Hey y'all! I had this thought going through my head and it wouldn't leave!
Summary: AU! What if Sophia was saved? What if Daryl and Rick knew her saviors? Sucky summary I know but please give it a chance.

Sophia was scared. Mr. Rick had told her to stay where she was and that he would come back for her but she had heard more of those Creepers coming and ran. Now she was lost in the woods and all she wanted was her mommy. She leaned against a tree and tried to breathe. She had been running for what felt like hours and she couldn't breathe. She heard shuffling and turned to her right only to see a Creeper coming straight for her. She froze in fear and it was like she couldn't move. Suddenly an arrow came flying out of nowhere and hit the Creeper in the eye. She whirled around to spot a girl a few years older than her pointing a weapon that looked similar to Mr. Daryl's at the Creeper.
The teen scanned the area before putting down the weapon and approaching Sophia. Looking the young girl over she shot questions at her, "Are you alright? Did it get you? Are you hurt? Are you alone?" She was about to answer when she spotted a teen boy over the girl's shoulder. Her eyes widened in alarm at seeing him. Was he going to hurt them? Seeing the girl's fear, the teen turned and spotted what had scared her. She was quick to reassure, "It's alright. I know him. That's my boyfriend Logan. My name is Angel. What is your name?"
Sophia decided to answer all the questions that had been thrown at her, "S-Sophia. The Creeper didn't hurt me. I'm lost. I got separated from my group. We were on the highway and a herd came through. We hid under some cars but I got out too soon and a couple Creepers saw me. I ran into the woods. Mr. Rick found me and told me to stay put, but another Creeper came by. I got scared and ran. I just want my mommy." The girl burst into tears at the end of her explanation.
Angel was quick to scoop the girl up and try to quiet her, "It's alright. You need to calm down, alright? You can stay with the two of us until we find your mom. Come on we need to move. When we are moving through the woods you need to be quiet as can be." She waited for the girl to nodded before looking over to her boyfriend and giving him a look. He simply nodded and lead the two girls towards their camp. He knew the instant that Angel had seen the girl that she was going to help her, even though the pair were also looking for their own families.
Stopping under a tree Logan looked around to make sure they were alone before moving back a bit of underbrush that was at the base of the tree. Angel gestured for Sophia to follow her, as she got down on her knees and crawled through the underbrush. Sophia followed Angel, not quite knowing where she was going but knew that she was safe with the two of them. Coming out on the other side Sophia was met with the sight of a tent set up. Standing she observed her surroundings as she moved farther in. They were completely hidden from sight, somehow the trees and bushes around them provided cover.
Turning she saw that Angel and Logan were sitting down in front of the tent looking at her. Moving over to the pair she sat down next to Angel. The teen decided to try and get the girl to relax a bit, "How old are you Sophia?" The girl messed with the grass by her feet as she answered, "I'm ten. How about you two?" Angel gave the girl a small smile, "We are both seventeen. Do you have any siblings?" The girl simply shook her head. Angel shrugged, "Neither do I. Logan on the other hand has a younger brother that's your age."
The two girls continued to talk for a bit while Logan watched on. He didn't know how they were going to get the girl back to her group, but he knew that his girlfriend would do everything she could to get the girl back to her family. Family was important to both of them and they knew that it was a scary time for people who were older than the young girl in front of him, he knew they had to find her family and quickly. They were her best chance of survival at the moment. Heaven help the girl.
