Chapter 39: bonds and good deeds
Josh:
A few years had passed and I was still working with Bill and his team on the pokemon storage, fixing problems across various regions. Wherever my help was needed, and when I happen to be in the region at the time, with any faulty problems with computer programming, I'd be there to assist in the immediate repairs. By this point I had captured a decent number of pokemon and had caught a decent portion of what my team would be in the future, excluding the shiny Gyarados. Some of my pokemon had already evolved, like Chansey into Blissey and Dratini into Dragonair. The bond between my pokemon and me just seems to be getting stronger and stronger with each passing day, it would be expected as we travel together.
In most regions I had travelled to, I became regarded as a great trainer for having win most, if not all, of my battles and continued to aid in the repairs of various machines. I even was kept up to date with how things are to be repaired via the conferences with Bill back in the Kanto region, or which ever region he and his team happen to be in at the time. Some of the battles were challenging, but with faith in myself and my pokemon, we were victorious and was even able to defeat the elite four of the different regions and their champion. My biggest challenge was by far Cynthia, she knew battle tactics and had to get me thinking not just on what attacks to use but also where to position myself often to get the better advantage during the match. Seems like I learn best from the experience of battling rather than sitting down and taking it all in from a book. I learnt to listen to what my pokemon are saying through their actions and since the times during battle, and even to a degree outside, we've been thriving where people either didn't expect us to or want.
Some connections I have maintained with the assistance of Bill having regular talks with the various pokemon associations from other regions, but also because when they need a challenge, I'm call on to give that to them. My work as well as dream to keep battling to be the best keeps me more than just a little busy and my team all are more than a little thrilled to keep our adventure going, its one reason I don't change my team. I feel too strongly connected to the team I have to refuse the next adventure with them. Our bonds are one of the most important things that we all keep hold of and with each region we went to, that bond has only grown and the circle of friends has only kept expanding since meeting Bill. Because I don't affiliate with a specific region, I just keep going wherever I desire and keep helping the association where I can. The desire to do good coming from the people I worked with before taking off on my adventures.
We went to the Johto region and learn more about the connections between the pokecentres and the computers for the transference of pokemon. This was about the time where me and Sylveon met for the first time, seemed like he along with the trainer needed help at the time and I wasn't doing much work. This was the time I met Glaceon and my friend Nei, she was working on preventing the threat of Team Rocket, I helped out and we parted ways not too long after we won against them. It felt like the region was in safe hands. I spent time with her and now we keep in contact, talking about literally everything and anything. I talked about the progress of the pokebox system and she told me about her medical experience.
It was about this time when I ran into two small Eevee's, the girl was over the boy and protecting him while he was scared. I thought what would Nei do in this kind of situation and when I sat down and showed I wasn't a threat, they were still cautious but they were comfortable enough for me to present to them food and something for them to eat. They were comfortable around me giving them snacks and when it come to having to leave, neither Eevee wanted to leave me. it was like they both needed someone to depend on and I needed them, I decided to let them both tag along. I may not have known it, but I needed them for company and from here our friendship grew. Later on, the girl Eevee battle and evolved near a moss rock to become a Leafeon, taking on a more protective role. I later found out that she was a big sister to the small boy Eevee. The boy Eevee wanted to evolve and while we were travelling across a region, he evolved into a Jolteon. By this point Leafeon was calmer with me around and the Jolteon become more hyperactive. I bonded with the pokemon and they bonded with me, now it feels strange to travel without someone, pokemon especially, by my side through thick and thin.
Feels like since my interaction with Nei, Glaceon and Sylveon, things have become brighter and meeting new people and pokemon became a lot more fun. Bill and the team helped me work with machines and Nei helped me with people, thanks to them both, I'm a stronger trainer for it and a step closer to becoming the best me I can be. May not be the best trainer or a champion but the best me and that's more important. Making those bonds was by far the best things that could have happened, yet it all started with me and my dream. So many adventures, so many people to contact with, the team who need my work in the different regions and now new friends I can have a great time with. Not to mention Leafeon and Jolteon have friends to play with, even if Jolteon gets too excited while playing.
