For what they did not know, on May 22 the BGTY saga turned two years since the first chapter of the first Season of BGTY. The truth is that this saga became bigger than I expected. Three special stories plus six special/side stories. Honestly, I did not expect the saga to be so successful and I owe it all to you, dear readers.

This special will be something very different. Through this publication I would like to share my experience with this saga. And not only that, I will talk about many topics such as the creation of arcs, seasons, we will talk a lot about the original BG characters and also the OCs, sharing additional material. Keep in mind that this type of "blog" is aimed at the closest readers/fans of the BGTY saga. So I don't think everyone likes it. But it's something I've wanted to do for a long time. We will do special things like extra BGTY data and even interviews (if you want to know what it is about, leave your reviews or write me a private message)

What is the first thing we see when we hear of a fanfic called: Bubble Guppies Teen Years? Most think it's just a common fanfiction of characters from a preschool show turned into teenagers, living in teenage situations. And the truth is that that was the first intention. However, as the story progresses, try to come up with interesting themes, different developments, and the occasional interesting plot twist. But why did a fanfic that started as an experiment become so popular within this small place? Well, I don't want to be arrogant with this, because the real success was achieved thanks to the support of all of you. I just want to express some things that I think made this saga great.

Who is the author?

I guess it's only fair that you know a little bit about the person who worked behind all this. I had never revealed things about myself before. So here we go.

My real name is Anthony (I will only reveal my first name) and as some may know, I am not a native English speaker. In fact, I am from a small country in Central America called Costa Rica, the country of "Pura Vida". Right now I am looking for a college degree. But I started making fanfics when I was 16 years old. My birthday is November 23. I first started with Gravity Falls fanfics in Spanish. But then I took a break for about 6 months and came back with BGTY, my first full English story. I must admit that I usually use a translator, that's why sometimes there are some mistakes in the stories. But thanks to that, I have learned a lot to write, understand and read in English.

And I know what everyone wants to know... What motivated me to write about the Bubble Guppies, a show for younger children? Well, we will answer about that in the next point.

How was BGTY born?

Alright, at this point it's a long story. Before explaining how BGTY was born, it is necessary to know why I liked Bubble Guppies? Before I became a writer, I was just a reader. I started reading fanfics when I was 12-13 years old. The first fanfics I read were from fandoms like Phineas and Ferb, The Lion King, The Fairly OddParents, Kingdom Hearts, Gravity Falls, Star Wars, and of course, Bubble Guppies. I read very good fanfics of this last one. Bubble Guppies was a series that I liked a lot since I was a child. I found the characters very likeable, the situations were hilarious and funny. Personally, Bubble Guppies' forte was the main characters themselves. And actually, that's why I liked fanfics. I read a lot in the "golden age" of BG fanfics (like in the years 2012-2015). When the great authors of that time did not write again, well, I got discouraged and moved to other fandoms.

Time passed and I started writing about Gravity Falls. I had very good results, but then... I started to lose interest. I no longer enjoyed it and retired from fanfiction for about 6 months. Then came the dreaded COVID-19, where it literally quarantined the entire world. When the quarantine arrived in my country (like March 2020), I had a lot of free time and decided to read some fanfics about fandoms that I once liked. And at that time, I was curious to read BG fanfics again. I was surprised to see some very interesting ones, but unfortunately, many had a similar idea: They were all about the Guppies in their teenage years with various situations, but they were never finished and that discouraged me. It was when one day I said to myself: Hey...what if I make a fanfic like that but give it an ending so that we can all enjoy it? Obviously, there weren't that many readers of this fandom (before Season 5 arrived or it was just starting, I don't remember well)

I was tired of seeing good fanfics that don't have an ending. So I wanted to make my own version. That's how I started writing the first Season of BGTY. Which had a decent result. On certain chapters, I had help from an old writer friend. I must admit that this help served me well. However, we had certain conflicts that made him decide to withdraw. That discouraged me a lot, in fact, it was so discouraged that I thought that BGTY would only have one season. However, a new companion appeared, and her name is mermaidf (many of you know her). She started leaving me reviews and then wanted to contact me. We have spoken both by private message on Fanfiction and on the BG wiki. At first I thought she was just a loyal reader who loved my work. But she went further. She decided to give me ideas for plots, characters and other. And so a Second Season of BGTY was born. What I didn't expect is that from the middle of the second season, the views and reviews numbers of BGTY Season 1 and 2 rose to an unexpected level. Many of you began to support the work we have done together. mermaidf helped me with certain ideas while I was the author and writer of everything. The success of the Second Season made me do a Third Season. Which became the best of all seasons for most.

Thanks to the support of all of you, the BGTY saga became so successful. With three main seasons and 6 special/side stories. In fact, we will talk about the development of the main stories
