanded lowly
Letty jumped onto her seat and obediently obliged to her fiancés command.
The loud thunders brought rain to cascade down from the sky, causing the dirt road to become a mud fest. Dom slightly turned his head to the side. "Let you're buckled in right?" He asked, just making sure if the mother of his unborn child was safely strapped in.
Letty nodded.
Dom's eyes were completely focused on the path they were on, hoping that he would eventually see a road that led back into the race. He began to feel frustration over losing the opportunity to take Shaw down. Dom knew that if they didn't succeed, then the danger of Shaw going after his family would be greater than before. He didn't want to go through another marathon of globetrotting and keeping his loved ones on dangers sight.
Letty took notice of the trouble stirring in Dom's face. "You didn't fail."
"It feels like I did."
Letty looked out her window and tried to look past the dark muddy woods for any hope of getting them out of their dilemma. She too was starting to feel hopeless, that was until she saw lights from far out in the distance. She gave Dom a slap on the arm and shouted "Look over there!" She pointed out in the direction where she saw the lights.
"I don't see anything"
"I swear I saw lights in that direction! Go there now!"
Dom did as directed to and pushed the pedal to the floor in the direction his fiancé was pointing at. He leaned his face forward closer to the windshield to get a better look out the window. "Let, I don't see anything."
"But I know I saw lights over there, just keeping flooring it"
The flashes of lighting and heavy rain fall, made it difficult for Dom to see the path out of the woods. But he nonetheless decided to listen and to trust in his soon-to-be wife.
"Look there's a road!" Letty exclaimed ecstatically.
Dom made a sharp turn onto the road and headed up on a decent fair hill.
"Do you think this is the right road?"
Dom shrugged. "Not sure, but at least it's not the woods."
When the couple made it to the top of the hill, at their relieve they were able to see the finish line in a close distance.
"There's the finish line." Dom pointed out.
"But where's everyone else? You'd think they'd be there by now."
Dom pulled his car to the side of the road and turned off his engine. He slipped out of the car and got a better look at the finish line. Letty also got out of the car and pulled her hoodie over her head. She made her way towards Dom and stood by his side, also in complete awe of their luck. They both clearly saw that no one was at the finish line. They amusingly looked over at each other with the only sound of the rain hitting against their jackets.
Letty broke the silence. "Did we find a short cut here or something?"
Dom quickly turned around to face the road behind them. "You might be right"
In unison they both heard a car coming in from the distance; the sound of Shaw's car engine
"Letty get the cannon… Now!" Dom ordered.
Letty rushed over to her side of the car and dove in through the window to get the cannon out from the passenger side floor.
"He's coming!." Dom shouted as he ran to his car and turned the headlights off.
Right then and there Ian Shaw's car popped over the horizon. Shaw was unable to see Dom and Letty standing at the side of the dark road.
With ease, Dom lifted Letty onto the roof of his car. Letty took aim and locked on to the hood of Shaw's car.
Still unaware of the danger ahead, Shaw grew a sinister smile on his face when he was able to see the lights from the finish line ahead in the distance. He confidently pushed his pedal all the way down to the floor.
As Shaw looked up at his rear view mirror he scoffed to himself. "Sorry Dominic Toretto, you need to be fast to beat me."
And all of a sudden and at his surprise, he heard and felt something hit the hood of his car. He furrowed his eyebrows when he saw a tiny blue light flashing on it. He then saw Dom and Letty standing at the side of the road in the rain. Letty had just lowered her weapon when Shaw's car drove past them.
Shaw then immediately brought his attention back at the blinking blue light which had started to blink even more rapidly. He realized what the strange little light was and in the time it took for him to react. "Bloody Hell!" He screamed out. His car then flipped forward in the air and crashed into the ground, tumbling to a stop just10 feet from the finish line.
Dom's car pulled up to Shaw's wreck. Both he and Letty got out and saw Ian Shaw upside down and still buckled in his seat. Dom felt his anger build up and in one quick motion he reached for the door on Shaw's car and almost ripped it off from the hinges. Dom grabbed Shaw out of his car and pulled him up to his face. Shaw displayed a bloody smile "Dominic Toretto?!"
"It's over" Dom pulled his head back and lunged it forward, head-butting Shaw in the middle of his face and knocking him out instantly.
Dom dropped Shaw on the floor and looked back at Letty. She amusing leapt into his arms and wrapped her legs around his waist. Dom grinned and held her tight in his arms. He looked up into the eyes of his soaking wet fiancé. "You ready to go home now?" He asked with a cocky smirk crept onto his face.
Letty chuckled. "You bet your ass papa" She wrapped her arms around his neck and crashed her lips onto his lips.
The sound of hungry engines brought Letty and Dom to pull away. They both saw headlights out in the distance. Letty unhooked her legs from around his waist and jumped out of his embrace. "But first let's fucking win this race!" She exclaimed.
Dom chuckled and nodded. He shoved Shaw into the trunk of his car and both he and Letty strapped themselves inside their car.
Dom successfully drove passed the finish line and by technicality won the race with his true trophy seating right next to him.
I had plans to end it with 28 chapters but as you already took notice the race took up two chapters, so now I'm ending the story with 29 chapters!
