Rufus and Lucy looked over at Wyatt. He had been silent since they lost Kate and had their first encounter with Flynn. Not to mention seeing the Hindenburg go up in flames right in front of them! It may have been a day out but it had gone down and they had stopped Flynn from killing some of the most famous people in history.
"So are we not going to talk about what just happened?" Rufus finally said something.
"What do you mean?" Lucy sounded tired as she responded.
"I mean that we just saved history! I mean yes we caused the Hindenburg to still happen but we stopped Flynn."
"I suppose so." Lucy smiled.
"What did he say to you? You know when he approached you out there." Rufus pointed out of the door of the Lifeboat.
"He said that I had told him to do this and showed me this diary and said it was mine." Lucy said still very confused as to what had happened.
"Was it yours?"
"No! I haven't kept a diary in years and I think I would remember going through all the things he had shown me!" Lucy smirked.
A grunt came from Wyatt. Lucy snapped her head around to see what his problem was. Rufus went back to getting the lifeboat ready to leave. He didn't want to get involved in whatever argument was going to happen between the two of them.
"What is the matter with you?! You've been quiet since we left the site." Lucy asked Wyatt.
"Nothing." Wyatt muttered.
"It's obviously not nothing." Lucy wouldn't give up without finding out what was wrong.
"Doesn't it bother you?" Wyatt finally spoke a bit louder but still kind of gruff.
Lucy shrugged, not seeing where Wyatt was coming from. They had just saved history and he was still finding things wrong with that!
"Kate was just killed right in front of us and we could have saved her." Wyatt sighed letting his true feelings show.
"She died in history in the first place, Wyatt." Lucy huffed not seeing his point of view.
"But Flynn killed her." Rufus sort of saw Wyatt's point.
"If she had run back into that fire like she was going to, then she would have died anyway."
"You're saying that she was going to die whatever we did then?" Wyatt saw straight through Lucy.
"Well yeah I suppose."
Wyatt shook his head and turned his back on Lucy. Lucy turned to Rufus for some support. Rufus could see both points. It wasn't nice to see people die especially if you had a chance to save them but if she had died in their timeline anyway was there much difference?
"Let's just go home." Rufus decided.
Lucy and Wyatt both got their seatbelts done and then got ready for going back to their future.

Wyatt quickly got out of the Lifeboat when they landed. Lucy and Rufus stared after him. Agent Christopher came up to them as soon as they got out. They weren't exactly in the mood for questioning but it didn't look like Christopher was going to let them get away without a few questions being asked.
"What's wrong with Wyatt?" Christopher whispered pointing her head back in the direction Wyatt had gone.
"We tried to save someone and Flynn killed her. We couldn't do anything and Wyatt kind of took it to heart." Lucy told Christopher rubbing her arm, trying to get over the motion sickness.
"You saw Flynn?!" Christopher sounded shocked when she asked this.
"Saw him?! Lucy had him breathing down her neck and offered this diary thing." Rufus hissed thinking back to seeing Flynn's shadow against the fire.
"You spoke to him?" Christopher turned her attention back to Lucy.
"Yeah. Not for long but long enough for him to tell me a few things and warn me about you." Lucy sounded confused even as she said it.
Christopher was then interrupted by the agents trying to get at the lifeboat.
"Come on. We'll talk upstairs." Christopher guided them away from the hustle and bustle.
Lucy hung back a bit but was guided by Rufus to follow Christopher. Lucy was very worried about Wyatt and what he might do after their first mission. For now though she was just glad she got back in one piece!

Jiya passed around cups of coffee as they got settled into the seats upstairs. She wanted to sit and listen but Christopher advised against it. Jiya sighed and got back to work on the lifeboat. Christopher closed the blinds on the windows leading down to the ground floor. She didn't want to be disturbed.
"So what did Flynn say? He warned you against us?" Christopher asked Lucy again.
"He said to ask you some questions and ask you about Rittenhouse." Lucy said, making Christopher shudder a little.
"You know Rittenhouse?" Rufus picked up on Christopher's reaction.
"Doesn't matter now. What about this diary?"
"He said I wrote it. He said that we would work together one day. I didn't believe him." Lucy shrugged.
"Can you tell what he was trying to do? I mean how did he change history exactly?"
"In our timeline Hindenburg happened the day before. A lot of people were killed and I guess Flynn wanted to change that." Rufus spoke, seeing Lucy flustered.
"I think Flynn was after the people who were in the Hindenburg the day it happened in this timeline." Lucy added to Rufus' account.
Christopher leaned forward looking a bit more interested when Lucy mentioned this. The door then opened and Wyatt came in. He was changed back into his ordinary clothes but still looked angry and tired as he did when he was in the 1920's clothes.
"Thank you for joining us." Christopher nodded as Wyatt sat down.
"An agent said you wanted to see me. Something about a debrief." Wyatt had chosen the furthest away seat.
"Yes I was getting to that. You're all dismissed for the time being. We'll call you when you're needed again." Christopher stood up from her chair and gathered her papers.
"Wait, that's it?!" Lucy was shocked at how quickly that had ended.
"Until we need you again, yes." Christopher then left, leaving the team a bit deflated.
Wyatt licked his lips and then got up again. He obviously wanted to leave so Rufus stopped him before he did.
"Let me go." Wyatt said gently.
"Wyatt, we need to talk about this. What we just went through is not normal and we're the only ones who can talk about it." Lucy said just as gently.
Wyatt looked at Lucy and then back at Rufus. If they were going to be working together then they might as well discuss things like this. He sat next to Lucy but still didn't look at her.
"I don't know how they can just let us go like that." Rufus smirked, sitting on the edge of the table.
"We stopped Flynn. That's all that matters to them." Wyatt worked out.
"And that we didn't change history too much. I mean she didn't seem interested when we said the day had changed." Lucy mentioned.
"She did when we mentioned the people aboard." Rufus suddenly thought.
"She shuddered when I mentioned Rittenhouse."
"What is this Rittenhouse anyway?" Wyatt scoffed.
"I don't know but Flynn said it was important and that I should mention it to Christopher for some reason." Lucy told him.
Wyatt looked up and saw a figure outside the door. It wasn't Christopher but was one of the other agents waiting for them.
"We'd better go." Wyatt whispered, nodding his head to the door.
They agreed and left together. As long as history hadn't changed too much it didn't seem to matter.
