Mr Gold arrived in front of the seaside mansion and looked up at it. He took out the small metallic cube that was the TARDIS and placed it on the top step that led to the front door. He took a step back, and he looked at it. Now to tell them that it's safe to come out, he thought to himself. He raised a hand, and beams of magic light shot out of his fingers and were absorbed into the metal cube.
Then, the cube rose and hovered over the steps. A faint blue light shimmered over the metal surface before flying across the mansion grounds. Mr Gold watched as the cube began making the familiar sound of wheezing and groaning, and the cube grew bigger and bigger until the familiar shape of the TARDIS appeared before landing in front of Mr Gold. He smiled and began to approach the doors, and Belle was the first one out – followed by the Doctor, the Professor, Clara and Clara's family.
Belle hugged Mr Gold tightly. She was glad to see him again. "I take it Storybrooke is safe?" she asked.
"Indeed it is. Thanks to Ms Swan and Elsa," Mr Gold answered.
"See?" the Doctor said, pointing to Mr Gold. "I told you he'd protect us."
"Indeed I did, Doctor. It's like a new day here."
"And it's snowing," Clara's gran pointed out, as she pointed to the snowflakes with a grin.
The Professor took out his sonic screwdriver and scanned the snowflakes falling to the ground. "No. It's not proper snow. It's…"
"… The curse breaking up around us," the Doctor finished.
Mr Gold turned to Belle and placed his hands on her waist. "And as it turns out, I have an even bigger surprise for you," he told her, watching as she tilted her head slightly. "I think it's about time we had a proper honeymoon," he added. "It's time for you to see the world. So when we get back home, pack a suitcase."
Belle's smile brightened before she leaned up and kissed him. Finally, after everything they'd been through since they'd met, they were owed this. Just time to be newlyweds in a place where magic wasn't a concern, or they weren't needed to help with the latest crisis. She couldn't think of a better way for them to start married life properly.
