Lucy was still taking in her surroundings. She couldn't believe that the Alamo was only three days away! The amount of farmers and civilians littering the fort was astounding. She knew there had been a lot of people involved but not this many and it was quite different to see it in person. She had left Rufus to listen to more stories being told by David Crockett. It was amazing to see Crockett in person but there was so much to do to try and stop Flynn.
"So where do we start? Obviously Rufus isn't joining us." Wyatt scoffed at Rufus admiring Crockett.
"We need to make sure Flynn isn't here. Now Bowie knows we're looking for him, it shouldn't take too long." Lucy got her mind back in the game.
"Good. I'll have a look around, see what I can do to help everyone." Wyatt looked around.
"Just don't change history. I know this is important to you but…" Lucy changed tact suddenly.
"Don't worry about me. What are you going to do?" Wyatt asked.
"I'm going to find Travis. I need to make sure the message gets through. Flynn might go after him and I can't risk that." Lucy sounded more worried.
"Travis?"
"Don't worry about that now." Lucy shouted as she ran off.
Wyatt wanted to ask more but knew there was work to do so quickly got about it. He would have to get Rufus to do some things he couldn't but didn't want to bother him right now. Crockett must run out of stories soon!

Rufus was intrigued about Crockett. Lucy had told him and Wyatt that he later died at Alamo so he couldn't let this offer up. The rest of the army broke away after a few stories. They had obviously heard all of these before. Rufus stayed though.
"So kid, what brings you here?" Crockett noticed Rufus still watching him.
"I came to fight. I hoped it might mean something." Rufus tried to think of something.
Crockett looked down at the floor and smiled. Rufus was holding back telling Crockett what would happen in the next few days.
"You think we have a chance then?" Crockett asked.
"Yes. I think we do." Rufus nodded, sounding proud.
"You have no idea what we're up against then. Have you seen all of the men out there?!" Crockett even sounded disheartened.
"I have and I think we might have a chance." Rufus kept saying more to himself than anyone.
Before Crockett could ask Rufus about it anymore, Wyatt walked over to them.
"Rufus, I need your help. Come on." Wyatt pulled Rufus away before he made it even worse.
Rufus nodded and went along with Wyatt. Crockett stared after them and was soon joined by Bowie. They looked at each other and then back at Wyatt and Rufus.
"There's something about those three. Maybe we should keep an eye on them." Bowie suggested.

Colonel Travis sat in his quarters, staring at the blank piece of paper in front of him. Knowing that his men wouldn't be able to hold off the Mexicans for long, he really needed this message out there. Huston would be able to get it if he could get through the enemy lines. He just had to think about what to write. He put his head in his hands still thinking as he heard footsteps coming into the room.

Lucy had looked everywhere above ground for Travis. She then noticed an opening in one of the buildings. She then saw a shadow going into it and rushed into action.
000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
"Colonel Travis?" A voice came from the door.
Travis looked up to see a bedraggled man standing in front of him.
"Didn't mean to startle you sir." The man apologised, his accent certinaley made him stand out.
"Who the hell are you?" Travis asked, becoming more and more suspicious of the man.
"The name's Flynn."
"What are you doing in my office?" Travis asked, leaning back in his chair.

Lucy stopped as soon as she heard Flynn's voice. The other man who was talking must be Travis. She kept listening in case Travis might need her help.
"I am an admirer of yours. You see, I'm here for the same reason as you. I'm a patriot." Flynn continued to say which made Lucy's hair stand on end.
Lucy had heard Flynn say that sentence too many times! She just hoped Travis would see past this and see who he really was. Bowie must have told him about Flynn.
"People call you a fanatic but what you really are is a revolutionary. Fighting for freedom against a corrupt power."
000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
All the time Flynn was talking in front of him, Travis kept an eye on his gun. He would use it if he had to. By the looks of it, he was going to.
"That is a lonely road. I understand that." Flynn finally finished.
Before Flynn could say anything else, Travis pulled his gun and pointed it straight at Flynn. Flynn didn't even flinch! By the ways he had been talking though, Travis wasn't very surprised.
"I'm not that alone. I have men who told me to look out for a tall son of a bitch with a funny accent." Travis warned Flynn.
Lucy heard all of this going on. She knew even a gun wouldn't stop Flynn. She had to do something before Flynn laid his hands on Travis.
"Apparently he's dangerous." She heard Travis say before a gun misfired.
There was silence. Lucy couldn't hold back anymore and came out of her hiding place. Flynn was the first to notice her. Travis looked over to her with some sort of worry on his face. For all he knew she might be on the same side as Flynn!
"Well, well, well, I was wondering when you would pop up. Didn't think it would take you this long!" Flynn tutted, folding his arms in disappointment.
"I live to please." Lucy smirked, feeling a little bit more brave against Flynn.
"So, here to save history again are we? Well good luck!" Flynn pulled his gun and pointed it at Travis.
Lucy took a step forward to try and stop Flynn. She saw the piece of paper on the desk and could only guess what it was. Travis wasn't shaking at least. He just stared the gun down and waited for something to happen.
"Flynn please." Lucy sounded almost like she was begging.
"You know what happens. How much would change if I do this?" Flynn asked, almost sounding pleased.
"What on earth are you talking about?!" Travis spoke out.
"Be quiet!" Flynn shouted.
"Colonel sir, I don't know what he's talking about. No one can predict the future." Lucy tried to keep up her historical character.
"Don't take his side!" Flynn warned Lucy again.
"What do you mean how much would you change? What would you change? What's going on?" Travis didn't keep quiet.
000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
Rufus and Wyatt were looking around the camp trying to find anything they could do to help. They couldn't change history but they could still help the men fight off the Mexicans for a bit longer. With Lucy trying to find Flynn, they were sure it wouldn't be long before they could go home. Wyatt wasn't too keen to stay for the battle.
"I just hope we're out of here in time. I might be fired but I still don't want to die here." Wyatt pulled at his collar thinking about it.
"I'm still getting over the fact you were fired! I don't know what they're thinking." Rufus tried to make light of the situation.
"Oh well. One last mission won't go amiss." Wyatt smiled.
A sudden gunshot then rang out through the fort. Everyone ducked and jumped out of their skins! A shadow was then seen running out of Travis's office.
"Flynn!" Wyatt rushed after him.
Rufus was soon to follow Wyatt as they ran after the shadow. Bowie and Crockett put the men to work to get their minds off of what had just happened but were still worried and wanted to know what was going on.
000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
Lucy stayed frozen to her spot. The gun had gone off just as Flynn had warned her and Travis one more time. Travis had rushed for the gun and then Flynn had let it go off. Now Travis lay in front of her, just about breathing and wanting her help but she couldn't move!
"Ma'am… Please…." Travis gulped as he got words out.
Lucy thought back to what Wyatt had told her on their last mission. She closed her eyes and gathered her thoughts together. She then rushed to Travis' side to try and help.
