AN: So, I decided to make a new Unikitty fanfic. This story would involve time travel, so this story would take place during the events of my first shipping fanfic, Forbidden Love. I hope you enjoy my new story!
Chapter 1
Dr. Fox's Latest Invention
The sun rose over Unikitty's castle and Unikitty and her friends woke up to enjoy their morning. One by one, everyone got out of their beds, but Shy was the last one to wake up. Not wanting her girlfriend to miss out on this wonderful day, Kittycorn ran over to Shy's room to wake her up.
As Kittycorn was rushing over to greet her girlfriend, Shy was sleeping in her bed with her arms wrapped around her stuffed teddy bear, Teddy. Once the sunlight woke her up, Shy yawned and stretched before taking a look at Teddy.
"Good morning, Teddy!" Shy spoke to her teddy bear before giving it a hug.
Soon, Shy heard the sound of Kittycorn's voice from the other side of her door.
"Shy! Wake up, sleepyhead! Richard just made breakfast for us!"
Shy smiled upon hearing the cheerful tone of her girlfriend. Listening to her voice always put a grin on her face.
"I'm coming, Kittycorn!" Shy called out.
Shy soon placed Teddy in the center of her bed before getting changed into her doom lord cloak. After getting dressed, Shy walked out of the room to greet Kittycorn.
"Good morning, Kittycorn!" Shy waved to Kittycorn.
"Good morning, Shy! Let's hurry up and eat our breakfast! Dr. Fox said that she just made an invention that she really wants to show us!" Kittycorn explained as she walked with Shy to the kitchen.
"Wow! I wonder what kind of invention Dr. Fox came up with this time!" Shy wondered.
"Who knows? Not even Hawkodile knows what it is, so this is going to be pretty exciting!"
It was at that moment when Kittycorn and Shy made it to the kitchen and sat down at the table.
Kittycorn sat down next to her adoptive parents before she said, "Hi, Mom! Hi, Dad! Is Dr. Fox going to reveal her new invention pretty soon?"
"We are sure that Dr. Fox is going to show us her invention soon, Kittycorn!" Unikitty giggled as she was amused by how excited her adopted daughter was.
"For now, let's eat out breakfast! I'm starving!" Puppycorn said before eating his food.
After everyone ate their breakfast, Dr. Fox stepped into the kitchen and cleared her throat to get everyone's attention.
"Good morning, everyone! I have just finished my latest invention!" Dr. Fox announced. "I'm sure that you are all wondering what I have been spending all of my time on making!"
"I know that I am!" Hawkodile spoke up. "You wouldn't even tell me what it is, and I'm your husband."
"Whatever it is, I hope it is not going to be something that would end up blowing up the entire castle." Richard spoke in his usual deadpanned voice.
Dr. Fox shook her head. "Relax, Richard! I can assure you that my invention is perfectly safe!"
"Ooh! This is really exciting!" Kittycorn exclaimed. "What did you make, Dr. Fox?"
"Just follow me down to the lab and I'll show you!"
It was at that moment when Unikitty and her friends got up from their seats and followed Dr. Fox down to the lab. As they got closer to the lab, they silently wondered what kind of crazy invention Dr. Fox created this time.
The door to the lab opened, revealing a mysterious machine that was covered by a sheet. As they approached the mysterious invention, Dr. Fox asked Hawkodile to keep watch of their son, Foxodile just in case. This worried Richard as he could only imagine what kind of device Dr. Fox created. Unikitty, Puppycorn, Kittycorn, and Shy were the first ones to approach the sheet as they gazed at it in curiosity.
"Wow! This looks like the biggest invention you have ever created, Dr. Fox!" Shy commented.
"Thank you, Shy! This is an invention I am especially proud of!" Dr. Fox smiled before taking off the sheet, revealing her invention. "Behold, the time machine!"
"Wow!" Everyone gazed at the time machine in awe.
The time machine was a lot bigger than Dr. Fox's usual invention. It had a circular design, similar to a clock and had a portal in the center.
"You really outdid yourself this time, Dr. Fox!" Unikitty complimented. "This has to be your most impressive invention ever!"
"Aw! Thanks, Unikitty!" Dr. Fox smiled. "I still need to run a few more tests before it can work properly. Once it is ready, we can go to any point in time!"
Richard didn't like the sound of that. "That sounds very dangerous, Dr. Fox. It sounds like we can easily change the timeline if we use that machine."
"Only if we are not careful! We'd better keep this invention a secret from everyone else though. Who knows who would want to use this machine to change the past."
As everyone was staring at the time machine, they were too distracted to notice that someone was watching them. The doom lord, Master Papercuts sneaked into the lab and listened in on the whole conversation. Knowing that this information would be useful to the rest of the doom lords, Master Papercuts sneaked out of the lab and made his return to Frown Town.
Once he made it back to the depressing streets of Frown Town, Master Papercuts entered the doom lords lair where he approached Master Doom.
"Well, did you find anything out?" Master Doom asked impatiently.
"Um, yes. The science fox just invented a time machine." Master Papercuts explained.
"A time machine?" Master Hazard repeated. "Sounds like an interesting way for us to cause trouble for the Unikingdom!"
Master Doom stayed silent for a few moments and a sinister grin formed across her face as she thought of a plan.
"Doom lords, I have just thought of a way for us to take over the Unikingdom once and for all! If we use that time machine and go back in time, we can undo all of our defeats caused by Unikitty and her friends! With time on our side, the doom lords can finally take over!" Master Doom stood up from her seat. "Now to head over to the Unikingdom and change the past!"
The evil laughter of the doom lords echoed throughout the lair. They were determined to take over the kingdom and they did not plan to fail this time.
Meanwhile at the Unikingom, Unikitty and her friends continued to admire the time machine as Dr. Fox did the finishing touches on her machine.
"So, would we be able to go back in time once you finish the machine?" Puppycorn asked.
"Theoretically, yes! However, messing with time is no joke. The time machine could be dangerous in the wrong hands." Dr. Fox explained.
"Which is why it is perfect for me!" came an unexpected voice from the entrance of the lab.
Everyone turned around and were shocked to find out that the doom lords sneaked into the lab.
"The doom lords?" Unikitty gasped in shock before she glared at Master Doom. "What are you doing here, Master Doom?"
Master Doom gave a sinister grin before stepping forward. "Ah, Queen Unikitty! It has been so long! The doom lords and I have decided that we are finally going to take over your kingdom. With that time machine, we are going to change the past to the point where the doom lords would rule over all!"
"You can't do that!" Dr. Fox yelled. "The time machine isn't stable! There is no telling what would happen if it was used!"
"I don't care! It is time for a new age for the kingdom!"
As Master Doom said that, the doom lords charged forward to take control of the time machine. Normally, Hawkodile would fight back, but he couldn't do anything while watching over Foxodile.
The doom lords rushed over to the controls and began to press random buttons until a portal activated in the middle of the time machine. Once the machine activate, Master Doom stepped forward to take a closer look, only for her to get pulled towards the portal.
Before they knew it, the doom lords felt themselves getting dragged forward before getting sucked into the portal one by one. Shy suddenly let out a gasp as she felt herself getting dragged towards the portal as well.
"Shy!" Kittycorn gasped before reaching out and grabbing her girlfriend's hand.
Kittycorn held Shy's hand as tightly as she could, but she felt her paws dragging across the floor as she was pulled closer to the portal.
"Kittycorn!" Unikitty and Puppycorn reached out for their adopted daughter, but it was too late as Kittycorn and Shy were dragged into the portal before the machine turned off.
This left Unikitty and her friends in silence as they tried to process what they just witnessed.
"Oh no. This is not good." said Dr. Fox.
Meanwhile, Kittycorn and Shy were lying down, unconscious on the grass. They slowly opened up their eyes before Kittycorn got up from the ground.
"Are you okay, Shy?" Kittycorn asked before offering her paw to help Shy back up.
"I'm fine, Kittycorn! Thank you!" Shy smiled, gratefully accepting Kittycorn's paw. "Where are we, anyway?"
Kittycorn looked around and noticed that they were still in the Unikingdom. However, something didn't seem right. There were a bunch of buildings in the kingdom that Kittycorn knew weren't there last time and there were a lot of citizens that she recognized, except they looked younger than before. That was when Kittycorn realized what happened.
"Shy, I think we are in the past!"
