This is simple passion project to show my own personal love for the Ereani community. A story set in a modern setting and also my first attempt at anything like this. To be completely honest instead of waiting around for other fanfictions contain Eren and Annie, I started my own. I plan to make this a long one and other relationships as they come naturally. I would love any feedback and recommendations as like i mentioned this is my first. So enjoy and my main hope is to get more love behind this ship.

Her phone finally let loose the same monotonous chime she has had for the last three years. She reached for the device to finally silence it while deactivating the six alarms she had cautiously set just in case her body had decided to sleep in on her first day.

Annie Leonhart lifted herself out of bed to stretch and prepare herself for the inevitable. Her room was still littered with cardboard boxes and suitcases as she had only moved the last of them last night. Today marked her first official day at M.U, one of the highest ranked schools in the country. Last night she had officially moved into her new apartment so the entire experience hadn't been given the time to sink in for her. Being from Marley meant that travel to the school would have been deemed impossible however due to some long discussions and after much begging, an agreement was met where herself and longtime friends Mina Carolina and Hitch Dreyse would move in with each other to be closer to the school they had all been accepted in and help cover the costs of living. Even with all three girls living under the same roof, in most situations the costs of renting such an apartment would be considered impossible. However, due to Hitch's parents actually owning said apartment to begin with, the decision was a lot cheaper than one might originally think.

Annie was now making her way to the bathroom to prepare herself physically and mentally for what she imagines will be too many and droll introductions to what the first quarter of her next step of education has in store for her. Before she stepped into the shower she made sure a fitting playlist was put on for some "ambient" music. 'You Think You Know Me (Edge) - song by WWE, Jim Johnston' came up in the shuffle which was more than a satisfying choice for her to listen to while she prepares herself. A longtime fan of Wrestling, it was the one of the few things that could prepare her mentally for the next 6 hours.

After she had finished with her morning routine in the bathroom and got herself dressed, she made her way to the kitchen to prepare herself a breakfast before she was due to leave to catch the first bus of the morning that would take her to the main campus building.

"I can't believe we actually live here!" came a squeal leaving the bedroom that was adjacent to her own. Annie didn't respond to the words as they were the 7th time she had heard it since they all took their first steps into this flat.

"But seriously!" Mina laughed entering the kitchen area. "We've finally got a place we can call our own!" She laughed while pulling a seat out from under the kitchen counter.

"Toast?" Annie asked while putting two slices in for herself. "Please!" replied Mina while she was still taking in her surroundings of their new place. Annie Proceed to put two extra slices in for her roommate Thank you four slots She thought to herself.

"Is Hitch up yet?" Mina asked as she made herself to the fridge to pull out the milk to begin preparations for her coffee.

"Butter" replied Annie, seeing as Mina was already at the fridge. "And I've no idea"

Mina could only roll her eyes. "Of course she would be late on the first day". She made her way to boil the kettle. "You fancy a coffee before we leave?" she asked the blonde as she prepared her personal cup that she wouldn't leave anywhere without.

"No thanks." Annie replied between bites of her toast while she handed a plate to Mina with the two extra slices she added after her own. Even before Mina had a chance to show her gratitude the sound of the front door of the apartment unlocking alarmed them both with their full attention now focused on who or what was about to enter.

"Hey Roomies!" Hitch yelled with a pair of heels in one hand and a coffee cup in the other. "God it is far too bright this morning," she moaned, removing her sunglasses and dropping her heels at her side and made her way to her bedroom at the end of the hallway.

"Are you just getting in?!" Questioned Mina as she began picking up her bag preparing to leave the accommodation for the bus. "Well yeah" replied Hitch making her way back with a new pair of shoes that would be more comfortable for a day you were expected to be on your feet for most of it. "You legit just saw me come in".

"When did you even go out?!" Mina continued to ask "Me and Annie were in Bed for like 11 and you were about to do the same".

Hitch Paused as Annie could easily tell she was trying for her sake to retrace her own steps from last night. The fresh smell of alcohol and 2nd hand smoke made her believe this would be a challenge for her memory.

"Oh yeah, so basically after some guys found out I was back in town for basically the entire year, we decided to have a quick catch up at this great Bar called the Bank and yeah we basically ended up back at this random dudes house who turned out to be a drummer and…". "We have to get going," Annie said as she placed her dish in the sink. It can be washed when I get back, she thought to herself as she picked up her own bag. "You can continue your adventure story when we get on that bus" Annie continued as she opened the front door to allow her friends to exit so she could lock up after.

"Oh shit you're right" Hitch said looking at her phone seeing that time had slightly got the better of her. "Let's get out of here before Mina keeps us behind even more," she laughed giving the girl a playful pat on the head.

Mine couldn't help but roll her eyes further before realising Hitch was still wearing what one could consider risky for a first day of class. "You're seriously not going out like that are you?". Hitch stopped herself in front of the mirror next to the front door. "Oh my god You're right". She took ten extra seconds to fix her hair and from her purse a small bottle of perfume was sprayed to cover the smells brought in from last night. "Done" She chimed and there she was the first out of the door.

"I honestly don't know how she does it" sighed Mina as she was soon to follow. Annie couldn't help but smirk as she locked the door as all three friends started the quick trek to the bus stop.

He had just finished throwing his backpack into the back of his car before he gave one last check that he had definitely locked the front door of the family home. I'm not getting another scolding for that one he thought to himself and he jank the handle up and down.

"Right, Phone, Wallet, Keys." He began to list out aloud so he was sure we weren't leaving anything on his first day. After confirming with himself that he was ready to set off, Eren Jaeger made his way back to his Volkswagen Golf. As he got himself comfortable he took a good look around to ensure there was enough room for the passengers he would be picking up on the way. He was the first to admit he wasn't the tidiest individual you would meet but definitely not the first. Mainly discarded food packaging and the odd hoodie or two that he always kept in the car he kept when it got cold.

That'll be fine He thought as he swept away the last few remonts of what was most likely a Chinese take away on to his floor before taking a mental note that his car was due a major vacuum. However with that later task to take on, he set off out of his driveway for his first day at M.U.

He was barely driving ten minutes before he spotted his first passenger texting on the sidewalk before spotting him and giving him a wave to indicate she had seen him coming up.

"Hey Mikasa" greeted Eren as he pulled up and opened the car door so she could enter the vehicle.

Before he could continue he was cut off when he was handed a small plastic container with something that looked edible on the inside

"I'm going to guess you forgot breakfast this morning" she questioned with the container still in hand. Eren didn't even respond as his mind began to already reply his entire morning as he was more than certain that for once he left his house without leaving anything unchecked but no she was right.

"I guess when I was trying to make sure I was leaving with everything on me from the house, I completely forgot to actually eat" He said opening the container to reveal what looked to be a variety of fruit sliced up. "Mikasa looks like a chef made this!" Eren was a bit taken back to the gesture even after all this time knowing Mikasa. She was always known for looking out and picking up after him but this was something else.

"I prepared it last night with my own meals for the week." she said fastening her seat belt. "I knew you would forget something being the first day and all.

He placed the open container between them so he could eat while he continued to drive. "Yeah but still this is too much but I appreciate it, thank you."

Unbenounced to Eren, Mikasa appreciated those words more than he would ever know. She always had his best intentions at heart, more than she really should, some would say but she would never let that stop her.

Eren got into gear and took off to pick up the next passenger.

"How are you feeling?" Mikasa asked as she pulled down the vanity mirror to check her hair one more time.

"Actually not that bad." Eren replied between bites. "I'm kinda ready to just to get started with the year you know after being off for so long".

Mikasa nodded in agreement while she took a grape from the container she saw Eren was struggling to get while keeping his concentration on the road. "Mouth." was all she needed to say for Eren to open his mouth so she could place it on his tongue.

"I'm also pretty excited to get back in basketball when I get joining this team." He slightly leaned over to Mikasa's side of the car to open the glove compartment. "When you haven't really got access to a proper court to play on all summer, you really begin to miss it".

"Eren focus on the road!". Mikasa pushed Eren back to the driver's side. "Whatever you need in here, I'll get it for you".

Eren sighed and indicated left when he saw the next turn coming up. "I was just getting a C.D for some music since my phone isn't fully charged".

"So that's another thing you forgot to do" Mikasa made sure to mention as she pulled out the small pile of CD's. "And we're not listening to wrestling themes, I'll put music on my phone right now and give you my charger when we're on break".

Eren didn't even see the point of arguing as he reached for another piece of fruit.
