Chap 15- Guardian Triangle

Boxer used the pole on her axe to vault herself over rubble. Hulk was moving ridiculously fast. Then again, when you only have to jump to go several blocks you really don't measure your own strength. Nor act like they don't have the intelligence to do the former.

Boxer started to climb up onto the roof that Hulk was standing. The fire escape had been damaged so that was a no go. Unless she wanted to fall to her death. The building was already evacuated because it was practically broken in half and off-set. Boxer made her axe's pole become its normal size and put it in her belt before she grabbed onto the off-set side bricks of the building and started to climb. She bit back whimpers of pain as the ragged bricks bit into her palms and fingers.

Boxer's muscles screamed that she should hop back down onto the ground and find another way. She refused and kept climbing. It was too late to find another way. The building she was on shook, and Boxer nearly lost her balance, but she held on. Hulk let out a feral roar above Boxer, the building shook even more, bricks started to fall all of them narrowly missing Boxer's unprotected head. She kept climbing, her only focus was to get to the Hulk.

She grabbed the ledge of the roof and pulled herself over it. She spotted Hulk roaring at aliens, grabbing them off their chariots as they got to close and throwing them away from him. As Boxer ran up Hulk turned and saw he, he roared at her, and Boxer stopped short. The Hulk was in a rage... Would he attack her? Could he no longer recognize her?

A Chitauri made to attack Hulk, Boxer snapped into action, she ran forward and jumped as high as she could! She hit the Chitauri and it's chariot. She dug her axe deep into it's neck before removing it and flipping back off onto the roof top.

Two more flew for the Hulk, who gabbed them by the face and slammed then down. Boxer ran over to help him as more kept coming. That when they both looked up to see hundreds of riders hovering over them.

Then... they began to fire energy blasts. Boxer yelped as the Hulk shielded her body as the blasts came for them.

Captain America, Eletrica and Thor were on the streets fighting side by side. Cap and Thor both threw their respected weapons while Eletrica shot off pistols and summoned lightning. Thor caught Mjolnir, and as Cap turned, an Energy Blast struck him down hard. Eletrica bellowed in agner before she sharted shooting her pistols to give Captain cover. Thor ran over to broken car, swung his hammer and flipped the car over on its die, crushing a few alien soldiers. Cap tries to get up but Thor and Eltrica have to help him back to his feet. Cap raises his shield back up.

"You ready for another bout," Thor asked both of his comrades.

Eletrica's eyes crackled with power,"Damn straight!"

" What," Captain America tried to be light in the mist of battle,"You gettin' sleepy?"

I walked into the tower to see Loki standing were he had been previously before when Tony and I had first come,"Loki," I yelled at him.

He turned, as if in a daze, confused,"Tyra...?"

I growled and pulled out my dirk,"Guess again you son of a bitch," I held my weapon out threateningly. My bow and arrows had been used up before even setting into the Tower. The dirk was the only thing I had left.

My heart ached, could I even use it against him?

"Nicole," Loki still looked confused,"I thought you fell..."

I shook my head as tears formed in my eyes,"No! Hati and Sköll caught me... Loki," I held the dirk threateningly out at him,"Call. Off. The. Army!"

Loki's face cleared and then darkened,"Nicole, I cannot. It is too late. I... I am sorry."

I bit back a scream,"Sorry?!," I threw the dirk at him but it missed,"You try to take over my world -causing many innocent deaths in the process- and all you can say is SORRY!"

Loki's own anger rose and he stood straighter as he raised his own voice,"What do you WANT me to say Nicole?!"

I paused for a moment as my world started collapsing. I was in a war I didn't want to be in, one I had joined reluctantly almost a full year ago. This man that I didn't know if I loved or was just some girl crush was standing in front of me and I didn't know what I wanted from him. I've been trying to... To just understand him. Maybe I could in my own way.

"I... I don't know.." I lowered my eyes to the floor,"I don't know if there is anything you could say. I really don't."

Loki reached out for me, but before he could touch me... The world around us changed. For the worse!

We were standing on bare rock. IN SPACE. I opened my mouth to scream at Loki to undid what he probably did, when Loki grabbed me, forced me behind him and hissed,"Don't say a word."

A voice spoke in front of us,"The Army is failing you," God that sounded awful... All gravely and deep.

Loki's voice was a bit sarcastic mixed with rage as he sneered,"That is not my fault now is it?"

"Hold your tounge,"The vioce snapped back,"And Remeber who saved you from your death!"

Wait wait wait, death? I made note to ask Loki about that later. Loki seemed to stiffen,"I've already repaid my debt- you and YOUR MASTER know that."

The vioce chuckled, I crouched closer to Loki. This was WAY outta my comfort zone. I could barely breathe...

HOLD ON! I COULD BARELY BREATHE!

I was silently gasping. The vioce sneered back at Loki,"You should watch how you speak- unless the young woman behind you is price enough for your imprudence."

Loki snarled and turned to me, I looked fearfully up at him,"H... Help," I gasped,"C... Can't," I grabbed my throat."

Loki's eyes widened, he turned around back at the Other, who might I say- was extremely alien- dressed in cloaks and a mask. Loki screamed at it,"What have you done to her?!"

The Other didn't say anything. Loki turned back to me,"Nicole?!" he leaned down and grabbed my hand. I gripped it hard. It hurt, my eyesight was turning black at the edges, I didn't have a lot of time. Loki picked me up bridal style, "What did you do," He screamed again. I clung to him, trying to stay awake.

The Other simply said,"As long as she is not with her wolves her magic relies on records. Yet, here on this blasted rock there are no records- besides in the mind, which she cannot reach. She has no magic to breathe."

Loki held me tighter,"Send us back," He snarled,"Or you shall pay."

The Other took a step forward,"And why would I send you back," it threw it's arms out,"She is just another human woman. She cannot mean THAT much to you," it studied Loki's face,"Aw... I see that perhaps she means more. Does the Ice Man have a heart?"

Loki didn't move I looked up at him,"L... Loki. Please... Help..."

Loki looked down at me an placed his finger tips right over mouth he quietly spoke a few words I couldn't catch and I could breath easier. At least it eased the pain in my chest.

The Other shook it's head,"Now Laufeyson. You must know that spell will not last forever. So I shall make you a deal. Confess your love to her and I'll let you go."

Loki's jaw worked as he thought. That's when it dawned on me, if Loki lost against the Guardians and and Avengers, and these guys knew I was important to him... I shivered and clung tighter gasping for more air as fear trickled into my blood. The spell was wearing off and I doubted Loki could cast it again.

Loki looked down at me, I tried to make it clear in my expression that it was okay. That he didn't have to tell them.

Because I didn't really know if I wanted to hear the answer.

Loki seemed to come to a resolve, he took a deep breath and swallowed and held me closer to him, looked the other straight in the eye and stood up straight,"This woman is the most important thing to me. I love her."

Well. That practically made me stop breathing in itself. The Other let out a hiss. Loki and I locked eyes. Deep inside me I knew he wasn't lying.

"We will come for you if you do not win Laufeyson. And the girl."

We were back in New York. I could breathe. Loki set me down but I was still holding on to him. I didn't want to let him go.

Sammy, Haley, and Diana all stood at the center of the city as they came up with their plan for the Triangle.

"I'll take 39th," Sammy said as she pulled a piece of rubble off of a man. He thanked them then got the heck outta dodge,"Someone needs to take 53rd and someone will have to run to Lexington Ave."

Diana used her cutlass- the shield was broken long ago- to stop an alien from sneaking up on them. More appeared and Haley used her own sword,"I'll take Lexington"Haley stated.

Diana nodded,"An I'll take 53rd. In faster anyway."

Lana flew down with Hati,"Look out!"

All three turned to see a Space Worm heading their way! Diana gulped,"Well crap!"

The Beast roared and swooped down at them. Hati snarled and rose into the air, Lana on his back,"Shoot it in the eye! Get it's brain!"

Lana formed a bolt of green magic as the Alien soldiers started jumping off of the Worm to attack her friends on the ground, she and Hati got as close as they could before she struck.

The bolt hit home! The worm fell down to the ground with one last cry as it died, crushing most of it's passengers.

Diana, Haley, and Sammy finished off their own attackers,"Alright," Lana said,"You guys should get in position. I'll speak the spell!"

As the three women ran to their streets, they had to fight aliens as they went. Diana roared as she ran one alien through, grabbed his gun and started shooting any alien in sight. Civilians were still on the street and ran away as she caught the aliens attention. Then she was running onto 53rd. Shooting any straggling aliens as she went, she kinda felt like Black Widow. She glanced around no one but her black and silver costumed out butt was here. She kneeled down, stuck her sword into the cement and started murdering a prayer to Odin.

Haley headed the opposite direction. She her used her sword like another limb. As she did acrobatic flips and jumps the aliens didn't stand a chance. She grabbed hold of a street lamp and spun around it, kicking an alien in the throat and then stabbing it in the stomach. She kept running and fighting as she made her way to Lexington. She noticed that all civilians had gotten out of her area at least, she pulled out her sword, dug it into the dirt closest to her and kneeled in front of it. She clasped her hands together and started to pray.

Sammy leapt over a car as she sped through the city. Even if her street was the closest to get to there was no way she'd get there unchallenged! Aliens jumped down in front of her. They opened fired! Sammy had a limited time to dodge, one shot clipping her shoulder. Sammy roared in pain and slashed at them with her Scythe. She got one, her blade getting it all the way down the chest and it fell to the ground bleeding out. Sammy spun on her heel and got the other one. Then ran on, ordering all civilians to high-tail it. She jumped onto a car roof,"Attention! The Guardians are about to create a shield that will keep the Aliens from leaving Manhattan. This will not stop YOU from leaving and it will not stop anything from entering. So when you see it. DO NOT PANIC."

Luckily Lana was there and was able to use her magic to broadcast it over the city...

Sammy dug her Scythe blade into the cement and started muttering a prayer.

Lana and Hati flew over the city fighting aliens as they went. She heard all three of her friends prayers and started to speak her spell,"All-Father grant me this wish. Three Guardians have planted their weapons. Allow them to become the walls for our enemies to never overcome!"

All three of the weapons in the ground started to glow green. Then three separate beams of light shot up from them. Sammy, Haley and Diana kept on praying but their faces turned triumphant as the three green walls shot up connecting the three pillars of light. The walls rose up and even passed the space were the portal was.

The aliens at first were confused as they watched one chariot -following civilians- crash into the walls. They couldn't even get to the three guardians behind the pullers because they were standing on the outside.

Lana gave a triumphant cheer as she passed Hawkeye,"Okay who did the laser light show," Stark commed.

"I did," Lana smiled,"Well. Diana, Sammy, Haley and I did. It'll only stop the aliens from leaving. Anyone else can leave and get in if needed."

Tasha spoke next,"Has anyone heard Nicole?"

Sköll barked at Hawk-eye,"On your left," Hawkeye shot on arrow at an Alien and hit it in the eye. Sköll growled,"Runnin outta arrows kid."

Hawk-eye shot him a look,"Really? kid?"

"Would you prefer Bird-Brain?"

"I could shoot you in the ass right now."

Sköll barked in amusement,"But then who would defend you when your getting sneaked up on from behind?"

"What?!" Hawk-eye turned but Sköll was already there, tearing into an Alieans throat. Skill returned smugly to his corner and Hawk-eye muttered,"Okay. You win. This time..."
