Disclaimer: You know the drill by now.
Lila groaned as she slowly opened her eyes. Whatever they had stuck in her on the plane, it left her feeling incredibly sensitive to light. Not a good sign.
Then again, sticking a needle into her arm was never a good sign. Nor was the fact that she was chained to a wooden post in the middle of apparently nowhere. That was very worrying actually.
"Ah, good, you are awake," a cold, familiar voice said. A cold, familiar voice that she hadn't heard for some time. Months at least. And the voice of someone who had genuinely intimidated her away from her beloved Adrien. (Who was rightfully Lila's, but that bitch Marinette had stolen away!)
She looked up to see Kagami looking at her with a sword in her hands. She swung the sword downwards and Lila screamed in terror.
The resulting cut was shallow. Enough to be more than a graze, but definitely nothing lethal. She could see that it would definitely leave a scar on her shoulder, but as she had expected it to be a lot worse...well even the pain and the blood dripping from the wound was an improvement. Lila let out a laugh of relief. She didn't even notice that she had wet herself in fear.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you," she said as tears of joy ran down her cheeks. Kagami looked at her with a puzzled expression.
"What for?" she asked and Lila gave her a charming smile.
"Thank you for not killing me!" she said, still smiling and Kagami frowned. Lila, however, did not seem to notice the look on Kagami's face. "So what do you want? I will do anything, anything at all." She paused for a moment. "Do you want to get Adrien back? Or maybe the person who paid for my bail will-"
"I paid for your bail," Kagami said coldly and Lila's eyes widened. "The Agreste and the Bourgeois family would be too obvious to anyone investigating your disappearance." She paused and Lila swallowed nervously. Disappearance wasn't necessarily a bad thing, right? After all, Lila's lawyer had told her that she was facing serious criminal charges for her actions. (And it wasn't like she had done anything WRONG. Adrien was destined to be hers and that Marinette was a nobody who deserved to be crushed for always getting in her way.) "The Tsurugi family however are simply business partners. Nothing to connect us. Chloé Bourgeois was able to arrange for your trial to be delayed and your emergency flight was only approved because of her." She paused and gave Lila a chilling smile. "Gabriel was able to have you smuggled here with an emergency shipment."
"But...why?" Lila asked and Kagami swung her sword once more, this time leaving a line across her face.
"You were a threat to my two oldest and closest friends," Kagami said, an edge of anger entering her voice. "Adrien was the first friend that I ever made and Marinette was the second." She paused and glared at Lila. "You have threatened and hurt them both. You nearly killed Marinette and if allowed to go free, you would try to kill her again. And what you attempted to do to Adrien is unforgivable. For those crimes alone, you deserve to die."
"But...you haven't killed me…" Lila said and Kagami glared once more. Lila recoiled slightly.
"You do not deserve a quick death from my sword. For criminals, my family has traditionally executed those without honour with Lingchi." Lila looked puzzled. "The death of a thousand cuts. Traditionally a Chinese form of execution, my family has adopted the practice for those who deserve it."
"You don't have to kill me!" Lila begged desperately after Kagami sliced open a part of Lila's upper leg. "I'll disappear! I'll vanish! Nobody will ever know that I even exist! I'll use a false name! I'll bleach my hair! I'll-"
She suddenly let out a shriek as Kagami swung her sword across Lila's face. Blood dripped down her face and she could taste the blood on her lips. Even if she could somehow escape this psycho alive (The irony was lost on Lila.), her face would be ruined.
"You bitch!" she screamed and Kagami just shook her head.
"Perhaps," she said, a slight smile playing on her lips. "But I am also the one whom fate has chosen to inflict justice upon your head. She swung her sword again, leaving a cut on Lila's stomach. A small pool of blood was starting to form at Lila's feet and her clothes were becoming unrecognisable..
"Bitch! Psycho! You're just jealous because you never had a chance with Adri-"
Lila let out a scream of pain as Kagami sliced through her bra to slice her left breast in two.
"You are right," Kagami said calmly. "I never really did stand a chance with Adrien. He was always in love with Marinette. That does not mean that I am not happy for them." She sliced Lila's right breast in two. "And I will protect my friends." She sliced Lila's stomach once more. "From someone like you."
"I DESERVED ADRIEN! NOT HER!" Lila screamed and Kagami sliced Lila's face again with her sword, leaving a cross shaped on her face.
"Adrien does not deserve someone like you," Kagami said coldly as she swung her sword once more, leaving another cut across her stomach. "And if you were to go to trial, you would attempt to use your charisma and lies to attempt to hurt them." She smiled coldly. "Ironically, your very charisma and lies have led you here. Had you been a little less obsessive, a little less dangerous, you might have simply gone to prison. Instead...well this has become an unfortunate necessity."
"You don't have to do this," Lila begged, changing her tone once more. If she could get out of this, there was always plastic surgery, right? "Nobody will recognise me now anyway." She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to focus through the pain. It was a wonder she hadn't passed out really. She wondered if it would have been better if she did.
"Nobody will recognise you," Kagami said calmly, apparently appraising Lila and Lila nodded.
"Yes, yes, that's right. It would be a far greater punishment leaving me like this," she said. "And I won't tell anyone-"
"You won't tell anyone," Kagami agreed and Lila felt a slight bit of hope. She always had a silver tongue. Now she just needed to make the final connection.
"You won't be alive to tell anyone," Kagami finished, swinging her sword upwards to split Lila's jaw in two. "I am satisfied with this being your payment and left alive you would scheme against Marinette and Adrien and I will not risk that." She gave Lila a cold look. "My friends matter too much to me to allow that possibility."
Lila tried to scream, but only a garbled sound came out of her badly damaged mouth.
"We have nothing more to discuss," Kagami said coldly. "You have been drugged to prevent you from losing consciousness. I do not require commentary or negotiation, only your presence and my sword and I have them both."
Lila tried to speak through her damaged mouth once more as Kagami slashed open her arm. She was unsuccessful, her mouth making all kinds of weird noises.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Kagami cut the bonds holding Lila to the post. Through the haze of pain, she felt a twinge of hope. Did the crazy swords girl have a change of heart? She felt Kagami pick her up and carry her and she hoped that it was for some kind of medical treatment. She needed it badly after all. Lila's blood seeped onto Kagami's clothes, making them even bloodier than they already were.
"I will grant you mercy," Kagami said and Lila tried to sigh with relief. With a single motion, Kagami threw Lila into the sea, turning Lila's many cuts into a fiery, burning pain.
She never even saw the sharks circling.
AN: This ties in a lot of my headcanons for this story. The idea that Gabriel and Chloé Bourgeois not leaving any suspicious money trails behind for anyone investigating etc. Also, Kagami isn't a psychopath. She just believes that the person passing a death sentence should be the one to execute it. Lila is also the only one to actually justify going outside the justice system.
